My niece got married 7 months ago. Gave the couple $750. No thank you note. No mention of it. Next time I'll gift Sasha instead. Sasha may not write a personal note (which I'm fine with), but at least I know she'll appreciate it. And yes....wedding reception had a cash bar and cold hotel overcooked chicken. Mind numbing.
Ask her parents if she received it as you never got a thank you and you’re worried it got sidetracked somehow. The embarrassment should spark something hopefully
Unless it's my child or someone VERY VERY special, there would NEVER be a $750. gift. YOU definitely need to tell your brother/sister AND niece. If she's old enough to get married, she should be smart enough to know to write thank you notes for gifts. Do not let this go. You deserve a family thank you and these rubes need to learn about manners and how to act as adults.
You should have sent the money and stayed home so the couple could use the full $750 rather than spending a chunk of it for you to attend the reception. You'd have gotten a thank-you note then. Always works for me. If there is any way to do it, I'd add another $250 to avoid getting the thank-you note but I haven't found a way to negotiate that deal.
Reader, stop the whining. I've been a founding member for two years, and I support at that level for the content; I don't need or expect personal feedback to feel valued. Anyway, Sasha says "thank you" frequently in her postings, and I'm otherwise happy to be able to support her amazing efforts in a small way.
I support Sasha because she has an important perspective and is an enjoyable read. For the same reason I have been a long time Instapundit supporter, we must support people we value otherwise their voices fade away. I'd rather see Sasha produce content and be genuine.
Sasha, I like to read your stories because I can so totally relate to what you’re saying, I was raised in Santa Monica and indoctrinated into far left ideology from an early age. But slowly that propaganda brainwashing wore off. And it finally ended when Covid came, and I started to realize how we had been lied to so many times, and how since the left controlled all of California, it was impossible to get alternative viewpoints. Then I got cancer, which may or may not have been caused by getting the Covid vaccine. According to one study in Korea, folks who got the Covid vaccine are 25% more likely to get stomach cancer, which is what I’m fighting. So I trusted the government and got the vaccine, and now I’m sick, so I’m thinking never again should I trust the left or all the nonsense that the Democrats spew. This doesn’t mean that Republicans are perfect. I am still a registered Democrat believe it or not but I vote independent. Anyway, thank you for saying things that I felt in my heart, but many times have no way of saying. Best wishes from VENETA, Oregon, Jeff.
Good grief! Does this offended moron wait around at a restaurant to make sure he gets a thank you from the server? Just put “Thanks in advance” on your tip jar button. Goodnight Nurse! What a silly nonissue.
People sure are whiny little bitches these days
That was my thought, as well.
You’re a mind reader!
If I left a tip it’s because I’m saying thank you to you
Right. "Thank you for the thank you" is absurd. What's next? Thank you for the thank you for the thank you. There's no end to it.
I would not expect a thank you note, it's a blog, not a wedding.

I stopped with the gifts when I didn't get a response.

Not a wedding, but I can still dream, no? Sasha's still pretty hot
Little tip for you. Never tell a woman they’re STILL hot. 😉
Listen to Jim, it's true.
😂👌
You're busy, Stone. I tip but do not expect acknowledgement, let alone a "thank you." Carry on. :-)
DITTO!!

Your content is excellent.
Kinda makes me think you should put all of it behind a paywall. ( since nothing you do has been pay-walled)
You have also may times talked about the thankfulness you have for your readers & supporters
So THANK YOU Sasha for the hard work, honesty & generosity. Love u
I subscribe but thank you Sasha for not having paywall.
Do things out of the kindness of your heart, not for praise.

I don't know how you have time to write as much as you do. Thank you for keeping us informed.
My thoughts as well!

I’m a cancer survivor (not vaccine related). God speed with your recovery!!
Welcome to Blue MAGA. Former Democrats who will never ever ever succumb to the DSA's lust for Karl Marx.
I was a conservative in college when the hippies were wearing tie dyed t’s. I pay no attention to the crazy people.
Covid vaccines are poison shots. Just say no.
Soooo sorry. 😳😔🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Ignore the narcissists. Focus on truth, as you do.
Jeez, if I ever need to be thanked for thanking you, please hit me with a 2” x 4”. :)
Stop worrying about whiners.
I know you’re busy. I get it no need to thank me. You are the best. And honest.

You're kidding me. Was the writer named Karen?
