"Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that." —MLK Jr.

This is the most profound lesson from their leader that the left never bothered to learn or take to heart. Their darkness is consuming them as a result, and their minds are ripe for occupation as a result.

To wit, here is a message from a hardworking legal immigrant:

"Not long after I came to America, I was exposed to the narrative that the Democrat Party was the party of the little guy and the only party with genuine care and compassion for the average American. Fortunately, because I grew up under a dictatorship, I could not be easily fooled by socioeconomic shackles masquerading as compassionate public policy. The truth is there is no compassion like Democrat compassion. It is the kind of compassion that lets people shoot illicit drugs into their body with the government's assistance. It is the kind of compassion that sees assisted suicide as a moral virtue. Democrat compassion is the kind of compassion that lets you rob the innocent in hardworking businesses in your neighborhood and walk out with impunity with no fear of prosecution.

Democrat compassion is the kind of compassion that tells vulnerable women it is their right to abort and sacrifice their unborn children on the perverted altar of female empowerment and convenience. Democrat compassion is the kind of compassion that tells children they were born in the wrong body and encourages and subsidizes their mutilation. Democrat compassion is the kind of compassion that lets boys unfairly compete against girls and take their records, their opportunities, and their scholarships, and invade their private spaces turning back decades of hard-fought gains.

Democrat compassion is the kind of compassion that allows homeless people to defecate on sidewalks and sleep in tents in public parks while watching them as they abuse drugs and suffer through mental illness.

Democrat compassion is the kind of compassion that tells independent contractors that they don't have the right to choose how and when they work, in the name of protecting them from big bad corporations.

It is the kind of compassion that raises the minimum wage by government fiat and takes the earnings of fast food workers from $15 an hour to zero in a single day.

Democrat compassion is a kind of compassion that restricts the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens, leaving them vulnerable to the criminals their compassion let out of prison with their no-bail policies.

Democrat compassion is the kind that secures the borders of Ukraine and leaves the American border wide open, allowing un-vetted illegal immigrants to wreak havoc on small towns and big cities alike and allowing drug cartels to kill 100,000 Americans each year with the poison of fentanyl.

This compassion is the kind of compassion that forces millions of Americans to close their businesses and to take experimental vaccines under the threat of losing their jobs and their livelihood.

It is the kind of compassion that praises Antifa as freedom fighters and raids the homes of pastors and churchgoers at dawn because they protested at the doors of abortion clinics.

Democrat compassion is the kind that weaponizes the justice system against political opponents while claiming to be defenders of democracy.

Democrat compassion is the kind of compassion that colludes with social media companies to censor Americans and limit their constitutional freedoms.

Democrat compassion is the kind that tells minorities they cannot succeed without government handouts and without having the standards lowered for them.

It is the kind of compassion that tells black people they're too dumb to obtain IDs to vote but if they manage to do that they're not black if they don't vote Democrat.

I think America has had it with Democrat compassion. It has destroyed one's beautiful cities, left poverty and economic devastation in its wake everywhere it's been applied, and created a generation of voters so bereft of critical thinking skills that they so easily fall prey to a profound level of cunning and cynicism that enables them to vote 'blue no matter who' against their own interests.

As an immigrant and a new American voter I promise you this: I would much rather endure the uncertainty and the often difficult realities of life under the pragmatic principles of conservatism than bend one inch to the depravity of morally bankrupt policies cloaked in the robes of compassion but designed to keep Americans mentally subjugated, economically shackled, and emotionally weak.

This November, we have to defeat Democrat compassion at the polls because our beloved country cannot endure four more years of this nightmare."

"Those that can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities" —Voltair

And oh boy, the left is commiting them en mass.

Voltaire's prayer. Please God give me idiots for enemies

Anthony S Burkett's avatar

LOL!!! It appears, at least to this point, that you and Voltaire are in good standing with the Lord... Prayer answered! :)

Mary Orlowski McFerson's avatar

I'm just finding all of the Dems stunts so hilarious! Who can take them serious?

Anthony S Burkett's avatar

Indeed they are hilarious to watch, but that may be just a facade, being and acting so ridiculous and hoping no one takes them seriously... I take them seriously... because idiots can do one hell of a lot of damage... like a bull in a china shop... acting on nothing but instinctual rage!... Let us all with good sense be wary of who we dismiss as harmless... ;)

...and, be prepared to defend yourself, 24/7.

And the ones you love... Absolutely!

Semper Fidelis! Esprit de Corps!~

Hat tip for that excellent comment!

Gitch's avatar

Hear hear! Excellent post

Pacificus's avatar

Wow, thanks for that... it's a keeper...

