One can have sympathy on a human level for Massie’s wife dying too young, but it’s not a free pass to go rogue on your constituents’ interests in favor of being liked by the online crowd. He has gone toe to toe with Trump before and still won his district handily. Millions of dollars don’t change that many people’s minds, but not voting how your voters want you to will.
The cult comments are so weird. It implies non- thinking loyalty, but you can come to a reasoned sense of loyalty and that is very much a free choice.
In my mind Trump is doing the hard short term thing for a long term gain. The immediate consequences hurt and it sucks, but it is the kind of thing that most politicians won’t do and we all suffer for it later. Looking back in 20 years it will be very easy to praise Trump for what he did if Iran is completely neutralized for a generation or two, but in the meantime… yeah, gas prices.
" Trump is doing the hard short term thing for a long term gain. " - Exactly! That's how he has always played this game. This is the reason behind the Abraham Accords, which has been the strongest force for peace in the Middle East since Egypt normalized relations with Israel almost 50 years ago.
I knew when Trump won in 2024 the danger was that people would expect everything to be fixed within a year, and start agitating if problems didn’t immediately go away. The progressive left has been working for decades to create this mess, and it’s going to take both time and some hard medicine to get things back on track.
I did not foresee the turn to rabid anti-semitism in some quarters that were formerly conservative. The left uses Anti-Zion as their cover, the right uses America First. I never dreamed so many people would buy the slop they sell as some kind of great insight into how the world really works.
Thanks for the insightful comment. I think that the antisemitism on the Right is more concentrated to a few "influencer" types and the far-right nutters that were always there; we're not talking the average Republican voter, which is why Massie got his butt handed to him. Yeah, they're out there on the Right, but it's an epidemic on the Left.
Also, you make a good point about taking time to fix things; I often find myself wondering why people think putting things back together is going to happen painlessly and overnight.
T.L.D.R. - I see no need for anti-semitism, It makes more sense to dislike individual crooked bankers, lawyers, socialists, people who outsmart me (envy will turn you into a leftist loser). And say what you will about them, it's way better to be their ally than their enemy. How can anyone look at 10-7 and not cheer Israel's response?
--------
I think the Jews have an undeserved p.r. problem going back millennia. There is the Christ thing for starters, wherein powerful interests squelched a perceived threat - typical "elite" behavior, and OUR leaders are much worse -it's wrong to tar Jews in general.
Ignorant people dislike paying back loans, don't understand how badly interest will work against them. Worse, rulers often financed wars - then had motive to trash the lenders they didn't want to pay - and dumb people ape the ruling class.
An analogy: imagine if YOUR family had specialized in money lending for hundreds of years, had been the only money lenders. Do you think people might have a lot of nasty things to say, including made up stuff?
Then there's the plain fact of their high intelligence, largely of the verbal type. Another sure way to irritate people. It's tended to put them in leadership positions of organizations. Orgs tend to end up led by the greediest psychopaths, best able to use pretty words.
Why blame Jews, when there's plenty of aholes of every kind?
Their insularity and tribal loyalty? (big irritants also) .
Considering the hostility they've faced, it'd be a miracle if they weren't standoffish.
Ditto! And, I don’t think even Trump foresaw how many roadblocks thrown up by the Supreme Court, Fed judges, Congress, the swamp & the surprise of Tucker, etc. He has so little time before he’s brought down by impeachment or worse. I think he is a hero for trying.
Kidbuck, perhaps, as your name implies, you are truly a kid - a person without enough lived experience to understand the difference between hateful false propaganda of both the Nazi adjacent former MAGA Podcastians along with the Stalinist anti-Semites at the heart of the Democrat Party, and the only decent and rational forces that still give hope to us all for the "American Dream" to survive. Those positive forces are now aligned with Donald Trump, no matter that his brash and sometimes even counter-productive stream of consciousness commentary opens doors for his enemies multiplying in the crevices of our current state of moral collapse. If your excuse for your own comments is not underage ignorance and undo susceptibility to evil propaganda, then you are not even worthy of commenting on Sasha's heartfelt and true commentary. My advice: either grow up and open yourself up to a higher plane of understanding, or just go back to your cubby hole of hateful fever dreams.
It's really clear that most of the comments like kidbuck come from people with little appreciation for the history of the ME and Israel. And it's also apparent that many of the critics of the Iran war are culturally illiterate. If the mullahs had a nuke and a means of delivering it they would use it in a heart beat on Israel or Washington and feel really, really good about it. Americans are too Western and naive to really understand that the mullahs are Shia, twelvers, a cult within twlevers, and have a chip on their shoulder because the Arab shia look down on them "they don't even speak Arabic . . ." and all the shrines are in Iraq . . . This is the most important thing an American president could do and Trump did it knowing full well it will cost him politically. But oh! never mind, we're all in a cult and Netanyahu is the leader! Oh my!
