I agree with you, but want to add a qualifying caution; we need and must learn to use God-given spiritual senses, to understand and navigate our way through this spiritual battlefield.
While it is true that, “…there is nothing new under the sun” (Ecclesiastes 1:9), we have entered a unique time in history. It is unique in the sense that the ‘art’ of deception, which is as old as the Garden of Eden, has reached levels of sophistication, power, and pervasiveness - concurrently with the general loss of critical thinking skills, an endless and omnipresent supply of ‘a-muse-ment’ (a = ‘not’ or ‘no’, and muse = ‘to think’), and the undermining of Western Civilization from its Judeo-Christian foundations.
I would add the widespread rise in demonic manifestations and Satanic (‘Luciferian’) worship and practice - but the Bible records that it was at least this bad, if not worse, just prior to the Flood. And it was prophesied to be like that again, at the end of this epoch of human history.
The bottom line is that we have entered an age where we can NOT wholly trust our own eyes and ears; a time when we not only need supernatural senses, but the understanding, faith, and maturity to follow them - even if they seem counter to our natural senses.

In Matthew 24:3, Jesus’ disciples asked Him, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” The entire Chapter deals with His response to those two questions, with the very first statement being, “Take heed that no one deceives you.”
He goes on to describe the deep water flow of unfolding prophecies dealing with near and far events. In the course of that response, He describes a coming deception that would overwhelm all but those who are receptive and obedient to the witness and leading of the Spirit of God within them.
That unprecedented deception has never occurred, and we are not at that point - yet. But, it is clear that we must be very close to it, and the time available for a person to ‘get right and be right’ with God, and grow in Spirit and Truth before ‘that Day’ dawns, is rapidly drawing to a close.
Again, there is so much that could be said, but the Bible, rightly interpreted and applied, reveals all that is essential. It is a big ‘Book’ and many people make a crucial error in neglecting or minimizing the importance of the Old Testament. Many others are misled in any number of ways, so again, the witness and leading of the Holy Spirit is of paramount importance.
But, the following verses are highly relevant, in light of the times we are living in:

You are correct. Sadly, have family members who have distanced themselves from me due to their cellular hatred of Trump. No, they don't get any money for it, so it can't be that. You can't raise an issue, talk pros and cons about a particular subject, without them crashing down on you because you are "MAGA". It's a serious and sad issue. I'm personally sad because I have sisters who don't communicate with me due to their "perceptions". Some of Trumps stuff I agree with, some I don't. But no matter. This is the only way to vote in the Democrat primary. Sometimes, it makes a difference. For instance, roughly six years ago a woman named Caban was running for Queens DA and barely lost the primary to Melinda Katz. This was just after AOC had beaten Crowley to win the House seat she presently occupies, and it was the precursor to Mamdani's win last year. In fact, AOC's district borders mine. Caban, a Democratic Socialist only lost to Katz by sixty votes. Every vote really was critical in that primary and I was glad to have been able to cast it.
My dad was a registered Democrat his entire life. When I asked him why, he said so he could vote in Democratic primaries. When it came time for a “real” vote, he voted conservative, every single time. His theory was you vote in the primaries to weaken who they run. Many democrats are doing exactly this so they can vote in Republican primaries. My dad was ahead of his time!
Your father was certainly right in spirit, but in Queens the winner comes down to the winner of the Democrat primary. The Democrats are ceding policies to Trump that would be very popular among the liberal populist crowd (what used to be main stream Democrats). His promise to build a financial base for newborns and toddlers to give them a bright financial future is master-class. That is something that Congress, especially Democrats, have dinked around with for decades. Bush Jr proposed replacing social security with private funds invested in public markets and got destroyed for it. Trump one-upped that proposal by GIVING money to babies, paid for by wealthy donors such as Michael Dell. That is a great blueprint going forward. The wealthy elites can transfer their wealth to children of all economic and racial strata. It is the epitome of socialist ideals, but without confiscation, only voluntary contribution. Trump's focus on tariffs to protect American workers is another traditional Democrat pro-union position. The more liberal policy positions he takes away from the Democrat Socialists, the crazier they have to get to differentiate and have a raison d'etre.

