This is so true - "even on his worst day, Trump is funnier than they are." Trump really is a comedic genius. Like a true comedian, his stuff is funny even when he isn't trying. We all know people who can riff on almost anything and crack us up. Trump is one of those people. According to the non-funny folks you write about, presidents are supposed to be SERIOUS all the time. So, it doubly pisses them off that he is funny and they aren't and he isn't supposed to be funny.

Important to keep in mind that Kimmel isn't funny, it's his anonymous army of writers who make him sound funny.

Trump is spontaneously funny.

I've observed that the TDS pod people can only experience Trump through a lens covered in excrement (their's). They don't notice his sense of humor, because it would require that they feel a positive emotion about him. Not allowed.

Let them exercise their funny bones over Kimmel the Nebbish.

Kimmel’s and his wife's singular obsession with Donald J. Trump has transformed what used to be comedy for everybody into nothing more than pandering sycophants serving up lies and gaslighting to his wealthy, entitled, privileged viewers - who are actually closet communists - hiding in the far left Democrat Party of Barack Hussein Obama and Valerie Jarrett.

And they are using George Orwell's playbook to do it.

If you look at how few people are watching him it’s obvious he is the elites jester. He thinks he’s in the elite group. But the true elites look at him like 🐕 💩 on the bottom of their shoe. He’s just too full of himself to realize it.

Those late night TV guys threw in the towel on trying to be funny. Dave Chappelle, Ricky Gervais, and a few other comedians are funny. But Kimmel, Fallon, Colbert, etc. are merely democrat shills, humor be damned.

The Left engages in an astounding degree of projection. Everything they accuse conservatives of doing is what they do. Sasha nails it: Leftists with fascist inclinations labeling others as fascists.

Interesting that Jimmy is delivering his screed in the UK, which isn't exactly a bastion of free speech these days. People there aren't happy - they want their own version of Trump. Even Ellen wants to come back!

Yes. I think that is what causes them to yell even louder, as if an increase in volume will make us care.

Their “take” is juvenile and not worth our attention.

Sadly, the division they incite in the unthinking folks that listen to them IS something we must consider, esp when it causes the Left to be violent.

"the same people pretending to be fighting fascism are the fascists." That's the kind of truth-speaking to power that gets one labeled "toxic". As is the almost correct observation that the Left can freely offend the Right because they’ve dehumanized them for ten long years. To be totally correct, change "ten" to "fifty". You can trust me on the fifty - I grew up in L.A. 50 years ago, and I know.

I quit TV in 2012 and it was among the biggest pro-health moves ever. I first heard Kimmel on a morning radio show on KROQ-FM in L.A., where he was Jimmy the Sports guy, and he was modestly humorous. (The morning show hosts were hilarious and set him up nicely). That funny bone was removed some time ago and I've never watched any of his TV shit. He's just cashing in on all the Pharma advertising money as fast as he can before that ends (probably soon) and he moves away as a retired Failed Comedian in Italy. Italians won't find him funny, either. He doesn't care. When his mouth opens just imagine the sound of a huge Pharma cash register. Ca-CHING!

Even talking about someone like him gives them the oxygen they need. Like toddlers even bad attention is better than no attention. In years past his ratings would have sunk the show decades ago. NGOs and our own co opted tax dollars support his propaganda.

This idiot dressed in black face to lampoon basketball players and made his living having large breasted women jump on trampolines. He is tasteless talentless and a waste of the air in his lungs.

If you really want to punish him, ignore him. ( It used to drive Hollywood types bat shit crazy when they would come into the hospital as patient or visitor and I wouldn't give in to their entitlement. They would ALWAYS say"DON'T YOU KNOW WHO I AM????" I would always answer" No, should I??". )

Just a reminder that Kimmel is free to spout his nonsense. Meanwhile, the UK is arresting 40 people per day for social media posts and canceling local elections that Reform would probably win. Chancellor of Germany has filed 5000 criminal complaints against people who have insulted him. That's when he isn't getting ready for another go at Russia or figuring out how to ban AfD. Macron has banned le Pen from running for President and is trying to establish a list of "trusted" media. We don't have common values and they are not democracies.

They’re not just arresting anyone; they’re arresting and imprisoning anyone who criticizes Israel’s genocide of Palestinians.

Just like the anti-fascist are now the fascist, the anti-Nazis are now the Nazis.

Actually they are arresting people who say anything about the(Islamic) rape gangs or seaborne invaders. ProHamas people only sometimes get arrested when they physically block traffic or try to blow up synagogues. That's indeed two tier since the trannies and eco-terrorists can do that with impunity.