How can you call Kidbuck 'hateful' or in need of 'growing up'? He/she has a different POV than you, is all. I'm a subscriber to Sasha for I think the 5th year in a row now. And I've seen Sasha change and change again. And I too have seen this place turn into TFP 2.0 when it comes to Israel over past 6 months or so. I say that as supporter of Isreal's right to exist, abhor 10/7, 3x Trump voter and also, America First. Is there only room for 1 POV here now, and everyone else that doesn't toe the line gets put down and put in their place? I enjoy different POV's than mine, as long as it's not done with name-calling. Maybe I'm just conditioned to it, living in a purple area, friends with others that don't share my same politics -- and my wife being until recently, a lifelong D-voter (she's gone a bit Independent lately) haha
Simply put, people who critique Sasha's post with "you joined another Cult known as an Isreal First Cult. Netanyahu is your leader" are not really just expressing just another POV, it indicates quite a specific one, one that is promulgated on the internet by an awful lot of people who do not share any kind of reasonable view of Israel, Jews, Sasha, Trump or, for that matter, the United States. Neither Trump, nor Israel is sacrosanct and deserving of no critical thought, but Kidbuck's comment was obvious shorthand for all the, yes, hateful rhetoric about Jews and Israel, and now Trump, on the net. He didn't even have to say, "hey, I'm just asking questions", followed by a giggle for anyone to understand his POV; it's a very obvious and common one for those who dress their anti-Semitic hate in the costume of "anti-Zionism" and memes about Netanyahu dragging a deaf and dumb Trump into fighting "their" war. Yes, maybe you, living in a purple area, are so conditioned as to miss the point of Jew hating propaganda flying around you, as it tumbles its way downhill toward the status of normalcy in the mindset of far too many people.
I can assure you that i am a real person, and I wrote what I wrote myself, without the aid of stupid memes or some AI program. I am merely an older, educated and well-read person who sees you for what you now are and, hopefully, will someday come to regret. Sorry to burst your bubble, but my name is right here, I am flesh and blood, and I write my own commentary.
And if Iran (and proxies) is brought to heel, we will finally have real peace in the Middle East. At least until the Dems take back control and screw things up with their hatred of Israel.
The U.S. (& our CPs) won every war on the battlefield that we've engaged since the Korean War, but it has always been the politicians who yank that victory out from under our feet, frequently leading to long, protracted conflicts as the politicians dither, concluding with fatigued political de-funding of the mission and handing victory to the enemy.
There is a commenter, James Thorne (also financial guy) who has a very good take on how important the reset of the geopolitical world is now (article on Real Clear Politics today, link below…not wanting to hijack Sasha.)
Trump deliberately is choosing a DIFFERENT path, i.e., against the Dem/Leftist/Globalist ideology of managed decline and technocratic management by elites. I voted for that. It is common sense and respectful of our great country, its voters, taxpayers and our founders’ Constitutional Republic.
God bless you in your travels, Sasha. I do think the economics are turning (see recent huge capital expenditures and positive employment stats for private—not gov’t) jobs). The issue of our huge federal debt is lurking as a drag and raising interest rates, which hurt mortgage rates and eat up a lot of federal budget. Bessent is on the case and trimming fraud will help. But more discipline needed (Dems/Leftists typically just love to spend your $$)
The only problem with your statement is that we're living in a tik Tok world and attention spans are about 45 seconds so most don't care about the long term. And at 80 I honestly feel the same because soon I'll have to make some very hard financial choices. Not to mention I doubt anything Trump does in the mid East will guarantee long term peace.
Trump, alone, can't guarantee long term peace. He can only enable the conditions to forge a peace. Long term peace takes work. It takes the work of the next president, and the following president, and so on. If we can't commit to it, then we have to commit ourselves to the alternative, which is a nuclear-armed Revolutionary Islamic Republic of Iran.
The expectations on Trump are ridiculous. The Democrats set him up to fail because they want power and the right has to lose and badly for the Left to get it back. If the Left gets back the power, America is going full Marxist and I am leaving this country with my assets. It will be horrible to be conservative in a country that hunts you down, prosecutes you in a kangaroo court and puts you in prison for life. The Left does not care about the Law. They will just change it with puppet justices to fit their agenda. We already saw that with Letitia James and her pet district judge who steamrolled Trump for a political outcome, certainly not Justice.
And while Trump continues to not care about the American people, just preventing Iran from getting a nuclear weapon. Or did you forget he said that recently? No support for his lunacy. And that soon to be nationwide $5 or 6 gas will doom MAGA candidates in November since too many will be destroyed financially as prices climb out of reach for the basics. But I guess if you're one of the 1%, you're safe
Trump not caring is leftist spin. He’s doing the hard work. The Iranians are watching and listening to everything. War is mostly propaganda. When he was asked that question, in the middle of the war, what was he supposed to say? That he’s going to base the war actions on the financial tolerance of the American people? Then Iran would wait for the patience of Americans to end and expect Trump to end the war due to impatient people? They’re already just trying to wait us out. Trumps answer was correct, but the spin machine manipulated what he said, as they always do. We had higher prices under Biden with no war. As if the communist democrats who caused this problem originally will “fix” it, is ludicrous.
