The Left Media are brutal. They are everything they dishonestly say conservatives are: Malicious, Vicious, Spiteful, Cruel, Mean, Hostile. It is strange: one of the mantras the Left constantly repeat is "Be Kind". Yet these are the most cruel people on Earth, or at least in America

What's even worse ... or to be expected ... is the blatant hypocrisy and double standard. The whole Dr. Jill Biden, Dr. Ramen Noodle Al Sayef, or whatever that guy in Michigan's name is. Neither ever practiced medicine. They - the so-called media - never called Dr. Ben Carson doctor, nor Dr. Mehmet Oz. We had KJP, who couldn't recite the alphabet without looking at her notebook and no one said poo. I second Scott Jennings. We need a bulldog who knows how to fight back and knows his/her stuff.

No one on the right berated KJP because conservatives are polite and empathic. The supposedly empath Left HATE people, especially those who get in their way of destroying American culture

“It'll surprise nobody that President Trump’s Chief of Staff Susie Wiles was upset about Trump’s appointment of Zacharia. She was lobbying hard for Scott Jennings, who condemned Trump on January 6 2021 on the pages of CNN’s website no less.”

**This is literally an insurrection. The fact that the US military hasn’t secured the seat of our government already is a failure of leadership by the commander in chief. President Donald Trump caused this insurrection with his lies and conspiracy theories… I’m ashamed and embarrassed for our country.”

– Scott Jennings, January 6 2021**

“Contrary to Jennings, Katie Zacharia has defended (on CNN no less) those unfairly targeted on J6, and has never wavered in her support of President Trump and his MAGA agenda.”

Credit to Rasheem for this reminder.

It’s what the left does bet.

i have to wonder why not scott jennings in the first place.

Katie wasn’t qualified for the job. Deer in headlights. Scott is, but he might take spotlight away from Trump too much. This was a Trump, own-goal, by rewarding loyalty too much. This is the answer to the ‘why’. And it’s okay to admit this was a misfire even if we support Trump (which I do).

VeraOmua's avatar

agreed.

& i can’t believe trump 2.0 is still having this vetting problem.

however, i do believe trump is too alpha to be concerned abt the spotlight being taken away from him. he appears to be the spotlight.

scott jennings is a man in a lane of his own, the way i see it. he’s just too good.

wld be interesting to see who’s next.

Cooper Raymond's avatar

Hard to tell but likely $. He's on top right now and taking that job would only reduce his income and lower his media value.

Jeff Keener's avatar

Jennings strikes me as an "Ask not..." kind of guy. We'll see.

Jeff Keener's avatar

Jennings would be good. He's a quick thinker and has a really thick hide. He's essentially been practicing for this job in the lion's den for years.

Suzie's avatar

I’d love to see Stephen Miller sub while they hunt for a new press secretary. That would be epic 🔥🔥

Brian M's avatar

I think Trump likes to be formally represented by someone who comes off a little softer than Miller (even if they aren't). But it would be epic. You are right about that. Miller is the male version of Anne Coulter, though Coulter is not nearly as loyal as Stephen

She’s got 4 kids 8 & under— that’s why Caroline decided to leave & with only 2 youngsters. That’s a 24 hour 7 day job for a hyperactive boss who expects you to keep up with him. When I’ve seen Katie as a guest on conservative tv—she’s been a relaxed & intelligent speaker. This just isn’t a good position for this time of her life.

Jim's avatar

I would think having 4 kids 8 and under would be good training for dealing with the WH press corps.

Judith Cleveland's avatar

I’d like to see you do it— something gets neglected, usually the kids raised by a babysitter. I had 4 & talk from experience.

Jim's avatar

Calm down Karen. It was a joke against the media. Unload your baggage somewhere else.

Judith Cleveland's avatar

I guess being called a Karen l should be flattered— since I’m 87 & voted R (except for the first time for Kennedy) so not too much fazes me.

rpmschevy's avatar

She was great at it based on my limited observation. Maybe dealing with 3 8 and under (skipping the last one) prepared her well for dealing with a large number of questionable media…

Tom Gelsinon's avatar

Well, she should have cleared up the lawyer/attorney thing, and unfortunately wasn’t ready for this position. She is smart and articulate, and at least never claimed to be an American Indian to get faculty appointments in the Ivy League. So there’s that. Circling back to the Biden Regency, we all can fondly recall the press secretaries in that period who proudly lied about the mental acuity of an angry old scarecrow who was obviously non compos mentis.

She couldn’t get through the 1st press conference without stretches of silence and note searching. Stop putting lipstick on the pig. You’re commenting like those parents that give out participation trophy’s.

Tom Gelsinon's avatar

Just pointing out the media hypocrisy and bias.

