I have tried to tell my 2 liberal friends that the point is not the video. He just does or says something because he knows it will cover the news pages and saturate all coverage, especially if it is against the norms. Everyone knows they will spend days talking about the craziest thing he says or does. Or he will take multiple issues that 80% of the public wants, some he probably doesn’t even support and say to put them up for a vote just to get Democrats on the record arguing against it. They are so blinded by their hate, they can't see they fall for it every single time. To be fair, I would probably have a bigger issue with this stuff IF they didn't spend every minute of every day punching down on the working and middle-class. They insult their intelligence, their traditional family values, their love of traditional holidays, their religion or their falling short of what Bible verses they've picked and chosen as most important, their desire to be in charge of their own children, their questioning of experts who have been wrong, what media sources they consume, and on and on and on. It's disgusting to me that they denigrate working people and their lifestyles as if they are cavemen. My favorite? Their absolute obsession with identity politics. They love to talk about how unhealthy, uneducated, and poor red states are in the south while pretending they care about minorities. The southern states have the largest per capita minority populations. They don't even notice it.

Yes, and I'd have a bigger issue with this stuff if the Dems hadn't paid for a bogus dossier, pushed it in the intelligent agencies as truth, lying on FISA warrants so they could spy on and prosecute Trump's supporters and administration workers, pushed the whole thing (that Trump colluded with Russia) nonstop and leaking it to the press so that it would be constant front page news and then doing investigation after investigation when they knew it was nothing but their own made up story, that they made up, as a part of their "resistance", to try and get Trump to resign. AND THEN THEY SHOT HIM.

On September 10, my 81 year old mother asked me, who's Charlie Kirk? They say he just got shot. Ten days later, she is wanting to use the DVR to record his memorial service.

After Elvis died, one guy quipped, "Great career move". His Estate increased tenfold in value. Likewise Charlie's reach, which was mainly college aged kids, expanded to include everyone. And there has been a surge of young people attending church and Bible sales are up 40% supposedly.

The Left should take a lesson from the Charlie Kirk assassination.

If they get their wish and someone assassinates Trump, it would make January 6, 2021 look like a day at Epcot.

They put the Harris signs up. We know where they live. They need to understand that they would not want to live in a post- Trump assassination world and many of them probably wouldn't live very long

If Trump gets shot by someone, that does not reflect on everyone with Harris signs in their yards. Just like if someone shoots Harris, it doesn't reflect on all with Trump signs in their yards. It's horrible to say "many of them probably wouldn't live long". Come on, we're not like that and WE are not going to hurt people just for being part of the nearly 50% of the population who voted Democrat.

If someone shoots Trump, all bets are off.

Liberals are liberals because they think, like a medieval peasant who believed in Spontaneous Generation, that everything happens in a vacuum. Furthermore, their behavior during Covid proves that they actually believe in Spontaneous Generation.

They think that if someone shoots Trump that it will be all rainbows and unicorns throughout the land. They lack the mental capacity to even speculate on the aftermath of what happens when they get their wish.

I see a lot of people on line saying things like "just do it already" and I see no one telling them to calm the rhetoric down. That means that the power brokers on the Left are using it to fundraise and they are hoping it happens.

If they don't start NOW stepping forward and telling these numbnuts to stop with the assassination fantasies, I promise you there will be no mercy.

Rose Still Runs's avatar

I completely get where you're coming from. Liberals during 'Covid' made me lose all faith in society.

But we need to remember (as hard as it is) that the people celebrating Charlie Kirk getting shot are the minority of Democrats. The people who wish for Trump to be shot are the minority as well. The online echo chambers and the media just amplify the worst of the worst. We can't fall into the trap of thinking that people on the left deserve to be killed. Man it makes me sick just typing that...we are all humans and yes many humans have stupid ideas and say and do stupid things but to say 'there will be no mercy' for having a Kamala sign in the yard at some point...I think you know that's very, very wrong. I don't think you mean it.

I believe Kevin makes several excellent points; the first one being what a historically lousy idea it is to martyr one’s enemies. Just ask Henry II about that. I’m seeing it all around the country. Another is the illustration of the rottenness and pettiness of the progressives over the murder of a purely decent Christian and family man because he dared publicly debate the left wing madness. The left is losing ground and with each foot lost they grow more vicious and dangerous.

The final point he makes just illustrates their naïveté. They see violence on the one hand as a cinematic drama and when the curtain drops everyone goes home, and on the other hand, words and even silence is violence.

They appear to be suffering from an adult version of oppositional defiant disorder, possibly left over from the Sixties. From the footage the No Kings crowd appear to be the same people, and their disruptive conduct is credited with ending the Vietnam War. They’ve been riding a sugar high ever since.

HE SAID HE WANTED TO GO TO THE CAPITOL TO MAKE MAGA LOOK BAD. He's in jail now (unless Trump pardoned him too).

Hebrides' Eilidh NicDhòmhnaill's avatar

This faoin claim refers to John Earle Sullivan, a self-described activist who was indeed present at the Capitol on J6. Sullivan was not a Trump supporter and had previously attended left-wing and Black Lives Matter–affiliated protests.

