It would be great if John Oliver was denaturalized. He hates this country anyway. He can take his millions, sail across the pond and go spoon with the Oxford Union vulture.
Thanks Sasha for telling it like it is, as always. Love your content.
And that was an excellent clip Suzie. Wish it was actually what DID happen. I’m betting Gutfeld! does a doozy of a segment on his late night show about it (the only late night show worth watching, we record it here in Australia & watch at our leisure). He is always trashing The View for one reason or another, rightly so - those awful women should be canned they spread nothing but nonsensical vitriol and lies and the dumb clucks who clap and cheer need some serious therapy.
“Frankly my dear, I don’t care”. The MSM is complicit with the Democrats and other actors like our school system, to over 50 years of indoctrinating about half of our country. This is a mild step to bring back sanity. Maybe there is something to “pigs get fat and hogs get slaughtered”.
One thing for the public and the network to take him down, another for the government to pressure them to do so under spurious pretexts. Then again it's hard to see that airing Jimmy Kimmel's views is serving the public interest, unless the ABC is representing a suitable range of diverse views besides his.
Yes. I remember a time when channels were under pressure to present opposing views. And K-12 teachers concealed their political views because they were hired to teach math/English/music, not indoctrinate the children.
Maybe all of us should stop acting like the "only child", and relearn how to share this country with each other.
Jimmy stepping in it just provided a pretext for what ABC likely wanted to do anyway. Losing program clearance in all the Nexstar markets (with other chain broadcast owners likely to follow suit) just gave ABC an inescapable revenue reason to kill the show. Disney has several losers in its portfolio that its employees will protest the removal of. Remember when Disney's employees got up in arms over Florida's school issues? This is different. When an affiliate broadcast group says "nope" the protests just won't work.
For anyone interested, see The New York Post article today about how many right leaning guests Kimmel had on his show—I think the answer is one. Interesting article and free to access.
I don't feel that networks MUST "serve the public interest", but if they are to be considered "good corporate citizens", they do have some responsibility to be fair, even and not consistently offensive. Late night shows used to be funny, but Jon Stewart, Colbert and Kimmel particularly morphed them into nonstop DNC campaign ads in the most vile and offensive terms possible. I don't know who their writers are, but they are simply not funny. As (I think it was Sasha) someone much smarter than me wrote earlier this week, the saddest part of this whole mess is that these "comedians" and their sycophantic following cannot even comprehend why their schtick is offensive to more than half of the country. They must be so horribly triggered and offended by Trump and his loud mouth that they feel that ANYTHING is OK coming back at conservatives.
Per the FCC regulations, broadcast networks have an obligation to serve the public interest, including representing a diversity of views that reflects the population they serve.
It SHOULD, but unfortunately, I don't think it will. ABC needs one echo chamber to keep as their cash cow, and for how long The View has been on air, it doesn't sound that simple, despite its obvious intentions.
Nor Colbert, Kimmel or the View none of them have a bodycount. Yes they can be toxic, vulgar but I see the same from Megyn Kelly and Gutfeld its mutual destruction and if everyone if lightning in the mud I stopped giving a fuck.
They aren't the same. The View has told so many blatant lies, all their noses should be long enough so they could operate the cameras that are pointed at them.
Gutfeld has never (as far as I've seen) had their legal team step in during a taping to make Greg read a disclaimer. But, I've seen it multiple times on the View, in the last year alone, and usually it's Sunny who has to read it, and her pain and ridiculous hair extensions are there for God and everyone to see. The two shows are not the same. One of them pretends to be serious and has underserved influence - along with a massive investment in Ozempic, Wegovy and regular corrective training in the the Pit of Despair for the fake Conservatives on the show to keep them in line. The other other is overtly a late night comedy show that speaks truth and dismantles lie after lie on a cheap budget with much greater - and earned - influence.
Because Fox does not care ABC however is pathetic and wormy. By the way Gutfeld isn't truth just spite propaganda and he even admits the shows narrative is to own and hate the left.
But it’s not the show it once was. It needs a sweep clean or binned, either way it’s stomach churning and I only see what other shows air as a topic of discussion. I used to watch it while I packed orders (I was an Avon lady for 11 years out of necessity- “blend, blend, blend”)and stopped watching about 15 years ago, when Barbara Walters ran the dialogue. Even Trump used to go on it, can you imagine that today! Ha!
I can’t help but think USAID is involved. Or was. One after another high priced help gets fired. They were losing money year after year and still they weren’t fired. I suspect we will see USAID was funding these networks. Now those dollars are gone who pays? The network. So they fire them first chance.
