Happy to pay! It beats all other “subscriptions” I have going!

It’s like she is my friend.

That's how I feel! This is my one paid subscription and it is my favorite!

Also my one paid!!! Sasha is the BEST!

Sasha, I have a sign on my wall (available at Amazon, among others) that helps me get through tough times, such as your loss of Jack.

It reads: "Don't Cry Because It's Over. Smile That It Happened."

What a great saying. Thank you for sharing. Something I absolutely needed to hear today.

Safe journey. Let us know how the corn is doing in the plains, if you go through.

Love reading your posts, well worth paying for. 2nd trip in two months to AZ soon. What i always notice, besides the lower gas prices, is how much nicer the roads are when you cross the border into AZ on the 10, just past Blythe. It's really noticeable.

Just wait until you approach Tucson on Highway 10 and you might change your tune.

Generally, though, I agree.

Interesting. I segue to 60 E then to Prescott so, to date, haven't been that way

Your route avoids the nasty stretch .

Brilliant.

Sasha, you should be paid for all of your content.

Bon voyage.

My thoughts also!

We also road trip 2X year between our winter and summer spots, because of the dogs. It has given us a wonderful opportunity to know more of this fantastic country and meet some interesting people.

Have FUN Sasha!

We do the same but with cats.

Texas is interminable. Wyoming is about the same.

This is a huuuuuge country

Safe travels to you! Made many coast to coast trips, speaking of Wyoming, I was snowed in Laramie for almost a week. Had a blast and was treated like a local quickly even with my California plates on my truck and trailer. We are truly part of a wonderful group of humans, and I encourage everyone to go meet and greet them.

Texas is AWESOME!!!! Breathe the fresh FREEDOM air!!!

But fantastic roadside scenery, right? And some interesting local spots to eat too.

Jen Todd's avatar

Eating is part of the enjoyment of a road trip. Lots of spots on my map that are "conveniently" marked for a slight detour along the way. Buc-ee's is one of those spots.

Our trip is 3 long days 10 states and 2900 miles. So we don’t linger and we don’t really find local spots to eat. I mean we’ve found some but depending on going east or west and the hotels we might not find them again. Breakfast and lunch have to be fast.

But every state has beauty and TX and WY definitely look different internally from state line to state line. I however have never seen Dallas in sunlight and while I have seen Denver in sunlight in the past, on these trips it’s always in darkness

Best rest stops are in Florida. Worst roads are in Louisiana. Best gas prices in LA and TX, surprisingly not in the energy state WY.

NNTX's avatar

Agree re LA roads and TX/LA gas prices. Though the gas stations in LA are kind of crummy.

We have started to add another night so we can see more. Dallas imho has terrible traffic BUT some very interesting museums.

It would be nice to see stuff. But we have two cats with us and it wouldnt be good to leave them in the car while we swan off.

I've become a paid subscriber because I appreciate your content. I don't really care if I get extras.

If,by paying a subscription, I can help others reach your content, I'm glad.

If you find your path crossing near the Colorado/Wyoming border, I invite you to spend an afternoon in Fort Collins, especially our downtown area. Tons of outdoor cafes, quaint shops and the entire town is dog-friendly!

I am thankful you are driving again. Last year, your posts were refreshing…revealing how your soul was also revived.

Enjoy your trip and birthday celebration with your daughter!

I’ll look forward to your free ones as I am retired and sorry I can’t support. Enjoy the journey

Debby's avatar

You can tip. If that’s possible. If not…enjoy!! 😊

I’m so excited to hear about your journey along the way. I love long road trips myself and I’m jealous that I’m not on one right now. But have a wonderful time. I’ll be praying for your safety all the way. Enjoy the time with your daughter.

Part of the fun of dogs is actually seeing places rather than flying over.
