Remember what Trump said about the NSF. He reformed it by removing the blatant self-funding by members. Biden reversed that. So, we find out that the corruption at the top of NSF is employing the same coercion of media as the FBI did with Twitter and Facebook and what CDC/NIH did to trade periodicals and researchers.
Here’s an excellent video from Kim Iversen about how our deep state works with the EU to pass censorship laws which will boomerang back on America. Europe has no free speech laws so when they censor something like Elon’s “X” it will affect what he can allow here. The EU is a much bigger market so Elon will either have to comply or abandon Europe which would negatively affect his platform. Short video and Kim’s guest does an excellent job of explaining how our globalist ruling class, both here and in Europe, operates. All things are now global in our always online global civilization.
“The Censorship Industrial Complex Is Using This Insane Loophole To Censor Americans.” (10 min)
"Europe has no free speech laws" -- Exactly, but this also points the way forward for where this all needs to be headed: the USA needs to stop exporting war and start exporting our Constitution and Bill of Rights, globally. And this can only happen with regime change here and now, God willing.
Our reality war of the Woke vs the nonWoke, as Dave Rubin calls it, is very much a global war. All things are now global in our always online global civilization. Our ruling class also needs to stop exporting their poisonous Woke race and gender ideology which is rapidly turning the nonWestern world against America and the West.
Nothing new there (The ALA leaned left long before most people ever heard the word "woke"). But this has intensified in recent years. My personal opinion is that some of this is fueled by resentment. A lot of people don't even really know what a librarian is and can't distinguish between a professional librarian and a clerk who checks the books in and out. Librarians do not make big bucks and may feel disrespected. Good librarians roll their eyes at this and do their jobs, but others look for ways to make themselves more important (like changing the world with ideology instead of "just" being a good librarian).
When my husband, and I, and friends get discouraged by these events, I have to make a concerted effort to remember that people ARE waking up. This blog is an example. I believe the most effective weapon we can wield in this battle to destroy our country is our own voice— the courage to speak up—despite the attacks and censorship we will endure.
As Alvin Lui says, “Courage is a habit.” Let’s take this fight out into the streets by daring to speak up and out against the lies. If we don’t speak out, who will?
Worth noting that during the rise of National Socialism in Germany the SA (Brownshirts) carried a standard that featured a swastika with two words emblazoned on it: “Deutschland Erwache” which means “Germany Awake”.
The reason the Federal government is weaponized is that half the country wants it that way. They also control industry, financial institutions, education and the culture. Our choices are stark. We can try to seize control and counter-weaponize to consolidate the control or we can separate.
Jim Jordon’s comments at the last 3 minutes of the first hearing on Nov 30 should be plastered all over substack! I stood up in my living and gave a standing ovation to Matt T and Michael S (and others on Substack) for their work, integrity and dedication to our freedom of speech.
Eisen is deploying that old familiar tactic of the weaponization of victimhood. It's like the victimhood olympics and he's got the gold medal that no one can touch. He dishonors his ancestors by playing that victim card in his opening remarks as a blatant attempt at emotional manipulation. Shame on him.
Sadly, it seems like Orwell was 40 years early in his estimation of when the Liberty grabbers of the fascist far-left would come into vogue. Reading it back in the day was nothing like what was being portrayed, but now it’s a totally different story.
What is most infuriating is that the far-left keeps on projecting their fascism and authoritarianism as something that MIGHT happen with Trump, but in fact is HAPPENING WITH THEM right now.
"What is most infuriating is that the far-left keeps on projecting their fascism and authoritarianism as something that MIGHT happen with Trump, but in fact is HAPPENING WITH THEM right now."
You said the sentence here that I have been trying to craft to use on my friends. Recently one of them was going off on me about Evil Trump and Evil DeSantis, and I was trying to get some of that rage and terror redirected at the woke cult. She had never heard of it, because she watches MSNBC and NPR and that's it. She thinks the Democrats still support free speech, even though when I pushed her she wasn't all that supportive herself of our First A rights. At the end of this fruitless interaction she said, "I'm afraid of Trump, and you are afraid of this other thing." She kept referring to a "coup" that "almost happened and will if he gets elected." I told her that the coup already happened, was successful, and was carried out by people who are mostly members of the Democratic Party. It's amazing that people can't see how the country has changed, and even more, how they themselves have changed into the opposite of what they used to preach, and sort of still do.
This is the main problem that many of us of the pro-freedom right need to figure out.
How to talk to people like that and break through the programming.
How does anyone like that think they are getting both sides of the story?
I always try to look at what the other side is saying – and I’ve got the aspirin consumption to prove it- but it’s doubtful they do that because it would be hard to maintain their beliefs if they did.
Sites like ‘ground news’ are interesting because they have a section called ‘Blind spot’ because they have items both sides might be ignoring.
