As Vance said: Close the border and then we can talk about deportation. Of course, it will be triaged with the criminals getting deported first. There are 1 million criminals who require deportation. We get that done and then draw another line and deport more. We will never be able to deport all 25 Million or more illegals, and probably won't want to as many are completely integrated. But at least, immigrants should need to go back across the border and reapply for admission. It is also bogus to claim that the Senate bill that Lankford unfortunately helped draft, but then later voted against, would solve any problems. NO!!! Because it allowed 5000 illegals a day for a week before the border was "closed" whatever that means when there are giant holes in it currently
Venezuela refuses to accept deported Venezuelans plus the democrats will use lawfare to keep them all here. They’ve already said this. Each case will get tied up in court.
How bloodthirsty Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua used NYC migrant shelters to build a criminal empire: ‘Hiding in plain sight.’
Walz got his ass kicked tonight. It’s why he kept returning to what’s going on in State of Minnesota, his safety blanket. Because he had such a hard task of defending the last 3.5 years of Biden/Kamala, especially when JD shined a super bright light on all the shitty parts of the current administration (which there are many)
That’s my point, it is hard to defend the current administration of which Kamala played a key role in, casting several tie breaking Senate votes for bad policies. Walz had to stand and defend a 3.5 year shit show. I won’t give him a break though, because he wants to win and bring us more of the same.
Or, the lack of policy as the "Border Czar"; she finally got to the AZ border last week (only 3 1/2 years late) in a blatantly political move that pissed more people off than it satisfied
I hear ya. I feel like a big win was behavior. That is to say, Vance came off human and balanced and disciplined. And because of that, all the attempts by Walz and Harris and MSM to spin JD as unlikable and repulsive, and "weird" ---completely backfired. Vance came off concerned, overly wonky, but still command of his game. He was polite "may I..." to the moderators. etc.
Where Vance was overly wonky at times and guilty of TMI, Walz talked a lot about nothing, all over the place and confused his points, got lost, didn't finish what he was saying.. And His answer about being in China was ...like, wow! what? And his finishing statement felt physically "defensive" not "offensive" --and bc of diminished what he was trying to convey. Vance came off optimistic and grateful in the closing statement.
“Vance came off optimistic and grateful in the closing statement.”
Plus Vance is simply much better looking which always matters. Walz looks old and dumpy. I’m amazed that guy is only 60. He could easily pass for 75. Some say a vp debate doesn’t matter but this time I think it matters greatly.
As a former Minnesotan, I am amazed that Kamala was stupid enough to pick Walz (actually, not really). She picks PA Gov Shapiro and it is over: game, set, match.
So weird that Walz said that only hate speech was being censored! Is it possible Walz really believes this??? Like Vance said, what about ideas like not vaccing toddlers, which were heavily censored. I would have like to see Vance press harder on points like this. But I suspect TrumpTeams strategy was to favor moderation over polerization, so as to appeal to the undecided voters in the middle.
Indeed. and suppose just suggesting that both parties have failed democracy is daring enough, perhaps shocking for the MS-DNC blue people to even hear, for most likely, the very first time. Maddow wouldn't have told them, nor those awful ABC people from the last debate... But yes, Vance could have then gone at least another 30 seconds, looking at the camera and informing, 'like when Zuckerberg was told to discredit the Hunter laptop business as misinformation or just conspiracy theories from nut-jobs---just prior to the election, but it was actually true, so equaled election interference. That was your blue team, Governor Walz, which was censoring free speech/and the democratic free press. Proud? Is Kamala for more of that?
THEN, he would look at the camera again, and assert: 'Governor Walz, in the honor of our 1st and 4th amendments against the truly existential threat that is government surveillance, would you like to join me tonight to pledge a pardon for Edward Snowden?'
Just driving home from work, from an 'in-office' day and on the radio, the local guy named Doug Sovereign immediately began his debate report as follows: "JD Vance was slick and lied a lot..." That is what passes for journalism in my blue area., OR everyone knows it's not really and doesn't care.
