There is a lot disagree with Trump on: his timing of the Iran initiative, his use of tariffs for punitive and asymmetrical actions against otherwise friendly countries like Canada, his painting outside the lines on building new national monuments like the triumphal arch and the White House ballroom; Much of this is unproductive and does not advance the ball on the key points almost all of us agree on which are: Secure Borders, Biological Genders, Reshoring Manufacturing, getting and staying ahead of China on the technology curve (AI and robotics), reducing the national cost of healthcare from 20%+ compared to Europe (less than 10%), eliminating and prosecuting government fraud, Constitutionally getting rid of sanctuary cities and states, planning for the transition of jobs from the impact of AI, and so on. There are so many important things to work on and Trump often chooses the policies that make him feel good / get retribution. But given all of those concerns, what are the options? Obamacare/Medicare, etc. crashed the health insurance car and put it on a permanent course for being terrible for everyone. They knew what they were doing: you don't have to change the laws for the car, you just have to crash it and go from there. People have to pay something for an item or it becomes overused and worthless/unusable. I learned that with housing vouchers: when people had to pay something and follow strict rules, they were more apt to treat it as something like a Golden Ticket (ala Willy Wonka). It's going to be bad no matter what it turns out to be.

I definitely remember my health insurance premiums jumping up noticeably 2013-2014 after Obamacare passed. It was my first real job with health benefits, I remember the health broker coming to the office and telling employees that our company had better, more affordable plans her own company. All that affordability disappeared the next year once Obamacare passed.

I too am curious about the health care cuts the Republicans made. Positive or negative. I have not read anything about them.
