Nice post, Sasha!👍👍 Every one of us probably has a crazy old uncle or aunt, but it seems like the Democratic Party is overflowing with these crazies and they’re not all elderly. The party of hate, intolerance and insanity should implode 💥 soon and it will be glorious.

Democrats ARE war mongers, eagerly supporting the enemy. Democrats supported Iran for the 47 years in which Iran has been attacking Americans. President Trump is defending America and Democrats hate him for doing that.

So sad for you. Fortunately my siblings are all MAGA voters.

Do you have kids? My kids are either oblivious or "left". It's very sad, as my husband and I taught them well.

Sherry 1's avatar

The schools ‘turn’ them starting in Grade ONE. Those ‘60’s hippie freak underground weirdos went to college and got their teaching degrees. Hence this result. Communism infiltrates and plays a long game.

Trapped in IL's avatar

Yes they do! Send your kids and grandkids to private schools, Catholic schools or home school them. The public school system has been indoctrinating our kids with Communism for the past 30+ years.

Susan Vonder Heide's avatar

Don't assume that private and parochial schools are necessarily safe from leftist indoctrination either. Homeschooling is safest.

Mia R's avatar

Son had 12 years of parochial schooling. There was more than one teacher in that crowd that was to the left. Sometimes, it is the people they look up to and the fact that he had serious issues to begin with. He is now a 46 year old TDS poster boy who can't even be out in public or hold a job for fear he will be triggered by a conservative. It is so incredibly sad.

These options weren't available to us, for reasons I won't go into (and it WASN'T because we had a nice house in a sub-division in the suburbs and were taking nice vacations every year). But if these options can be done, most definitely do it!

I have no idea what my sons political views are. I suspect he has none. When I was his age (24) I was basically apolitical. I was a hard core lefty, but I didn't vote until I was 31, when I voted for Al Gore (I did vote when I turned 18, but it was a mid term election and I don't remember who I voted for). I went to college and got indoctrinated into leftism by my friends and professors. This was in the late 80's - early 90's. Like Sasha, I have since recovered from that mind virus. Covid did it for me, though I had already started moving away from my lefty friends and family by 2002 or so. My 18 year old self must have suspected something, since I registered the first time with "no party affiliation" and have stayed that way ever since.

It is a rather horrified fascination, Tim, with which I behold the self-destructive nature of those around me who have embraced TDS.

The "tell," is when I say that I strongly approve of some of President Trump's policies, and just as strongly disapprove of other policies that he has put forward.

Without exception, the TDS expresses itself with a knee-jerk "I don't" when I say that first part; they're talking over me as I say the second part.

The diagnosis is confirmed when I ask "what if President Trump had implemented this other policy that helped you when former president whomever signed it into law?"

I strongly suspect that you have attempted to obtain an answer with some version of that thought exercise, and experienced the variable responses that all have one thing in common; a refusal to answer honestly and plainly.

There was one Biden signing that I thought a very good thing. At the time, I said that I strongly disapprove of most of Biden's policies, but this one was good. Simple intellectual honesty demanded that I make that obvious concession, and the TDS cohort simply refuses to do that.

TDS isn't contempt or any form of honest dissidence; it's a secular religion, even adopting taqqiya as a fundamental precept. Any that refuse to say the words required by the leaders of this religion, are apostate.

That said, I found one honest man, a decent fellow that I've known since I was a small child. I could see his internal struggle written on his face, but his basic integrity and intelligence prevailed.

Carl L. McWilliams's avatar

And YHVH/God Gave Them Over to a Depraved Mind:

Romans 1:28 states that God gave the people over to a depraved mind (also translated as reprobate, debased, or corrupt mind) because they did not see fit to acknowledge their accountability to YHVH/God or retain the knowledge of Him. This action is presented as a "Divine Judgment" where YHVH allows individuals to follow their own corrupted reasoning, resulting in the performance of actions that are "not fitting" or "ought not to be done".

The passage describes a progression where the refusal to acknowledge a God of Judgment leads to a cultural, moral and intellectual decline, characterized by:

* Being filled with unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, and evil.

* Engaging in specific sins such as envy, murder, strife, deceit, and sexual immorality.

* Exhibiting behaviors like gossiping, slander, and being haters of Jesus Christ.

* Disobeying parents and lacking understanding, fidelity, love, and mercy.

* Continuing to do these things and even "approving of others" who practice them.

