YAY! I know how frustrating this can be. I was hacked off my FB in July 2023 and spent nearly a year unsuccessfully trying to get my account back. Hacked by crypto folks and you can't reach FB. That's by design because they have so much child sex trafficking, if you can't reach them, then you can't report bad stuff and they can have plausible deniability claiming they don't know.
Impossible to reach. Impossible to get thru to DA/FB. They made it impossible to reach them. I know. There's an entire group , over 10,000 folks like me, all trying to figure out how to get account back. I had to give up to care for dying brother. I lost contact w some key folks. But it's probably better for my mental health I didn't see what happened on FB after 10.7. Probably God protected me is what I'm thinking.
Who’d have ever thought the wunderkinds of Silicon Valley would turn out to be the real 21st Century fascists and gestapo all rolled into one … but sadly, it’s happened. We should have known that the power to delist, ban and otherwise throttle would be irresistible to the type. Power to silence one’s fellow woman corrupts absolutely doesn’t it?

I read something that, while saying something often enough doesn't make it true... there are those who if they hear something enough, it programs them to have that kind of mindset. It's like reverse 'deprogramming'. And it desensitizes. After all, if someone is 'like' Hitler, then shouldn't they be treated like Hitler?
One of the truest statements I ever heard was on a podcast with Konstantin and Andrew Doyle in which it was observed that "antisemitism is the center of the Venn diagram of everything that is politically extreme." (Paraphrasing)

I agree , when Facebook took off years ago I Refused to sign up for it. I had a lot of people tell me I was delusional because everybody was doing it.
But for now the most people are only allowing very close friends and family to be able to access their accounts.
I even had family members who were really upset with me but are now finally realizing That it is absolutely insane to let everybody know what you’re doing every day,What your favorite food is,What your politics are.
Obviously, I’m gonna show my age by telling people that I actually had to pay to keep my name out of the phonebook .
Laugh out loud lots of people won’t even know what I am talking about regarding a Phone book .
If people wanna stay on Facebook, all the power to them.But for me if these tech Giants wanna know my thoughts and habits, then they can pay me for that information.
But even more sinister, the government was doing jumping jacks by being able to track citizens thoughts .
Twitter/X sucks, sorry. The mysterious algorithm(s) rule all, "free speech" is an oxymoron, and the loudest (most hits) voices are the most extreme running the gamut from Marxists to Groypers. As with much of America, there is precious little sane and rational middle ground left.
Life is so much more pleasurable without the toxicity.
Good for you! I have appealed my two large essentially Twitter accounts (total around 6000 followers if I recall correctly), three times without response!
Though, the last time I checked, I think Twitter had something like 500 million tweets a day so kind of impossible to manage any complaints, at least without AI which seems to be only marginally better.
ICYMI, my open letter to Jack Dorsey and his minions at Twitter 1.0 -- doesn't look like Elon Musk, his minions, and Twitter 2.0 are much better:
I left FB and have not gone back when I realized that Facebook was censoring a Military Group I was in as their monitors were talking within our conversations to say what was true and what was not true. This meant that they were violating the 4th Amendment as their censors without a legal notification were invading our privacy without due notice. I will never go back to Facebook or Twitter which slowly deleted my followers which had grown over time to more than 5,000. Slowly my followers dwindled to below 2000 on twitter and that was when I deleted that account as well. It was all about helping Joe Biden become president as they censored and shadow-band folks. During the Obama administration...My Cell phone would ring often also and other military members who were veterans reported similar experiences with their phones as if I was being monitored from cell towers. I didn't think much about it, until it happened over and over again...The Bible say, "The Wicked Flee when no Pursues!" Dems can talk all day about Trump being Hitler and how ICE is Gestapo, but my cell phone has never been monitored with Trump as President and my email accounts have never bee tampered with as best I can tell with the current administration, Dems want one point of view and will Bully and intimidate anyone who disagrees with their voice. I will never vote for any Godless Immoral Democrat Candidate again, unless the last name is "Fetterman" or possibly "Ford." The rest you can stuff in the nearest trash can...Sigh

Again, I often feel you should just pull the plug entirely there, without warning. It's what the haters there deserve. Send a note to Focus Features thanking them for the support, but that the site has just become to toxic to continue with.