Zoom! This is way over your head. Denying the IRGC of nuclear weapons IS caring for Americans and the rest of the civilized world. Paying another dollar or two for fuel and 15% more for groceries for a few more months is a very small price to pay. Really? You're not even willing to put up a small "sacrifice" for a nuclear-free Iran and the last obstacle to peace in the Middle East?
Too many Americans have turned their backs on JFK's creed for America, that "we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty."
Keep on dreaming. Those prices will never come down. Greedy corporations won't lower prices. And for you 1% folks, you get richer. The rest of us, not so much
The cancer that metastasized over the four years of The Biden Harris Fiasco isn't and won't be easily undone as was their plan. Any cancer patient can tell you that the treatments are terrible, but ultimately the cure is worth the effort.
It started with Obama. First Trump term delayed it. Biden (Obama's 3rd term) made things the worst they've ever been in our country. Trump is fixing everything at one time. He knows the time frame is short, but hopefully he's successful. Help us DJT, you're our only hope.
Not sure what Massie's wife's misfortune has to do with his role as a Representative for hundreds of thousands of Kentuckians. If he wasn't up for that, he should have stepped down long ago. I also don't know what being pro-Jewish and pro-Israel, also Christianity's homeland, makes one a cult member. If that is the case, then all of America is a cult since America was founded on Judeo-Christian principles which originally emanate from Israel and the ideology espoused in the Christian bible (the Torah / the Old Testament is not always as kind and loving as the New Testament). I have seen people write that the concept of a Judeo-Christian ideology is wrong, that America was never about that. To which I say: "Show me". All of the founding documents, the Federalist Papers, discuss in detail these principles. America was founded based on those principles. Yes, Muslims, Buddhists and atheists are welcome in America according to 1st Amendment freedoms. But no, that does not mean the fundamentals of America are going to change to accommodate those differing views. America is and always has been allied with Israel, the Promised Land, and with Jews. So I tell those who differ and hate Jews and are anti-Israel: "Go find yourself a different party. You are not a conservative because you do not abide by the founding principles of America." I do not think that, as big a tent as the GOP and conservative movement has, it can include anti-Zionists and antisemites.
Yes! Brian, you (we) are not alone with this line of thought and reasoning… we are not crazy I say! It is a fact that the USA was founded on the principle that our rights as citizens are inalienable, why?… because they are endowed by our Creator”, I.e. the God of Abraham THE Old Testament Jew & Jesus Christ THE New Testament Jew. This is not up for debate as far as the founding fathers were concerned as you pointed out.
For a US citizen to claim they are a “Christian” whilst simultaneously hating Jews is a contradiction in terms at a minimum. More likely the work of Uncle Screwtape (hat tip - CS Lewis). Tucker seems to have let that proverbial cat out of the bag by admitting that he was fairly recently visited/raveged by “demons” while sleeping….hello Bueller!
This is all scary, sad, frustrating and yet our God sees, knows and resolves all things according to His will. I don’t understand why things are happening the way they are these days. I do hang onto His promises when witnessing the illogical, immoral and idiotic ranting of the “experts.”
Brian and MattD, 💯 agree. What is strange to me as well is the America First people tend to have “Christ is King” first in their bio. Nothing wrong with that except these people haven’t read their Bible, and while claiming Christ is King, they curse the people God blessed. It’s truly bizarre. It’s largely all the Old Testament is about. They don’t realize that in Revelation, in end times, when all nations turn against Israel, God brings back the remnant of his chosen ones - the ones who believe Jesus to be the Son of God. It is an everlasting covenant and God doesn’t lie.
God is the guarantor of the everlasting covenant. I don't see how anyone can read the old testament and not see God's great and never ending love for the Jewish people. The devil hates what God loves and anyone who hates and lies about Jews is in the evil camp fighting God himself.
Brian, all that you say is fairly true. I just learned that AIPAC (and its predecessor) the American Zionist Council were subject to both D.D. Eisenhower and then, JFK's DOJ to be registered as a foreign agent. This bubbling up (as new info to me) because Massie forwarded a bill here in 2026 to try and do the same. It would appear that AIPAC foreign influence in US politics goes back to the 1950's and both R's and D's had concerns with it. Now, we see AIPAC donate some $9M against Massie and contributed to the overall $35M (historical high) spent on a US House race. Something ain't right with that.
I look at it this way: the direction the country is heading in under Trump vs under Biden. I recall gas prices exploded at the beginning of the Ukraine war, and the left insisting the president has nothing to do with gas pricing.
