A Substack Collective would be a good investment. Collect the top 30 conservative posters and share them into a weekly post. I would pay for THAT content, and the posters could divvy up the income in some measured fair way.... JUST AN IDEA FOR SOME budding ENTREPRENEUR.
I've had similar thoughts. Sort of a readers digest. It would be most interesting to have a pick 15 out of my 30 that you could change monthly. [like my cable tv] For some of us, giving up site we no longer found useful or have gone off the rails would be a interesting monthly poll of sorts.

I dropped Free Press about a year ago when a lot of the writers seemed mostly liberal, but now that they have Douglas Murray back I might re-subscribe. Taibbi (Racket News) was good until he got rid of Walter Kirn and then hired liberal biased writers to report the "news" which got very irritating. If it was just Taibbi writing I would have stuck with it. Again, I might go back at some point. I do subscribe to Public (Shellenberger) which is always good.

For general news (not AI-specific), I maintain paid subscriptions to National Review, Skeptic, and City Journal, both the magazines and online in all three cases. In the online-only world, I maintain paid subscriptions to Sasha Stone, Racket News (Matt Taibbi), The Honest Broker (Ted Gioia), and The Free Press. I find that it's a lot to read, especially in addition to the flood of AI-related readings I get in my inbox every day, but I I generally enjoy the syntheses that I get from the different perspectives.
I think Bari Weiss has done a good job with TFP post-CBS sale. I see a wider variety of authors and opinions/perspectives, and sometimes some unexpected, really powerful articles on topics that are not on my radar but help to keep my understanding of the world more rounded/informed. I suggest you see if you can engage with any free TFP content to see if my opinion of the site might ring true and be attractive to your brain.
Over at Racket News, the loss of ATW with Matt and Walter was hard on me. Before ATW ended, the transcripts had become virtually unreadable for me. My observations of events is that Racket News started going through a series of paroxysmal spams after Matt's brain injury. As a survivor of TBI myself, I know how common it is for survivors to experience significant life disruption/reconfiguration dynamics after the injury. I still subscribe to Racket News because I want to support him during this phase he is going through. I see Matt still struggling to find his new Racket News identity. He and another guy have a weekly podcast called "Get Lit", where they talk about books, like Matt and Walter used to do. As much I as I want to engage with Get Lit, they are not posting transcripts and I very rarely watch or listen to podcasts, so the content they are developing is not available in a way that aligns with my ingestion needs. My gut says it's probably going to take Matt the rest of this year to get Racket News reconfigured.
I appreciate you taking the trouble to respond - all good observations. I am glad to hear TFP is improving and will definitely give it another chance. I also subscribe to Christopher Rufo's substack, and Reality's Last Stand as well as the Glinner Update which focus more on the gender insanity.

I now have 130+ subscriptions and a fair amount of turnover, but you are in a category of one. You write from the heart. It’s like your pieces are love letters to a future generation of Americans. You put so much work and effort into your posts that even the ones about brutal events are great listening. Your work is important. You are important. Thank you for all you do.

Other commenters have no clue. I read Powerline for info, not to comment, so no popups appear to me. One founding member had TDS, but he’s long gone and the others are great! They fight against Deep Blue MN all the time, and were the first to expose Somali fraud years ago, well before Nick Shirley. They tell the true stories about George Floyd, Tim Walz, Ilan Omar’s bigamy and fraud, MN’s Covid overreach - all of it! Go there and try for yourself. As I said, they’ve been linking to Sasha. What does that tell you?

It’s weird but I feel like the left dismisses friends and family with as much thought as tossing aside a candy wrapper. The justification: Trump and Republicans are such awful monstrosities, that anyone who can even tolerate them for one second is a monster too.
Yet I have eye witnessed people on the left slashing tires and gouging car doors in LA, screaming at children, right in their faces, in New England (because of a perception that their parents are conservative), and more. But moderates who tolerate Trump are monsters. Oh well.

When I discovered your Substack, it was just by chance as I browsed my newsfeed. I found myself checking every day to see if you had posted an article. I shared the ones you did post with multiple friends, introducing them to your honest and thoughtful narratives, hoping they would also subscribe. Then I realized if I was so committed to reading your stack, it was definitely worth paying such a small amount for your terrific content. Just seemed the right thing to do for something I got so much from. Proud to be a subscriber even without any “perks”.
