"Splash back like toilet water" made me laugh out loud.

My brother attended that church in St. Paul today to check it out. Full house. Lots of security and a sign saying, "No journalists." As if Lemon is an actual journalist.

Jeff Keener's avatar

If Trump would just rename the agency and call it "National Immigration and Customs Enforcement" (NICE), every time the Jackassery refers to them, they'd have to call them "NICE agents" and the whistle-moms would have to wave signs saying "No NICE!" and put out lawn signs saying "There is no room for NICE in this house".

madaboutmd's avatar

Credit to Adam Corolla who came up with NICE!

Yah, that would work better, but trump doesn’t seem to give a shit about anything nice. I mean he and his sons are suing the country he’s currently leading for billions.

James David's avatar

No matter what it takes.

Your moniker implies you're from UK. No one in UK or Europe, for that matter, knows what true free speech is. Also your second rate countries are all going down the tubes due to population loss and catering to immigrants instead of having your own children to continue your countries' cultures. Too bad.

Hebrides' Eilidh NicDhòmhnaill's avatar

I partly agree. I was born not too far from the birthplace of Donald Trump’s mother, but like them (aka immigrants, but lily white and pure as the driven snow, thankfully!) made my way to America, although that’s where we part similiarities. I’m not a grifter, although the stock market, real estate, hard work and careful spending have made me rich. I am also not suing everyone in site blocking my path to Russian oligarch ever higher riches, including mother (aka, America’s purse) for billions while leading her! Trump even said he would sue Trevor Noah for reminding us about Trump’s being part of the swamp (aka Epstein) when maga elected him to drain it. It is all dizzying, isn’t it. ICE distraction from Epstein, then more Epstein file releases with Trump all over them to distract from ICE. Who knows what’s around the corner, but never a dull moment.

It was a stunt by Lemon to revive his failing career, and it seems to have worked. After all, it's so stunning and brave of Lemon to frighten churchgoers and their kids.

Pam Humphrey's avatar

it literally makes me sick to my stomach

Lemon is a presstitute. Someone else came up with that term during Covid, but it fits Lemon perfectly.

Hello, Blair. Good to see you here.

Don Lemon and Jennifer Welch. The two ugliest women on earth.

Way too kind of you.

James David's avatar

And here's hoping cancerous uterus is how that feminazi ends up.

BTW it is time to stop being the better man. We can resume that sort of tolerance when the commies are destroyed.

Sasha, what kills me is the men in the church who were quiet. If my friends or I were there, we would have responded to the threat by throwing Don Lemon and the others out on their butts. Not to mention that there always needs to be someone who is "carrying" at a church or synagogue. This is an insult to the men of our age.

B Smith's avatar

Maybe you’re right. But the Minnesota cops would have arrested the church members. And the state prosecutors who cannot be bothered with real crime would have sprung to life to bring charges.

Maybe it would have been worth enduring show trials, but it’s a close call.

Orwell’s Rabbit's avatar

Also, since that nasty screaming man kept accusing them of being “fake Christians“, I think the fact that they held their tempers (rather than responding with the nastiness of their accuser) was very Christian of them.

Madjack's avatar

Real Christian men defend women and children with their lives. This situation called for a direct physical response.

Pamela Christiansen's avatar

They would have been arrested and jailed without bail by a progressive Minnesota judge. How would a man’s wife and children endure that? He would lose his job, because it’s Minnesota. The media would have sided with the agitator victims even more than they are now.

I can’t stress enough, the state is Completely controlled by progressives.

Brian's avatar

Maybe, but they probably realized that then the whole event would’ve been spun as church guys attacking protesters and it would also be a race thing.

steven t koenig's avatar

That's the bigger tragedy. No men stepped up to be real men

Matt L.'s avatar
18hEdited

No, they were in a house of worship to the Most High King. And their hearts were in a posture of goodness and mercy. Those particular men don’t need to stoop to that same low level and risk bad behavior before their God and fellow congregants. Better to turn the other cheek in this instance and allow the sore thumbs to stick out.

Madjack's avatar

Turning the other cheek refers to personal physical assault and contempt towards you. You have every right to defend women and children and are called to sacrifice your life for them.