I went to a "No Kings" protest. Children played at a playground & were entertained by people in inflatable costumes. I have not heard of children being injured at protests except when they are sprayed with tear gas by ICE. Some families are just going past the protest, not part of it, and get gassed by ICE. Families with children are detained in ICE facilities, sometimes for weeks. The vile Stephen Miller came up with the "zero tolerance policy" to separate 5000 children from their families in 2018 in order to discourage families from immigrating by traumatizing children. I don't think you can PRETEND that the right cares about children!
I do not believe in celebrating peoples' deaths. I thought Kirk's death was tragic although I did not agree with things that he said. I have never used twitter, x, bluesky, etc, but I'm sure there is plenty of right wing hate on x. I do not see the difference between repubs celebrating John Lewis's death and that one Dem celebrating Kirk's death.

My memory makes me think that almost no politicians used the term alien in the past but used illegal immigrant. And eventually the democrats changed the language to undocumented immigrant. They couldn't use illegal when describing a concept (in this case people actually) because if they did, it would sound like an oxymoron.... i.e. how can a politician support something illegal???... doesn't make sense when spoken. So they mainstreamed "undocumented " to sound more legit. They have been changing words ever since to make it sound like they support something different than what it actually is.
This is why language is so important. The second they change the definition of something or the words to describe it, we know they are trying to manipulate the gullible masses. I’m 58 and I remember vividly the term ‘illegal alien’ being the common term for decades. I think it changed in the late 90s, early 2000s but that’s just a guess.
It's still a legal term used by our Department of Justice who oversees Immigration Law Enforcement.
When we brought our two adopted kids home from overseas, they were Legal Resident Aliens until we completed their naturalization here in the US Courts.
Had we snuck them in or not had a visa allowing their entry as Legal Resident Aliens, they would have been designated Illegal Aliens.

I agree with you, but want to add a qualifying caution; we need and must learn to use God-given spiritual senses, to understand and navigate our way through this spiritual battlefield.
While it is true that, “…there is nothing new under the sun” (Ecclesiastes 1:9), we have entered a unique time in history. It is unique in the sense that the ‘art’ of deception, which is as old as the Garden of Eden, has reached levels of sophistication, power, and pervasiveness - concurrently with the general loss of critical thinking skills, an endless and omnipresent supply of ‘a-muse-ment’ (a = ‘not’ or ‘no’, and muse = ‘to think’), and the undermining of Western Civilization from its Judeo-Christian foundations.
I would add the widespread rise in demonic manifestations and Satanic (‘Luciferian’) worship and practice - but the Bible records that it was at least this bad, if not worse, just prior to the Flood. And it was prophesied to be like that again, at the end of this epoch of human history.
The bottom line is that we have entered an age where we can NOT wholly trust our own eyes and ears; a time when we not only need supernatural senses, but the understanding, faith, and maturity to follow them - even if they seem counter to our natural senses.

In Matthew 24:3, Jesus’ disciples asked Him, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” The entire Chapter deals with His response to those two questions, with the very first statement being, “Take heed that no one deceives you.”
He goes on to describe the deep water flow of unfolding prophecies dealing with near and far events. In the course of that response, He describes a coming deception that would overwhelm all but those who are receptive and obedient to the witness and leading of the Spirit of God within them.
That unprecedented deception has never occurred, and we are not at that point - yet. But, it is clear that we must be very close to it, and the time available for a person to ‘get right and be right’ with God, and grow in Spirit and Truth before ‘that Day’ dawns, is rapidly drawing to a close.
Again, there is so much that could be said, but the Bible, rightly interpreted and applied, reveals all that is essential. It is a big ‘Book’ and many people make a crucial error in neglecting or minimizing the importance of the Old Testament. Many others are misled in any number of ways, so again, the witness and leading of the Holy Spirit is of paramount importance.
But, the following verses are highly relevant, in light of the times we are living in:

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

You are correct. Sadly, have family members who have distanced themselves from me due to their cellular hatred of Trump. No, they don't get any money for it, so it can't be that. You can't raise an issue, talk pros and cons about a particular subject, without them crashing down on you because you are "MAGA". It's a serious and sad issue. I'm personally sad because I have sisters who don't communicate with me due to their "perceptions". Some of Trumps stuff I agree with, some I don't. But no matter. To them, I am "MAGA", and therefore, must be cast out. It's a tragedy.

