The fact that the the Nazi tatoo wasn’t a deal breaker at the outset, tells us all we need to know about the soulless, power at any cost Democrat party.

And from the same people who told us the OK sign and phrases like “It’s okay to be white” and “All lives matter” were infallible signs of Nazi racists. The SPLC and the ADL said so, and they’re the experts, right? The FBI, the NGOs, and tech giants went on a witch-hunt in the Biden years against anything they considered “hate speech.” Now they make excuses because of the huge authoritarian threat of… Susan Collins!

Someone on a Reddit forum posted a photo of a random guy on a motorcycle in rural flyover country wearing an SS t-shirt. This brought the typical outrage and calls for violence. I tried to, perhaps clumsily, contrast this to one of the bright stars of the Democratic party who openly, and proudly, displayed a Nazi tattoo. I noted that people, especially on the far Left, had little to say about Platner and engaged in plenty of hand-wringing when the topic of his tattoo was brought up.

Of course, I was rapidly down-voted.

The reaction to Trump's rise was to take the moral high ground ("In this house," et al.), but it has been a lie and nakedly hypocritical. I'm sick of it all.

He committed the ultimate sin in the eyes of the Democratic Party-not rape, not getting a Nazi tattoo. Slipping polls.

DMang's avatar

His pole was slipping in the wrong places at the wrong times apparently.

DavidK's avatar

This is precisely correct

Sherri Roach's avatar

And not supportive of our greatest ally. THAT'S what this is about. A little SA allegations didn't bother anyone about Biden. Or Clinton ....

NWCitizen's avatar

Platner had a scandal which resulted in slipping polls. Repubs don't care anything about candidates who sexually assault women; just look at Trump and Hegseth.

Hegseth also has questionable tattoos like a "Jerusalem cross" on his chest which is a christian symbol which has been adopted by extremist groups, including white supremacist movements. His arm tattoo "Deus Vult" is a Latin phrase meaning "God Wills It," and was a rallying cry for Christian crusaders in the Middle Ages, has also been adopted by white supremacists.

Hegseth has demonstrated his white supremacy by white washing the Pentagon database, some of which was restored after a public outcry. He has systematically removed high-ranking women and Black officers from military promotion lists.

say whatever you want. Trump is still president, Hegseth is still Sec. of War Dept. and Platner is still living under pondscum

Jen Todd's avatar

Trump took his accusations like a man, cowering to none of it. Platner is taking his accusations like an actual "pussy grabber".

NWCitizen's avatar

There is nothing manly about the giant toddler. First he apologized ("I said it, I was wrong, and I apologize") , then dismissed it as "locker room talk", deflected it by bringing up the sexual abuse allegations of Clinton (remember the debate where he brought accusers Juanita Broaddrick, Paula Jones, Kathleen Willey, and Kathy Shelton) and then denied all the allegations by multiple victims who came forward. Has he released the full Epstein tapes yet?

Erich Sielaff's avatar

You just revealed yourself to be the lying troll that you are. This is your reflexive position as a lefty. It used to just be to call us racist. Now you bring up Epstein. When you bring up Epstein you reveal yourself as the insufferable liar that you are.

Jen Todd's avatar

Denying and fighting against accusations that are untrue is manly. Cowering like a bitch with a nazi tattoo isn't. Platner is slinking away not because of #MeToo, they didn't give a shit, not because he's a white supremacist and fraud, he's slinking away because the money spigot has been turned off.

When you have no argument, trott out Epstein. Another flop that only embarrassed dems and their sleazy supporters.

NWCitizen's avatar

What did Trump do first? He was so desperate that he APOLOGIZED (the only time that has ever happened) admitting it was TRUE. Then he did other things to distract. Epstein and all his friends & followers are the sleaziest people ever.

Kevin Dolan's avatar

NWCitizen's avatar

Just pointing out the right's hypocrisy.

Erich Sielaff's avatar

Clearly you wouldn't know a hypocrite if you looked at one in the mirror. Get it? Now go play in the traffic.

NWCitizen's avatar

No, the right is incapable of recognizing hypocrisy.

Beth Nicolaides's avatar

Go be stupid somewhere else, Patrick.

Marsali S.'s avatar

Yeah, it’s all about Trump.

NWCitizen's avatar

Yes, it is as he has been busy making himself appear insane and the US look foolish on the world stage. After killing Iran's leaders en masse, last month he said of the new ones, “And we’re dealing with people that I think are very rational people. They were nice to deal with. They were strong people, smart people (his HIGHEST possible compliment). At the NATO summit he makes helpful comments likes, They’re scum, they’re sick people, they’re led by sick people, and they’re vicious, violent people." He Trump pointed to Zelenskyy and asked if reporters had any questions for “President Putin”, mentioned the "Islamic Republic of Japan" and started a stupid feuds with Italy & Spain.

Marsali S.'s avatar

You’re doing well proving my point. Carry on.

Steve Hoffman's avatar

JJoshua you nailed it. That is what struck me about Sasha's post. The problem with politics is that normal people won't get involved anymore. It is filled with abnormal people. Filled. I guess that's why the media won't "take these people down". They thrive on the abnormality.

Sherri Roach's avatar

They are all part of the club.

