“Pro-democracy media” means communist propaganda. Poetic that Obama mocking Trump at the WHCD a decade ago led to the latter dismantling the former’s legacy. Presstitute tears are tasty.

Fundamentally, it's their moral vanity that makes them so contemptible.

Agreed. The video of that purported “takedown” of Trump by BHO is amazing to watch. Obama’s arrogance ended up as a boomerang on Barry. Kind of like the poor bullfighter in Spain who was “horned” by a mad bull.

Trump winning in 2016 was the absolute Chef’s Kiss to Obama and the media snot pricks who mocked Trump at that WHCD.

Whatever can Trump do to make the media happy?

His trolling the media delights me.

Christine C's avatar

Because they want to complain about Trump. That's their priority, much less the issue they claim to be concerned about.

The left is reduced to clumsy lashing out because they’re cornered and out of good ideas. Trump has drawn bright lines, with traditional American common sense on his side. On the other side are the left’s tired and failing “progressive reforms”: trans ideology, DEI, infinite welfare, protecting the rights of criminals, illegals, and insane homeless addicts, all while being eager to punish the police (or you) for violations of their standards by stopping crime or cleaning up the streets.

Partly it’s that Democrats have driven themselves into a ditch, but it’s also Trump’s political Sun Tzu. He draws majorities to traditional, patriotic, common sense, populist, MAGA views while Democrats are chained to radical and unpopular views. It’s a huge dilemma for them. If Democrats denounce and expel their open-borders Marxists and their race and gender radicals, and manage to convince moderates they’re sincere, would it gain them more than they’d lose? But if they don’t, and instead stick with some current or new flavor of Obama-Biden-Sanders-Mamdani-AOC-DNC progressive globalism, they’ll continue to lose many state and all national elections.

Roger Beal's avatar

What do they want? To be unchallenged kings and queens of a milquetoast nation run by mewling alphabet people glued to their mirrors and their soshul media profiles.

Totally agree. It is exhausting. Saw a piece about the honey bees Melania has brought back. People went off on the Rose Garden, assuming they took it out, when instead walking paths and patio were installed where there had been grass. No roses harmed! But all the press communicates is venom. How much better would we be if just a tad more respect and a whole lot less hyberbole was taking place.

Tricia's avatar

I remember reading about how Trump bulldozed the rose garden and knowing it was a blatant lie. Like you said, they put in sidewalks so women's high heels would not sink into the dirt. How can this be a bad thing? Thanks, Mrs. Trump (because I suspect she is the one who thought of it).

Katherine A. Ranft's avatar

The Left has been masterful in creating a great divide in this country by employing the very freedoms that they constantly chant that they are losing. It is exhausting. No wonder we enjoy less and less lively, intelligent and stimulating conversation. I have to seek out what I call “the friendlies.” The Left has successfully created a population of stupid people who act as their mouthpieces to disseminate marxist, communist, anti-Judeo/Christian values and hatred for the God of Jesus (have to specify these days.) Look at the fruit of the poisonous “tree” of the Left. For me, obama lit the embers that had been smoldering for decades. The fire is blazing now.

The traditional media are at record low levels of credibility and declining. The one silver lining from their ridiculous behavior over the past several years is that they are destroying their own businesses in real time, and they are too ignorant to realize it.

And always complaining about the beautiful ballroom, weaponizing the judicial system to try & stop construction. Trump is making the Capital & White House beautiful again, the left & msm cannot stand for it. They only tear down, destroying whatever is beautiful & good. Including destroying beautiful healthy children both mentally & physically. Thank God for Trump.

They are sick & vindictive enough to try it. We must keep them out of power.

As I mentioned, the idea that the legacy press cares about free and independent journalism is preposterous. In the last decade ALONE, the legacy press has presented a united front in propagating at least 8 major lies concocted by Democrats, sometimes in cahoots with the “intelligence” community and the biomedical research establishment.

To wit, the Democratic Party, the national intelligence community, and the legacy media conspired to:

1 push the fabricated Russian election interference narrative;

2 declare the Hunter Biden laptop to be a Russian plant (it was Hunter Biden's actual laptop);

3 cover up the engineered origins of a virus that led to a pandemic;

4 overstate the effectiveness and understate the side effects risks (including death) of therapeutics, that were falsely labeled "vaccines", by any reasonable definition of what a vaccine is;

5 cover up the declining mental and physical state of an elected President, who revealed himseld to be demented on national television;

6 cover up the fact that some unelected person (probably Obama) was running the country in place of said demented President;

7 cover up the fact that various unelected were issuing pardons in the name of said demented President, whose signature was being forged by a machine;

8 cover up the fact that tens of millions of unvetted migrants were being let into the country and allowed to make bogus asylum claims by a party desperate to increase voter rolls through nefarious means, to compensate for their cratering popularity on the national political scene;

9 spread the fairytale that cops were hunting down unarmed black men and that structural racism now is as bad as it was in the 60s.

I know I’m missing stuff, too.

There are reason that half the country ignores the legacy press. They have failed abjectly.