Steve G's avatar

A man should have knotted the cords and driven them out for defiling Gods house.

steven t koenig's avatar

And that's why the bad guys are winning. Man up. Give no mercy to the assholes that break laws

Matt L.'s avatar
17hEdited

No, you hire security or if your parish can’t afford, call the cops. No reason to put oneself in danger for protesting knuckleheads. I’m unsure if you are a regular churchgoer, steven? I am, and we strive for our behavior and examples in times of trial to be modeled after Jesus Christ, not Chuck Norris.

Blessed are the peacemakers. If you want to meditate on the rest of the Beatitudes you’ll find them in the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 5. They are the prelude to the Sermon on the Mount.

Pamela Christiansen's avatar

Calling the cops would likely have resulted in church members being arrested. Remember, this is the Twin Cities. It was a Minneapolis Catholic school where a trans shooter killed 2 little kids. Prior to the killings. Catholic bishops had asked Walz for more security and Walz refused. After the killing of these children, Walz and company jumped to the defense of the trans community and of course, blamed the gun.

Pam Humphrey's avatar

i had forgotten that shooting was in minneapolis

steven t koenig's avatar

We have very different views on how humans should behave. Mine has about 30,000 years of success. Yours is a brand new idea that doesn't take that history into account.

Matt L.'s avatar
17hEdited

2K years of success is enough for me, and the house of worship invaded is a Christian one. So let’s stay on topic of beliefs of those who were transgressed. I’m not against justice in any way. It just doesn’t need to be those in a house of worship to flex in the way you describe, to administer it. Lemon and that crew are going to get their just deserts.

They really need to have a metal detector at each entrance that is not locked, and also someone there to screen who is entering, for the safety of those inside. Unfortunately, that is becoming a necessity these days.

Bobby Lime's avatar

My pastor is tight lipped about it, but acknowledges that at each service our church has, there is at least one man present, probably a deacon, who has a concealed carry permit and a concealed handgun. It is becoming a necessity these days, more's the pity.

Cat C.'s avatar

Men of our age have been vilified, treated as unimportant (just sperm donors), ridiculed and hated. SO this doesn't surprise me. I wish they quoted scripture to get that idiot screaming demon to shut up. BYW, recent Brit TV show called "Father Brown" had a whole 55 min. episode about a young mother of twins, "out of wedlock" and the show centered on her keeping the babies or not??? and NOT ONE TIME, for the whole show, was the word "father" uttered or mentioned! No "Has the father seen the babies?", "Does the father want to help raise them?", etc. NO ONE TIME. This was on PURPOSE.

mrdoug1's avatar

I’ve seen Father Brown a few times with my 96 year old mother. Barely tolerable, bad, wooden acting.

fuzzi's avatar

It's Minneapolis/St. Paul, not a rural church in a red state. Men are different there.

Christine Jones's avatar

Sorry, Squeeze, but that was Minnesota, not Texas. I used to live in Minnesota, and now in Texas. Those men up there are soft. Sorry to make such a gross generalization, but if it walks like a duck . . . . I was not surprised in the least.

James David's avatar

If they are soft... They are not men.

SuezCanal's avatar

Which is why many have pointed out that if these fools had stormed a black church, there would have been a far different outcome.

Anon E. Mousse's avatar

Perhaps so. I try not to judge when people are in shock.

James David's avatar

This is why they - and we - should all be packing. They should have turned that crowd of rioters into swiss cheese.

No need to throw them anywhere. Open fire.

Figure it out people. This ends violently. There is no other way. We cannot tolerate turds in our midst.

James David, as a lifelong conservative, no to everything you state. Also, I would very kindly ask you leave the N word back in the 1960’s (you used it below). It’s just not necessary to label Mr. Lemon this pejorative race term, and I think most of us here don’t need to see it in print. I’ve followed Sasha for many years now and don’t recall language you use being part of the discourse. Cheers.

None's avatar

I blocked this guy. Best way to handle him.

James David's avatar

Go fuck yourself. You are the kind of idiot that will ruin us and put the enemy in power. It is obvious you are a coward, not a conservative. Hiding behind "principles" is an abdication.

You won't call shit like queer nigger Lemon shit. The republic has no need for you David French types.

If he hasn't done it yet, Lemon needs to take a page from the Kimmel playbook, and cry like a little girl online and/or on TV. That will really put him over the top.

