The original bitter man who clings to his quest for power.

Obama is a waste of talent. Could have been one of our most unifying Presidents ever but has become Divider-in-Chief.

Obama is a flim-flam man, a used car salesman in a shiny suit paid for by others.

Abe Lincoln said it best "You can fool all the people some of the time....." Obama did almost that to get elected twice. Now that he's exposed, we see the coward in used sheep's clothing. Even he couldn't fool his wife all the time.

Unfortunately, like the Clintons, we'll be addled with him for years and years more.

John Olson's avatar

Obama was not a "used car salesman." He was a used-car destroyer. His "Cash For Clunkers" program paid car buyers a subsidy if they traded in and destroyed used cars and bought fuel-efficient new ones. New car sales went up temporarily but the price of used cars went up as old but serviceable used cars went to scrap. The permanent effect was nil but Obama called it a success.

And who suffered from that policy the most? Those with the least.

Couldn't agree more. A great orator with a f-k-d up mind who divides to conquer. He even told us that is what he was doing. Now he whines about the very division HE created.

Moe Wigsoe's avatar

If he weren't so thoroughly shallow, dishonest and degenerate.

“ Could have been one of our most unifying Presidents ever …”

Why do you say that? What evidence leads you to that conclusion?

Obama started his career as a community organizer in Chicago, one of the most corrupt jurisdictions in the U.S. He divided and sabotaged to accrete a bigger gang, he didn’t unify groups with disparate policy ideals.

He’s spent his entire adult life doing that, dividing to build a bigger gang to implement his awful and destructive policies. When did he ever unify anyone except his already generally unified partisan gang?

Petey Kay's avatar

He could have used his race (identifying as a black person) to say, "Let's all black and white and whomever come together, and move forward as one big unified happy polity! He chose to use it instead to b.s. white people into voting for his lying liberal, divisive self. When I heard "Bill Ayers" that was enough for me.

Mark Emerson's avatar

Bill Ayers, that’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time.

Barack Obama accelerated the downfall of America....Trump has been trying to undo the damage for the past 10 years. If people could have patience and remember just how bad things were under the last (fake) administration I think he can succeed. Mid terms are critical. If Republicans get out and vote we will win!!! Don't let polls and Main stream Media discourage you.

JJoshua's avatar

You bet your ass he accelerated it. I will state that till the day I die

In his memoir "A Promised Land", Obama calls the Tea Party "the descendents of Jim Crow." Why? Because they disagreed with his fiscal policies under their slogan "Taxed Enough Already." The Tea Party promoted no racially discriminatory policies like segregated schools. They applied no racial test for membership; they welcomed adherents without regard to race and ran some non-white candidates for office. Then, in what way were they "the descendents of Jim Crow"? They weren't. Obama lied about that. It was easier to play the race card than to address the Tea Party's fiscal concerns.

KARYN TRUITT's avatar

that has been the constant response from the left if you disagree. "Racist". When *that* was proven wrong, you became a 'fascist'. Now it is *Islamaphobe* and that is absolutely correct. I do not want to be governed by people who want to kill me.

TriciaandHerDog's avatar

You cannot "Coexist" with people who are trying to kill you.

Mark Emerson's avatar

Democrats, the party of slavery, KKK and Jim Crowe. Their projection is sickening.

Moe Wigsoe's avatar

Understand that Obama doesn't really believe what he says. He is pulling an Alinsky, accusing the other side of what he is doing/did.

Eric F. ONeill's avatar

Of course he understands. He truly has contempt for everyone on the right.

Worse. The bitter clinger remark was about Hillary supporters in the PA primary. It boggles my mind that any owner of a Bible or a gun could be for Hillary but apparently it was a thing. I think they have all followed Sasha's path by now.

Larry Carlisle's avatar

You are a brilliant writer but you still give deference to Obama as if he really cares about the country. Doesn’t understand his party? He stokes the hatred. Any civility from him is strictly performative. And he recognizes the “monster” he helped build. He did it intentionally. Might as well call him, Dr. Barack Frankenstein. Obama is a pathetic little man who believes he can rule the world. To his ilk the real monster is Trump. He is Godzilla who has continually waded into their swamp. Obama and the narcissist to whom he’s married would have had no grief had either attempt on trumps life been successful. But they would have put on a good show.