Cat C.'s avatar

Excellent. You know because you've "been there, done that" (meaning, living in an dystopian, authoritarian government).

J.M. Calabrese's avatar

Literally one of the most accurate overviews of Democrat hypocrisies. Thank you.

What is the name of the woman who spoke these words?

TriTorch's avatar

It was a man. His full takedown is linked at the bottom in a bitchute video. Well worth the watch.

Trish's avatar

Brilliantly stated. Thank you!

Kidbuck's avatar

Good grief! Start your own Substack already. Write a book and post it in Sasha's comment section.

Tony Glynn's avatar

I believe you covered it all pretty well. ☝️👍🙏

Thank you for coming over from the dark side and sharing your wit and wisdom. I love everything you write. It makes me so happy to be part of your America.

Doris M Silvernell's avatar

This is such a detailed description of how the Demorats have evolved! Thank you for this wonderful work! Vote Red in November!

Dave M's avatar

Well Sasha, I have been reading you for a while now. Most times I come away saying “this is the best one yet”. But THIS ONE made me laugh and made me cheer. Word for word. Everything. I had to read it again. Forget about the people and things you believe you lost. You are true to yourself and the greatest thing of all, is that you are one of the few who saw all the lies and bs and hate and got out. You are in a better place. For yourself. And without them. They will always be immersed in their ignorance and hate. What a waste. To be consumed by all this bs and hate that was created by others. Smart people believe what they believe from knowledge. That takes effort. The people you lost believe what others tell them to believe. You are much better off without them.

Donna's avatar

I wanted to say all that but you did it so much better. Sasha is a delight so glad to share the same America

Cat C.'s avatar

Thanks Dave, I needed to hear this too and not just regarding politics!

“Trump is very much a symbol of America at 250. It’s a hot mess but a glorious one. A scrappy survivor, full of contradictions. Bombastic and miraculous. Offensive to many, loved by more.”

Pure gold! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

NNTX's avatar

Emblazoned in my mind’s eye is the image of Trump rising from the Secret Service scrum in Butler, and raising his fist to the anthem: “Fight, Fight, Fight”. This martial spirit is an essential part of our country, what allowed us to separate from the Mother Colony and forge our own destiny, not as dependents but as independent, hardscrabble, ingenious individuals that conquered the wilderness and ultimately provided relief and rescue for Europe when they were confronted with the ultimate evil of Nazism.

We are tough, we are strong and we are not putting up with baloney sausage.

Of course that irritates or infuriates the weak kneed globalists, addicted to their sinecures with attendant power and money. And their supposed certainty of the moral “right”. But if they were so sure, why are they so mad?

I’m not a fan of professional wrestling or fighting, but I understand its attraction and celebrate the impulse to stake a claim of, yes, winning!

MAGA. Happy 250th! Happy 80th birthday President Trump. We are blessed to have you.

(And I am writing this on the day I learned that our beloved vacation house has a huge tree that has obliterated the roof and will likely mean major rebuild if not total ruination. Regardless, I’d far rather have a strong country than a sound roof)

Suzie's avatar

AMEN! And well said!

Watched a video on X of the National Anthem being sung at the opening of the World Cup yesterday - don’t know who the artists were, but it was perfection!

And there was a commenter from Germany no less, who said he never liked our anthem becuase to him it sounded all “aggressive and war-like”. I responded that we are a country which was born fighting for our freedoms and will continue to do so wherever and whenever we have to - it’s part of our very DNA.

I also added, right now Europeans could take a page from our notebook if they were smart, the way things are going over there for them.

DarkSkyBest's avatar

An ‘effing great post!

I sort of highly dislike the UFC. But I am so tired of pretentious snots judging everything that is America, I am willing to not care.

This year of our birthday we ARE a hot mess, because there are a whole bunch of people who want to just hate on everything red, white, and blue. And, they will never be happy, even after they take down The Great Satan.

Lots different from 50 years ago, when most of the country was willing to happily participate. But, too bad for them. July 4th is gonna be Huge!

Gitch's avatar

Remember painting all the fire hydrants red white and blue?

DarkSkyBest's avatar

I remember Converse high tops and Falstaff beer cans. Where is the cool corporate participation in 250? Where is a postage stamp series?! Our Overlords aren’t even pretending.

Cat C.'s avatar

And where are the special publications celebrating the 250? I still have one from 50 years ago that has a picture of Jefferson's first draft where he advocates for the ending the slavery in our new country and it shows where it was crossed out, because 2 or 3 (can't remember which) colonies refused sign it, unless those sentences were removed. To digress, I'm pissed that a large online publication (can't remember which one) brought this up, but wrote "the colonists insisted that the passage be removed from the Declaration" (paraphrased)....but the truth is it was only 2 (or 3 - have to look it up) of the colonies that insisted. Note that it was already voted on that any rebellion be done with ALL colonies on board, for logical reasons.

