Genocide is trying to kill all of a "kin" (which is cognate with "gen"). If the Israelis had wanted to do that, the body count would be exponentially higher than it actually is.
Insurrection is denying the authority of the government. If the "mostly peaceful" Jan 6ers denied the authority of the government, they could have acted on Jan 5 or 7. By acting on Jan 6, they were trying to work within the authority of the government.
David, if I'm understanding you correctly, you're saying that Israel is NOT committing genocide in Gaza, because if they were, they'd be killing more people faster? Really? How evil ARE you? How unaware? How naive? How poorly educated? Because YES, what Israel is doing in Gaza DOES meet international standards for genocide. The top Nazis were monsters and summary execution would have been OK by me. Hitler, Himmler, Goebbels and others saved the allies the trouble by offing themselves. But judicializing victors' justice has caused all sorts of problems to this very day. It has gotten so ridiculous that non-victory has been judicialized as with the indictment of Putin. We chatted about my change (during the Clinton years) and hers (within the last few months)… everything was on the table- fraud, Bass, buying votes on Skid Row, Trump, socialism etc. This is a blue haired 70 something artist…. She is appalled and awake. There is hope!!