Yes, could someone please explain to me how it is these people "don't know" that there was horrific censorship for over ten years, over the most anodyne utterances in many cases ("there are two sexes") (I don't want penises in women's locker rooms)....

Seriously. How. Do. They. Not. Know. This.

The other day, someone with 'deport the racists, not the immigrants' as her background photo on FB posted a clip of Vance saying "you don't have to apologize for being white' with some gas lighting creature shrugging as if Vance were inventing the rationale for stating this out of whole cloth. So I get on and say, Where were you for the past ten years? (Nicer than that, I said this). People were apologizing for being white! It was all over social media!

She then has to acknowledge this, but then says, White men were historically evil though.

It truly is as if the country is divided between those who can smell the b.s. and those who smear it all over themselves.

This is the difference between the Violent, Anti-liberty Left and the Pro-freedom Right.

While the Violent, Anti-liberty Left silences people with cancel culture, we take out the trash by exposing the charlatans within our ranks – and they know who they are – debating them, and finally ignoring them.

Ironically Kimmel’s spouting this blather in the UK - where they lock people up for what they say on SM!!! Can’t make this stuff up folks! There’s no “free speech” in Europe anymore; they have become the very thing they fought against in the Second World War.

Truth is Kimmel’s already ruined he just doesn’t know it yet. He’s obsessed with Trump - TDS on steroids. Kimmel is no longer a “comedian” in the classic sense but as you say a court jester playing to the ruling “progressive” establishment. Only those on that side of the aisle will take him seriously from now on. He’s burned his bridges with everyone else - not that he cares. Think he’s on record saying he doesn’t. So his show morphs into what the now canceled Stephen Colbert was; an unfunny, partisan hack fest full of like-minded politicos, “me too-ism”, & jibes at Trump & any/all Republicans.

That sound like a recipe for ratings success?

It sounds like a mature market. Look to business for this. Marketing. There are no new customers any more than there are new voters - which is why the commies want to import them.

That BTW is why the red states have to gerrymander the fuck out of things. Revenge on the Newscum crowd. Fuck fair. This is war and you use whatever weapons come to hand. Unless you are a pussy...

The minds are made up. He won't gain or lose viewers because they have already decided. Perhaps I am way off saying that. Kimmel might lose audience. But the total "lefty audience" and the total "righty audience" are pretty much set in stone.

No pun there Sasha... The market is saturated. They have their cohort and the right has its cohort.

Two nations. We are going to find out if Lincoln was right about "a house divided." Good ol' biblical wisdom! Will it hold?

Every morning I check the headlines in the NY TImes (I use archive.ph on Firefox to bypass their paywall), NY Post (as I kid, I delivered the post to the building AOC now lives in; but stopped after getting mugged for the 3rd time making collections for my route- this was in the 70's), and to read actual NEWS I go to the CBS News app on my phone.

Just sayin'.

I saw the screaming Post headline about Kimmell. And...well...I found it boring. After a DECADE of ''Trump Bad", and ESPECIALLY after he took a bullet to his head...I'm just bored.

Not just by Kimmel et al. I cancelled HBO back in '18/19? b/c all that Brit Oliver did was Trump this and Trump that, and I could get that crap on ANY late night show... BORING... Which is funny, b/c I cut the cable shortly after. And I'm a Boomer.

But...and here's the red-flag, Sasha...

The people on our side, splitting spleens is getting kinda played out too.

Today, driving to see my daughter and family for Boxing Day my wife & I listened to the All In Podcast Christmas party w/ special guest Tony Hinchcliffe. Yeah, I heard the caterwauling about his appearance at the rally in NYC last election cycle. Yeah, I heard about his stuff on Netflix & Youtube, but I never listened to him before.

I laughed my ass off the entire show.

It wasn't too political (despite one of the hosts in the Cabinet! )

IT WAS JUST FUNNY.

Comedy isn’t completely dead. I recently went to see live Dave Chappelle show. It was great. We had to place our phones inside locked pouches for the duration of the show. So as not to pre share it or for anyone to film a clip and give fuel to cancel culture. You can now go watch it on Netflix (just released).

The best part of show (IMO) was warm up act, Donnell Rawlings, and Dave’s longtime loyal friend. For those of you who enjoyed the ‘Chappelle Show’, Donnell closed every episode with “I’m rich, biaaaaatch!”

Night of show was Donnell’s birthday and he said he “was so happy that Trump was President because now he could say whatever the F he wanted to”

And then he did, at full volume and lots of energy. What a great comic!
