It was an amazing speech, sobering, inspiring, cautionary, yet hopeful. We had just been at a political campaign event for our Congressman Derek Van Orden, who was accompanied by Speaker Mike Johnson. They both gave challenging and encouraging remarks and handled the press questions lobbied at them, with confidence and strength. Then to listen to Secretary Rubio in Athens, gave me hope for our country. That and the many young college aged conservatives at the campaign event who were wearing Freedom shirts and contributing enthusiastically to the discussion.
With due respect to both Sec. Rubio and VP Vance, we could not have arrived here without President Trump. As my favorite Republican President said about another uncouth man (and 2nd GOP President) we needed to secure victory, “He fights”.
My hope is to see a President Rubio and VP Vance secure our republic against the forces of darkness (Red-Green Axis) and lead the men (and women) of the West toward peace and prosperity. I hope our fellow citizens and European brothers (and sisters) are waking up to the barbarism that awaits us all should we allow the Red-Green axis to take back power in the USA and continue their rule in Europe (EU globalists)
I agree. Rubio would not have given this speech without Trump first showing a pathway of impossible to possible. Rubio has changed from being somewhat of a RINO in the Senate to a MAGA statesman, and unashamed to be nationalistic. I approve.
Outstanding. Rubio has been the best surprise of Trump 2.0. I wondered what Trump was doing but it turned out he was a better judge than me. But a caution to those who would set Rubio against Vance. They are young enough that we can have both, and Tulsi too. 24 years of that sort of leadership and we can fix things.
An unapologetic embrace of western civilization — how refreshing! Compared to the hand-wringers and the bedwetters who reflexively kowtow, Secretary Rubio stuck the landing, western civilization is foundational bedrock.
Awesome speech. Every quality he spoke of is missing in every country ever under socialism/communism and definitely Islam. Obama pushed Muslim ideology extreme, even changing NASA’s mission statement. Obama has brought decline and racism to our country since 2008. It’s past time to fully reclaim our nation’s values and President Trump has focused solely on turning our country around with forward thinking. Trump has appointed the best cabinet members, with Rubio as SOS a definite rising star and leader.

Compare with the influential Muslim 11th century philosopher Al-Ghazali, who believed there is no cause and effect in Nature, only God's will, so when cotton is placed by a flame, it burns because of God's will. His ideas dominated Muslim science for 600 years.