I see you believe conspiracy theories; for example, just this week, a study, conducted by C.D.C. scientists, calculated the effectiveness of Covid shots by looking at the vaccination status of people who had sought care at hospitals and emergency rooms. It found that vaccination cut the likelihood of emergency visits due to Covid by 50 percent and of hospitalizations by 55 percent, but Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, canceled its publication because it contradicts his beliefs (and yours). You claim "some unelected person (probably Obama) was running the country in place of said demented President" ; has anyone on the right noticed Trump's mental decline? He is mainly interested in monuments to himself, dozes through meetings and press conferences, and rambles about nonsense...

NWCitizen's avatar

I like to do research on issues because it clarifies them in my mind and debate online. Who pays you to defend the Trump cult and spend your time insulting anyone who doesn't agree with you?

Jen Todd's avatar

You don't do research. You barely get past the headline of whatever "evidence" you dig up to "prove your point". Your "Heaven's Gate" commitment to the obviously irrational story line trotted out by dems for the last ten years and counting might deserve pity if it weren't so stupid.

Mike Gustine's avatar

I'm sure there were no other problems with that study. Also, we were told repeatedly by multiple officials that if you got the shots you wouldn't get covid and you wouldn't give it to anyone else. They knew it was a lie at the time, but did it anyway. Biden was suffering from dementia before he was even elected, and we were lied to for more than 4 years about it. Personally, I think people over 70 should not be President, but that's for congress to decide. If only congress would ever actually do anything useful or beneficial to the American people.

NWCitizen's avatar

Are you PAID to come on here and carry water for bad actors? It’s 2026. If you still believe that the COVID “vaccines” were actual vaccines, you might as well believe in the Easter Bunny, too. The COVID vaccines were therapeutics that helped prevent severe disease for a few months. They did not, and do not, offer any long-term protection against disease. This is pretty basic stuff.

NWCitizen's avatar

Does someone pay you to post on this site? Is it a requirement that you agree with and gush over Stone to post here? A vaccine is an immunogen, the administration of which is intended to stimulate the immune system to result in the prevention, AMELIORATION or therapy of any disease or infection. The definition does not say that a vaccine always prevents you from getting the illness. In 2020-22, the virus was rapidly mutating so you needed a new vacccine when a new strain replaced the old one

Not all vaccines last a life time. Children get booster shots for several vaccines & you are supposed to get Tdap (tetanus ,dithering & pertussis) and also rabies boosters if you work with animals every 10 years.

NWCitizen's avatar

Are you paid to post comments? Are the only commenters allowed those that agree with and gush over Stone?

A vaccine is an immunogen, the administration of which is intended to stimulate the immune system to result in the prevention, AMELIORATION or therapy of any disease or infection.

Durling Heath's avatar

Yeah - that definition was changed by the CDC, precisely because the COVID drug didn’t fit the previous one. Look - the COVID drugs didn’t AMELIORATE much of ANYTHING for very long, and they had tons of nasty side-effects. You know who the COVID shots REALLY helped? Pfizer? Is Pfizer who you work for? The pandemic had a lot of really bad actors, and just being anti-Trump doesn’t make someone a hero. Being anti-Trump is EASY. Being FOR something is HARD.

NWCitizen's avatar

Side-effects from actually getting Covid were much worse than from getting the vaccine. I was amazed when the vaccine came out and people on the right refused to take it so were dying on ventilators in the hospital. Right wingers believe all kinds of conspiracy theories outlined in this article:

Here is an article from FOX (believe it or not) about how researchers analyzed data from 99M people who received COVID vaccinations across eight countries. They monitored for increases in 13 different medical conditions in the period after people received a COVID vaccine. For example, the massive study and review of the data reveals some rare association of the MRNA vaccines and myocarditis, but these risks are rare and other studies show that the vaccine decreases the risk of myocarditis from COVID itself dramatically."

The articles below discuss the popular right wing belief that athletes were dropping dead during sports from covid vaccines when actually this phenomena has always occurred as a small number of athletes have undetected heart defects which kill them from the increased demand on the heart during competition. People who got covid vaccines were less likely to be hospitalized and less likely to DIE! 4 of my friends died of covid, 2 before vaccines & 2 who declined them. Trump's operation warp speed to develop covid vaccines was ONE thing he did right.

Durling Heath's avatar

Yeah, there were a ton of uncontrolled confounds, like the fact that most people who got vaccinated were unlikely to get severe illness in the FIRST place. The actual beneficial effects of the COVID shots were grossly overstated. Wake up. You need to read Alex Berenson. He was the only journalist who was honest about the pros and cons of the shots. When someone says, “Trust the experts”, you should be very skeptical. The “experts” were very cozy with Pfizer and had a huge financial stake in the shots being mandated. I’m here to help. You just have to ACCEPT the help.

Jen Todd's avatar

What covid did was to sort out the willing idiots from those that refused to believe the ever moving goal posts as presented by the experts, which culminated in a mandated shot that never did what we all were told it would do. Only a paid troll or a stupid person would come here and attempt to defend covid and all of its absurdity.
