Although Charlie's principles, sensibilities, and articles of faith are nearly identical to that of our grandparents, the men and women of the Greatest Generation (and/or the Great Depression), he is seen as the gravest threat to the contemporary progressive movement of our time, or at least as dangerous as Trump... because young people listened to him and they heard fundamental truths. Call it the "woke-mind virus", as Musk refers to it. Fundamentally, it's a bending of norms and a rending of the language. It begins with creating uncertainty of what "the meaning of 'is' is." It's actually a process of demoralization. A demoralized people will believe anything. A demoralized person will go along with believing a boy can be a girl. Fifty five percent of Democrats are so demoralized, they'd be okay with Trump being assassinated. Many liberals believed that 9/11/01 was some chicken that had come home to roost.
I still get sad at each thing I read about that incredible young man. I read them all anyway. Curiously, watching clips of his exchanges still make me joyous. I hope his effect on people lasts for generations. Especially those who disliked him.
Saw a meme that went: “Remember that the same people who want to take away your 2nd Amendment rights are the same people who killed a man for exercising his 1st Amendment rights!”
In the Denver airport, I overheard a child about the age of Charlie's daughter, squeal with delight at the sight of her dad who was returning from a trip. Her little voice said, Oh, my daddy! There is my daddy! I thought that Charlie Kirk's little girl won't ever again, on this earth, be able to squeal with delight to see Her daddy, and it broke my heart.
I believe God will use this horrible act to break the back of the Woke movement. Hopefully, young people on College campus's won't be intimidated and fear retribution from the woke professors and idiot classmates again. God Bless Charlie Kirk and God Bless America!
Funny how so many people who didn't know him are so keen to trash him after his death, and just can't gobble down conspiracy theories fast enough. And the democrats wonder why their popularity is plummeting?
Here’s Charlie giving a short master class this past July 4th Sunday at his church in Phoenix on the Declaration of Independence. What a truly brilliant man. And well worth a listen.
I am still so filled with sadness and anger at his loss. His love of country and our Lord and savior Jesus Christ was so strong he was carrying the work of so many of us on his shoulders. We are left now to do each of us a small part that together might just add up to what he was capable of for our God and Nation. I salute you brother Charlie!
Just a reminder that thousands of families have experienced the loss of loved ones simply from doing their jobs. Military, cops, firefighters, and others. No, they weren’t a Charlie Kirk, but to the survivors the pain was the same. RIP to all of them and peace to their families and friends.
I have every respect for those who take bodily risks for our safety. But I do think that, while every such loss devastates familial survivors, willful murder is not the same. Firefighters face an elemental threat, military and police do face human threats, but all those are inherent to the work. An assassin's bullet should not be considered a normal feature of debate.
Not my point at all. Apples and oranges. I was simply talking the way impacts survivors.
However…
Does a truck driver expect to die in a wreck? Do USAF pilots expect to die in a crash? Certainly both are possible but rare. The difference is the public nature of Charlie’s life. Sadly too, we have entered a time when political violence IS a consideration of those who take a side publicly.
Always remember that Charlie Kirk was murdered because the violent left is out of ideas that work.
They couldn't debate the man, so they had to silence him.
All the more reason we have to stand in his place and win the debate for him.
Charlie was more about HAVING the debate than WINNING the debate, though he usually did win. IMHO

Charlie Kirk wasn't murdered for what he said, he was killed because people listened.
Exactly. He was a huge threat to the deep state.

A moralized person could never.
Assassination (murder) is never the answer for any situation and it almost always increases support for the victim's side.
Or less "they" had to silence him than they had to misrepresent him so that someone was motivated to silence him

There's no one with the quickness, intelligence and patience who can talk with college students about conservatism as well as Charlie.
Saw a meme that went: “Remember that the same people who want to take away your 2nd Amendment rights are the same people who killed a man for exercising his 1st Amendment rights!”
That’s a good one!

It's been over a month and I still feel such a deep sense of loss.
And I had never really been aware of the guy until his Oxford debate this year. Ever since, I've been fascinated by him on so many dimensions.
I'm so sorry to everyone here, who's still grieved; I am too.

That is the worst part of it.
Happy Heavenly Birthday. 🙏🏼 💔
I can’t watch his videos because his murder makes me so sad. He was so full of life and love and I’m gutted to my core.
Just can't stop watching his youtube shorts... The best part is he never yells at anyone which is what we should all do during debates.
“You were caught in the cross fire
Of childhood and stardom
Blown on the steel breeze
Come on you target for faraway laughter
Come on you stranger
You legend, you martyr and shine”
Shine on...

Charlie was murdered for his ideas. He was a good man and helped a lot of people. It's all still very raw....