The problems Trump inherited aren’t going away in two years. After seeing the list of nonsense USAID contracts that were cancelled, I can imagine how fast all of the leeches of our money will come back if the democrats get their way. Having a healthy criticism of Israel is one thing, but the complete demonization is ridiculous.
Excellent comment. Because we are a society full of instant gratification, we have no patience for the long term gain, which is in our best interests. So we will turn on Trump because of the short term pain, and ruin our chances on saving our society.
I find that the anti-Trump, anti-Israel woke right is FAR more cult-like than MAGA is. Radically so, and they cannot see it. It shows in their comments and replies and it’s all sounding like a broken record. Like the same kind of indoctrination imposed on the left. They are quick to turn the tables back on you and project their image onto you when you call them out on it. Then they turn to name calling. I called out someone today and after a back and forth she ended up calling me “Jew Jew” - just out of the blue. We weren’t even discussing Israel. 😂 And I’m Danish and German. And a Christian since I was 10. 🤣🤣🤣 I support Israel yes, from a Biblical perspective, but I’m open minded to both sides of the concerns about Israel’s involvement in our government, so I in no way come off as a radically, Pro-Israel cultists - but because I don’t talk like the radically, anti-Israel cultists she assumes I am radically Pro. Basically she simply hit a wall about my support of Trump, and sputtered “Jew!” at me. 🤣 THAT’s cult behavior. Exactly the same way the woke left does when you corner them, they turn to name calling because it’s all they have. “RACIST!” Etc.
No Sasha, you didn’t trade one cult for another, you traded one set of philosophical perspectives for a much healthier set that your gut recognizes as more sound and reasonable. More truthfyl. Now some on the woke right could say the same thing, that what they have “learned” rings more true to them, and I guess in some sense certain life experiences and moments in time might make us think something is more true than we otherwise might have thought. But it doesn’t last. I think us in the center hold more truth in our hands than the two extremes. And are far more reasonable. It shows in how we treat people compared to how far left and woke right treat people.
Massie can grieve as thousands do every day. But I agree that he does not get a "free pass" as you described. My wife of 50 years died last August at 77 from septic shock. She didn't stand a chance. After 50 years, she was gone just like that in 7 days in the ICU. Her last words to me were "Home. Now." the day before she died. I fulfilled that wish. After 9 months, the darkness has lifted. And now I keep going because she can't, and am honored to do so.
My deepest condolences. My husband passed away after an in home accident. He was gone in 4 short days. He was 69 years old. It’s tough being alone. It’s been years but nobody I meet measures up. I’m now 71 and don’t expect any knights in shining armor. All the best!!
I think Trump knows he really has until at least July to wrap up Iran. Memory and Attention span of voters is short. If gas prices are hitting “levels not seen since February” in October, things should go well. Of course lots can go wrong and the legacy media won’t help; they’ll probably tell us why lower gas prices are bad for the economy.
I probably won’t be around in 20 years or I’ll be eating soup through a straw, but I pray it all works in our favor!! Trump is driving fast and taking chances. I give him a lot of credit! Good luck America.
The decline has been going on for a long long time. Trumps major accomplishment is that he exposed the Thirdworldism, Islamism and how deep Marxism is entrenched in the institutions. We’re surrounded and the Cavalry has yet to organize.
I don't even like Trump very much, as a person....he's okay. He makes me laugh sometime and sometimes I can see that he's a caring man, but I wouldn't go out of my way to invite him to a neighborhood barbeque. That's not the point - I "like" him because of what he does as PRESIDENT and I wasn't born a minute ago, so I KNOW the history with Iran. In fact, I think Bush - if he was going to invade anyone, should've invaded Iran and thought my evening news said "Iraq", when they meant to say "Iran", when they announced the decision to invade. BTW, this isn't "cult" or "worship" behavior.
I remember Reagan's first term. It hurt, financially, those first few years as he tried to undo Carter's damage. We stayed on course. It would have been so much better if the Congress hadn't gone on a spending spree when the economy took off.
The idea that it’s a cult if you object to Jew hatred, rather than a cult when you subscribe to Jew hatred, is bizarre. I think you made the right pick for the right reasons, and I despair that segments of the Right have fallen for insane nonsense and aligned with the woke Left. I wonder how sincere they ever were in opposing wokeness, backing Trump, and being MAGA, given how easily and rapidly they have gone the other way. I include Massie, MTG, Tucker in that and consider them all frauds. Massie’s result suggests that the majority of MAGA is smart and decent on this.
As for gas prices, the US obsession with those seems incredible to a UK observer. Ours are far higher. Yes, people struggle with it, but judging the whole economy by that doesn’t make sense and Trump has lowered inflation and delivered energy independence which has shielded the US from the Iran impact better than most places. Once Iran is resolved it will stabilise. Long term he’s putting the US economy in a much stronger position.