This surrender to a depraved mind is the third instance in Romans 1 where God "gives them over" as a consequence of idolatry and rejecting the truth about Him and His soon-coming Judgments.

We have 4 adult offspring. 3 of the 4 had a really great youth group pastor, and their identity comes from Christ. 2 of those 3 are pretty liberal, but they are still happy, kind people. They can have thoughtful debates. The other one is really independent, despite getting a psychology degree. She really rejects the trans nonsense and sees real harm done to children. Alas, 1 if the four is off the deep end. And he's the one who grew up in a strong faith-filled household, but didn't have great youth group leadership. His identity comes from his political religion these days. And he says we've betrayed him and wants nothing to do with his dad or me. I do believe it's a spiritual battle.

We have similar issues. Daughters seem the most affected and some of the rhetoric is not only shaded by leftist ideals but it outright lies. Our sons trend toward libertarian/conservative and are willing to discuss. Our daughter OTOH is surrounded by liberal girlfriends one of whom is a strident Democrat Socialist. It's gotten to the point we don't speak and I feel I have to walk on eggshells. She calls my husband, not me, to talk because he doesn't read as much although he's just as conservative as I am. I saw this coming back in 2018 with my female high school students. I knew who the gay boys were, but they weren't outspoken. It was the girls who insisted on acting and looking provocative. And most of them were deeply into anime-which has a dark side-and KPOP which has a strong gender fluid narrative.

True. Dems have oriented themselves automatically opposite to anything Trump does. Regardless of topic, nuance, circumstances. No thought. Just oppose.

https://anotherbetrayedliberal.substack.com/p/dems-move-to-mandate-tylenol-in-pregnancy?utm_source=publication-search

And that's true for Trump supporters also. This war will cause famine, that's not Dem propaganda, its logistics of shipping and supply lines, fertilizers, packaging, helium, etc.

It will also present the perfect opportunity for the same beast that wanted to bring in technocracy through vaccine passports to bring it in this way. As they're doing in Gaza, on top of a graveyard, making it the prototype Technate they want for the rest of the world.

https://patrickwood.substack.com/p/the-gaza-technate-for-the-first-time

But since lots of Trump supporter are oriented to support everything he does - and to reflexively oppose everything Dems oppose (like ending this war, although that's impossible at this point) - they're just fine with the exact same things they'd be angry and activated to stop if it was done by Dems.

Yes I know there are some differences between wings of the uniparty, and they're huge differences. Puberty blockers and surgeries for children, mandating mRNA poisons (that Trump pushed but at least didn't mandate) ...

But because Democrats have been certifiably insane and are so easy to mock, doesn't mean that the "other team" (other wing of the Uniparty), should be supported when they are doing exactly what one would do if they wanted to depopulate the world and get people desperate enough for digital currency. Whether that's what Trump wants or that he's easily manipulated by those who do is secondary.

I've avoided the No Kings protests so far. I went to anti-Trump protests in the pre-COVID times, and I wasn't even fully sure why. TDS is like that, you just take positions without really understanding them by the force of the crowd and prior beliefs (Both versions of TDS, Derangement and Devotion)

This time, I'm planning to go, and I do know why.

We need to stop looking down on each other for political teams. I know the left has done that terribly, but the right has also.

And the left was more correct than many of us realized this time around about their fears of what Trump would do - which is literally happening right now.

They ruined their credibility to say anything with so many lies .. and picking on nothing to try to "get Trump", like Stormy Daniels, or saying an MSG rally = Nazi because almost a century ago there was a Nazi rally in the same location. Those low attempts only backfired, it meant no one who could see their lies and paranoia took warnings about Trump seriously. But they had more truth than they were given credit for. Doesn't mean they were right about everything. They surely weren't right to call for disowning family members who voted Trump. But please also check your own disdain for the left.

The problems are beyond left / right, they want us fighting each other ...

Ellen's avatar

Here's a much shorter attempt -

There are - already - rations, lockdowns, empty gas stations, and people starving to death because they do not have digital IDs, around the world. These problems will get much worse, because of actions that Trump set in motion.

See some of the headlines here - https://unshadowed.substack.com/

And gene-edited nitrogen-fixing microbes - "synthetic biology replacing natural soil microbiomes, creating new dependencies with no easy undo." - Ice Age Farmer https://substack.com/home/post/p-192259167

This is the technocracy power grab that comes from beyond Trump, and would still exist without him. But he was installed because if the Exact Same Things were done by a Dem - this same comments section would be very different right now.

