They’d rather criticize Rand Paul, the only person who consistently questioned Fauci, challenged the way he was leading the handling of COVID and the promotion of the not-vaccine-vaccine. Standing back and re-evaluating history, Fauci was a star in the march toward today's deep divide. His journals and public persona tell us much more about ourselves!.My own two daughters with the liberal influence have continued to worship Fauci, and the one who is a cancer survivor takes to task whole populations who don't still wear masks. But as an amateur historian, I had studied the Spanish flu of the early 1900s. I knew it had wreaked havoc so I wondered if this would be similar. Many thought that way. Sadly we didn't always get good reporting on this. Hindsight makes me aware of how many still only read MSM and don't ask questions. It's a dangerous!

When you have accepted a pardon you cannot no longer plead the fifth amendment against self-incrimination when under oath.
Fauci accepted the pardon, which represents consciousness of guilt.
If he lies under oath at the hearing his pardon will not cover that.
In short, he’s in a bind, which was why he had to be subpoenaed to appear - he did not want to for obvious reasons.