Kidbuck's avatar

Don LEMON is a complete and utter IDIOT. He can go FH. 😲

Indrek Sarapuu's avatar

He may well cry with jimmy tomorrow night.

I won't watch, but look forward to Tuesday...

Skenny's avatar

Same. They will probably hug and cry at the same time.

NNTX's avatar

That would be “on brand” for him.

For Lemon, Kimmel and the rest of the Leftists all is performance art. No wonder they term everything a “narrative”.

Enemies of truth all.

Jeff Keener's avatar

Something that should be considered is that the church could sue Lemon and co-conspirators in civil court for damages and conspiracy against rights under the same Klan Act.

Tim Larson's avatar

And I hope that they will!!!

Libertarian's avatar

Donnie boy better not try that in an Irish Catholic Church.

Madjack's avatar

Saw a reel from a black man saying the same about a black church

Craig Watkins's avatar

Yeah, he’d get his ass kicked.

PapayaSF's avatar

Democrats are headed for another train wreck with this. Centrists and even some on the left will agree Lemon was a participant in depriving people of their constitutional right to worship, and plainly violated federal law. Most people dislike disruptive behavior. Once again, Democrats and the left coalesce around the 20% position, with no hope of convincing the majority.

Suzanne-Marie English's avatar

I hope you’re correct.

JT's avatar

Both Kimmel and Lemon are at that point in their lives where they are so desperate that they must latch on to anything they can that might move the needle in their direction. Hating Trump still plays well in many quarters.

Marilyn's avatar

You would think that after many years of getting million dollar salaries for running their mouths, they would have plenty of money for times when they don't have a job. But i guess "easy come, easy go" applies here.

Roberta L's avatar

It's not the money, it's the attention.

Neural Foundry's avatar

Great breakdown of the martyrdom playbook. The part about kids crying in that church while Lemon gets standing ovations is wild - its like we've totally normalized performative activism over actual consequences. Saw similar stuff covering local protests back in 2020 where the narrative always overwrote what actualy happened on the ground.

mrdoug1's avatar

They haven’t just “normalized” it. They’ve elevated it to a virtue.

Roger Pressman's avatar

The most interesting part of this is that dumb-as-a-rock Don Lemon is now a “hero” of the Left. He joins TdA and MS-13 gang members, child rapists, Hamas “freedom fighters,” antifa thugs, and many others in the Left’s pantheon of heroes of the resistance. You can learn a lot about an ideology by examining who they choose as heroes.

Marilyn's avatar

You missed their hero, abusive drug addict George Floyd.

mrdoug1's avatar

Floyd & Obama are their deities.

JJMom's avatar

How did I only just learn about you @Sasha? I'm a little suspicious about former lefties (even though I am one. But see also: Candace Owens). But Ima give you a chance! Man you have a way of nailing it in a way I don't see often!

TheUnderToad's avatar

No one can cover this stuff the way you do, Sasha. You have the perspective of someone who has been to the after parties, and suffered through the kind of bloviating the Hollywood elites do in private, all while congratulating each other on one another's genius and achievements. It's a lot to have had to have lived/listened through, tbh.

Headsup's avatar

One word….disgusting. This IS the left. Look closely and follow closely.

Tom Potts's avatar

Mr Lemon, what will you do on the Day of the Lord when hysterical rants don’t matter anymore? On that day all human beings will face their only Judge, King Jesus , to describe what they did with their lives.

Brian's avatar

He’ll be screaming, no kings!

Steenroid's avatar

Tom Potts's avatar

Tim Larson's avatar

Our founding fathers made freedom of (or from) religion a cornerstone of our country. The freedom to worship in peace as one wishes was attacked by Don Lemon and his followers, and an unsuspecting congregation of good people had their Sunday prayers canceled!

How have we come so far so fast into this mess where groups are taught to hate each other, and the police are vilified for doing the job they are sworn and paid to do? This is not my America and I hope that a great leader or leaders will come forward to restore law and order, and the rights so many of us have lost!

THE evidence continues to mount that we are facing a faceless group of evil people who are trying to divide us into two camps, and are investing hundreds of millions of their own dollars to overturn our common beliefs. Stand up with me and make your voice count. We need brave citizens who are willing to sacrifice their comfortable lives for the good of the Nation!

Heroes and heroic actions are what created the only country in the world where everyone is guaranteed a chance at life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness!