And the food / fuel / fertilizer / helium / plastics, etc, shortages - with rations and digital ID "solutions" are rapidly escalating because Trump either wanted to or was manipulated into Operation Epic Hubris.

Does this make any sense?

It's certainly not because Rachel Maddow told me Trump is bad.

Pam Humphrey's avatar

im confused....why are you going to this protest?

Ellen's avatar

Because what I learned with COVID, and thousands of hours of research, is that what seemed too speculative-dystopian to be true actually is true ... that the powers that shouldn't be - which control both parties - do want there to be less humans on the planet, and want those of us remaining to be tagged and tracked like farm animals. And worse than that, they want to fuse technology with humanity by any means necessary.

And right now, whether by intent or because someone with a huge ego and no moral core is easy to manipulate - the decisions of Donald Trump, who I regret I voted for (no I never would have voted for Harris), are what is bringing this to much of the world, perhaps the entire world -

"The current energy and fertilizer crisis is rapidly becoming a food crisis. Farmers face impossibly exploding input costs while crop prices lag, pushing many to the edge of viability. As fertilizer is unaffordable, Pivot Bio and others are aggressively scaling gene-edited nitrogen-fixing microbes onto millions of acres of U.S. farmland -- right now. This is the first wave of synthetic biology replacing natural soil microbiomes, creating new dependencies with no easy undo." - Ice Age Farmer https://substack.com/home/post/p-192259167

There are - already - rations, lockdowns, empty gas stations, and people starving to death because they do not have digital IDs, around the world.

See some of the headlines here - https://unshadowed.substack.com/

What we mock as TDS is a mix of instinctive Trump-hatred to follow the group-mind, based on media manipulation and hysterical over-reactions (like pre-framing a Madison Square Garden rally as = Nazi because they had a rally there almost a century ago ...(??)),

And also, truer-than I realized observations that someone so chaotic, already in the pocket of the Zionist cult, with no morals and a huge ego, is likely to not just make obnoxious posts, rude comments, and unfair laws, but to plunge the entire world into point-of-no-return hell. Which is actually happening, right now.

I'm going to No Kings, not because I think Trump is the worst person in the world, but right now he is doing the bidding of the most dangerous person in the world, Netanhayu, and if this No Kings has a much higher turnout than the others, it will register some opposition to this insane war.

This picture, I first saw on a discussion between Michael Yon and Liz Gunn (Free New Zealand) - both are nowhere near Democrats, is what I sent to a print store to put on a sign ~ https://www.instagram.com/p/DVuE7NDkYQr/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=tumblr

I will feel very strange being there. Around people who Still think mRNA shots are safe and effective, who think RFK, Jr is a conspiracy-spouting fool, who think the NY Times is news. People who if they knew who I voted for would blame me for the entire mess the world is in.

But there are also people there who are not that cold. People I know from my prior life, who are not paid protestors, but sincere and caring, whose hearts have been breaking for the Palestinians for long before 10.7.

If conservatives - whose pattern recognition of problem /reaction/solution around COVID, climate, trans, etc, is valuable and necessary, could join with liberals / progressives - some of whose pattern recognition around how doing the bidding of Zionists feeds a spiral of destruction that reaches across the entire world -

Maybe there would be enough momentum to change something in this disasterous war + lockdowns + rationing + technocracy.

We don't have to agree on everything or even hardly anything to try to stop this war.

But there is so much contempt for the "other" - on both sides.

I have much respect for Sasha. Some of her most impactful articles show how liberals dehumanize Trump supporters. The hypocrisy of claiming to be "inclusive and welcoming" yet having only disdainful hate towards those who voted red.

Yet this comment section is mostly that same thing in the other direction.

Shit's getting scary. Not just slightly higher prices, but a planet where the only option to eat may entail digesting the technology we all tried to avoid.

Did I just type that? That's insane .. yes food is poisoned but it's not integrated with tech that could surveill us(?) ... I never would have believed that 6 years ago.

But it's happening, and - whether by intent or as puppet - it's Trump's actions, and Hegseth who he appointed, (Sadly, I do feel betrayed by Tulsi, who I trusted to have more courage at this moment) - who are creating conditions around the world so farmers have no choice but to do this -

https://unshadowed.substack.com/p/the-planetary-bio-surveillance-grid

(That was written in 2025, speculated that maybe bird flu would be the crisis that activates surveillance tech as fertilizer. It's what Trump set in motion, the global supply chain shortages, on an interconnected planet, as spring planting is happening now.)