On every point and policy or goal Trump laid out, I thought, "Hell, yeah!" There were two moments where the Donks made clear where they stand. One was the moment Sasha describes, where the Jackassery proved that they still do not understand our federal government's most fundamental duty - to above all, defend our citizens. The other was when he announced a 50% reduction of fentanyl trafficked into our country. They couldn't clap for that.

But during the election campaign I saw him interacting with normal people and it was sorta normal. He’s like a weird but kinda cool uncle that only shows up for family gatherings and actually has affection for everybody.

This is the only way to vote in the Democrat primary. Sometimes, it makes a difference. For instance, roughly six years ago a woman named Caban was running for Queens DA and barely lost the primary to Melinda Katz. This was just after AOC had beaten Crowley to win the House seat she presently occupies, and it was the precursor to Mamdani's win last year. In fact, AOC's district borders mine. Caban, a Democratic Socialist only lost to Katz by sixty votes. Every vote really was critical in that primary and I was glad to have been able to cast it.
My dad was a registered Democrat his entire life. When I asked him why, he said so he could vote in Democratic primaries. When it came time for a “real” vote, he voted conservative, every single time. His theory was you vote in the primaries to weaken who they run. Many democrats are doing exactly this so they can vote in Republican primaries. My dad was ahead of his time!

The Democrats are ceding policies to Trump that would be very popular among the liberal populist crowd (what used to be main stream Democrats). His promise to build a financial base for newborns and toddlers to give them a bright financial future is master-class. That is something that Congress, especially Democrats, have dinked around with for decades. Bush Jr proposed replacing social security with private funds invested in public markets and got destroyed for it. Trump one-upped that proposal by GIVING money to babies, paid for by wealthy donors such as Michael Dell. That is a great blueprint going forward. The wealthy elites can transfer their wealth to children of all economic and racial strata. It is the epitome of socialist ideals, but without confiscation, only voluntary contribution. Trump's focus on tariffs to protect American workers is another traditional Democrat pro-union position. The more liberal policy positions he takes away from the Democrat Socialists, the crazier they have to get to differentiate and have a raison d'etre.

I went to a "No Kings" protest. Children played at a playground & were entertained by people in inflatable costumes. I have not heard of children being injured at protests except when they are sprayed with tear gas by ICE. Some families are just going past the protest, not part of it, and get gassed by ICE. Families with children are detained in ICE facilities, sometimes for weeks. The vile Stephen Miller came up with the "zero tolerance policy" to separate 5000 children from their families in 2018 in order to discourage families from immigrating by traumatizing children. I don't think you can PRETEND that the right cares about children!

My memory makes me think that almost no politicians used the term alien in the past but used illegal immigrant. And eventually the democrats changed the language to undocumented immigrant. They couldn't use illegal when describing a concept (in this case people actually) because if they did, it would sound like an oxymoron.... i.e. how can a politician support something illegal???... doesn't make sense when spoken. So they mainstreamed "undocumented " to sound more legit. They have been changing words ever since to make it sound like they support something different than what it actually is.
This is why language is so important. The second they change the definition of something or the words to describe it, we know they are trying to manipulate the gullible masses. So no, it’s not “minor attracted person”, it’s pedophile. It’s not “undocumented migrant”, it’s illegal alien. Etc, etc, etc, ad nauseum. Language matters.
I’m 58 and I remember vividly the term ‘illegal alien’ being the common term for decades. I think it changed in the late 90s, early 2000s but that’s just a guess.
It's still a legal term used by our Department of Justice who oversees Immigration Law Enforcement.
When we brought our two adopted kids home from overseas, they were Legal Resident Aliens until we completed their naturalization here in the US Courts.
Had we snuck them in or not had a visa allowing their entry as Legal Resident Aliens, they would have been designated Illegal Aliens.
Probably changed when we started permitting real alien lizard people in. Eg Ihlan, AOC, Mitch McConnell.