Brian M's avatar

Good point....Platner made it clear he would happily rape men who came into his home.

DMang's avatar

Yes, but as he said, NOT in a gay way. 🤔

You can’t perform a rape without your member being in an aroused state. So in his burglar rape scenario, he says it is not about being gay, but about overpowering and dominating/humiliating him. Clearly he is aroused by this power dynamic so he certainly would feel the same arousal (if not stronger) with a woman. This would lead me to believe every woman’s accusations against him, especially if he was drunk.

steven t koenig's avatar

I'm sorry, but if you can watch this man speak for 5 minutes, even without knowing all the dirt on him, and not be immediately repulsed, I simply don't know how to co-exist with you. You are retarded.

That's a note to my fellow Americans in general. Not anybody here.

Steven, try this one instead. It’s Eric Swalwell and Graham Platner saying nearly the exact same words (and exact same message) in the days before they both pulled out of D campaigns. D-playbook right here:

Okay, I made it two minutes into his video. He is disgusting. And if everything he says is true, a guy with real balls would just stay in the race and prove them to be corrupt and evil, as he says. Seems more likely he just really is a low-life scumbag. Good riddance

Susan Sulisz's avatar

As Fetterman commented, “the trash took itself out tonight.”

Juju's avatar

Well we have seen how the deep state finds women to falsely accuse of rape when they can’t get dirt on someone who is clean (E.J.Carrol) so it’s still possible he’s telling the truth and they really did have this in the chamber ready to go since they destigmatized his Nazi tat, and his gross online posting, AND his foray on a predatory site for younger kids and adults. They needed the rape cards and they had them lined up and ready to go.

Swalwell was easy because he was weak and a pig already, so they just had to collect his grotesque mistakes along the way in case they were ever needed - they were.

But I will never doubt their tenacity to fabricate an accusation when needed.

Still, even if he didn’t rape anyone all the other stuff about him is gross, deeply disturbing, and unworthy of leadership.

Does he also deny writing those sexual emails to other women while married to his wife? Gosh, What kind of fun things might he have done if he became the Gov? He needs to take responsibility for his own actions and realize that HE is the person responsible for his political demise.

C’mon Marilyn...take responsibility? Really? Who does that over there?

Juju's avatar

No he didn’t deny it. He simply said it made them stronger because they worked through it so well. 🙄

My take is that the Democratic Party has learned NOTHING since its manipulation of the 2024 election primary process, giving the nomination to Kamala Harris without a vote, and focusing on personality over policy to run the election. Bernie Sanders, Liz Warren, Chuck and Hakeem and all the other Congressional henchman, who ignored the post-election analysis of their 2024 election loss, are once again making all the same mistakes. The GOP should be thankful the Dems are giving them this present. Trump felt it was essential to engage a new war at just the wrong time, a few months before the mid-term elections, and is now stuck since the Iranian IRGC know the same thing and are playing Trump who is stuck. The RNC should send a big gift basket to the DNC tomorrow

Christopher B's avatar

I had a bit of a front row seat to the Democrat's Presidential primary process when I lived in Iowa, and IMO the only 'clean' primary the Democrats have run since 1976 was probably 1992 not counting re nominating Clinton and Obama or bowing to the inevitable in 2008. As soon as Carter stunk up the joint by losing to Reagan after a single term they started jacking with the caucus rules to make sure an outsider like Carter didn't do well. From there they progressed to stage-managing the entrance and exit of various candidates to clear the lane for the favored choice, culminating in adopting a nominee in 2024 who hadn't won a single primary vote over two election cycles.

PapayaSF's avatar

That sort of manipulation could work in the old days, but not with wokeness. When racial and gender “equity” are the standards, when masculinity is “toxic,” it culminates in politically correct DEI losers like Harris. She checked off the boxes for the DNC, and they thought they could sell her to voters, but she was a product manufactured for politics, not someone with an organic following.

Brian M's avatar

And now the Democrats are trying to manufacture "authentic" candidates. I mean, how dense can you get, not really understanding the term "authentic" and why people are attracted to that versus fake. For better or worse (Matt Gaetz, MTG) the GOP runs authentic people. I can't even think of one fake GOP Congressperson. You know who showed themselves to be fake on the right? Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens. Both will do anything for a click, just like Democrats

BeMac's avatar

I agree Brian...this guy Platner is so weird...who would vote for him?

And Elizabeth Warren's statement, "My kind of man" just further adds to her incredible, misguided, embarrassing persona that we all can see (except for voters in Massachusetts that is...who must be brain dead)

I'm surprised that the Dems can't find another female former armed services member to run...like Tammy Duckworth, Mikie Sherrill, Rebecca Bennett, Maggie Goodlander et all. The "armed services veteran" moniker gives them instant credibility and "authenticity".

Brian M's avatar

Military service is something, a starting point, but no guarantee of authenticity or good personal qualities and ethics. There are plenty of examples of military people who should have been discharged dishonorably and some might go into politics. I am here in AZ with Mark Kelly and Ruben Gallego. Neither are very remarkable in politics and lie for political advantage as much as most Dems But they did serve the country well when in service. One thing about Jimmy Carter, he was honest; I cannot say the same about most Dems today.

Mick's avatar
