My new found love of poetry has sent me off on a search. Here is a review from Amazon:
Invisible Current takes the reader through the seasons in Upstate New York. In poems of spare precision and vivid detail Joseph Massey attends to the sacred in ordinary things: the manic clatter of birds at dawn, the gasp of the thawing ground, the haze of distant wildfires, roadside roses climbing a rusted sign, and the quiet convergence of prayer and landscape. Rooted in walks along rivers, canals, and alleys, these lyrics crystallize the awareness that poetry and life are inseparable. They serve as the antidote to mass simulation by anchoring us in the breath of the present moment and restoring dignity to language and the human spirit.
Dear Dear Dear Sasha, I too am a poet who has been canceled and persecuted by my former good friends in the poetry scene over my support for Trump. The story is a long one and I will soon publish my poems about it and would honored to send them to you if you would like to read them.
Megyn Kelly is right about how bullying and nasty the poets are and how they are almost 100% Far Left Lunatics. I know them by name and can tell many entertaining stories of how unhinged they are and how fragile and how mean and hypocritical they are, and how they comprise a lynch mob. In fact, I took the measure of them in 2014 when I wrote a 10 page poem -- a masterpiece if I say so myself -- entitled "Lynch Mob". A poetry group as a lynch mob? You betcha!
In this group of affluent, liberal, suburban poets I heard well known published poets say things like "I wish the shooter (in Butler, PA) hadn't missed" and "I'd like to operate the guillotine on every Trump voter". And even when I confront them with what they have said they shrug it off and spurn ME for being a Trump supporter, as if voting for Trump is WORSE than wishing the former president were murdered! But this is what they believe in earnest!
It was not I who broke the long-standing bonds of friendship with these people, it was they who rejected me en masse and continue to hate me -- something I have come to hold as a badge of honor. This experience of rejection is what brings me so closely to you and your own story, which I hold dear to me, having experienced similar persecution.
I am so glad to learn of Joseph Massey's work and I odered all his books on Amazon today. We MUSN'T cede the field to them -- THEY DO NOT OWN POETRY even though they occupy 99% of it. We are out there writing and reading and publishing and defying them despite their arrogance and hatred of us, we continue to create with the help of the Muses. You, dear Sasha, are a Muse to us all!
Thank you, Sasha!!!!
Terrific poet and buying his book supports his work! Well worth it.