The point being that the entire reason for "Freedom of Speech" is to allow ALL speech. So-called "hate speech" (very subjective) is the speech requiring protection. The speech you want to hear requires none.
I think it was a strategic move that worked in Vance's favor. You know the score, it's all over x and online. Litigating on a debate isn't going to work out. Esp when moderators are biased. It's not worked for four years, so i feel the win is that Vance appeared capable of leading the senate and being presidential. Walz did not. At times I felt baffled, like, this guy's a governor? Really? It's like, seriously, why did Kamala Harris pick this guy?! wow. just. baffling.
Exactly....we all know that Jan 6 was a setup of Trump by the Dem Establishment (and maybe a few RINOs). The FBI was neck deep in the setup, including placing fake bombs at the DNC and RNC HQ near the Capital building. Pelosi intentionally left the Capital unprotected even though Trump requested National Guard and additional fencing (like they put up for the inauguration). The Capital Police, run by the DC Mayor, hard Dem apparatchik, also had been rigged to make Trump look bad. The FBI agents inserted into the (totally unarmed) crowd cajoled them to break in, which most did reluctantly until many people were walking through opened doors. I never heard the Dem party complain about all the police injuries and even deaths during the "Summer of Love" 6 months before. The intent of Pelosi and the top of the Dem party (Obama) was to muddy up Trump and the GOP so badly they could never win another national election. But they left a lot of loose ends so it failed. You are not going to unravel a deep state conspiracy in 2 mins during a debate
That's how you get to ideocracy. Each successive President picks a progressively stupider running mate and you go from Obama, to Biden, to Kamala to Walz. And if by hook or crook they're elected, what R U going to do? Homestead in Ukraine?
What they never showed in the movie Idiocracy was the Deep State Blob like it didn't exist. The idiocracy was portrayed as oblivious to it. We're headed there.
Here is Tim Walz getting caught in his own lie about restrictions on gestational age of a fetus in an abortion. JD Vance said Walz had signed a law with no age restrictions, nothing close to the 15 weeks that is globally the mean. Walz claimed Vance was lying about that and that he should know the law he signed. Yes, he should. But he lied: https://checkyourfact.com/2024/08/22/fact-check-is-abortion-legal-until-fetal-viability-in-minnesota/
Now Walz says Trump is a union-buster (said no one but Walz, ever). Trump has been endorsed by a majority of union employees, if not the union bosses. As for mandatory paid parental leave, maybe Fortune 500 companies can afford that by spreading the cost over the entire organization. If you own a small company with 4 employees, and I do, that will bankrupt you. Let the market decide. If someone really values paid parental leave, they will seek out those companies for a job.
America agrees immigration is the #2 issue in the country today, the economy #1. These dolts just cut off these two gents in the middle of a healthy discussion.
Now they're making the Democrats case against Trump's economic plan.
Will Fox News ever get a swing at moderating an EVEN & FAIR debate?
It is conceivable, though highly improbable, that a horrible gaffe could have a negative affect. As Nixon once said, the VP pick can only do harm, not good.
Both were right at the end though. Trump was a sore loser/brat who lost all the lawsuits and Vance still won't admit it; and then, Vance was right how the dems threw out the 1st amendment and intentionally blue-teamed the media. Couldn't help but think, even at their worst, both are better than their top of tickets...
I thought it was cool to be a brat, now. Brat summer. Right?
Most of the lawsuits in the 2020 election were thrown out due to limited time to investigate before inauguration and / or Democrat judges who we know from the Supreme Court have no qualms about putting party and ideology before justice. The GOP has been much more aggressive with legal actions BEFORE the election this time acknowledging there is not enough time, 6 weeks, mostly over Holidays, after the election to get anything done.
Here’s an excellent video of Rep. Massie trying, and failing, to get some answers from a government official about FBI involvement in the Jan 6 “Insurrection!” A very good example of why I so totally distrust the despicable Democratic Party, their media, and our “fellow Americans” who support this monstrosity that has ruined our once great nation with their open borders, demonization of “Whiteness!” and their war on meritocracy which is being replaced with Equity aka race based Equal Outcomes. Excerpts below are from the description of the video. Trust is an essential ingredient for the cohesion of a country and ours is gone. Check out the comments on the video.
