I'm a 4th generation CA my husband is from Louisiana and we are currently on vacation in Natchitoches, LA. I love the South, people are truly wonderful. Everything Tucker says is true.

Get out of the cities and it's another universe. Thank you Tucker and we are the people. The people of our country are wonderful, the government and status quo suck. Thank you, Sasha.

I’m so glad you love the South! It’s a wonderful part of the country bc the people are great! I’m reminded wherever I go that 95% of the people I see are wonderful, helpful, good Americans. Our problems now are generated by our government and the people who don’t understand what they’re doing to our country. Fight back!! Don’t allow them to divide us!!!——-this is their goal! We are stronger than them. Open your eyes, do what’s best for your family, vote for your country. God Bless America!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Well, unfortunately, behaving that way would be promoting lies.

Some of the things promoted by the left these days actually are evil and we simply can’t pretend they aren’t, Especially if we are claim the labels Christian or Catholic.

That may make some people uncomfortable, but telling people it’s okay the abort children up until birth or telling kids that it’s okay to mutilate their bodies in some misguided quest to be their ‘true selves’ denies truths contained in our holy scripture. It is, in fact, evil. It is against everything we are taught in our faith, as it goes against God’s order and plan for people.

You don’t just easily live with evil if you are a serious Christian (or other brand of religious person). Good and evil really matters. It’s not just another lifestyle choice. That’s a trap.

I understand that our society has a real problem with truth which had led us to this weird ‘what is a woman’ moment. But calling ‘evil’ good to ease your conscience and/or ‘not cause trouble’ isn’t the way forward. That’s what got us into this mess. The adults in the room went along with dumb because it’s ‘freedom’.

I like freedom as much as the next person, but this is social anarchy. I don’t like anarchy. And anyone who has broke out of a dysfunctional family can testify that the path the weirdos are taking us on isn’t leading anywhere good. Been there, done that, got the emotional scars and memories that prove that this leads nowhere good.

I have the duty to fight against evil as a Christian. It is a moral hazard if I don’t because that would be leading others into sin. That’s the exact opposite of what we are told to do as Christians.

I can deal with the moralizing of the Right because I realize most of it is fringe, bluster and not going anywhere.

But when the Left tells me to deny the truth in front of me and has actual issues identifying what a woman is - and they are in control of most institutions, I can’t just ‘let it go’. Especially when They’ve jumped the shark and lost the plot.

No, these communities are not the same or equal. One actually is evil and it needs to be called out for the damage it’s doing to society. The right has its own problems, but they aren’t trying to twist normal things, like basic womanhood, into something ugly.

When elites start bragging and celebrating the fact that they are or hang out with pagan witches and Satancon (in Boston) is sold out, a lot of religious people simply can’t ignore it and ‘just (willingly) live with it’.

Good doesn’t want to live with evil. Light doesn’t want to be smothered by the dark. And darkness doesn’t want the light to expose it.

I’m sorry it makes you uncomfortable to acknowledge that, but some of us truly don’t want to live in the society that the Left is trying to build. And we’d be perfectly happy if they moved on and stopped trying to convert us into their demented DEI/woke cult. (I just noticed how if you move the E and the I it would be DIE, how icky now that I’ve seen that. Kind of reminds me of the whole ‘google don’t be evil’ thing and well, look how google ended up behaving).

Just like a lot of people on the Left hate religious people, we hate the demented kooks who are currently twisting our society into something ugly. That’s where the ‘communities’ are equal. A lot of hate, anger, and frustration towards the other group.

In the end, I don’t want to be a part of anyone’s cult, Left or Right. And neither tribe particularly has love for me because of it. I’m not particularly MAGA or Leftist kook. But I’d chose MAGA any day over what the Left is currently offering. I have no interest in living in a death cult and that’s all the Left seems offers at this point.

Death to women. Death to children. Death to masculinity. Death to prosperity and safety and normal.

The two ‘communities’ simply aren’t equal lifestyles, except in their mutual loathing of each other.

