Yea, for some reason navigating subscription settings on Substack is confusing. I finally figured it out, but it took some doing. Updating credit card info, which happens when credit cards get renewed is particularly difficult. One strategy is to just leave in the old card and wait for a notice that the renewal bounced. I think those messages have a link where you can update your card.

It is more than confusing, it's downright horrible to navigate! I subscribe to several substacks, and it takes a long time to change/amend subscriptions and update or change cards. It's annoying. They could do a lot better.

Thanks for the affirmation. My husband was sure it was just my horrid tech skills… or lack thereof!

It's absurd that you cannot use the app to do this. I feel like that's part of the problem, people are trying via the app and cannot find it.

I think Substack is set up to make cancelling difficult so you won’t cancel!!

Ok so interesting development. My card went through even without correct security number or expiration date! Hmmmm...

It shouldn't be that convoluted, not your fault, Sasha.