** I agree with Caitlin Johnsone,

"Trump is not some freakish aberration; he is the product of the same American political status quo as his predecessors. He became president the same way they did, and the powers he now wields were given to his office via mundane executive, legislative and judicial decisions and precedents before he was ever elected.

But because the “No Kings” protests are organized by liberal defenders of that same political status quo, the demonstrations cannot address any of this. The whole thing is designed to be as large and inclusive as possible while also ensuring that it doesn’t disrupt the established order in any meaningful way. They make no real demands. They coordinate the demonstrations with police and government officials. Protesters show up for a few hours with their brunch signs and their orange guy shirts, and then they go home without inconveniencing anybody.

They are not protesting against the US empire. They just want a more polite, photogenic empire.

They are not protesting the corrupt oligarchic political system which gave rise to Donald Trump. They just want the corrupt oligarchic political system to give rise to presidents who make them feel less uncomfortable.

The problem is US presidents, not kings. The problem is the US empire, not Trump. The United States needs drastic, revolutionary change, not daytime protests designed to be as inoffensive as possible."

https://www.caitlinjohnst.one/p/the-problem-isnt-kings-the-problem

That all rings true, but I'm still going, because this is the most dangerous war of my lifetime, we're on the brink of technocratic tyranny *along with food and fuel shortages, and if more people show up to this with signs / messaging about this insane war, maybe it will do something. At least I want to try.

Brian's avatar

I think the people you will join at the protest actually support defunding the police, abolishing ICE, opening up borders, prioritizing illegal aliens over US citizens, vaccine mandates, chopping up kids' privates, etc.

Ellen's avatar

Yes, you're right, at least about most of them and the organizers. That's why I haven't gone to any protests besides anti-mandate / medical freedom in many years.

The one thing many, especially on the left of center left, have gotten Right, for years before10/7, is that the psychopathy of Zionism (Zionist does not = Jewish), is willing to burn down the entire world to get what they want.

And now that that's happening in real time, affecting everyone from the dead children in the Middle East to Australians who don't have gas to countries forcing only people who have QR codes to drive / get gas on certain days / food rations, to price increases, shortages + gene-edited microbes for all of us ...

As humungous as those differences are, about mandates, transing kids, etc, those are no small things ...

Common ground to show opposition to this war, and maybe realize that the two party system is controlled by the same puppeteers, is more important right now.

"This is what it looks like when you give Zionists everything they want. This is Zionism put into practice.

The wars.

The massacres.

The bombed-out schools and hospitals.

The millions of displaced individuals.

The invasion of Lebanon

The explosions carpeting Tehran.

The hollowed-out moonscape of Gaza.

The horrific pogroms in the West Bank.

The child amputees.

The smell of rotting corpses.

The assassinated doctors and journalists.

The blackened sky and the poisoned water.

The nonstop deluge of brain-melting propaganda.

The aggressive promotion of Islamophobia and anti-Arab racism.

The erosion of free speech rights throughout the western world.

The corrupt warmongering politicians.

The legions of online hasbara trolls.

The soaring fuel prices.

Money which could pay for social services buying bombs for Israel instead.

All the death, destruction, instability and suffering that’s being visited upon countless civilians throughout west Asia.

This is Zionism. This is what it looks like when you apply the political ideology of forcibly imposing the existence of a Jewish ethnonationalist apartheid state on historic Palestine. This is it. You’re looking at it.

There is no alternate-reality version of Zionism where all these nightmares are not happening. There is no other kind of Zionism out there waiting in the wings. The liberal Zionist fantasy of a peaceful, egalitarian Israel is just that: a fantasy. It has never existed in real life.

In real life Israel cannot exist without nonstop violence and abuse. It’s like a house that will fall down if it’s not in a constant state of construction. At some point you realize the house should never have been built where it was built, and that steps need to be taken to rectify this error.

Zionism is a failed experiment. How do we know? Look around you.

Time to pull the plug." - Caitlin Johnstone https://www.caitlinjohnst.one/p/this-is-what-it-looks-like-when-you

WOW..ok then......i hope you have a wonderful time and be safe! one last question.....what would you like to see the US become?

Ellen's avatar

I'd like to see the US become a country where half the country doesn't hate, judge and distrust the other half. Where human rights are respected, like the right to not be forced into medical interventions, or digital IDs - digital currencies - social credit (which lead to being forced into medical interventions).

