Sasha, every other Substack column that I have seen has multiple subscribe buttons in every post. Many have Kofi links at the end of each article. I don’t mind. Alex Barenson makes a relevant joke every time.
I know that such shameless capitalism is not your style, but that’s how to get paid. From a marketing perspective, you should make it s easy as possible to subscribe, as in ’click this now’. That’s easy. Providing complicated instructions in another post to go to another website will yield a fraction of the sales these other proven methods generate. I’m just trying to help.
Howdy Sasha— I don’t want to be a pain in the neck— however if making more money is the goal— why not consider starting up another endeavor. Do you know or have you met Walter Kirn? Have to say I never missed an episode of ATW— however MT wasn’t as consistent as a podcaster as he is a writer. Seems prudent to come up with a new name than ATW.
My point is I doubt I’m wrong it would sell like hotcakes. Matt Taibbi is flat out BAD ASS— however the new Racket pod is not quite right— March Madness podcast version?!!!! Hopefully they will find their legs. In the meantime— things are getting very interesting— circumstances which don’t have anything to do conspiracy clickbait.
Both SS and WK consistently lock in and drill down to the basics (laser focused)
2 cameras and mikes, a name and price and it would be off to the races.
Inspired brilliance! Sasha and Walter. What a wonderful pair! What an incredible show! No hype. No rage bait. 2 hours of thoughtful commentary. That would be absolutely delightful. That could fill the void created by America This Week’s demise.
Ironically, I just commented on Matt’s and Walter’s last posts immediately before finding this.
Sasha, I just unsubscribed from your Substack because I can read the posts on every device I own, but I can't respond in comments without verifying my email on any other device than my PC - which I seldom use.
Lately, Substack says they've sent a link to verify - but haven't. I try several times, but eventually give up. If I log in on the app to comment, a notice comes up that I am not a subscriber, but when I go to 'manage your account,' it says I am subscribed and shows my correct email.
I also love reading the reader comments. It gives me very real hope for the people of this country when I read so many intelligent, well-informed, kind, and faith-filled responses to Sasha’s posts.
These emails don't scale to the width of my reading/preview page. Most emails do. The result is the images and the text run off the page. Is there an easy fix on your side?

I for one am glad you suggested Sasha add that “CLICK TO SUBSCRIBE” button. It certainly would help and frankly, she’s worthy of the support.
You write well, the content is relevant, balanced, and consumable. It's preeminent worthwhile. Thank you.
