Some of you might find this interesting. Jerry Seinfeld tears up when he talks about going to Israel. He also talks about comedy, writing, and what it’s like to live in New York and LA.
A Note on Comments:
We have two different factions of people in these comments (and everywhere else). The dominant voices are very much anti-Israel. They see the war in Gaza as “genocide.” If you defend Israel or try to say it isn’t a “genocide,” you are condemned as a “Zionist.”
I don’t want every post to turn into a debate over the war in Gaza. I realize I do not write about it much, if at all. I believe Hamas is a backward, insane, fundamentalist sect that wants to wipe Israel off the map. They’ve lied repeatedly and have stolen aid and food meant for the people. They’re scum in my mind. But I understand how people feel about the occupation, the war, the bloodshed, the women and children killed.
The comments shouldn’t be used to hijack the post, especially to post lengthy pieces or argue who is right in the war, unless it’s specific to the post.
That said, here is some space to argue about it if you want without having to hijack other posts that aren’t about the war.
Thanks.
Sasha , Isreal left Gaza in 2005 . It’s not “ occupied “ at all. If they stopped attacking Israel , she would leave them alone.
I confess to being a Zionist though I am not either Jewish or evangical. Israel is simply the only place that Jews can be safe which was the original point of Zionism. Originally, it was France but Dreyfus. Then it was Germany but Nazis. Then it was the US but Democrats. So now it is only Israel.