They do buy a ton of ads. But people can’t wander to the drugstore and buy their product. Buying doctor would be money better spent. But then there would be no reason for the networks to hide the bad data for them.
I agree... good riddance! I never understood why Jimmy Kimmel had an audience. He is the definition of a$$hole. He has no good words to say to anyone. He stirs the pot dividing the country and pitting people against one another for his so-called laughs. I believe deeply in karma. This is a very good example
...and perhaps above all, Kimmel is a hypocrite. Check out his old 'The Man Show' episodes. The pondscum who embraces all forms of wokeness now for the sake of virtue signaling used to close all of his shows with slow motion video of scantily-dressed women jumping on trampolines - misogyny on steroids.
He and Adam Carolla made bank and their names off that production. Was he always just a shill? No issue with that, play to who pays you, but it clearly has run its course
Seems like he's simply found religion. Doesn't necessarily make him a hypocrite to be converted to the Replacement Ideology, as ugly a religion as it is. He probably truly believes he is a better person than he was, as he believes he is a much better person than at least half the country. :-/
Unfortunately, you can never force people to change their minds. All we can do is to continue to counter their lies with facts, illuminate that their idols care only about power and point out their hypocrisy. Tulsi Gabbard should end up on Mt. Rushmore for exposing much of the rot. It may take some indictments and convictions to bring enough sunlight on the evidence to sway most liberals - but the truth will win out in the end. If we still have a country..........
I did not say that all Democrats are evil and I don't believe that. But Obama pulled the Democrat party far left from what it had been for most of my life (I voted Democrat from the time I could vote - back in 1978 or so - till 7 years ago). I voted for Obama twice in fact. But those on the far left are in control of the party now, and many of them are saying truly evil things about the murder of Charlie Kirk. I have no idea who God is going to strike down. God bless you.
It's that "of citizens polled" that makes such a statement dubious. And who said anything about God striking people down? We do it to ourselves. And He lets us.
This doesn't look like Kimmel was canned. It just looks like one group that owns a bunch of stations decided not to carry his show anymore. Not sure how many channels that affects (i.e. how big of a loss of audience), but it's a start. I'm done with these people trying to justify or "but the left/right" this whole thing. They jumped right past the part when a man was murdered in front of his wife and small children, and then they try to justify or explain it. I have no use for people like that. They didn't kill him because he was a "Nazi", they called him a "Nazi" because they wanted to kill him.
Per Jeff Childers' C&C stack: "That is a false debate, and I suspect it was ginned up by left-wingers trying to 'help' conservative conversations. The problem is the evidence does not at all show Carr’s threats led to Kimmel’s cancellation.
"Let me explain it like I would to someone who voluntarily lives in Portland. First of all, Brendan Carr never threatened to take any specific government action. He just said it would create 'more work' for the F.C.C. You can easily find an implied threat there, but he never explicitly threatened to take any particular enforcement action. . . .
"Second, ABC profits from government largesse. Unlike cable channels, podcasts, streamers, bloggers, or random online disinformers, ABC and its affiliates enjoy the use of the public broadcast spectrum, which is regulated by the F.C.C. Any networks enjoying public spectrum use are legally required to broadcast 'in the public interest.' Over the years, the F.C.C. has regulated the 'public interest' in various ways that courts have found non-objectionable.
"So that’s the deal. The networks know they are regulated entities. That’s the business model."
Well, that was fast. Apparently in reaction to this media group making the decision to drop him, Disney decided to drop him. The FCC had noticed Kimmel's comments. Matt Taibbi has a piece on it...
I don't mind Kimmel's employers dropping him but I am very uncomfortable with the government, the FCC, defining what's in the "public good" and implying threat or pressure to lose livelihood if they don't fire folks who cross some line that's not defamation or libel. Didn't we just live through the days where speaking out against the jab was considered against the "public good" and people lost jobs for it? Do we really want a conservative's "Ministry of Truth"?
Let me be perfectly clear here- I hate all of these motherfuckers. And I SOOOO want retribution, cancellation, revenge for all of the shit that they have put us through. And there are arguments for this tact. But I think you are correct. Remember Westboro Baptist Church? When I was less traumatized back in the day, I stood up for their rights to be pieces of shit. Thanks for the reminder.
Ohh good. I couldn’t stand that smug garbage show. I remember how many late night shows; Fallon, Seth M, T Noah were given a narrative telling “jokes” about Julian Assange while he was illegally kidnapped from political sovereign territory of the embassy by the U.S./UK , deprived a shaving kit (to appear more the “shady hacker). My liberal relatives were mindlessly repeating the narrative. I never heard those “comics” apologize. Idk even know if they realize what they did. The “useful idiots” of power.