Humans incredible ability to deny facts must be super power developed to help us survive. Apparently we don’t now know why but I think it would be awesome for you to apply your PHD Education to finding out (how denial of facts helped humans survive and evolve).
That is a very interesting question, Libertarian. Psychologists, psychoanalysts and psychiatrists have a lot of thoughts and theories about denial. First thought is that denying that a problem exists is the bottom rung of dealing with the problem. It is characteristic of frightened children who cover their eyes to deal with the terror they feel about monsters under their bed or real monsters assaulting them in their homes. It is a coping style that does not involve facing a problem let alone trying to solve it. People who do this generally are too small or have not yet learned how to approach what is scary with an attitude of curiosity, courage, confidence and competence.
It is very common to see familes relying on denial as their primary coping strategy over the course of generations. Members in these families are "not allowed" to comment on the emperor's nakedness. Children who point out realities that are uncomfortable for parents are met with ridicule, shaming, dismissal, scolding, and even violence in some families. A lot of the behaviors that are currently being categorized as "gaslighting" are simply acts of denial of the existence of a problem.
Psychoanalysts say that individuals whose primary psychological "defenses" consist of denial are operating at the lowest level of psychological "sophistication." These are unskilled people, people who don't know how to do better, people who experience life as uncontrollable events and experiences happening to them. Projection is another "primitive" (i.e., low level) defense that usually accompanies denial. Projection is a way of "explaining" an unwanted reality that is experienced as coming at the person from a "bad" outside force. Denial can only go so far to get rid of a problem that is big and obvious. Projection kicks in when the problem persists and becomes undeniable. In this stage, the problem is acknowledged but is perceived as being caused by bad sources that are outside of the self. People who rely on projection often use it to "get rid of" their own feelings, if they can't cope with them. This is why the woke people constantly attack the rest of us with blaming statements and character assassinations---they can't face the fact that they are feeling and doing forbidden things (racism, sadism, etc.).
Denial is very prevalent in most human cultures, because the majority of people still have so much difficulty recognizing that the most effective way to address a problem is to approach it rather than running away and hiding from it.
Thank you, Libertarian. I must admit, however, that I did not fully answer your question about the survival value of denial as a defense against threatening realities. For children, denial enables them to have a sense of partial security in abusive homes, when the full realization of parental violence or negligence creates disabling levels of terror. But for adults, one has to continue to wonder why the frontal approach hasn't been favored as much by evolution as ignoring the threat.
And how do we explain that the current ruling class, which has made pop "therapy" part of its religion, has at the same time become incapable of rational thought? I think that the overwhelming threat at the present time is the disintegration of Western Civ, which most people feel without necessarily knowing why we feel so terrible inside. The sense of powerlessness in the face of a threat that is perceived, not denied, causes the frantic projecting of sin, aggression and blame onto certain groups in our culture. Preferably individuals and groups that are vulnerable to expulsion, annihilation or exorcism.
I don't know if people are just a lot stupider and less rational that I thought they were, or if their thought processes have degraded to a lower, "primitive" level. I think both are probably true, but I believe that the degradation is the better explanation for what I see. Under these conditions of high fear coupled with decreased ability to face and address the real causes of problems, authoritarian leaders have always prospered. The Democrats have an accurate understanding there, and they are dealing with it via projection.
It's probably better relationship to "Animal Farm" than "1984". "No question, now, what had happened to the faces of the pigs. The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which."
And 40+ years late in warning us, considering our modern State was birthed by Wilson and the Progressives, just another word for Authoritarian Socialism.

The rot is systemic.
The Democrats (including the ambassador) are surreal in their TDS. Absolutely bizarre.

Where's the American Library Association on this book censorship?
The ALA has definitely tilted to the Woke Ideology side.

The willful blindness of the Democrat members of these committees are another gaslighting hoax on the public.

The new concept in the Censorship Industrial Complex is malinformation. This is stuff that is actually true but is inconvenient to TPTB.
Worth noting that during the rise of National Socialism in Germany the SA (Brownshirts) carried a standard that featured a swastika with two words emblazoned on it: “Deutschland Erwache” which means “Germany Awake”.
Same stuff, different decade.
Oh great, here we go again.. another addition to the list.
We’ve been documenting all the similarities between the National Socialist German Workers' Party and the ‘Democratic’ National Socialist Party.

We’re up to more than 40 of these and as we research each item, new ones crop up such as that.

Why is it that Eisen is so blind to what we are going through? He seems like he's a cult member.