“Rep. Thomas Massie accused Attorney General Merrick Garland on Wednesday of lying during a House Judiciary Committee hearing about his knowledge of federal law enforcement activities during the Jan. 6,
2021, Capitol riot.”
“Massie (R-Ky.) previously tangled with Garland in October 2021 over the same issue, questioning whether undercover FBI agents were present at the storming of the Capitol.”
“Breaking: DOJ report shows FBI field sources stormed the Capitol on January 6th.”

Here is the fact check on that. 0.73% of single family homes are owned by institutional investors. That is NOT the problem. The problem is restrictions on building due to permitting, including EPA restrictions: "In aggregate, Parcl Labs calculates institutional operators own around 0.73% of the total U.S. single-family housing stock (less than one in 100 homes), with it reaching as high as 4.4% in the Atlanta-metro market." https://www.fastcompany.com/91002153/how-much-of-the-housing-market-does-wall-street-really-own-heres-what-the-data-says
Maybe we can pass a Constitutional Amendment barring illegal aliens from ever having any "path to citizenship". Better yet, maybe we can pass a Constitutional Amendment denying birthright citizenship before the age of 18. I can dream ...
Meanwhile, back on Planet Earth, I see that Demos (in positions of leadership) have no objection to Brazil having become a Leftist One-Party State rather than a democracy. Preview of Coming Attractions. Only lack of power, not lack or will, will prevent Demos from doing the same in America.
While we're at it, let's bring back slavery. We need the cheap labor to do ungodly tasks. But let's do it right this time. None of that racial stuff. Citizens who can pay their debts and taxes remain free. Aliens are enslaved and emancipated for good behavior.
And what about empaneling a chain gang with homeless tweakers picked up of streets.
That is your Democrat party, importing the cheap slave labor, to displace "priveleged white people" at a fraction of the cost. Democrats are the party of slavery. Always were. Still are.
Those really thinking outside the box are Muslims. Islam explicitly permits not only slaves but rape of slaves. Sunni Islam is, practically speaking, nothing but a demand that Islamic law must be implemented, "by any means necessary", in order to create a perfect society. No doubt that Taliban has been making great progress on this project.
Immigrants, legal or not, increase demand for a fixed supply (fixed by govt restrictions on building). You seem like someone with a college education. What did you learn in Econ 101 about supply and demand?
Thanks, Sasha. Would have liked some more commentary from Matt & Company during the debate. Yes?
Otherwise, Walz got creamed because of the fact his entire rebuttal consistently referred to giving up another segment of issues to the USG to decide and implement. Probably had to do with the influence of His master- The CCP - China.🤷♀️
You might have missed the opening when he narrated how he decided to bring innocent children to China to witness the "brighter side" of Communism, apparently. After he spent taxpayers money to travel there in the first place. He sure does know how to spend other people's money to enrich his own life. Another democrat "qualification".
He did what to begin with? I thought he went there as an English teacher for a year. I used to read Pearl S. Buck books, and Deng Li Jun songs, then along comes the 5th Generation directors like Chen Kai Ge and Zhang Yi Mou, and Cui Jian made an album called 'Rock n Roll for the New Long March.' etc. and who would not want to support the people after June 1989? So, I thought about that too, but was ultimately advised by a local that it was not a respectable job. I don't begrudge people who did, tho. If you have some evidence of how he spent other peoples' money to enrich his own life, please provide links. thanks.
You don't need "links" because that's what governments do and he's apparently a governor, correct. I'm not taking the bait. Please move on.
There's NEVER going to be peace on earth or any globalist fantasy with AMERICANS "in the way". Forget about it. As long as there's all those people that want to make everything work so well BUT ONLY as long as they keep their positions like you mentioned.
I don't have a communist fantasy bubble. I don't even like fantasy football. I only like some supportive evidence to severe charges. You know, like Rudy and Eastman and so forth were unable to provide for stopping the uh, steal.