I wonder how many John Bolgers there are in the world and if there is any chance that this is my old friend from Dean and Deluca. We were all lefties back then but I can imagine him loving Assange and being disgusted by the useful idiots.
I was just thinking about how many people those words had to go through before he said them. How many???? No one saw the news? No one bothered to look into the trial? It just defies all sense. I can't believe how obsessed with these people I used to be, how they all just always looked like they were having a good time. What a pathetic way to age.
Charlie Kirk had more integrity and love in his little finger than all of them together have in their whole souls.
I know quite a few "I believe anything and everything the most extreme and loud voices on the left say" liberals. They spent most of Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday pointing out how Tyler HAD TO BE MAGA because he grew up in Utah, has Republican parents, is ..... you know, WHITE and grew up in a religious family. Not one of them has now said "oops - I or the idiots who were pushing that crap without knowing anything more were wrong". It's the knee-jerk reaction from the entire left and the lemmings who subscribe - all evil acts must have been committed by far-right white Christian nationalist nazi fascist racist misogynists. It's sick. They really believe this. That's why Kimmel and his 10 no-talent writers all felt they were right. That is the saddest part of all of this. They believe it's OK to celebrate a political assassination if the victim said some mean things.
I'm amazed and confused every single day when I see so very many of them are older male and especially female white ladies. I promise I can't understand it. I lost my mom when she was only 51 but she was never like that. These are women that could actually be my mom. It’s just baffling. What other teenage kids to young adults do they know in their lives? When in all of history have kids that age agreed with their parents on almost anything? Of course he wouldn't be MAGA. Or the odds wouldn't be great, especially as Kirk was not hated by anyone on that side.
I hate to say it in his defense, but canceling a comedian because he said something "insensitive and offensive" (and absurdly wrong both factually and morally) is still but 6a good precedent for the Right to follow.
Absolutely, we can hold professionals like teachers, doctors, etc to neutral standards like not discriminating on race (white), religion (Christian), and not publicly endorsing violent or criminal acts (murder), that's violations of their terms of employment, but being offensive isn't against any professional standard of comedy, it's frankly often a requirement of comedy. I agree that what Kimmel said was bad, but Charlie himself rejected this kind of cancellation over offensive speech, so I'm concerned that we dishonor his memory if we use his death as an excuse to act in ways that violate his principles. Let Kimmel make an ass out of himself on TV and let the rest of the world see exactly what kind of man he and his audience are. Let him be a disgrace to his side... But don't let him provoke us into disgracing ours too.
He probably wanted out anyway, and that is why he made his monologue. Once they cancel his contract, he can go off on his own with his own show on the internet.
Steven, what you don't understand is that for TWO DECADES the left controlled everything. The media, the internet, academia where you were a leper where you were afraid to say what you thought, if you did you lived in fear (job, friends, etc. etc.)
And now you want to be fair. That's humorous. Honestly you were complicit all along and in some small way now you're kind of apologetic. You really don't get where the left was at and how they manipulated everything. YES the 2020 election was stolen. Do yourself a favor and read what Tulsi has released. Do that before you post any more of your anal shit. I think you need to revisit the way you view things. Seriously.
It's been more than two decades, I'm old enough to remember watching it happen from personal experience, and yes the 2020 election was probably stolen. And? You're clearly unfamiliar with me or my comment history regarding Free Speech issues and leftist censorship and arguing at FIRE that university professors CAN and SHOULD be fired for comments celebrating a murder on campus. None of which changes the fact that two wrong don't make a right. This isn't what Charlie believed in and we can't claim his name or his death to be doing exactly what he argued AGAINST. We do need to be better than the Left, not disarmed, not passive, not weak, but better. Gifford's posing with a severed Trump head was a firing worthy offense because it celebrated and encouraged an assassination... Kimmel just blaming the wrong side and making light of people's grief doesn't rise to that level.
We have plenty of completely valid targets for legitimate complaints under existing law and employment agreements, let's not repeat the mistakes of the Left by indiscriminately overreaching. "I disagree with you, but I can't persuade you or legally silence you, so I'm going to remove you an illegal way" is how the assassin thought, not how Charlie thought. Consider carefully which of those two men we should emulate going forward.
Steven, I get you. I don't want to get into the mud with them, either. I was enraged and horrified and devastated by Kirk's assassination but I can't bring myself to cheer for revenge. Consequences, yes. Revenge, no.
