Sasha, I don’t know about anyone else, but I find great value in your posts. I appreciate your honesty your openness. Your fair and your evaluation of things. I’m very happy being one of your subscribers. I wish you well and I pray that more people will subscribe. You deserve to be able to make a decent living just like anyone else. You have a gift with words that is very valuable to me. Thank you for all the hard work you put into every single post.
No apologies! I absolutely adore your stuff, its the ONLY substack I never miss, ever. There's just no one like you, I feel we are sisters (but I'm old enough to be your mom, ha!) Much gratitude to you. Do not feel any pressure from this one paid subscriber to produce extra perks. What you offer now is great!
You are worth a heck of a lot more than what we are paying. I’d gladly pay more if you raise your price. I’m actually hoping that Megyn Kelly puts you on her new channel.
I think those of us who have been long time paid subscribers really appreciate your work.
I don’t pay because you make me pay to enjoy your work. I pay because I value what you do, and believe that one should not freeload on the work of others.
I voluntarily pay for work I admire. I hope most others feel the same.
This is especially true when having to listen to relentlessly shitty commentary from people that think they're entitled to spread their garbage far and wide.
Haven't had to read a lot of bullshit lately. Maybe I've been blocked. Hmmm...I like it. Or maybe the trolls and the deluded have realized that they'll get a reply.
I knew when I paid my $70 that I wasn’t getting anything extra but I didn’t care because I enjoy what you write and I want you to keep on writing. I don’t want you to abandon Substack because it can’t sustain you financially. So I will help you with that, and I hope others do, too, for as long as it takes.
People who pay do it because we want to support real journalists, there being far too few. I'd bet there's overlap between your paid subscribers and many of those of Berenson, Taibbi, and Keenan
You can have Berenson, Taibbi and don’t know about Keenan. I stopped subscribing to Berenson a couple of years ago. I find him to be a bit of a ‘horses ass’ with a sense of entitlement like a former NYT journalist that he was.
Don’t know that person, will have to check it out. I just found Sasha yesterday in Substack notes. She did a lovely post about Diane Keaton. And then I read a few of her Substacks. I am a bit older than likely most of y’all here and read The Truth Barrier with Celia Farber, Jeff Childers Coffee and COVID, Chris Bray Tell me How This Ends, Jenna McCarthy and a number of others. And they are all older than Sasha I believe. So it’s nice to have a younger perspective.
I would adopt a no refund policy- you may be getting such requests from crazed leftists trying to annoy and hassle you - who pays for a year and immediately cancel when you can pay $5 for a month?
Sasha, you have absolutely nothing to apologize for, or to explain. The nimrod who subscribed for $70 then unsubscribed, knew exactly what they were getting. The 'benefits' are great writing and the compelling posts you provide. - Jim
I have, through the years, acquired many paid substack subscriptions. I am recently retired, on a fixed income - and I realized that I just can't continue to fund the many excellent writers that I'd like to support. Last week I cancelled the paid subscriptions for most of them. I kept yours. It's one of the best!
I am a happy subscriber and recommend your writing to everyone I meet. It is well worth the current subscription fee. In fact, I think you should charge more, you are worth it.
Sasha, you are a treasure, greatly to be valued for the benefit you provide to followers and subscribers no matter what. I am indebted to you and honored to be your subscriber at such a minuscule fraction of your worth as a provider of thought and beauty and encouragement in this landscape so full of insanity. Hearing your recent apology for not responding to your fanbase I thought without thinking, We love your content above any apology or direct response! Please, be Sasha! You are a force for positive truth and common sense, and I don’t want to miss a jot. Honestly, I am embarrassed not to have subscribed earlier than I did.

Wouldn’t that be great!
Great idea! MK likes Sasha a lot, I think.
That’s how I know about Sasha! Love MK
Hear, hear!!
Yesssssss

Yes, I had certain people who shall remain nameless in mind.
I really have no use for people who think they should get everything for free, and if they don’t, they are getting screwed.

Subscription with benefits? I think they were looking for a different relationship? 😁
Substack After Dark
I like it Substack After Dark! 💋🕯️🌝
You had to go there!
😆
Sasha, I enjoy good writing and opinions and you do it well…I have no issues with paying for it!

For me, Tiabbi epitomizes, true investigative journalism. I pay him an annual subscription, too, in appreciation for it.
Peachy Keenan is good!

I also appreciate Childers.
A Midwestern Doctor is my other paid subscription. Both AMD and Sasha are worth it.
You may also appreciate Sasha’s other substack where she reviews movies and Hollywood:

I would agree with that. The time, thought and energy processing a subscription has a cost.

I paid to subscribe because I like supporting awesomeness...

Agreed. Sasha is one of the VERY best.
I’ve never once regretted my annual subscription!

I think I would feel guilty taking your work product without paying. Your passion for writing is well worth my $7 (?)
You did what many of us would not have the courage to do… You are an inspiration and that’s worth paying for!