Where parents rights and children's innocence are respected.

I'd like to see the US be a country where we don't bleed out $$$ fighting needless wars. Where we have immigration that includes vetting people so we know who is being let in, but where there's compassion if people are fleeing countries that the US had a hand in destroying.

I'd like to see the US stop destroying other countries and being the bully of the world, where earth and water are protected with reasonable regulations but "sustainability" isn't a pretext for totalitarian control.

A country where if a crisis does happen, like diseases or shortages, that they have not been deliberately engineered and then exploited to drain every bit of autonomy from every person.

Where we have borders, and defenses, but don't waste billions to trillions on killing people all over the world. Where that $ is instead used for Quality, integrative healthcare for US citizens, and ways of growing food that don't use poisons or the creepy new gene-edited "solution" to this coming global famine.

Where we cut the puppet strings from whatever corrupt slime has controlled every president since at least Kennedy.

Probably won't happen, but it's what I'd like to see ...

https://solari.com/the-fast-approaching-digital-control-grid-a-checklist-of-trump-administration-actions-to-date/

Would they be more sane to just stop on Jan 20th and say, "whew, all good now!"?

What an irony it would be if it turns out that the folks full of TDS - whose hatred of Trump blinded them to the bigger picture around COVID and open borders and other things, are able to turn their hatred of one person into understanding of the global systems that manipulate him,

Meanwhile those who insult anyone who criticizes Trump will stay blind to the bigger picture out of stubborn loyalty to one man.

If you think this is insane ... do you have a more sane perspective? If so, what is it?

Do you find these words insane, from someone who's pretty much as far from a Democrat as one can get?

It is the ultimate act of political treachery, transforming a movement of national renewal into a vehicle for foreign entanglement. This subservience is not just a policy failure; it is a fundamental violation of the oath to protect and defend the United States. Our primary allegiance must be to our own nation, not to the ‘Greater Israel’ projects of war criminals abroad.

Trump’s Delusion Is the Greater Madness

We are incessantly warned to fear the ‘woke’ insanity of the left -- their gender mutilation of children, their equity-based destruction of merit, their weaponized migration. These are real and present dangers. But to claim we must therefore tolerate the escalating madness of the right is a false dilemma. We are told to choose between cultural Marxism and a delusional warmonger. I choose neither.

The evidence of Trump’s dangerous disconnect from reality is now inescapable. His recent, bizarre claim that Iranian leadership begged him to become their ‘Supreme Leader’ reveals a mind adrift in fantasy, one that is now commanding the world’s most powerful military. [1] This is not the shrewd dealmaker of 2016; this is a figure whose judgment is clearly compromised. Choosing between one form of ruin and another is no choice at all." - Mike Adams, Health Ranger

(I'm surprisingly glad I went to No Kings ... a lot of people agreed that this is bigger than any one person, and there are larger agendas at play. Good conversations, about how the vax mandates cost Dems the election, how Conservative does not = bad, and "lock him up!" (ugh), does nothing unless the forces pulling his puppet strings are also locked up, and there are trojan horses for digital prisons we all need to pay attention to.)

The first impression was, yes, deflated "aging boomers" with boring chants. But actually talking with people, they're human beings. And there's something mean about younger people mocking older people for taking their aching bones out to a protest. (Much of the criticism of these protests are from GenXers like me who mock the folks one generation older, the age we'll soon be, at least whoever survives this.) Yes the singular focus on the world's problems caused by one man is missing the point, which is part of why I went.

Everything you say is perfectly coherent and well-argued—until you inch too close to something in the “Technate” orbit. At that point, you make a whipsawed detour (every time!) into things that read like the fever-dream paranoia of a schizophrenic six months off her meds. Elaborate, global conspiracies maintained by a secret cabal of tech bros intent on infecting everyone on earth with secret digital trackers hidden in vaccines do not exist anywhere other than in the minds of the (at least partly) deranged. The articles you link to in your comments are the craziest screeds I have ever read, but what makes them truly alarming is that the people writing them lack any empirical justification for the conclusions they are drawing, but they broadcast them to the world with the gravitas of a world leader about to launch a nuclear missile. They take themselves super, super seriously, even as they continue writing blogs that guarantee no one in their right mind ever will.