Matt L.'s avatar

I agree on that 👍🏼

Lynn W Gardner's avatar

Sasha, she was in a tough spot as she was replacing the GOAT of Press Secretary’s. Also the entire Socialist Democratic Media is after anyone on the administration they can waylay. The attorney/lawyer Stuff was BS. She graduated Pepperdine Law School end of discussion. Unfortunately she did not go through the gauntlet as many time as Caroline and was not prepared for the Zero Sum Game the leftist media is playing. Our President needs a battle hardened individuals that will not tolerate the medias BS.

...I cannot imagine what it must be like ... to have your first day of employment going live before a couple of million people and your appraisal is written by Twitter (X) ... I'd pass ... I give these women credit for the leap of faith but the question of the law degree was a vetting problem ...

Lisa Peebles's avatar

I vote Caroline Sunshine. She is quick on her feet with a pithy and cojent reply. She could nail it.

Brian M's avatar

Caroline is sweet, a lot like Katie. The thing McEnany and Leavitt had going is a little viciousness underneath the soft surface. They also had quick minds and stabbing wit. Caroline and Katie, not so much

frank's avatar

I've heard Kari Lake's name thrown around, but only informally.

Marilyn's avatar

I like that idea!!

williamj's avatar

Sasha,

Instead of more deflection why don't you just admit that Katie Zacharia's dishonestly misrepresenting herself as a lawyer and incompetence at her Monday press conference were too much even for President Trump?

Jean Wurzer's avatar

Why did she say she was a lawyer? Seems like a rookie mistake.

Richard's avatar

She has a law degree but didn't take the bar exam. At any rate it's not a job requirement. The comparison with al Sayed is obvious. He has an MD but has not practiced medicine. He represents himself as a doctor.

williamj's avatar

Richard,

Katie Zacharia did sit for the California Bar but failed the exam.

El-Sayed has both M.D. and Ph. D. degrees. While he does not have a license to practice medicine in any state, his Oxford doctorate in public health entitles him to be addressed as "Doctor El-Sayed."

Jim's avatar

Like Dr. Jill

williamj's avatar

Exactly. Since Jill Biden earned an Ed.D., she was fully justified in using the title.

Richard's avatar

I meant a real doctor.

Christine Jones's avatar

The general wisdom is that JD holders ARE lawyers, but they are not Attorneys, who must be licensed. Katie is, indeed, a lawyer because she holds a JD degree from an accredited law school. She messed up by implying she was also an attorney. She implied that most recently when she was asked when she became an attorney and her answer was “in China.” Well, that couldn’t be true. In the end, her mistake wasn’t a really big one. She had every right to call herself a lawyer. The press is just super vicious with all things involving Trump. (BTW, I’m a licensed attorney).

Christine Jones's avatar

Nope. Not saying that

Brian M's avatar
1hEdited

So you are saying the press would be nice to the press secretary if the Pres was George W or Mitt Romney? No, I don't think so. For the liberal press this is a winner-take-all, no-holds-barred, grudge match. It is an existential fight over the US Constitution, which they all oppose, especially and ironically, free speech as they proved by supporting and cheerleading the Biden Admin censorship and lying about the Epstein files, the Russia Hoax, Hunter's laptop and the Biden family influence peddling. They HATE conservatives and will say and do anything to try and take us down. The Left media literally are Enemies of the State.

Well, she did perform like a school girl reading out loud in elementary school. But she had the main requirement for a female Trump employee, long flowing blond hair.

Oh my NW. Did you not see the obvious response to your snotty comment:

Karine Jean Pierre performed like a school girl reading out loud in elementary school( although slightly better at lying through her teeth).

But she had the main requirements for a female Dem employee- she is a black lesbian. And don’t you forget it! Historic! The first!

And This is some sort of Bad Thing?

Bonnie J. Toomey's avatar

To be honest, I was not confident after her first press conference. Leavitt was a hard act to follow. Trump seems to like central casting looks which he may have liked about her, and she has the acumen if I understand it correctly, but I suspect that she knew that it wasn’t going to be her cup of tea almost immediately. I give her respect for knowing that and once again, the inept and vicious press reveal their contempt and petty fetishes.

Ohio Deb's avatar

Lovin what you thought about that! Yes!

Roseanne Barr for Press Secretary.

Brian DeLeon's avatar

Just put someone in that position who is tough and won’t put up with the corporate media’s shit. Scott Jennings would be awesome, but anyone else who’s tough as nails would be great.

Griswold's avatar

Never show signs of weakness to vicious animals.

frank's avatar

Scott Jennings would be great. I have never understood why anyone would want to work alongside that ultra-low I.Q. leftist hag Abbey Phillip.

Ohio Deb's avatar

YIKES! She’s a “stepford wife” type.. and I don’t what CNN. It’s the clips posted on social media… central casting for sure!

The press somehow sees this as a victory for Democrats. That's how desperate they are.
