Elections usually involve a binary choice; which entails often choosing the "lesser" of two evils. There is NO question that the sick stew of Dem/Leftist/Radical policies are evil. Rove should be ashamed. He is betraying Texans and Americans.

Rove was a senior adviser to George W. Bush. Perhaps Mr Rove might consider an apology and amends to the young Americans were sent to Afghanistan and Iraq. Or the families of those who never came back. Yet Mr. Rove is such a sensitive soul that he gets his bowels in an uproar over a mean tweet. One might even think him disingenuous.

I’ll give Mr. French a bit of benefit of the doubt on this, as there’s evidence that he was addressing the reality that Texas students (regardless of race) are being pushed out of/blocked from University of TEXAS programs in favor of foreign nationals in prestigious programs. UT isn’t the only school, and Texas isn’t the only state with this concern.

In reality, we seldom vote in favor of anyone. We look at the list of candidates and decide first who not to vote for and finally decide on the least objectionable candidate. None are ever perfect. Too often it means holding your nose and figuratively pulling the lever. If I wear a mask to the polls this year, it won’t be a fear of Covid or germs, it will be to lessen the stench because I’ll be voting for some pretty smelly candidates, but—as you said, Sasha—they’re not mutilating our children, not putting boys in girls sports, and, generally, not trying to destroy the country.
