I don't want to sound paranoid; nonetheless it did cross my mind that the demand for refund which winds up costing you $15.00 plus the original charge amount could be a deliberate way of causing you financial harm. Yes, I know that it is very unlikely, but much more unlikely events have proven to be authentic in the last 8 years when people have been driven by rage in their bubbles to do the unlikely. I love your work, think it a necessary public palliative, and will soon upgrade when my ongoing bills recede a bit.

It is unfair. They are scum. You are great.

I decided to upgrade to paid to support your work.

Just left $15 tip to cover the refund. I hope the POS that filed that dispute chokes on it.

Great idea - I did as well. However I only found the tip jar link when I tapped into Sasha’s link to her older Substack with instructions on how to get a refund - & there was the tip jar at the end of the article. I read Sasha in the app & would like to see the tip jar every issue. I’m sure it’s possible as other writers insert it. I bet it would remind people to give in appreciation of her work.

Good on you, Dena! Bravo.

I think most folks on this board appreciate Stone's work and give what and when they can. So, yay for those who support her in the way they are able to -- monetary or otherwise. :-)

You write beautifully.

“ Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

I’ve heard that somewhere 😂😂😂

It's worth paying for your work, Sasha. I see it as supporting free speech since much of what you write about wouldn't make it to MSM.

So annoying. Guessing it's jerks plus some malefactors.

Hang in there, Sasha. You're so well-informed and have unique insights into the anti-Trump hive. And, your essays/posts are fun to read because you're such a good writer.

I'll send you another tip, on top of my subscription. It seems someone is just being an ahole.

Thank you 🙏 Substack has turned subscriptions, upgrades and cancellations into a nightmare. MY PROBLEM IS NOT WITH YOUR WORK!

In the absence of any form of two way communication subscriptions are not a profit center. However the frustrations lead to decisions that call for not subscribing by the reader. I can’t speak for you but I suspect they also lose some writers. PLEASE. NO CHATBOTS OR VIRTUAL ASSISTANTS, or whatever euphemism occurs to them. Nothing is more fun than repeating a question 5 times.

Does RCP pay when they feature your work? Or do you pay them? It always makes me smile when I see your name over there.

You sure , do you spend a lot of time addressing this issue. If it's frustrating for me to be reminded how many people are unable to figure out basic routine financial transactions, I'm sure it's frustrating for you.

Raise your prices to cover the cost of bad actors. It's a cost of doing business. People who know will understand. Sorry to say, but I think that posts like this just encourage bad people.