Tony Glynn's avatar

PF Flyers, makes you run faster and jump higher 😂

Cat C.'s avatar

I agree, where are they? A few food companies have special packaging. Target just came out with some patriotic clothing - nothing notes "250", but one does say "1776" in small numbers at the bottom (it's a sweatshirt). I'm not seeing much else. This is terrible.

DarkSkyBest's avatar

These marketers should have been on board January 1. But of course, more afraid of the activists than wanting the lowly public paying $$$ to enjoy a birthday of America. Remember.

Cat C.'s avatar

Yes, remember and repeat - society and culture change partly due to repetition.

Cat C.'s avatar

There is a stamp collection of various different pictures of the flag, but I don't know if it was purposely tied to the 250th.

DarkSkyBest's avatar

Thanks, will check it out.

SGC's avatar

Ignore those idiots who want to hate the red white and blue.

They are not worthy of your thought.

DarkSkyBest's avatar

Thanks, but no one is raining on this rural Illinois America 250 parade.🌞

Matt L.'s avatar

This UFC is the anti-Pride event, antithesis to Biden’s many LGBQT gatherings on the South Lawn of the White House. I could do without either extreme. That said, we do need a healthy shot of testosterone to be celebrated again in our country.

Cat C.'s avatar

LGBQT stuff was a gazillion times worse.

Cat C.'s avatar

The country was celebrating, lots of people had parties and this was even before the Vietnam war ended, although it was drawing down at that point. I remember it - there was an over all air of excitement and even joy, by some. There wasn't this crazy "I'm not wearing any red, white or blue!" - which I overheard an older woman say to her husband at the mall recently and he rolled his eyes - away from her gaze, off course.

Greg Cottle's avatar

Mostly on point, five stars, but the Platner vs Hegseth idea is hilarious. 😛

steven t koenig's avatar

I bet Pete would do it. I bet platner wouldn't.

Pacificus's avatar

Pete would kick Platner's flabby ass... not even close. Graham would quickly realize he's not fighting a woman, like he has become used to.

Pacificus's avatar

Now that's a bout I would pay top see!

Kidbuck's avatar

"Bombastic" and miraculous?

Poor choice of a word at the time.

You can't make this shit up. Or I guess you can.

gsharper's avatar

A great tribute Sasha. Trump has many flaws but I never doubt that he loves his country and wants it to succeed. That's a lot more than I can say for those who wish to destroy him.

John Boy West's avatar

I try to understand the buy in on fourth turning, but I’m not big on theories of our country. It seems most governments eventually give up on their people and dictate, whether it’s a king, socialist or communist. But, we are hero worshippers, and we like our heroes relatable — flawed — because we all are. So, for those of us who can rise above the elitist banter, we admire our leader, Trump, and our sage, Sasha. Happy 250th to all (even the clueless).

Rich Jacobson's avatar

Life is full of irony and one of the greatest of these is the oxymoron posed by today's Left. The "woke" protest against kings while they launch continuous lawfare against a president who, if he was king, would never allow such obstructionism. They wail about "Democracy" as they refuse to accept the results of the 2024 election, worked to keep Trump off ballots, and cheer corrupt election tactics such mailing ballots to everyone on the voter rolls, refusing to allow anyone to see who is on those voter rolls and opposing any form of voter ID. They scream "my body, my choice" and then force people opposed to injecting themselves with an experimental vaccine to either get the injection or lose your job and go without hospital care. The modern day left truly define mass formation psychosis.

Kidbuck's avatar

No. "Even if you're not exactly into the UFC, you know it doesn’t compare to"... Biden's hosting of a Queer Fest on The White House lawn during "Pride Month".

Remember that Shit Show?

Topless, mutilated transgenders posing out front.

God only knows what all went on there then. 2023.

It was just a moment ago.

That's the contrast.

steven t koenig's avatar

What's Jane Fonda's event? Is she gonna Jell-O wrestle transgender midgets with disco playing in the background?

SGC's avatar

No. Jane Fonda is planning on going over to Hanoi and party with the North Vietnamese. She loves them.

Pam Humphrey's avatar

did you know she was a supporter of jim jones??

Tony Glynn's avatar

Along with the Brown, Feinstein, Newscum, Pelosi, Walters Families too.

They were all involved with The People's church and Jim Jones back in the day.