I hope you find peace with your digital demons, because they are clearly a trigger. But they are all in your head. You are connecting dots that aren’t there with invisible string. I half expect you to disclose in your next post that you hear voices through radio waves being channeled through the filings in your teeth.

I wish you the best. Like I said, but for that ONE thing, you seem perfectly normal. Hopefully you can get to a place where you recognize it for the delusion it is. 👍

Bobby's avatar

So you're going to a "No King's protest" because you think Trump is acting like a King?

Ellen's avatar

Not necessarily .. I think he's acting more unhinged than a King ... I'm going because if this protest has a much higher turnout than others, it sends a message about opposition to this insane war in Iran, that's poised to bring in the technocratic tyranny that is not partisan. Technocracy wants full control, they don't care what the pretext is.

But shortages of fuel and fertilizer, likely by design but even if not, is the perfect pretext for more lockdowns (already happening), rations (already happening), and gene-edited fertilizer with creepy tech abilities being the only option farmers have - and a way to get tech into people.

I don't think Kings would make things this infantile, Sponge Bob Squarepants laughing about carnage in war.

I’ll tell you what’s in them in case you don’t want to click the link. The first shows videos clips of explosions in Iran alternated with SpongeBob SquarePants saying, “Want me to do it again?” The second is titled “Justice, the American Way” and shows movie outtakes glorifying violence, domination, and machismo, again followed by real bomb explosions from Iran and a deep voice intoning, “Flawless victory!”

These were produced in the days after 160 schoolgirls were slaughtered by a US missile in Iran.

To call these videos juvenile would be to insult actual juveniles. To describe their vibe as “frat-boy” would be to insult actual fraternity brothers. One commenter on X said, “Beavis and Butthead have hacked the White House X account.”

But the reader doesn’t need me to explain how depraved these videos are. There is more to be said.

The posts portray war as if it were a movie or a video game. For those perpetrating the war, it is indeed like that, in the sense that they experience no real consequences. Doubtless, their situation reports, their intelligence briefings, their strategy memos, their lists of targets, their military jargon of “theaters” and “assets” insulate them from the reality of wailing parents, screaming children, severed limbs, scarred lives, and ruined families." - Charles Eisenstein (speechwriter for RFK Jr, who has been disowned by most on the left and blamed for everything Trump does, because he was instrumental in Kennedy's rise.) -

She. But probably would have been a confused "they/them" if I was a kid today. One of the main reasons I voted for Trump was to make it harder for the trans cult to confuse and chop up children.

But the suffering unleashed now, between people killed, poisoned, soon-to-be-more dead American troops, plus people around the world who are already going without food, and the exact agenda of technocracy riding in on this, and gene-edited fertilizers, etc ( https://unshadowed.substack.com/ ), will dwarf even the carnage that Dems did with trans, open borders, and mandating the mRNA horrors that Trump pushed but at least didn't mandate.

R H's avatar

It's pretty simple. If the Supreme Court rules that late arriving mail-in ballots can't be counted, we pass the SAVE Act, and the next census doesn't count illegal aliens for reapportionment of electoral votes, the Demoncats are history. Make it so. So let it be written, so let it be done.

Roger Pressman's avatar

The left-wing of the Democratic Party does few things well, but they and millions of aging supporters are masters of meaningless gestures. No Kings Day is an excellent example.

Hundreds attend rallies in blue locales, carrying homemade signs— who said Democrats can’t make things anymore?—that tell us they’re “protecting our democracy.” This from people who oppose voter ID, use presidential impeachment as a temper tantrum, tell us that removing criminal illegal immigrants from our cities is somehow a human rights violation, and recently, question whether something other than empty words might be required to stop an Iranian dictatorship that murders thousands of its own citizens, brutalizes women, and sows chaos in the M.E. and beyond.

No Kings Day is a pathetic attempt at relevance among those who no longer are. It is a pathetic attempt to virtue signal, nothing more.

Cabogirl's avatar

Homemade signs. ???? BS. This is not organic. This is “paid for” for many of these protestors.

Ellen's avatar

I spent $37 to print this on a sign. https://www.instagram.com/p/DVuE7NDkYQr/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=tumblr

Yes there is $ that feeds into the organizations that coordinate No Kings - and some of them have been on the deadly wrong side of a LOT. But most of the people are not paid.

Brian DeLeon's avatar

Exactly. And you’ll notice the people who attend the No Kings rallies have the same empty, exuberant expressions on their faces as members of a cult.

