With all due respect, Biden didn’t win 2020. The evidence is overwhelming that the left cheated in many ways. But all was meant to be. Seeing the dichotomy between the disaster of Biden and a Trump who is fixing things will help restore our Republic quicker.

Kathleen's avatar

Exactly- a guy who unsuccessfully ran for president three times before suddenly getting more votes than anyone in our history???

He rarely left his basement, and when he did leave there were maybe 20 people at his “rallies”.

I will never believe that he won because I know better

Bernadette's avatar

And they should have just let him win, in retrospect. (For their own sake) Giving him several years to regroup and then go after him so heavy handily… they would have had him with one hand behind his back still if he’d just gone through a second term immediately.

Grieving Father's avatar

Exactly correct. With four years to reflect, plan, and progessive lunacy to build upon, Trump is much stronger now than he would have been after a 2020 win. Though I still think the 2020 election was stolen, I think the way things worked out was a blessing.

Gene Frenkle's avatar

Especially since Biden did a better job of implementing the America First agenda than Trump. Biden even eventually secured the border after Trump failed in his first term.

Kathleen's avatar

Gene- what world do you live in???

Gene Frenkle's avatar

Illegal immigration spiked in 2019 when the construction boom started…Covid simply delayed the inevitable. So those rents that have been declining?? That’s thanks to illegals delivering a record number of apartment units in 2023/24.

Cat C.'s avatar

COVID has been over for 4 years. Only in crazy, insane blue states does it take 4 years to build an apartment building.

Cat C.'s avatar

And almost 2 million illegal aliens are no longer in the country, which has opened up apartments. And NO "THANKS to the illegals", who suppressed my blue collar working husband who worked like a dog fixing highly technical electrical, heating, air condition and other systems over 40 years, getting paid a lot less than today, after he retired after COVID, after his body got racked and ruined from the very physically demanding work. We now have work that needs to be done on our home and it's costing a FORTUNE. It's incredible what people are charging today. Where does my husband and I go to get reparations for not being paid what he deserved due to the Democrat's allowing illegal aliens to run over the border and flood the market?

Gitch's avatar

I'm really don't remember Biden securing the border. Maybe he paid to secure the Ukrainian border?

Cat C.'s avatar

A couple of months before the election, the illegal alien swarm across the border was greatly lessened, in an attempt to help Harris get elected.

Gene Frenkle's avatar

Illegals helped Trump because they sway Florida elections.

susan's avatar

I am speechless that anyone would say such an ironic contradiction to reality.

Gene Frenkle's avatar

Imports at record levels!! Thanks Trump! 🙏

Cat C.'s avatar

That's another lie coming out of your month. The trade deficit is AT A RECORD LOW. Thanks Trump!

Cat C.'s avatar

Except that Biden admin. did infiltrate the judicial system. Right now, there's 300 "writs of Habeas Corpus" (they are frivolous) that leftist attorneys in MN have thrown into the court cases of the child sex molesters (including "strong-arm an@l penetration"), murderers, thieves, gang bangers, etc. that ICE has rounded up, stopping the proceedings while DOJ deals with them.

Gene Frenkle's avatar

No, Biden did an outstanding job and so Trump has inherited not one but two great situations upon becoming president. Contrast what Trump inherited to what Obama inherited from Bush or what Trump inherited from Biden. We as a country got very lucky Biden stole the election and very unlucky Bush stole the 2000 election.

Cat C.'s avatar

HAHAHAHAHA. This is too funny for words. Stop lying. Wages are up, inflation is down to 2.7% (which also increases wages because inflation is not longer eating up wages), GDP is WAY higher than Biden and I could go on....stop lying. And Obama never had 3 consecutive quarters of GDP over 3% and he had tons of spending and TONS of "quantitative easing" that helped him out. As for Bush, an independent group counted ALL the ballots in FL (it took over 6 months), after Bush's inauguration and Bush won by over 1000 votes. Bush DIDN'T STEAL THE ELECTION.

Gene Frenkle's avatar

Obama had lower deficits than Trump in his last 3 years…so in Trump’s first 3 years GDP averaged 2.5% with increasing deficits to 4.5% ratio compared to Obama’s last 3 years with 2.5% GDP and deficit ratio of 3%. 3% is Bessent’s target and Obama hit it while Trump inherited it and increased it.