You sir, bring much needed perspective. Gas prices in the U.S. are still a bargain vs. what they’ve been in the UK, Ireland and Europe FOR DECADES.
Gas prices are up in the state of Kentucky too, but that didn’t stop Thomas Massie’s constituents from giving him the heave-ho on Tuesday.
I actually believe Trump is invigorating MAGA here in the U.S. from coast to coast. By his endorsements, MAGA has been energized to come out and vote in Indiana, Louisiana, and now Kentucky. Only 2.5% of the residents of Kentucky voted in Tuesday’s primary and MAGA prevailed because Thomas Massie’s Podcanistanian virtual-constituents CAN’T VOTE in a KY primary election.
Now let’s watch and see what happens in Texas with the Paxton/Cornyn runoff election next month. If I’m correct, Trump’s leadership (i.e., his endorsement of Paxton) has energized the MAGA base in TX (as well as everywhere in the U.S.). Already, Paxton is polling +12% over Cornyn. The gaslighting of the MSM, social media, and Podcasters has limited power, very limited as it turns out based on recent primary election results.
Patriot Americans are much smarter than the Left gives us credit for. But more importantly, we have HAD IT with the UniParty (i.e., Democrats + RINO Republicans). We recognize that this is our chance to destroy their political power. Trump is our gray champion. His political timing is phenomenal. Thomas Massie’s political demise is just the latest example of the fact that Trump knows how to win.
We are in uncharted waters. It’s no longer Democrat vs. Republican. It’s Trump vs. Democrats + Republicans. This is a counter-revolution to dismantle what the Alinskyite/Obama-Globalist Left has built over the past 60 years. Trump is 100% aware of this and knows the stakes. He’s down for the “Fight! Fight! Fight!” and just like it was on July 13, 2024 in Butler, PA, MAGA is right there with him. He’s our George Washington 2.0 (sorry about the reference to 1776 😉).
Well said. Those at the top right of the horse shoe were never MAGA. They jumped on the Trump train when it suited them, & fooled a lot of people for awhile. They are opportunists spreading lies in the hopes of growing their power & bank accounts. I’m thankful their deceit is exposed for all to see. Those with clear eyes anyway.
Motivation/ hard to say. Since they were never really MAGA I think it’s a power play to cause division & run candidates they want in midterms & 2028. That want MAGA to go away when Trump is out. So I expect they’ll attack Vance & Rubio if they see them as threats to their power grab. What podcastistans have in common is a hatred for Israel & apologists for Islam. Time will tell.
His substack is stellar. I upgraded to paid on it yesterday bc of his excellent piece on Massie. Astoundingly good. Captures the essence of the problem.
Thanks very much and I agree. The hoax they are trying to sell is that Trump is Uniparty, but the people selling that line are working with the Dems and taking foreign money. It’s always projection. Fortunately the voters seem to have seen through it.
I thought your recent write-up re how many MAGA types look at Trump was spot on. Your write-up articulated in detail how most of us who support Trump are not in any cult. Instead, our eyes are wide open, and for many of us, there are several to numerous things that Trump has done that we don't agree with. But as you pointed out, we still trust his overall intent to put America first.
I detest it when people on X and in comments here on Substack refer to people who aren't leftist, aren't anti-Israel, and overall, support Trump, as following "your dear leader" or in being in a Trump cult or other broad-brush/mindless/illogical accusations. It is lazy and in the same vein as calling everyone "racist" or "Nazi."
Trump supporters are probably the most diverse population in the country. Good Americans in every state, every political party, every demographic, every race and gender are independent enough to see what Trump is doing, tries to do, and why he needs to do it.
You can't classify or categorize us. We all have seen what we think has been consummately wrong in the other parties and the other policies, Biden and Obama policies, and the results of other actions and partisan philosophies, and what our President intends to do about it.
The man is both a thinker and a doer. No one else in this country has the cojones to do everything that needs to be done to undo the past damage and start a new revolution based on the foundational principles that made us great to begin with.
The man may be flawed, but he knows who to hire, who to listen to, and who to trust.
The fixation on gas prices is mostly propaganda to undermine Trump. The alternative to Trump, Kamala and the Democrats, would have resulted in higher gas prices. Any Democrat talking about gas prices is being disingenuous.
Or no gas prices, because driving while solo would have been outlawed; vehicle production would have been curtailed; everyone would have illegal gig workers delivering their processed chemical meals to them in their prefabricated gerbil dens.
Have to disagree with you re your first sentence (ONLY!).
Adding a dollar to the price of gas does indeed have a large effect on the majority of drivers. It seriously impacts their day-to-day lives -- and I'm not talking about the slight impact it is having at the grocery store. I mean the decision to go places, to drive to an event... even to the grocery store or to visit grandchildren, etc.
