This is exactly what a Russian Spy who defected from The KGB tried to warn us about. He risked his life to defect from The KGB. He knew that if he was caught that he would be arrested and most likely killed. His name was Yuri Bezmenov. He finally made his way into The United States and he did numerous interviews during the 1980’s. He explained in detail how it would only take two generations for “Psychological Subversion” to brainwash and psychologically manipulate the youth. Teach them how to hate their country, and turn America into a Communist State.

(The Yuri Bezmenov Substack channel is not the real person who defected. )

Here is the full interview of Yuri Bezmenov explaining how quickly America will become a Communist State.

Thank you for this. Sent it to myself. I have people in my life who refuse to even look at facts that conflict with the hive mind of leftist ideology.

As a non-psychiatrist (boards in surgery and environmental medicine after I developed soap allergies) I try to find a rational explanation for Trump Derangement. I don’t support EVERYTHING he has done (but he’s done a lot of good things), he’s a little coarse (although as a man, I don’t have pearls to clutch) (and LBJ wasn’t exactly Mr Manners) so the hysterical hatred of the TDS folks is puzzling. What, exactly, is it that they hate? Is it because he has stopped (at least for now) the momentum toward One World Government and one party (Democratic) rule? (What they refer to as Our Democracy) (which they certainly will not share with us deplorables). Is it some sort of spiritual thing-e.g., rule of Antichrist? TDS does not stand on its own. There is something irrational powering it as there is nothing obvious to explain it. Suggestions welcome

Trump is attacking the interests of very powerful people. From the beginning, he attacked the interests on both Left and Right that want illegal immigration. Businessmen want the cheap labor and the left wants the votes and organizing manpower. In Trump term II, he is directly attacking the financial flows to his political enemies with a lot more precision and effectiveness than Trump I could muster. 4 years in the wilderness allowed Team Trump to analyze and understand how the Left is financed. Shutting down USAID was a master-stroke. Globalism is big business, and Trump is going for its jugular vein.

I think they hate him because he became president without their permission.

It mystifies me, too. I've read allusions to something called "the contagion heuristic," and its fraternal twin, "the contamination heuristic." This isn't stigma if I understand stigma correctly, but it is irrational. It explains everything from Beatlemania to the outcast.

Trump is abrasive, as if Norm MacDonald wasn't? But all of these vacuous nits take their cues from the hive. Trump is hated because Trump MUST be hated, he's Hitler! dontcha know?

Jude Iam's avatar

the simplistic good vs. bad, us vs. them = TDS. having to deal with the uniparty vs the people is waaay harder, requiring serious long-term strategies and deeper global analysis. DJT has obvious flaws making him an easy target. it's the same irrational conviction for the 'safe and effective' vaccines - despite irrefutable statistics proving the reverse. infuriating for us using logic - yet unshakeable.

"There is something irrational powering it as there is nothing obvious to explain it."

I'm not sure that "irrational" really applies, but perhaps "un"rational?

I agree that the presenting symptoms are irrational, but their origin, I am thoroughly convinced, is not.

Concisely: there is nothing rational about a dog salivating at the sound of a bell, until we become acquainted with Pavlov and familiarize ourselves with his hypothesis and experimental methodologies.

I also think that the origins of TDS predate President Trump's candidacy.

Partly, they are founded on ordinary human trait expression, but not entirely so. There is another layer, one I first experienced myself, back in 1974 as an alienated adolescent. That layer is most easily recognized as the outward manifestation of ideological purity.

Pavlov, Skinner, Staddon et al, each experimented with adaptive learning and behavior. The dog salivated because of an inculcated association, repetitive imposition of unconditioned stimuli. So, also did the rats leap and cower.

At the first sound of a rattlesnake, I jump backward about three feet. It's a conditioned response from living and working outside in rattlesnake-infested rural areas. There is no thought; it's irrational and instantaneous.

A conversation about the Long March and my own direct participation in it (and subsequent repentance) would be overlong and tedious, so I'll just leave it at a multigenerational dilution of liberalism, with each generation being subject to indoctrination of illiberal values at an earlier age.

TDS is a conditioned response. The associative stimuli are everywhere, and reinforced by interpersonal feedback loops. Critical thinking isn't actually absent, it has simply been bypassed by means of applied behavioral science.

The applicational motives are multivariate, but the commonality is self-interest. The conversation ranges into the realm of applied general semantics and Thalerism. but this reply is becoming overlong. Others are supplying details of the associations and examples of self-interest.

I'm sorry, but as someone who is lamenting the loss of a truly great environmental and food allergist, I must ask how you have managed a soap allergy. Also can you recommend a good allergist (or are you in practice?)

It’s not just the Iranians.

The vile and constant psychotic hatred from the Left has inspired an unprecedented six men with guns to come for Trump.

George Shay's avatar

Are you kidding me? They are loving it! Half of the country would be dancing in the streets if Trump got assassinated. Shameful, but sadly true.

If you actually think the French Revolution was a good thing, then wanting America to experience a form of it makes sense.

I loathed Biden. I never wanted him assassinated. That's not how we do things, we vote to change leaders, except for you soulless ghouls who think it's cooler to assassinate people and fantasize about seeing your president get killed.

Trump isn’t a tyrant, though.

George Shay's avatar

Nothing. That's why we’re dealing with Son of Ayatollah. Now what does that have to do with the President?

Hmmm 🤔 Maybe you should pick up a Holy Bible and start reading it then you will understand why you must respect yourself so that you can respect others. If you don’t know the ancient scriptures of Holy Men, including Jesus Christ then you will never reach Heaven.

I'm not sure what's worse, that people are gleefully contemplating the assassination of a sitting president, or that they are so willing to film their psychosis and display it for the world to see.

There's more fodder than Libs of TikTok can begin to curate.

The left is the party of hate, violence and divisiveness. That is the truth

The Media has enormous interests. They know where their bread is buttered. Trump has been systematically attacking their sources of government and institutional revenue that keep them alive - the same sources that fund the Democratic Party. More than that, he is attacking their power - the power to create and enforce a narrative. Without narrative power, they have nothing. Of course the Media needs to destroy Trump. Remember, there is no money in real journalism. None. Zero. The money is in Narrative control.

The American Debunk's avatar

The Left, through their rhetoric, created a permission environment where radical leftists feel obligated to assassinate him.

Mamdani is doing the same with his Assault Lists (pied-a-terre) tax doxxings

Andrew P's avatar

Most people don't understand the real purpose of the pied-a-terre tax. Most of the owners of those supposedly vacant units actually live in the units most of the time. They just have official residency elsewhere to evade the extremely onerous NYC taxes including city income tax. Mamdani is giving them a catch-22. Either prove you are a NYC resident to avoid this tax (and have to pay back taxes on income to the city), or else pay the new pied-a-terre tax and keep your NJ or CT residency.

clem h fandango's avatar

So it's all good until it comes for you? The marxists will move the goalposts...slippery slope my friend.

Jeff Keener's avatar

Aren't all properties taxed already, regardless of whether it's someone's first, second, or third home? Is there a discount for primary residence and is that what Mamdani's proposed tax about? That the second home is taxed at the full amount?

Ted's avatar

Plausible hypothesis, Andrew, but how do we test it?

Lon Hocker's avatar

Sasha, it is important to recognize that the media is a business. It caters to its customers. This applies to both the left and the right. They want to stay in business, so the give their customers what they want to hear. They are not reporters, they are business people. To think otherwise is naïve. How do we fix this problem? It has been around forever, and, other than buying them out, nobody has ever come up with a solution that I know of.

Thank you again Sasha - you have again captured the lunacy of the legacy media