Cat C.'s avatar

Trump had COVID so there's no comparing to Obama.

Just before COVID hit, the GDP was just below 4%, with low unemployment, high "employment participation rate", low interest rates, low inflation and the Treasury had record amounts of money coming in because of the record increases in wages, esp. teens and young adults and low wage persons, with a historical record of wage increases for minority youth.

Gene Frenkle's avatar

Nope, the economy was slowing just before Covid. Trump’s first 3 years were before Covid and he never hit 3% GDP growth while the deficit ratio increased every year BEFORE Covid. Trump inherited the Obama economy with low inflation and solid GDP growth and a manageable deficit and all Trump did was increase the deficit!

Gene Frenkle's avatar

Gene Frenkle's avatar

Trump got very lucky Biden stole the election because Biden did a great job cleaning up the 2020 Trumpster Fire. Violent crime and fentanyl ODs both spiked in April 2020 due to $250 billion in PPP fraud which was the most destructive government program in history! Trump did two very positive things in 2020–he surrendered to the Taliban and he developed the Covid vaccines…for those two things I will always be grateful but I’m happy Biden stole the election.

john musil's avatar

this poster is a bot! No person could be this deluded.

Gitch's avatar

I think you have the ppp loan and taliban timeline off by a couple years

Gene Frenkle's avatar

PPP loans started in April 2020 and that’s when the fraud started. The surrender to the Taliban was in February 2020.

Cat C.'s avatar

The PPP went until May of 2021, 4 months AFTER Biden took office and Biden continued the extra $500 per unemployment check for another nearly 2 years, which kept people from working and drove up inflation/prices (because of lack of workers) and kept the economy stagnant. He also kept the "rental freeze" in place for nearly 2 years, even though SCOTUS said he didn't have the authority to do that (only Congress did). And Trump didn't "surrender to the Taliban", but Biden did. Trump had these demands of the Taliban before we would move out of Afghanistan: 1. WE would continue to have control, indefinitely, of Bagram air force base. 2. The Taliban would have to form a coalition government with the Afghan government. 3. They could NOT do any "terrorist-ty" things while this transformation took place 4. They couldn't hurt a single hair on any American's head. Biden abandoned all of that.

Gene Frenkle's avatar

Violent crime spiked along with fentanyl deaths in April 2020. The majority of the $250 billion in fraud took place in 2020 because the prosecutions started in 2020 and by January 2021 the free for all was pretty much over.

And Trump nicely asked the Taliban if we could return to Bagram last year!! They declined!! Trump could easily take it back if he wanted to but then the war he ended restarts.

Cat C.'s avatar

Violent crime was up, over all, by the end of Biden's term (did you read the articles on how the stats coming from AGs and the FBI under Biden were WAY off and violent crimes WAS UP and not down, like they said. They were lying to try and help Biden win the election.

Gene Frenkle's avatar

The murder spike started in April 2020. And the reason you know the PPP loans dried up was because vehicle break ins started in 2021 because the gang wars continued. Property crimes actually decreased in 2020 because PPP fraud was easier. So property crimes are often the precursor to gang violence because thugs need funds for guns. PPP provided those funds in 2020.

Well said, Kurt! We must give credit where credit is due, and Sasha is firing on all truth cylinders. Bravo, Sasha!

ChrisC's avatar

Agree, this is one of her best pieces.

PapayaSF's avatar

Excellent and insightful. The left cannot imagine that Trump, Vance, Musk, Miller and the rest might actually be smart, well-intentioned patriots. It’s hard to defeat what you don’t understand.

Valerie's avatar

Exactly. And I would add competent. Most of the Trump cabinet members are the most astonishingly competent government leaders in my lifetime.

Brian M's avatar

Bessent, Rubio, Wright are the best I have ever seen at what they do. Hegseth makes a lot of mistakes in his passion as does Noem.

Marilyn M. Krzus's avatar

You forgot Stephen Miller. I don’t think Hegseth is making ANY mistakes, except for not court-martialing Kelly.

Valerie's avatar

I’d include Lutnick too. The ones I’m not as thrilled with are Bondi and Noem, mostly because they seem to speak too soon with too much confidence about unfolding issues, which then turn out to be different than what they said. It undermines their credibility and the credibility of the entire admin.