Trump has a relatively short window, maybe mid-summer, to solve his Iran adventure and bring prices down if we are to hold Congress in the mid-terms.
I think gas prices are a valid complaint as Trump promised something else. That said Trump is doing hard work that other presidents ignored or made harder. He's trying to reset international trade to benefit Americans and he's resetting international relations to diminish dangers to the country and to the world. He's trying to get Europe and the UN to stop being mostly freeloaders. If he succeeds in part the country will be better for it. Unfortunately, the country isn't patient with long term solutions, so gas prices must come way down or he will lose the midterms and be impeached again if they don't assassinate him first.
“Make America Great Again” literally means a return to core values of the Constitution and our nation’s founding principles. And those are based on Judeo-Christian ideology. Not atheism. Not Islam. Jews and Christians. Those who disagree or opposed to Jews and Christians were never MAGA. We are much better off with the Woke Right, if there ever was such a thing, joining up with the Progressive Left. People had to pick sides in 1861 as well, sometimes even from the same family
And inflation is still reduced from the Biden high. The gas impact is temporary. I’m not saying it has no effect, I’m saying it’s nowhere near as important as people claim.
The Iran oil shock is forecast to add only 0.25% to core inflation according to the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research. Since everyone with a car sees rising gas prices there is an outsized effect on inflation expectations.
I live in the SF Bay Area and the Dem machine is much more responsible for high gas prices than Trump; most MAGA types around here have barely felt a difference considering how CA Democrats screw everybody.
Praying for you Mrs. Stone. I have learned a lot from you! May God provide, comfort, guide, protect, and help you! He has been Faithful, My Provider, Intercessor. He made you and knows Your heart! Please keep speaking up! Being yourself!!!!
Thanks for writing on the road and I think you are spot on with Massie. I can't fully understand Tucker, I was a big fan, and like him I am anti war, but sometimes We (USA) has to step up and do difficult things. I think much of Massie's problem was the growing ego you wrote about - it infects many politicians and even normal people, which is why we need term limits.
I'm not a regular viewer of Megan Kelly, and also I"m a non viewer of The View (but like everyone, I have seen clips of it), but there have been times when I thought Megan was almost as nasty and catty and shrill as the View women.
Megyn Kelly is a 1st Amendment absolutist and has deep reservations about AIPAC influence on American policy. You may not share these same concerns and find them disappointing. There are others that don't.
I have no problem with her being a 1st amendment absolutist. I do have a problem with her selective outrage when it comes to Israel, and her being comfortable with people with obvious anti-semitic views (not just anti-Israel, or anti-Zionist), and not engaging in any sort of pushback against those ideas.
There are others who share my views, and are also disappointed. You do not seem to share those concerns.
the anti-Israel crowd on the right are fools. their hate is blinding them and opportunists like Tucker are the pied piper. 2027 is going to be a bad time for all of us on the right, but it will be very bad for them as angry left goes on a purge. Call it the Blue Terror.
Anti-Semites lose Republican primaries but win Democrat primaries. Always remember that when you are worrying about the tiny, very on-line examples on the Right.
I don't understand the woke reich. They are splitting the party and opening the door to a Democrat/Leftist/Socialist hegemony. The Dems aren't even shy about it. Assuming they sweep the midterms, which looks increasingly likely, and in 2008 usher in Gavin Newsome, they will:
Kill the filibuster
Add DC and Puerto Rico as states
Pack the Supreme Court
Add a wealth tax
Indict Trump for some reason or other they make up
Put Iran back on track to obtain a nuke
And all round fix voting so Republicans can never win again.
I guess subscriber numbers are more important to them than the country.
It's all about $$$$ honey. That is represented by clicks and likes. Sad but true for the woke Reich. They never were fully on board. There were there for the ride it would personally give them.
I think if the Woke Right, the neoNAZI right, join the Progressive Left, that will open the door to even more Democrat moderates like Sasha to join MAGA. We do not want to be associated with their intolerance and hatred and neither do many Democrats
I used to tell people that Trump is the most honest man in Washington. It’s not a high bar, but he stays above it. Everyone else is a liar. The Jew hate is anti-American. I only wish the Jews would stop backing the Democrats. You can see Republicans assuming the responsibility of purging antisemitism from the party while Democrats embrace it. If you reward Democrats for this, then I don’t know what to say.
I can't subscribe to the labeling of Tucker - kelly or Candace Owen's or the other Hitler youth as MAGA, I can't. Kelly and Tucker were anti trump before they got on the grifter train. Grifters for clicks aren't who MAGA is and therefore your entire premise of being in another cult is wrong and I've pointed that out before on X.
MAGA is a bunch of free thinkers , we dont watch FOX or listen to podcasts of Tucker or Kelly or really mostly anyone else. We make up our own minds on each and every issue and sometimes disagree on those. But we - to a person - can't stand stand political theater from people who vote a certain way because they dont LIKE trump. Thats not America first, that's ME first and tom massie was me first. Cassidy - ME first.