Major Antifa groups have denied any association with him, and there’s no verified evidence that he was an active member of Antifa.

Antifa, by the way, is not a single, unified organization — it’s a loosely connected movement made up of people and groups who oppose fascism, white nationalism, and far-right extremism that's trotted out time and again as if it is an single unified organization. Faoin again!

Sullivan filmed himself inside the Capitol during the riot and said things like “Let’s go! This [ghastly curse word!] is ours!” He was later arrested by the FBI and charged with several offenses related to unlawful entry and disorderly conduct. He sold his footage to media outlets for tens of thousands of dollars. He reportedly told others he wanted to “document” the chaos and later claimed he was there as a journalist — not as part of any political group.

There’s no evidence he coordinated with Antifa or that his actions were part of an Antifa plot to “make MAGA look bad.” That’s a rumor that spread widely on right-wing media but has never been substantiated by court filings or investigative reporting or fact or reality or anything resembling even a thimble of sanity. The overwhelming majority of those arrested and convicted for January 6 were Trump supporters or people motivated by pro-Trump or Stop the Steal rhetoric, not left-wing infiltrators.

Sullivan’s case is an isolated incident, not proof that Antifa orchestrated or participated in the broader attack but of course has been embraced by those who ebtrace conspiracy theory with open arms and hearts.

Cat C.'s avatar

It must be another guy that you are talking about or it is this guy, but I got my "conspiracy theory" because I SAW A VIDEO WHERE HE SAID WHAT I SAID THAT HE SAID (well, paraphrased).......I distinctly remember that he said that he was there to "cause trouble" and he was "Antifa" and he said more than just "Let's go". BTW, how do you know he was the only (isolated) person? Did you talk to all of them individually? How many never got caught? There were more suspicious activities from that day, like the guys up on the scaffolding, but I don't have time to go into it here. BTW, I know that Antifa are many groups, not just one like BLM. I think Congress is going to do more digging, which is good.

I can't wrap my head around the amount of old people at these rallies. I'm old and apparently have wrongly assumed others of my generation had well defined moral character. Biden draped the Whitehouse with pride flags. Promoted to high office a litany of strange, in my opinion, mentally ill people. Of which, none were good at their jobs. I live in a somewhat rural area of NE Ohio. In November we're choosing 2 new trustees. One candidate moved here from NY. Before moving, changed his name from Bradley Stephen Heutmaker to Amy S. Heutmaker. Works as a counselor specializing in LGBTQIA. Now he wants a political position, and I see his signs in people's yards and wonder, who are these people? There is literally nowhere to hide from the ones practicing dark arts. This feels so manufactured.

THE funniest meme/video EVER showed Newsom at his press conference talking, but located in a Trump hat shop. In time, Trump walked over to him, put a Trump hat on him, patted Newsom and kept walking.

Not long after that meme video, Newsom was sitting and talking to a group of people. He was SO upset that he had received 2 dozen Trump hats. The audience laughed. Newsom said, "This is SERIOUS!"

I watched him on some podcast. He detests Trump. He claimed it's because of his calling him Newscum. He claimed his son asked him what it meant.

According to Newsom, he told Charlie Kirk (on a podcast) that his son was a big fan of Kirk. This podcast was before Kirk was killed.

Did you enjoy the "new generation" of Young Republican leaders in New York, Kansas, Arizona and Vermont exchanging racist and anti-semitic Telegram chats? They referred to Black people as monkeys and “the watermelon people” and mused about putting their political opponents in gas chambers. They talked about raping their enemies and driving them to suicide and lauded Republicans who they believed support slavery.

William Hendrix, the Kansas Young Republicans’ vice chair, used the words “n--ga” and “n--guh,” variations of a racial slur, more than a dozen times in the chat. Bobby Walker, the vice chair of the New York State Young Republicans at the time, referred to rape as “epic.” Peter Giunta, on the upcoming vote on whether he should become chair of the Young Republican National Federation (GOP’s 15,000-member political organization for Republicans between 18 and 40 years old) said, "everyone that votes no is going to the gas chamber.”

Repubs excuse it saying "Boys will be boys." I guess these are Trump successors.

So instead of honoring the very Army that allows them to protest in the first place, they give it the middle finger and host their "No kings" street festival. They could have watched the parade which was very nice, but they can't get over their hate.

Who can forget Trump’s use of Hitler rhetoric from a Veteran’s Day speech, 2023 saying, “We pledge to you that we will root out the communists, Marxists, fascists, and the radical left thugs that live like VERMIN within the confines of our country.”?

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt made on Fox News on Oct. 16, "This interview proved that the Democrat Party's main constituency are made up of Hamas terrorists, illegal aliens, and violent criminals."

