The Oscars, like the Pulitzer, the Tony awards, the Nobel Peace Prize, and even a PhD, once measured excellence. Now I’m not sure what they measure. I haven’t watched pro sports or been to a theater (movie or stage) in over 20 years. I see no reason to pay for garbage, produced by people who have no respect for me and mine. Better to stay home where I can screen out the preaching and the trash.

Sasha, I started from the beginning and listened to six eposodes on my 3+hour round trip commute. (Moving next week) You are an amazing writer, with penetrating insight, detailed self awareness and brutal honesty. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s commute. Thank you.

Oscars never meant anything to me and never resonated as important or meaningful. Hollywood is a demented society with few exceptions.

2014 was year of yin and yang of my own . And your best friend story is finding me grieving over my dog APOLLO who I said goodbye to in 2019.

Good job Sasha ! Good work and God bless 😎💜

Memoir? Sasha, do you identify with one or more characters in the Wonderful Wizard of Oz as they travel along the yellow brick road to the Emerald City?

Because I read this insightful post from you and see that you were the Wizard of Oz, but Dorothy sent you back to Kansas on a balloon.

Sometimes reflections prompt clarity and bring closure. I’m not at a place where I can view this, but I look forward to it later in the day.

I need the closure as well 😉

I liked both of those movies. Boyhood and Birdman.