He lost his wife. That happens but what I hear is his wife made him a man and without her he can't be a man. Thats some weak ass shit. I may lose my wife but she doesn't define me and if massie was only defined by his wife then he should have resigned rather than let TDS define him . He got voted out because too many people thought exactly as I do.
Let's go! Youre not in a cult. Youre in a club. A club of people who love America and any person of any color or religion that loves America. Gas will be down by August- Sept and besides we shouldn't be voting on gas anyways.....we are re aligning political power in the western hemisphere and thats more important than an extra 2 bucks a gallon.
You are correct. The very term MAGA means to embrace our core values including tolerance, diversity and religious freedom. If you reject any of those ideas then you are not about MAGA, a non-political concept
I'm with you. Even how the news came out the next day that credited Trump's endorsement as being why some of the wins occurred, I don't agree with. True MAGA's think on their own. Trump's endorsements aren't always right either--for example, he endorsed our "red-state" governor who's a basic RINO who makes sure our legislature never cracks down on illegal immigration; true MAGAs here voted against that RINO governor.
Dude had a facelift. It’s not age u see.. Sorry you all need to take off the rose colored glasses. Wife died , face lift, new girl , obstructions , anti semite. I realize that could be grief but please go thru that out of office
Massie seems to have more narcissistic tendencies than the average person. A very smart man without wisdom, vying for attention. A dangerous combination when used for selfish gain . Just look at B. Gates.
Being fairly burned out on following politicians, I have been totally unaware of Massie until this week. I saw a Tucker interview with Massie from a while back. His face was chubby and a little flushed, and shaved. Tucker gave a glowing description of him and his political history. He seemed nice and the things he said sounded reasonable. This week when I saw the bearded, not at all chubby guy, I could not believe he is the same person!! I doubt he has had a facelift. I think he has lost weight and gone for a different look, tanner and bearded.
I’m def not a plastic surgeon but I’m good with faces — I have been following him and he went very quickly to unrecognizable- I don’t mean weight loss I mean major face structure changes. It is virtually impossible for a typical unattractive aging man to suddenly become handsome— and that happened.
We don’t naturally start having stronger jaw bones as an example. We lose bones - not gain them. His face structure is now strong - prior he was round and pudgy
Impeachment will happen if the dems get in charge. He won’t be removed because it’s actually 67 votes are needed for removal. But regardless, it will be a circus and chaotic and that’s what the islamocommie democrats will deliver.
I struggle over the weird antisemitism that inhabits the edges of the right and overwhelms the left. There is a clear history of scapegoating at work, going back to the Middle Ages. Judaism is not the problem, intolerant people are the problem.
Go back much further in time. The first time that Jews were almost exterminated was in ancient Persia when Haman was given an Imperial decree to kill all of the Jews. The Emperor loved his Jewish wife Haddassah. So he wrote another decree that allowed Jews to kill anyone trying to kill Jews. This is described in the Old Testament book of Ester (Haddassah), the only book in Holy Scriptures that does not mention God. Around 500 BC.
Meh. People love to whine, people love to bitch. People love to blame their problems on someone else because then they don’t have to take responsibility for their awful stupid choices. Many people can’t stand they aren’t the center of their own universe and that a politician isn’t just like them. They want clones. If they want someone to parrot every thought they have, they should effing run themselves or write their own essays.
If a person can’t recognize that others have different opinions, they should withdraw from the world. Or at the least stop embarrassing themselves with their ridiculous infantile whining about how if you don’t agree with me, you’re in a cult. Wah wah wah.
Then there's the usury thing- Christian and Muslim religions forbade money lending, used the Jews for that purpose. https://www.google.com/search?q=Christian+and+Muslim+religions+forbade+money+lending%2C+used+the+Jews+for+that+purpose
Sasha. Yes, you joined another Cult known as an Isreal First Cult. Netanyahu is your leader.
Those of you who want to label me an Antisemite, save it, because I'm not. I'm only America First.
OMG. That's an AI response if I've ever seen one.
AHAHAHAHAHA!!
You’re an America only leftist who can’t even spell the name of the county you hate.
At least spell it right: Israel.
Awwww, who hurt you? Hope you get better soon, God bless!

Yep, that's why we're mining gold as fast as we can.
That's bad. That's really bad.
Keep on dreaming. Those prices will never come down. Greedy corporations won't lower prices. And for you 1% folks, you get richer. The rest of us, not so much
In 2002, Dick Gerhardt said that the Dems would gain a house seat for every 100 points the stock market went down
Didn't happen
he didn't say that
The best we can hope for from the Middle East is slow simmering until the next boil over. But ‘no nukes for them’ is worth some sacrificing.
Absolutely!