Why is it that Democrats, especially the media and entertainment types, are always projecting their own ill-intentions onto me and my conservative friends while pretending to have only love and kindness for others (except everyone to the right of Progressives)?

Democrats have a lock on authoritarian actions, as demonstrated in the 4 years of the Biden admin, but also under Obama. Which party was trying to install a "Disinformation Director", the proverbial "Ministry of Truth" from Orwell?

Which party pursues political opponents with the DOJ, indicts on fictious charges and incarcerates those opponents when they won't even keep murderers and rapists behind bars?

Which party works overtime to steal citizens' wealth and then gives it to illegal immigrants and other crooks through fraudulent programs?

Which party manipulates democratic elections by encouraging illegal votes and then hiding those votes from Federal examination by refusing to turn over county election records and registration roles with proof of citizenship?

I can go on and on. The party of fascism / intolerance is the Democrat party. The GOP continues beating its head on the wall promoting democracy against an opponent that has no rules

Edit: BS qualifies as an aging Boomer. The rest are too old.

Heyjude's avatar

The old leftists will never stop. Their brains have been marinating in the stew of toxic ideas for too long. They truly believe they are the geniuses who had everything figured out at 17. How can they ever stop and think just maybe they were wrong their whole lives? Never gonna happen.

I knew a lot of these kind of people. I’m a boomer too. But I grew up to understand reality is a lot different from what I thought at 17.

Rick's avatar

A nasty summer job at age 14 can have a lasting effect on one’s political bend. Most hard core loony leftists never worked an honest job, if they worked at all.

Old, 1970’s Springsteen is still great music. Candy’s Room, It’s Hard to be a Saint in the City are a few. But boy has the Boss gone off the deep end as he’s aged. I wonder what Frank Zappa would have said about all the performative antics. I suspect Frank would have torched both sides of the aisle.

I saw they put a full page ad in our tiny county advertiser today. Words cannot convey the disdain I have for these imbeciles. *SIGH*

I wrote down a bunch of ideas for counter-protest signs. Of course, no one around here (including me) would involve themselves in such business, but it was kind of therapeutic.

DarkSkyBest's avatar

Yes, here in rural Illinois they are “standing up” almost every weekend, the same 15 people. They also have making signs night, mailing postcards night, and game night. The Letter to the Editor campaign to our little local paper is relentless. They are pushing No Kings gear hard, and telling us to donate to ActBlue on their behalf. Morons. Very annoying Morons.

Kate's avatar

I suppose they think Pritzker is doing a bang up job

Trapped in IL's avatar

Why do we live here? This state (Illinois) is the worst with its high taxes and woke, progressive “leaders.” Seriously! I was riding my bike down an area bike path and one of these libtards thought they needed to advertise the No Kings protest on the sidewalk with chalk. Thankfully it was erased with the rain. Wish these people would be erased just as easily.

Kate's avatar

The most ironic thing is they've got the worst king of all in the governor's office. That's why I left IL. They obsess over Trump while the state politicians are screwing them backwards forward and sideways.

Rick's avatar

There is no other variety of moron.

Pam Humphrey's avatar

i held my pro president trump signs in my little town during the last one. the hate coming at me was pretty jarring. i was threatened on our town facebook page

Shelly947's avatar

Yeah we went to see Trump last summer in Des Moines at the state fairgrounds. It was the kickoff to the America 250 celebration- right here in Iowa! My parents and my brother and I, and we took our kids, 4 young teenagers. On the way in, riding in the car, the kids gave the protesters peace ✌️, and most of them screamed at them. Then the kids started chanting “USA!”, and they really went berserk.. who are these people??

Pam Humphrey's avatar

mostly spoiled middle aged women (and some men) because it convinces them theyre GOOD PEOPLE. the younger ones are just cynical and looking for something to make sense

DarkSkyBest's avatar

Also think some of the younger ones are earning college credit. They always group in Edwardsville, home of Southern IL University — Edwardsville.

DarkSkyBest's avatar

No surprise. Our local group’s FB page complained that two young men “drove right up behind them . . .” Another time they complained that a man parked nearby and his truck engine sound was intimidating. A local store is closing Saturday because the protest will limit store access, and they complain that she should have contacted them to “work it out.” Victimhood is the strategy. Sounds like The Religion Of Peace.

Cat C.'s avatar

But we need to do counter protests, not on the same day, but a different day (on the same day, they'll probably become violent and attack). I protested for lock-downs to end. I protested for all businesses to be re-opened.