I agree. As much as I want to believe that people just have the best intentions, it is not true. Some people are evil, and if I just go along and try not to ruffle feathers I am living a lie. We must do our best to call out evil when we find it. To not do so is to condone it. Solzhenitsyn said as much in his essay, Live Not By Lies. People say we should not judge, but when we don't, evil wins. https://www.solzhenitsyncenter.org/live-not-by-lies

Our societies entire morality is based on Judeo-Christianity, right/wrong/good/evil. Even unbelievers are beneficiaries of this moral landscape. Sure, there are some drawbacks to too much religious dogma. Updates to dogma from secular have done good (abolish slavery being one). But on a whole religiosity is a major boon and positive to our species. We may not be enjoying this dialogue without it pre dating us

And yeah, both parties have some serious moral questions. Power can corrupt regardless of political label

Expand full comment
Sun Love Pax's avatar

I don’t disagree. I find what passes for politics to be utterly disgusting and there are very few candidates I can actually vote for and or support. I have no problems writing in candidates, leaving blanks for offices or voting 3rd party. Acting like it is some how a revelation that both parties are evil at this point really gets us nowhere, given where we are. A lot of us didn’t just wake up to that yesterday, but we’ve learned to work with the tools we are given. Not voting at all is also a choice many people use to ‘fight the system’.

For me, the Republicans are a tool, weak and ineffective, but really the only thing that stands against dumber. Until a stronger tool emerges, that’s the political tool I have, Love ‘em or hate ‘em (and I’ve been in hate category since around 2014), so I’ve been disgusted with both parties for awhile now. Even going back to the ‘shut up and sit down’ days of the GWB presidency, I wasn’t a big fan of the organization, but that’s when I still had that idealism about being able to ‘change things for the better’, if we just worked w/in the system. A lot of us were so naive then.

In the end, none of this is particularly good. However, since I’m not a fan of anarchy, I’m going to vote for people who want to clean up the streets and talks about living ordered lives and respects my culture. People who get the fundamentals correct. Nobody is perfect, but I’d rather have people that err on the side of good, rather than the side of evil. Even if they are just voting that way to appease their donors and don’t really care about anyone, but themselves. That’s just another piece of our screwed up society that needs an overhaul.

If someone has a rational, reasonable option for something different, then I’ll take a look. But, at this point, I just don’t think RFK, Jr. Is sleazy enough to actually win a primary. At that level, you don’t win w/o the sleaze. Neither party is particularly interested in us living freely. That’s a myth.

I can personally attest that there are many people who, while claiming they are not political and simply make choices based on their devotion to religious views, are all in on the leftists and truly despise any conservative thought. My SIL, former nun and devout Catholic, loves Biden, hates MAGA, and hates Tucker with a passion.

I can’t even begin to understand this line of thought, despite more than 2 years of discussions with her about it. To her, progressives are the ones who are trying to implement her religious ideals.

What people call "Democrats" these days are classical fascists:

- merger of corporate (Pfizer) and state power

- blackshirts (BLM, Antifa) in the street beating and murdering opposition

- mass censorship (via Google, Facebook, all corporate media)

- state-controlled and state-funded propaganda (Twitter files, NPR, PBS)

- firing of dissenters (~100% of academia and "journalism" is the violent far-left)

- political prisoners (J6, Assange)

- frequent conformity tests like giving the Hitler salute (masks, vaxx cards)

- dehumanization of opposition (Biden's Hitleresque rant against MAGA, Turdeau asking if the unvaxxed should be "tolerated")

Another great plus is now we see how many really like Hannity and not just how many stayed tuned in after Tucker. Hannity is the perfect anchor for FOX which is to CNN, MSNBC, et al what Republicans are to Democrats: fake opposition. These narrow left/right, Rep/Dem, con/lib dichotomies pretend to be the boundaries of reality when don't meet their very limited definitions. They pretend you can choose A or B and anything else is considered insane or evil. Hannity likes to be the puddin' stick, but all he gets upset over are Reps getting unfairly treated by Dems. He never acknowledges the Reps role in preventing any real opposition from challenging the status quo they enjoy with the Dems.

Losing Tucker and Bongino means that Fox just becomes another predictable, plastic news station to pander to big pharma, repeat the same old tired talking points, and placate the Republicans who pay little attention to the details of life. Between giving up on Fox and cancelling my Fox Nation subscription, I now have more time to listen to your podcasts and other free-thinking truth-seeking sources of information, so that's the silver lining in this cloud.
