Hello Anthony S Burkett. To preface this reply, please know that my wife Karen and I support President Donald J. Trump and in fact every time we see Trump and Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the same platform, we are reminded of Ezekiel 37. Furthermore, as Born-Again Christians we believe YHVH/God is using DJT & Netanyahu for a time such as this.
The problem is that DJT is "Scripturally-Stupid". DJT couldn't tell me the difference between the Books of Ephesians and Ecclesiastes. Therefore, in MHO if the 2nd Presidency of Donald J. Trump seeks Divine Guidance in decision making - DJT must fire Paula White as his "spiritual advisor". To reiterate, for the Trump White House to allow that distasteful - low class - spiritual rendering of DJT as some kind of a heavenly healer - demands Paula White be fired from the White House staff immediately.
That rendering is a disgusting display of Biblical ignorance on behalf of the Trump White House. Shame is an appropriate word for a time such as this.
And hello to you as well, Carl... while I appreciate your viewpoint, there is little you've said that I find agreement with; not in my full support of all of POTUS' policies, not wrt your false and narrow-minded accusation of his Biblical ignorance, or in the shame of that meme.... and certainly not in any way agreeing with DJT's apparent support of Zionist Israel and their poster boy Netanyahu... I view our support of Israel in the conflict with Iran as a means to an end... that end being the removal of the theocratic regime of Iran and its IRGC as the Middle East's neighborhood bully, a murderous tyrant hell-bent on the violent subjection of the Iranian people, and a threat to the world at large... outside of that I do not lend support to the State of Israel's unmanaged aggression in the region... read up on the U.S.S. Liberty if you think Israel is without shame or guilt.
I think we can all agree (and DJT seems to agree) that it was a monumentally stupid and insensitive post. The man seems hellbent (so to speak) on proving even to us supporters that he can be a crude dufus.
I’ll still take him over anyone that the opposition seems to be able to scare up as a candidate for the office.
@nickadamsinusa originally posted this on Feb 4. I have it in my Telegram but can’t find it on X. He may have deleted it. I believe he’s a pastor. “ America’s been sick a long time. President Trump is healing the nation”. Was the caption.
I think it's wise. I think I understood what he meant and was amused rather than offended (even though I'm pretty touchy by nature). But, a lot of people didn't get it and were genuinely offended. I truly believe he deleted it NOT from fear of losing votes but because under that blustery exterior - he is a kind man and doesn't want to pointlessly cause hurt (deliberately, sure, you bet - that's why he's been so effective with his cringy tweets and elsewhere).
Truth be told, a LOT of people don’t get Trump’s humor. I personally think 99.9% of it is hilarious. I’ll never forget him working at McDonalds or arriving at a rally in a dump truck! But then again, I have a very sarcastic streak, so there’s that….
I’m amazed at the speed of response to the people. Can’t remember the last president in my lifetime that was as connected as this one is - and actually listens.
Donald Trump’s purpose is to end a 50-year long war which the IRGC has been waging on western civilization. Ending ‘holy wars’ is no small task because ideology and theology are strange and virulent bedfellows. Moreover, liberation theology is not holier-than-thou and its proponents are nevertheless obnoxiously pious; sanctimonious; self-righteous. Sunlight disinfects!
So does that mean the libs are going to stop with the No Kings rallies and have a No Saints rally instead?! I’m truly sorry some Christians were offended (and I don’t think he meant it the way some took it) but I still get extreme amusement knowing the libs are frothing at the mouth over this!
It seemed highly unlikely to me that Trump would be sufficiently aware of the niceties of iconography to see the problem with the image without it being pointed out to him by someone in the know. Those of us who instantly recognize the red robe as being part of the iconographic depiction of Christ 'got' the problem at a glance. I assume that someone explained it to him, and hence it got taken down.
Never, ever underestimate the ability of *any* man to be oblivious to things he has not studied in detail or that don't have a big impact on his day-to-day life.
Why delete something that so many here thought was so funny and done with such honorable intent? Is it possible that the author knew it wasn’t and so deleted it? That might be embarrassing for those that thought it wasn’t offensive or intended to offend Christians.
No. He cares if his supporters are offended. It is more likely he did NOT intend that effect and when he learned of it he immediately acted, it’s a way to let them know “I’m listening to you and I care”.
Hi Richard. Indeed I am Catholic, I have a firm understanding of the just war doctrine and I am confident that the war with Iran does not meet the criteria for a just war. Catholics are compelled to oppose unjust wars; and so I do oppose this one (and others). Will be interesting to see how the Catholics who make up about 25% of the US military react. I believe Quakers and Amish handle it by asking for deferments or taking medic related roles; not sure.
I thought it was funny but also more evidence that he’s ever more deranged. He should have known that some would regard it as blasphemy and many more would consider it just more evidence that he’s crazy. I think that’s why he deleted it, after the damage was done. So much of what Trump does is simply crazy and this has dragged down everyone associated with him. JD’s poll numbers have supposed taken a big hit which is a shame since he is intelligent and would be a good president. I think the war on Iran has destroyed his presidency and paved the way to the White House for the open borders, down with meritocracy, up with equity democrats.
You understand it as do I but the Pope seems unaware. I have seen Catholics argue both sides about this war but the Pope didn't do that. As a non-Catholic, I have no duty of obedience but I can be swayed by arguments. The Pope didn't even try.
This story was so stupid on so many levels that it makes me want to apologize for being a member of the human race. It would be great if deleting the post would make it go away but I fear we are just entering a new stage of idiocy.
A politically wise move... especially in an election year, and given that the ignorance of the masses should never be underestimated.
I, for one, viewed the meme as a pictorial representation of POTUS being a healer of America.
I thought the same thing.

One thing you can be certain: the lapdog media will make the most of it, even though the post is gone.
I thought the same. As well as all Christ followers are called to place hands on one another and heal not just Jesus.
I was looking forward to the coffee mug☹️
I would have bought the set!~
Too soon for a T-shirt?
🤣
Maybe a hat...😁
😂🤣🤣

I enjoy it too!
Just as an aside... to those who were offended by the meme... with that level of religious fervor, you'd make good Muslims.
😂😂😂😂
A grown man knows when he has made a mistake. Good on Trump.
He's the master of the self inflicted gun shot wound. 🤦🏼♂️
Cruel Leftists: Trump NEVER listens to the peopl... never mind..
I’m amazed at the speed of response to the people. Can’t remember the last president in my lifetime that was as connected as this one is - and actually listens.
I'm glad it's gone, and although I'm a Trump supporter, I wish some one could rein him in.
He is still listening.

Good, that was anti-Christ level imagery.
No, that would be a crucifix in a jar of urine.
Or the last supper depiction from the Olympics …
Both examples are, Robert. Ask your priest or minister if you need a more authoritative perspective.

I guess he probably didn't think too much about it at first...

I agree with you, things are sometimes quite simple

Also, hilarious turnabout.
“You should all be offended by his post!”
We aren’t
“You should all be offended that he deleted it!”
We aren’t 🙄
Since you are Catholic, I assume you are aware of Catholic just war theory. Apparently the Pope isn't.

The hypocrisy is INSANE. Anyone remember papier-mâché Obama Jesus? No? What about chocolate Obama Jesus? Anyone who thinks that the pope and the Vatican are not political is so ignorant I don’t even have words. Tierney lays it out for you: https://tierneyrealnewsnetwork.substack.com/p/obama-and-the-pope?r=1o2l6&utm_medium=ios
