CS Lewis said it’s the moral busybodies who are the worst of the tyrants because “those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”

And David Rockefeller confirmed that they believe they are the better ones to “take” care of the people in a world government when he said:

“For more than a century, ideological extremists, at either end of the political spectrum, have seized upon well-publicized incidents, such as my encounter with Castro, to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal, working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists,' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure - one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.

“We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost 40 years......It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supernational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national autodetermination practiced in past centuries.”― David Rockefeller, Memoirs

Like Charlie Kirk said, Big Government Sucks! I’m still amazed that people believe government is the answer when we can’t even get along at a local level, let alone at a state and federal level. And they think world government is the answer???

Don't we already have a world government? It's called U.N. Everyone can see how well that works

Thank you Liz! Up until today, I had never seen this speech. It looks as if the media is keeping with their promise. Can you please post a link for this speech? Thank you

It's from his book, Memoirs which I did not read, but should before I go quoting it, so I asked Grok and this is what Grok says: The first quote you provided is indeed from David Rockefeller's Memoirs (2002), specifically on page 405. It reads exactly as you stated, where Rockefeller acknowledges accusations of his family's influence and their alleged role in promoting a "more integrated global political and economic structure." He does say, "If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it," in response to claims of internationalism and global integration.

However, the second quote you provided, which mentions gratitude to media outlets like The Washington Post and The New York Times and refers to a "plan for the world" and a "world government," is not found in David Rockefeller's Memoirs. This quote is often attributed to Rockefeller, typically cited as being from a speech at the Bilderberg Group meeting in 1991 or similar events. However, there is no verifiable primary source, including Memoirs, that confirms Rockefeller said or wrote these exact words. This second quote is widely circulated in conspiracy theory circles but lacks credible documentation tying it directly to Rockefeller or a specific event.

David Rockefeller lived in a bubble of his grandfather's making. Of course he couldn't "develop our plan for the world" with open publicity. Supranational sovereignty? Civilization is managed through the structures of the nation-state, without it there is chaos.

And Zohran Mamdani is another rich boy who will not be shopping in his government grocery stores.

Thomas Sowell said it well, “The offspring of privilege have dominated the leadership of Marxist movements from the days of Marx and Engels through Lenin, Mao, Castro, Ho Chi Minh, and their lesser counterparts around the world and down through history. The sheer reiteration of the "working class" theme in Marxism has drowned out this plain fact.”

I entirely agree with this post! This is a regular feature of New York mayoral elections: First NYC voters elect the leftist, then they grow disenchanted, and within four years, they hate the guts of the incumbent and want him/her out. It happened with Dinkins, It happened with Deblasio, It happened with Adams, even (for those with long memories) with Koch! It will happen with Momdani in a couple years. When he gets no money from Washington, when he gets just a meager amount from Albany, when the city runs aground amid internal Democrat bickering — no matter that he smiles now, he’ll be grimacing then.

Good points, Capt Kitty, although I beg to differ with you about Ed Koch. His mantra was "liberalism with sanity," which actually made some sense in his era, ca. late 70s-late 80s.

Get out of the way. Zohran is every hope and dream of the Elite left. AOC must hate him. He personifies their every inculcated multicultural wet dream. He supports the "oppressed" Palestinians against those pesky people who had it coming. He is for seizing the means of production having never even had a job or produced anything in his privileged life. Of course he says he is not a communist. It must be true, he said it on the View. The list goes on and on. He is exactly what the Left is looking for in a leader. Elite experience, meaning none. A privileged background, indoctrinated at an acceptable little Ivy "hate factory". Downright Intersectional. Ideologically pure and not tarnished by any experience at all that might give rise to actual expectations. He and they have one goal in common, to seize the means of power for their own, trading suicidal empathy, division and vibe for economic, cultural and political freedom. The ideological Progressive Left is thrilled.

My guess is that AOC will see Mamdani as a future running mate. The Left loves them. Bernie and Hillary are too old, Kamala has no skills, Jamal Bowman was voted out of office.

Totally agree about standing back and just watching the train wreck to come. Pivoting back to Obama, when he first came out of nowhere, my reaction was who is this guy? Research indicated he was the classic Democrat backbencher on the far left and a red diaper baby to boot. At the beginning he was smooth and reassuring. The mask would slip whenever Michelle opened her mouth and especially with his "bitter clingers" remark. It is often forgotten that he said that about Hillary supporters, not Republicans. Hillary may be a snake but she is an Establishment snake. Obama's defeat of her was the beginning of the sprint to the left for the Democrats.

I do want Trump to deny the far Left any financial resources that would help them gain strength. Anything Trump's team can do to undermine propaganda from the Left, it should. We do not want to help Mamdani and his Leftist buddies like AOC and Rashida Tlaib with more resources and conned people. But NYC is a lost cause and any conservative who can should leave immediately while they can still get something for their fixed assets.

The elephant in the room is Wall Street. There is no technical reason for them to be centralized and if they bail it will be a huge financial hit. JPMORGAN already has more employees in TX than NY.

Mamdani is interesting to me because I've worked in Uganda for 16 years and understand the culture, and the very separate Indian-descendant culture in Kampala. As a group they are very wealthy. (One of the wealthiest people in UG is Indian with vast swaths of land in sugar cane. He even got the President to allow him to demolish part of a beautiful (and protected) rain forest to expand.) Muslim and Indian cultures (where they aren't also Muslim) in UG are similar - saying anything to anyone in any out-group is totally fine and actually expected to achieve your aims. I think NYC deserves him at this point and totally agree with your "give them what they ask for" premise.

Do you know the hilarious reason why the Anti-liberty left cannot stand being called Commies?

The song and dance is that, after a certain time of socialism, the state is supposed to 'wither away' to a perfect "Utopia" of Communistic bliss.

And if you believe that, I've got a nice bridge on San Francisco Bay I can sell you.

Mayday! Mayday! Mayday! The Democratic Party is in full systemic collapse. They are backed into a corner and fighting , like rabid animals, for their lives with one after the other, after the other outrageous affront to Democracy which only serves to highlight their desperation and speed up their demise. Mamdani will take NYC. I just hope they don't come crying to the rest of us taxpayers to bail them out of the certain economic hell they are signing up for.

I've been saying this since the 2024 election. Let the Democrats self-destruct. There will be pain (especially for the residents of NYC), but sometimes we have to let things get worse before we can make them better.
