I don’t subscribe because I want special treatment, I subscribe because what you write is worth my time to read, and I think you ought to get paid for that. Thanks, Sasha!
Same. I subscribe to support Sasha. If others can’t afford it or don’t want to make the commitment, fine. I freeload off a few others I don’t support as much. Give some, get some.
Just to be accurate, communists also want people to be paid for their labor, but they also want workers to have an ownership stake without having to invest capital. 😉
And when I use the word “voice” I mean it two-fold. A critical, cultural, social and political point of view “voice” AND an actual pitch perfect podcast voice that is a pleasure to listen to. A great twofer.
I subscribe because I really like what you are doing and your backstory of what you have had to overcome and the strength that it required. I simply want to support you and will continue to do so. Your content, whether behind a paywall or not is great.
I pay because I like your writing. I subscribe to over 100 but pay for only a couple dozen. The other ones have something behind a paywall that I decide to pay for. Your writing just resonates with me. No one else gets the free pass to paid subscription. Thank you.
Yeah about Substack. I love the content and long form content but the tech leaves something to be desired. Just this morning it wouldn't let me post over at Yuri's place where I am also a paid subscriber. It wanted me to sign in but the email to do that never came. I checked the spam folder, tried a different browser, turned off my VPN, restarted the laptop but nothing worked. Then I discovered I could post from Android.
Yup. There is a lot that sucks. I hate when the apps don't have all the features of the webpage and you have to go in the website for certain functions. Terrible design IMO
Do what you need to do. I want to support you. And, yes, sometimes all these subscriptions become overpowering, and I have to get rid of somebody but it won’t be you.

Thanks! I came on here to say just that.
Exactly what I was going to say! 💜
So right. Me too, I also think people should be paid for their work.
I chose to pay because I’m not a Commie and I believe people should get paid for their labors whether physical or mental.

Yeah workers were in heaven under Stalin and Mao.
Well worth the price of admission. You have a voice. Happy to support it with my $.

You are a great contributer to political commentary.
Stay the course.

I'm happy with your content either way, Sasha. I'm with you to the end!
This person reminded me of Frances Fisher in Titanic- will the seating in the lifeboats be arranged by class?
We appreciate your work Sasha.

My tip of the day for you Sasha: Live each day to the fullest, Love every day as if it is your last, and always, always follow your dreams.
They really should do it themselves, IMO.
That being said, I find Substack is not user friendly in many ways, such as unsubscribing can sometimes not be so easily to get too.
You should have a template email set up with instructions on how to unsubscribe, then send it to these users.
That way, every time you get these emails just load up the template email and send.

You are the perk.
Perfect response! Sasha IS the perk!

I do not need to know how to unsubscribe or get a refund Sasha. I just need you to let me know when I need to resubsribe.
Me too😃
Just get back on Twitter if you know what I mean. Hollywood I’m kinda done with.
❤️
No Tucker drops
No Ben Shapiro drops, either.
No twitter whining either