Gene Frenkle's avatar

Trump appointed Tillerson and Wray and Rosenstein and McMaster and Bolton…and so he kissed a lot of 🐸 before found his 🫅. 😉

Steenroid's avatar

That’s because Noem and Hegseth aren’t very intelligent especially compared to the other three.

Speaking of demoncrat liars & fakes, (we've all experienced the resulting poverty & destruction of their policies, clearly NO lives matter to them), anyone else find so called 'attack' on 0mar & her response rather Jussie Smollett style suspicious?

Data Republican called it: Representative Omar continued her town hall because of one of two options:

1. She does not have the self-preservation instincts accompanying being sprayed with a smelly substance, such as getting a doctor to check it out or even as simple as washing it off.

2. She staged it.

There are no other options. ~ https://x.com/DataRepublican/status/2016357587193561161

Gitch's avatar

Won't happen, I've been waiting for purp walks for years with these posers. I want Walz to walk first

Bernadette's avatar

I don’t know why people forget that the Dems want the illegal population also because of House seats. John Roberts (boo) was the deciding vote in 2020 to allow illegals to be counted for representation. So blue states are currently over represented in Congress. It’s the modern day equivalent of the 3/5 compromise.

Brian M's avatar

That vote needs to be taken again. It would fail 5-4

Jeff Keener's avatar

Trump IS the Resistance. To be anti-Trump is to be pro-status quo. The status quo is unsustainable and unaffordable.

Valerie's avatar

Yes! I’ve had many people/clients tell me how upset they are that Trump is ‘just cutting funding and programs with no idea what impact he’s having’. Usually because it affects the funding of their own job (one I’m thinking of is in IT for the IRS and still supports their original legacy system from like 1955 I think she said… alarming, and the other one off the top of my head is a woman who works in the schools under a federal contract for OT).

I like to remind them that government spending has just grown exponentially for decades with minimal oversight and at it’s unsustainable now and that their party has had many opportunities to address it in a different way and they didn’t. And I also remind them that the spending that is necessary and adding value won’t be going anywhere.

Brian M's avatar

Every $ that goes to the government is one less $ for investing in the private sector. The private sector is productive, or bankruptcy is the result. So $ investments are amplified and grow the economy. Govt is ALWAYS less than productive on a $ for $ basis (1 unit in results in less than 1 unit out). Growing government stops economic growth which is why the economy was getting trapped below 2% GDP growth under Obama. Trump has removed those shackles and now we are looking at 4% growth or better, the only way to solve the affordability problem.

Valerie's avatar

Yes, and also… how stupid is it that government spending is included in GDP? It’s not productive, it’s just spending.

Orenv's avatar

Indeed. What incentive is there for Government to be efficient? I would say two things. One is that there is an incentive to keep doing the same things because that is what you know and is easy. Keeping the inefficiency in place allows for expanded big guy cuts to everyone involved. The more complex, the better. This is the advantage of using computer systems designed in the 60's and keeping them online.

R Orwell's avatar

Wow again Sasha! I know of no one else able to reveal the essence of a soulless movement as you are. Your writings are always tight and insightful. Thank You.

Dave M's avatar

Great writing. Again. The only good news is that the left is nihilistic and out of control. Over time that thins out their numbers. It also drains their energy. Which oftentimes ends in self destruction. And I’ve noticed that a lot of the crazies are the leading edge of the boomers. Leftists who have been perpetually both entitled and angry throughout life. They are old and looking for one more protest “like in the 60s man!” The rest of us just have to keep on keeping on. Holding the line. Taking care of ourselves.

If the economy does indeed take off as seems likely, people’s anxiety will go away eventually. They will want to enjoy life. That will just isolate the crazies.

If indeed the midterms go well for Trump and the GOP, my guess is that the crazies will still be nuts but their anger will be entirely self directed and directed at the Democrats. 2028 will come along and they will be majorly screwed. Their future will be very bleak.

Make sure you vote in the midterms. You could very well be a part of one of the biggest changes in the political landscape since the 1960s. IMO it’s that big.

Casey Jones's avatar

I'd further the motion: If We don't show up en masse for the midterms, the world is screwed. Seriously.