Exactly.
Ok. Had to reread your comment a couple times ( don’t judge me 🫨 but I do finally get what you are saying brother/sister. Thanks!
I found that comment difficult to make, briefly and succinctly, lol. Glad you understood it.
Compared to the coming battles over entitlement programs, the Iran problem will look like a schoolyard fight. We ain’t seen nothing yet.
People who crave instant gratification must not workout to stay healthy. The first step is the toughest.
Wow Juju… Amen Sister! Excellent concise essay and rebuttal to the crazy. Stay strong.
Thank you Debby. I’m sorry for your loss, as well.
That’s beautiful. My sincerest condolences. 💐❤️
Thank you.
💖🥲
🎯
Very astute comment!
bingo
Btw, i just followed your Substack.
Curious as to what their motivation was?
Motivation/ hard to say. Since they were never really MAGA I think it’s a power play to cause division & run candidates they want in midterms & 2028. That want MAGA to go away when Trump is out. So I expect they’ll attack Vance & Rubio if they see them as threats to their power grab. What podcastistans have in common is a hatred for Israel & apologists for Islam. Time will tell.
money/power
His substack is stellar. I upgraded to paid on it yesterday bc of his excellent piece on Massie. Astoundingly good. Captures the essence of the problem.
Thanks very much Alice. 😀
Thanks very much and I agree. The hoax they are trying to sell is that Trump is Uniparty, but the people selling that line are working with the Dems and taking foreign money. It’s always projection. Fortunately the voters seem to have seen through it.
Thank you for your comments on gas. Same feeling I have here in globalist woke carbon tax loving Canada.(puke)
Well said. 👍
Well said, Cat! Why does a label have to be attached to a person?
Bc they’re lazy propagandists and have nothing but labels to protest reality. I haven’t seen or heard a single smart leftist yet.
Thanks, and yes it’s just an incredibly lazy smear on us.
So true😂
True MAGA is staying TRUE.
Actually the price of fuel has a great impact on inflation as everything is delivered by truck. But I get your point.
And inflation is still reduced from the Biden high. The gas impact is temporary. I’m not saying it has no effect, I’m saying it’s nowhere near as important as people claim.
Exactly!!! its all relative as the poster from the UK says
The Iran oil shock is forecast to add only 0.25% to core inflation according to the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research. Since everyone with a car sees rising gas prices there is an outsized effect on inflation expectations.
Uh ya it does— point is the US has better gas prices than really anywhere else. Stop whining.
I wasn’t whining. I was pointing out a fact.
And BTW, saying it has better prices than anywhere else is meaningless to the person who doesn’t live anywhere else.
Amen Abigail!
I'm even more surprised with the transformation of Megyn Kelly. Very disappointing.
Likewise here. I saw some of her interview with the RCP guys yesterday. It's baffling, but I guess she's not sweating the money side of things.
Go on over to the dark side. It pays well apparently
She also morphed into a different form when she migrated from Fox to msm tv.
I agree. I can only listen to about half of her podcast now. I can’t stand her new anti-MAGA hysteria.
Tucker (and I was a follower) has always been shrill. Now he is akin to a carnival barker. He had me fooled.
Who is PRO war except MIC FFS?
What is MIC FFS????
the anti-Israel crowd on the right are fools. their hate is blinding them and opportunists like Tucker are the pied piper.
Right on , everything we cannot, CANNOT , Accept !
WE MUST PROTEST!
WE MUST FIGHT BACK!
Love you, Sasha! Don't let the bastards drag you down.
Other than the non-Jews like Bernie Sanders, you may get your wish.
Sasha I saw gas here in Kentucky yesterday 3.95. - if you come thru here I’ll fill your tank and treat you to a coffee or meal!
You say after the midterms "Trumps impeachment and removal from office". You think 60 Senators are going to vote for Trump's removal?
Impeachment will happen if the dems get in charge. He won’t be removed because it’s actually 67 votes are needed for removal. But regardless, it will be a circus and chaotic and that’s what the islamocommie democrats will deliver.
Won't happen. Absolutely won't.
It's actually 67 Senators - 60 is to break a filibuster.
67
I mean what did the last week or so of primaries teach you?
lol
Inflation adjusted, a gallon of gas that cost 50 cents in 1966 should be $4.82 today.
Americans think they are entitled to cheap energy.
Well, that sure puts it in perspective.
Esther is the OT Book Tucker was using to charge Jews with genocide. It was a breathtaking reach even for him to twist the story to fit his narrative.
Tucker is stone cold crazy.
That seems to be true
As I said, meh.
Brilliant.
Saying we are not a cult is exactly what a cult would say.
I'm what would have been a moderate in the 80's and 90's, but now am right wing - odd how that works.
My advice is to continue speaking truth.
FWIW, I upgraded to a Founding Participant to help a bit with finances :)
Love you -:)
