I'm trying to assess how much of the time I spend swiping through reels on Instagram or Facebook etc. is really "useful" information and how much is just entertaining dreck. Even seeing some awesome food preparation/recipe becomes a time waster at some point. The last couple of days I've tried to find some "source" where you could get an update on the search for the missing pilot (?) and nowhere could I find something that was an clearly straightforward presentation or update. This is crazy. We have more "communication" available than ever and yet it's all tainted. I did see this article that gave some interesting background on the role Oman was playing regarding the Strait of Hormuz problem, but this was just something random I came across not a place I would have been looking for "information". Consuming less of the chatter seems more and more like a good approach.

The Blue states are never happy with the taxes they collect and always try to take more. This is true of CA and NY. They are pushing their biggest taxpayers to Red states. In my long life I have read constantly about how taxes will drive businesses away. It has never happened to a great degree but things change so I make no claims. My personal opinion is that climate change will have a lot more to do with migrations than taxes. But if a billionaire moves to a state with no or low state taxes, it benefits the billionaire but not the state. So to make up for lost federal revenues wouldn’t the Federated Red Stated have to either services or raise taxes? As far as Sachs is concerned, everything that our enemies do is legitimate and justified, and everything the US does is illegitimate and unjustified.