Okay, but the left does NOT take responsibility. As a result they've suffered NO consequences. Again, like steven, you don not get the severity of what they've done when they were in complete control. Hence, call it what you want. No time for intellectual diatraub.
You're right, they don't take responsibility. They never do. I absolutely understand the severity of what they've done. I spent the last 5 years since Covid angry. I think our anger is righteous but I will not be a part of the revenge.
An employer has the right to fire an employee they don’t think is representing their company appropriately. The local affiliates raised a ruckus and ABC had to pay attention. It is that simple. This is not a first amendment issue. As a private citizen he has the right to say whatever he chooses, no matter how mendacious or foolish. None of us could enter our workplaces and start a political rally without consequences.
I’m sure his poor ratings helped to expedite his exit, but they had the right to do what they did regardless.
An employer certainly has the Freedom of Association to attempt, within the limitations of their contract, to end their business relationships with someone over any reason not otherwise legally prohibited. OTOH, when you say "local affiliates raised a ruckus" you're leaving out a lot of important context that actually does impinge on the 1st Amendment because the government did apparently precipitate that 'ruckus' with a blatant and unconstitutional threat.
Following Kimmel's monologue and before the 'ruckus', Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chair Brendan Carr warned ABC and its parent company, Disney, that they could "do this the easy way or the hard way." He clarified that the "easy way" would be for the companies to "change conduct and take action on Kimmel," while the "hard way" would be "additional work for the FCC". Carr further suggested the FCC could target ABC by looking into revoking the licenses of its affiliate stations, which must operate in the "public interest" to renew their broadcasting licenses. He also suggested that stations that dislike the FCC's push for "public interest obligation" can turn in their license.
Following Carr's statement, ABC pulled Jimmy Kimmel Live! off the air indefinitely. It also followed the decision of affiliate groups, such as Nexstar and Sinclair, to preempt the show from their local stations. It is additionally worth noting that Nextstar, which led the preempting, currently has a proposed merger requiring approval by the FCC.
So YES it very much IS a First Amendment issue when a sitting government official makes a threat that sounds more like a mob boss to arbitrarily shut down any licensed broadcaster that airs something he dislikes under the vague non-standard of 'public interest'. That's downright Orwellian. A week ago I would have argued that the Right is opposed to instituting a government 'Ministry of Truth' or 'Department of Propaganda', but that's effectively what we'd be doing if the FCC starts revoking broadcast licenses over bad jokes!
And Yes, I KNOW the Left already did EXACTLY this kind of thing repeatedly, and we fought them in court and media over it. That isn't a good excuse for us to become hypocrites and engage in the same illegal overreach they did. It's one thing to just tune out until the station owners respond rationally to falling viewership, it's a VERY different thing to use the FCC to illegally coerce them over protected speech.
Thank you lefties for showing just who you are - LARPing 'revolutionaries' that want to use violence – just like the Ναζις – and then lying about it when you get called on it.
Disgusted ex-Democrats registering Republican after Charlie Kirk murder: ‘Evil is walking amongst us’
YES! YES! YES! Now If ABC Really Wants To Make A Ballsy Move, They Will Find A Way To Sign Greg Gutfeld To A Billion Dollar Deal And Give HIM That 11:30 Time Slot. That Would Be Oh So Sweet And A Great Business Decision,Too. Stay Tuned...
THE VIEW should be next.
It would be great if John Oliver was denaturalized. He hates this country anyway. He can take his millions, sail across the pond and go spoon with the Oxford Union vulture.
Speaking of the View, hers a comedian who superimposed himself on that show, and he totally nails them!

And the First Amendment matters.
The polarisation of channels that began in the 80s has caused huge damage to both left and right

Cash cow and its no worse than Gutfeld with the rhetoric Jimmy Kimmel I suspected was losing money.
There's not a rising body count associated with Gutfeld or any other right-of-center commentator.
He just went on a pretty epic tirade at Tarlov about the useless dishonesty of equivocation. You might find it enlightening if you hunt up the clip.
Nor Colbert, Kimmel or the View none of them have a bodycount. Yes they can be toxic, vulgar but I see the same from Megyn Kelly and Gutfeld its mutual destruction and if everyone if lightning in the mud I stopped giving a fuck.

I'll bet Big Pharma pumps the most dollars into the dying fake news legacy media.
Not to advertise in the conventional sense. But to buy off their news departments from pursuing anti pharma stories.
Not to nitpick, but I'm sure they both buy a ton of ads and give dark money to them also to influence news stories.