Kathleen's avatar

Best way to protest these imbeciles is to vote!

Bruce Springsteen tickets for his 2026 U.S. tour are currently priced from $100 to over $3,000 for premium seating, with many tickets in the $400-$1,200 range on the resale market. There is a definite King vibe going on with the boss - feels like a "let them eat cake" vibe - a luxury concert seat that is not accessible to the middle class - only available to the DEM elite. Feels a like hypocrisy when talking about NO KINGS. Similar to the Super Bowl vibe.

Curt Chipman's avatar

Sorry please don’t denigrate Marie Antoinette with a false quote. She didn’t say it but still lost her head. I rank the spend thrift Austrian over any Democrat.

Rick's avatar

Do people sit at these events? Tickets should be be sold for standing.

Wouldn't it be great if the young people don't attend this rally because Sprigsteen, Fonda, Sanders are sooo elderly, and older people don't attend because they grew up and know better???

Truk Leppur's avatar

You just have to love (not) the Boomers throwing their hissy fits for the end of Trump and MAGA.

The same generation that enjoyed the fruits of the American Empire selfishly clamoring to end it. With no consideration for their grandchildren who will have to live in a country subjugated by Globalist rule. Where the freedoms and economic advantages are no longer available Resulting in no future to look forward to and bring forth another generation.

The only president and administration to stop the downfall is the focus of their brain dead ire.

GabeReal's avatar

Nice summary of the madness

SueB's avatar

I’m confused. I live in New Jersey, I’m 67, I voted for Trump as well as many of my friends.

Truk Leppur's avatar

Correct to call me out on that, SueB. I, as well, am in the Boomer Generation. It is never wise to lump people together in these collective nouns. We are all individuals. However, with the high profile celebs of our generation overwhelmingly idiots, and such a high percentage of the No Kings participating in the lunacy, it was a honest oversight.

SueB's avatar

I agree. No problem.

Andrea405's avatar

Do you see how Dem your state is?? Your new and prior governors? Your Senators?? Unfortunately, most of your state does not vote as informed as you.

SueB's avatar

Yes I do see it. When Liberals escape the dystopian New York, that they created, they pour into New Jersey. Especially since 2020. My point is that I am a boomer and I voted for Trump.

Rick's avatar

I think you mean many of your friends also voted for Trump, unless many of your friends were running for offices and you also voted for them? Grammar Police. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

ChrisC's avatar

Relax, the midterms are 7 months away. The incumbent party has done poorly in special elections for the past 60 years - it's normal. The turnout in the elections you mention are almost impossibly low, some around 10%. If dems don't take the house in November, it will essentially be the end of their party. It is their last good chance to win anything.

SueB's avatar

It is so very important to get this message out to all Republican voters. Most still support Trump and his administration. Quite simply - we cannot go back to 2020-2024. EVER.

Cat C.'s avatar

The recent FL upset was decided by just a couple HUNDRED votes. WHAT'S UP WITH CONSERVATIVES NOT SHOWING UP TO VOTE? OR are they voting by mail and the postal workers are tossing ballots from "Pro-Trump neighborhoods" in the trash? I think we need ballot observers in POST OFFICES too.

ChrisC's avatar

Republicans don't vote. If the party and candidate work really hard (like in 2024) they can win. I live in Georgia, if we had mandatory voting republicans would win state wide races by 15% every time. Instead we have two dipshit dem senators who won by 1%.

Rick's avatar

Trump has a peculiar talent for accomplishing the previously imagined impossible. I will do my small bit to get conservatives to vote in the midterms. So should you. And then let’s be surprised by the unexpected outcome.

Andrea405's avatar

I keep thinking the GOP wants to lose with Thune slow walking the save act and the lowest #of bills passed since 2025, no prosecutions and sentencing for the Russia hoax, pandemic, indictments, etc.

Not to mention FIRE UP THE BASE AND VOTE TO KEEP A MAJORITY. But what for when we have the Presidency, House and Senate AND... NOTHING!

Cat C.'s avatar

When Trump got elected again, a few said it (including me): "MAGA and conservatives can lose it all if the Senate isn't brought back in line and if those big names in the MAGA movement let their egos take over and start fighting one another and if elections aren't made secure". Back when the budget reconciliation bill was passed the GOP Congress, voter I.D. (an official I.D., not your Costco member card or student I.D.) needed to be included, even if proof of citizenship wasn't included also.