Brian M's avatar

We need a massive marketing campaign funded by a few conservative billionaires like Musk or Thiel to make sure conservatives vote in November. Where possible, conservatives need to apply the same vote harvesting techniques as Democrats (ie grab as many loose ballots as possible and "help" the registrant fill out the ballot and deposit it at a polling place; pay people to give up their ballots before filling them out). This is war and in war we fight however we need to in order to win

Cat C.'s avatar

Within the written law. If we break the law like they do, what's the point?

This is excellent. You understand what's going on here and who Trump is and his role amidst the chaos and the media's portrayal and you nailed it. Thank you.

Child of the 80's's avatar

I am glad for the Minnesota reset.

I am tired of the constant chaos and angst. With a son on the left, it has caused a lot of personal pain to be estranged. It's on him, as we aren't rah rah Trump. Just didn't vote the way he thought we should, so we betrayed him. Whatever. Just about the time things start to improve a little, a new thing happens. As Sasha says, it's by design and highly effective. But the fallout is real for everyone.

While I'm on my soapbox, I'm also tired of the constant vulgar language! Who raised you people? My mom would have washed my mouth out with soap! You think it makes you sound tough? It makes you sound like you have the stunted vocabulary of a junior high student in the bathroom writing on the stall walls.

mrdoug1's avatar

I agree about the vulgar language more & more on display by so many, including public figures. Although I sometimes listen to Megyn Kelly, her apparent pride in frequently brandishing the “F word” diminishes her.

Child of the 80's's avatar

The occasional, true expression I can see. The go-to word for every sentence doesn't add weight to your words. And I will tune you out or, more likely, turn you off.

As one of the MAGA Trump supporters I was not pleased to see the pullout of Minneapolis/St Paul even though I suggested cutting back only in the twin cities on another substack. After reading this substack I have a different view. Thanks Sasha

As a Navy vet I admit the goose bumps came while watching 'Sail Away' once the video went to the Adventure (former recruiting ad 'Not just a job, an Adventure'). That video is a great recruiting ad also.

I also like the Chamath video. As a more recent All-In viewer I thought he was always on the right other than his push for 'alternative power'. I was not aware he had taken the Red Pill after years of watching the propaganda machine.

Valerie's avatar

ICE didn’t pull out of Minneapolis, from what I’ve read they changed leadership and Walz has agreed that local LEOs will do their job to maintain order around ICE activities, and that ICE will now be housed in a military installation. Did I miss something? I did have a busy day yesterday…

I actually got tears with the Navy rendition of ‘come sail away’, but I’m like that with the National Anthem too… and I’m not emotional about anything else. Truly. My dad is a retired AF fighter pilot (93 years old) but I could sing all the military fight songs by the time I started school. I have such a soft heart and appreciation for all of our military. My husband spent a few years in the Navy before going to college, and my oldest son is 10 years in with the Air Force. 🥹

Jeff Lynn's avatar

My understanding from another substack, by a former CIA operative, is that ICE pulled back from MN. To what extent but there is a reduction in the Twin Cities that Walz and Frey have acknowledged. Yes, Tom Homan has replaced the man previously in charge of ICE in MN. Thanks to all of your family that have served and are serving, even if they were in the junior service of the AF (sevice rivalry they will understand 😉😉)

A great meme I caught the other day: Obama's ICE chief received an award for all the deportations under his leadership. Trump's ICE chief is called a NAZI for deportations under his leadership. It's the same guy, Tom Homan!

As Chamath Palihapitiya says, this is about Truth. So many of the Left/Media/Dem crowd take their cues from “poses”, acting, or empty terms like “creating narratives”, or “it is about ‘the work’”.

To regular people this sounds like so much BS, if not outright propaganda.

Seeking the Truth will never let you down; swallowing position papers will always take you down a rabbit hole to Alice’s Mad Hatter Tea Party.

The Democrats are the only group that considers a complete lack of self-awareness a virtue. Their slogan should be:

The Democratic Party - Grifting since 1828

pjb535i's avatar

I would suggest dating Democrat lawlessness back to at least 1804, the year Aaron Burr murdered Alexander Hamilton.

Brian M's avatar

Truth! The Dems have always been lawless and violent. Democrats dominated the southern states leading up to the Civil War and in fact started that war. Democrats had no problem enslaving people from Africa and calling them less than human. It was Dems following the Civil War who created the Ku Klux Klan. Then there was the violent union protests in the late 1800s that resulted in many deaths. This is in their DNA. People who have this defect are attracted to the Dem party which embraces lawlessness