Alex K.'s avatar

"But I also know I wake up every day with the knowledge that I have been punished for almost ten years for standing up to them, dissenting against their hysteria and cancel culture, humanizing Trump supporters, and eventually voting for Trump. This only goes one way."

Sasha, did you see the video clips of the mob hounding of the handful of women wearing Jennifer Sey's XX-XY Athletics t-shirts at the women's soccer game in Portland? Look it up. It's insane. The security guards manhandled a conservative reporter and threw her out for no reason other than having wrong opinions. Someone knocked ex-Seattle Times sports reporter Matt Calkin's phone from his hand and threw things at him. A man shoved a 60+ y.o lesbian down two rows of seats. This is how they're still punishing people who don't submit to their lunacy. Not just Trump supporters. Like you said, it only goes one way. And you're not the only one.

It’s nearly impossible to discuss anything with people on the left b/c they think they are the better ones, far more virtuous than the mean, old libertarian types who want everyone to pull their own weight and not live off of other people's $$.

As CS Lewis also said, it’s the moral busybodies who are the worst tyrants because “those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”

That movie is based on a true story. Ultimately, the real family on which this story is based got their kids back. https://www.romania-insider.com/society/romanian-bodnariu-family-children-back-norway

A lot of the left really pick on weak targets. It’s sort of the definition of bullying. Like in my small picturesque town where my kids get flipped off by adults because I don’t honk to support the “No Kings” protest I drive by (ironically peopled by individuals who would anoint Obama as King in one second). Adults flipping off kids- nice. Or Piker ripping into Charlie Kirk who is dead (bold move from the big pro-terrorist guy). Or Biden surrounded by secret service slinging profanity-laden insults at blue collar workers in a town hall. Or Gavin Newsom (also surrounded by security 24-7) going online to insult and belittle people who struggle every day to survive and pay their bills and feed their families.

Blasting Trump on a random social media post or with friends in a Starbucks is not an act of bravery because it’s like screaming at the bad guy on the movie screen. Nobody is coming after these people and they know it. But they will never stand up to true tangible evil like the maniac minority guy who wants to toss them in front of a subway train, or the Islamic cleric who has a parade of hijab-wearing women trailing him. That would require true courage and conviction, and not be in the realm of possibility for someone who is nothing more than a spiteful sad bully

I have sometimes wondered what Salem, Massachusetts was like after the madness ended. How did the accused deal with the accusers? How did the accusers feel about what they had done? Was there forgiveness, or polarization that lasted for generations? The same questions come to mind about the Great Divide we are in right now. What comes after? Does the madness win this time? If not, how do we relate to each other afterwards?

Cranky Frankie's avatar

For Obama and his ilk, unity means seeing it his way. Disagree? Now in addition to being a "phobe" you are divisive.

TriciaandHerDog's avatar

It's easy to fight back after being called a "phobe" of some sort. Just use their language against them, such as "homoannoyed," "Islamodisgusted," etc. If they can make up words, so can we. And it's kinda fun.

Oh they know - the people at the top (either in power or behind the scenes). The useful idiot midwits don't, but Obama and the rest absolutely do. The midwits just don't realize they'll be plowed under, too, if the Bolsheviks get their way

Without Obama, there would be no Trump. Simple. He, and the Dems, unleased identity politics and the genie cannot be put back in the bottle. The country is divided because that was their strategy. The country is worse off, much worse, for their desire for a permanent majority.

Mark Emerson's avatar

He’ll never go away. Just look at that screen shot. Always angry. Always hypocritical. He wanted according to his wife to fundamentally change America. He almost got away with it.

The Marxists are always marching. They will never change.

When the Boomers die out and Generation Z become the majority, we are doomed as a country.

You ever listen to them being interviewed?

Scary.

It’s up to Generation X and the Millennials to save this country. I think the Millennials (1981-1996) get a bad rap. My son ‘94 is one. I know many. They are much more conservative than the media portrays. Gen Z I believe is a lost cause.

Us old timer boomers have tried to fix this situation since President Reagan’s Revolution happened 50 years ago. Reagan lost the 1976 election, but came back roaring in 1980. We wish you well Mark. Fight, fight, fight 🇺🇸

Mark Emerson's avatar

He was the first President I voted for. I was 17 in 1980 just 5 months shy of being able to vote. I miss the 80’s. High school, college and married all within 7 years. Personally a great decade for me.