Tons of pictures of them all together.

I remember seeing them on the few TELL-A-VISON stations we had back in the early 70s. I was in my teens, but I still remember seeing all of them on the front of the death church.

Then the Kool aid massacre happened, and They all went silent.

St Paul reminds us that Bad company corrupts good morals.

Choose your friends wisely.

Roger Beal's avatar

... but Jane didn't drink the Koolaid. What a crime ...

Tony Glynn's avatar

I'm not Fonda Jane 😏

Lisa Ricketts's avatar

Nearly spit out my coffee! Lol, visions of a crepe skinned Jane Fonda in leg warmers and a singlet, chasing Oom-pah Loompas around a wrestling mat. Brilliant!

Kurt's avatar

Sasha, I’m with you. I didn’t understand Trump at first, but have come to see him as the best president of my lifetime. Most of the others are dukeing it out for the bottom. The institutionalized corruption he is battling is enough to take down the country. Grift, graft and fraud is the blue state business model.

Casey Jones's avatar

"Understanding" Mr Trump optional. "Not Mrs Clinton" and "Not Ms Harris" MORE than sufficient. That he's actually doing Good Stuff... priceless.

Lisa Ricketts's avatar

BINGO! I've come to the conclusion that our National Debt is primarily the result of decades of Democrat proposed spending sprees (as seen in the Reagan years, under House Speaker Tip O'Neil, and in more recent years, under Speaker Nancy Pelosi).

These expensive programs are not Constitutionally the job of the Federal Government, but by hook or by crook devised to separate tax payers from their hard earned money and usually benefitting those who vote for Democrat Politian's.

The Obama 12 years, definitely set the Democrat Grift Machine into hyperdrive! Thankfully, the LEFT showed their cards with the PLANDEMIC! Isn't it just typical of them to thrust the young Blacks into the streets of the cities and towns of America, as a Bluff to force Americans to fold!

Rather than fold, we opened our eyes wide, and began studying our opponents' deminer looking for signs of a tell. Thankfully, the Dem's stuffed so many cards up their sleeve that they all came cart wheeling out with the slightest of shakes!

Anita Kalens's avatar

Gosh Sasha, you are such a brilliant writer. So thankful you turned away from the dark side!

William C Carlson's avatar

Brilliant.

You had me at “Festival of Karens”. Ha ha!

Tilly1951's avatar

Great piece! I was reluctant to vote for Trump in 2016. And the week after the quote about Grabbing p%%%y, I was despondent. Then I watched him fight through it with honesty, “yes I said it and I was wrong and I am sorry.” And he showed up to debate Hillary, and I realized he was going to keep fighting. For all his flaws, what comes through is his love for America and Americans, and he will fight for it and us. Despite his great wealth, he is not in the elite camp, but with normal Americans. A rare quality.

Lisa Ricketts's avatar

Trump is a man! Most men use the masculine definition of female body parts when speaking to other men. It is an unwritten code passcode for the male's only treehouse. Since Feminism invaded our culture and changed the rules, that used to dictate behaving civility and respectfully around women, many men now freely use curse words, degrading synonyms, et cetera, in everyday speech, music lyrics and at the dinner table!

The younger generations, both males and females think nothing at all about using gutter language in their everyday mixed conversations and often in the presence of children. I blame the Feminist movement thrust upon our nation and the world for the lack of respect for women and for women prostituting themselves on Social Media, TV, Cinema and the schools!

Cat C.'s avatar

And after that leak, Trump called a press conference and EVERYONE came, because they thought he was going to grovel, deflect, etc., (he had already apologized). BUT INSTEAD, he had every single credible victim of Bill Clinton's sexual abuse (and in some instances, sexual assault) on the stage to give their story of what Bill Clinton did!! Now that's a fighter! AND I was so glad their stories were getting out. Bill Clinton was a scum-bag, women abuser (as was JFK). The truth is that Trump was and is the first president who's been fully known by the public/the people - laid bare for all to see - and even though other presidents were just as flawed (and some, MUCH MORE), some people (mostly on the left) freaked out, thinking that hating the man (Trump) would take away or be punishment for the sins (of all).

SGC's avatar

Trump continues to live rent free in the brains of all of those liberal lunatics.

Hektor Bleriot's avatar

MY kinda rent control! 😆😆😆

Ruth H's avatar

The MSG crowd went crazy when they saw President Trump with chants of USA and much louder than the boos. Those reporting on boos are exaggerating, as usual. President Trump has been a Knicks fan longer than most and deserved to be there if he wanted to attend. The naysayers whined as usual. Trump enjoys life while Dems prefer to pout and complain.