Did you enjoy the "new generation" of Young Republican leaders in New York, Kansas, Arizona and Vermont exchanging racist and anti-semitic Telegram chats? Did you enjoy Kammie and Barry's Hitler salute? And let's not forget the sweet suggestion from Paula Collins (and backed by Hillary Clinton) about putting conservatives and republicans in (ahem) "re-education camps" after removing their children and putting them in (ahem) "schools" to give them a "better" Civics 'understanding' - all applauded by the likes of Katie Couric, Eugene Robinson, and Michael Beller, among the democrats. And who can forget Jen Psaki's cute little Soviet emblem embellished pink fur hat... nothing like a Hammer and Sickle to scream "Democracy", eh? The only people who have forgotten Jay Jones' desire to put 2 bullets in the head of his opponent in front of his kids, and then kill his children is apparently DEMOCRATS - as JJ is currently running and in the lead for his representative seat. Did YOU enjoy that? Did YOU 'enjoy' the assassination of Charlie Kirk?

As for the 'new generation' of the Young Republicans Club, they have been soundly denounced by a very large percentage of republicans *AND* conservatives. They won't be moving up in the hierarchy anytime soon - unlike Graham Platner, who is expected to win his seat in the Maine election - his swastika tattoo on his chest notwithstanding... haven't heard a peep about *that* but an image of a swastika on a US flag in an office is a National Security threat and emergency....

As for Karoline... is she wrong? I haven't seen a single democrat denounce Hamas. I haven't seen or heard or read about DEMOCRATS denouncing the kidnapping of an 8 month old baby, who was later strangled by the hands of his captors. I haven't seen or heard or read about DEMOCRATS denouncing the kidnap, rape and torture of Israeli woman (quite the opposite actually). I haven't seen a single democrat stand up for the Jewish students spat on, harassed, barred from attending classes, and who had to barricade themselves into bathrooms to avoid injury in the campus riots this spring. Did YOU enjoy that?? The democrats scream due process over violent criminals being deported, when they are here because they fled prosecution in their own countries. If you find deporting them so objectional (and every democrat apparently does - it's part of the Party philosophy), take one of the Venezuelan rapists into your home. Or perhaps you would prefer one of the child sexual predators. Maybe YOU could take one of each!! WOOT!!

"Hitler rhetoric". You wouldn't know 'rhetoric' if it smacked you in the nose. EVERY candidate for EVERY office tells their constituents that they will clean up the streets. The difference is, Trump meant it and is ACTUALLY doing it. And of course the democrats cry and whine and have temper tantrums - because that is what they do.

Expand full comment
NWCitizen's avatar

Hitler compared Jews to "vermin" to make them seem subhuman and gain support for killing them.

I will denounce Hamas for you. I don't think they care about civilians at all; their only motive is to make Israel appear evil on the world stage which they have succeeded in doing. I was surprised at the campus response to Israel after the atrocities on Oct 7 but Israel has a history of bulldozing of Palestinian homes, olive groves, and other acts of oppression for years which are bound to have built up anger and created terrorists in the Palestinian people. I understand Israel blew up whole neighborhoods if they believed a terrorist lived in a home there. This created anti-Israel sentiment in the US and a movement to disinvest in Israel.

I looked up HRC who said " “Maybe there needs to be a formal deprogramming of the cult members.” I certainly don't agree with her statement but that is a well-publicized way of getting people out of "cults" and some people actually believe Trump was "sent by God to save America." HRC is history.

The NYT investigated the 238 people who were imprisoned in El Salvador running the 238 names through three U.S. public records databases, checked backgrounds in Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Chile, scoured court documents and news articles, spoke to dozens of family members and experts on Tren de Aragua. Of the 238, 32 have faced serious criminal accusations or convictions in the US or abroad, including an assault in Chicago, smuggling arms out of the United States and others accused of theft, strangulation, domestic battery or harboring undocumented immigrants. One has a homicide conviction in Venezuela, another was accused in Chile of kidnapping, drugging and raping a woman. Another two dozen of the men had been accused or found guilty of lower-level offenses in the US or elsewhere, including trespassing, speeding in a school zone and driving an improperly registered vehicle. The men have been sentenced to 1 year in the prison which Pres. Bukele called “renewable.”

I think many illegals fled poverty and violence in their home countries. Trump says with NO evidence that other countries emptied their prisons, mental institutions, etc. He has also offered NO evidence that the boats he is destroying are carrying drugs.

The paragrapgh you reference near the end at 1:43 talks about the "radical left" not the entire left, not the regular joes. That wing of the democrat party that now controls it- wants a revolution in my opinion, but to what? What could be better then equal rights and equal opportunity for all? That's the best as humans can possibly do, right?

They're also promoting lawlessness. If you don't like the law, work to change it, but you can't pick and choose which laws you want to follow such as deporting illegals as every President has done for 70+ years.

I like1:24-33 where he says "I want sunlight" YES. He talks mostly about veterans issues. I appreciate you sending this, and I would give hime some Grace. When parties still accuse each other of violations, trust is weak. Without fully functioning humanitarian corridors and reconstruction, relief is limited. The larger issues (governance of Gaza, disarmament, long-term agreement) are still unresolved. External diplomatic momentum is high (U.S. involvement, regional dynamics), but that also means the pressure is on and either party could back-slide.