They do buy a ton of ads. But people can’t wander to the drugstore and buy their product. Buying doctor would be money better spent. But then there would be no reason for the networks to hide the bad data for them.
Maybe the most evil collection of humans to have a TV show. And the lowest IQ. If you combined their IQ's it wouldn't exceed 200.
So if the View wants to play the clown and make fools of themselves, what exactly does the Right gain by preventing that?
Let them caper act the victim and believe six impossible things before breakfast.
I want normies to see that.
HALF OF Trump's supporters were sent to the Right by the purity spiral of their "friends" on the Left.
Yes.
So cancel culture is acceptable as long as it's a side you disagree with?
Apparently they did not say a word about Kimmel’s firing. Perhaps they got a message.
I agree... good riddance! I never understood why Jimmy Kimmel had an audience. He is the definition of a$$hole. He has no good words to say to anyone. He stirs the pot dividing the country and pitting people against one another for his so-called laughs. I believe deeply in karma. This is a very good example
His schtick wasn’t comedy, it was mean spirited partisan vitriol served up to his trained clapping-like-seal’s audience.

he should have stuck with the jugeez. at least he was likeable.
Excellent insight. People in the audience laugh because they are trained to do so. Invasion of the Body Snatchers 2.0.
I fully support asshats like Kimmel to show the world what asshats they are, in their own words. This is the essence of 1A.
Matt Walsh is right when he says that now is the time to vanquish this leftist insanity in its entirety. Let's keep the pressure on.
Unfortunately, you can never force people to change their minds. All we can do is to continue to counter their lies with facts, illuminate that their idols care only about power and point out their hypocrisy. Tulsi Gabbard should end up on Mt. The consequences of saying stupid things are snowballing for the Party of Obama.
Not just stupid... evil.
So, you think all of us Democrats are evil. Huh?
Less than 1/2 citizens polled are GOP. That leaves a lot of evil people in the world.
~I guess God is going to strike down over half of his children on earth. Sad. 😢
I did not say that all Democrats are evil and I don't believe that. But Obama pulled the Democrat party far left from what it had been for most of my life (I voted Democrat from the time I could vote - back in 1978 or so - till 7 years ago). Help us out, is there a Democrat who doesn't call Republicans fascists?
Is there one who is in favor of lower taxes?
Is there one who is in favor of closing the border?
Is there one who is in favor of women competing against women only in sports?
Is there one who call out Newsome for facilitating the LA fires?
Is there one who gives Trump credit for any good he does?
Easiest question I've been able to answer all year. NO
For me personally, the terms 'democrat' and 'republican' are irrelevant now. All I can think of is 'stupid' vs. 'less stupid.'
It's that "of citizens polled" that makes such a statement dubious. And who said anything about God striking people down? We do it to ourselves. And He lets us.

Agreed. This happened so fast, that I'm actually wondering if Disney made their decision before Carr made his statement. ..
Agree with you 100% on that
I’m from a little town in upstate NY. So, not sure. Class of 87’. But yes, correct on the rest of it! Came outta the left
This is an overlooked point. Kimmel was just the messenger, there are about a dozen people that sign off on every single word he says.
Kimmel got canned because of his ratings. If his numbers were good he’d still have a show.
He probably wanted out anyway, and that is why he made his monologue. Once they cancel his contract, he can go off on his own with his own show on the internet.
He was gonna be shitcanned anyway. Now he can be a “First Amendment” hero.
Thank you, Steven. This is a very good word. We need to be ever so careful to stay true to the principals Charlie worked so very hard to follow.
Thank you lefties for showing just who you are - LARPing 'revolutionaries' that want to use violence – just like the Ναζις – and then lying about it when you get called on it.
Disgusted ex-Democrats registering Republican after Charlie Kirk murder: ‘Evil is walking amongst us’
https://nypost.com/2025/09/16/us-news/democrats-switch-to-republican-after-charlie-kirk-assassination/
I just did.
A Court Jester would be funny. Colbert and Kimmel were just Court Propagandists, pushing a doctrine that is no more respectable than Divine Right.
YES! YES!
Can one play an Uno Reverse card and then play Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals, specifically "Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules"?
Asking for a friend.
The endgame of cancel culture is not cowering conservatives. It is Mutually Assured Destruction.
"Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules"?
That's exactly what I said to my husband this evening.
Absolutely fantastic news.
Yeah, well, at least crappy little Jimmy knows he will get an Emmy now…
Can he get a Pulitzer? I'm sure he has written or will write a book.......