I’m not a fan of China but if you compare Beijing and Shanghai to our major cities in terms of cleanliness, safety and functionality they are way ahead and the world easily sees this difference online. This is one of the reasons why so many countries are abandoning America and the West in favor of the Russia/China led BRICS.
Then don't buy into the existential facades. America could BE AND LOOK 100 percent better in those terms if the USG stopped with the collusion & pandering being some kind of world police state and so forth. And spending every dime on everyone elses problems EXCEPT AMERICA's. Isn't that obvious to everyone - yet!?. 💯🔥💯
Thankfully I watched on Rumble. Wanted to not give ScrewTube the extra view. Loved the show and you and Walter’s perspective. I only pay for this subscription for watching the two of you. So fun and informative! Keep it up gentleman and loved y’all at RTR!
Since I have been mightily annoyed by seeing a false history of Austin, I will create a true one.
The main change has been that the population (of the metro) is now 10 times what it was when I was young. After the days when my father overthrew conservative government, which was wildly inappropriate in what Repos now call "The People's Republic of Austin", before in effect retiring the main focus of political conflict was, for about ten or fifteen years, "the Environmentalists" vs. "The Developers". Fortunately, the environmentalists won. If the developers had had their way, the hills that were once west of Austin but are now in Austin would have had all of their trees cut down in order to build "sub-divisions" (or whatever). Instead, there is now a large park in NW Austin, surrounded by the city, where only occasional "hill-perched" mansions can be seen. Otherwise, it successfully presents the illusion of being (scrubbily) forested ridges in the middle of nowhere. (See: "St. Edwards Greenbelt images".) Too bad the spring-fed stream that is supposed to be its highlight, complete with turtles and very hard to spot fish, is now, of course, dying, due to the area becoming much hotter and drier than it was only about 15 years ago. (Snails of one type are now rare, and slugs are gone.) Just as bad is that what was once the characteristic spirit of Austin, good-natured tolerance (as seen by its role in creating the cult of Rocky Horror) is now completely dead, replaced instead by the the usual Far Left foul-tempered self-righteous intolerance. A city that was once great, in its own small, way, is now "lost and gone forever". Oh well.
Margaret is making the immigration issue about deportation. There is no deportation issue if we didn't have an IMPORTATION issue.
As Vance said: Close the border and then we can talk about deportation. Of course, it will be triaged with the criminals getting deported first. There are 1 million criminals who require deportation. Agreed
No one who entered illegally or made false claim of asylum should ever be able to earn citizenship; possibly legal residency but never citizenship
I cannot stomach my lying Governor Tim Jong Walz. It has only been a handful of minutes.
Walz got his ass kicked tonight. It’s why he kept returning to what’s going on in State of Minnesota, his safety blanket. Because he had such a hard task of defending the last 3.5 years of Biden/Kamala, especially when JD shined a super bright light on all the shitty parts of the current administration (which there are many)
I don't think he did, although of course, MINN he had something to do with and geez, how would YOU defend Kamala? give him a break..

Or, the lack of policy as the "Border Czar"; she finally got to the AZ border last week (only 3 1/2 years late) in a blatantly political move that pissed more people off than it satisfied
On the other hand, I was told repeatedly what a bleep hole Vance was, and listening to him tonight, I have no idea why someone would call him that...
Vance came off optimistic and grateful in the closing statement.

My ex-governor, too. I couldn't take the commies in Minnesota any longer and had to leave the state.
Why did Vance not slam Walz about his lie about police officers being killed on January 6
It absolutely did not happen!
The only fatality was an unarmed veteran who was legally protesting
The Dems have lied about this so many times that in their mind it has become the truth
I think it was a strategic move that worked in Vance's favor. You know the score, it's all over x and online. Litigating on a debate isn't going to work out. Esp when moderators are biased. I don't have a communist fantasy bubble. I don't even like fantasy football. I only like some supportive evidence to severe charges. You know, like Rudy and Eastman and so forth were unable to provide for stopping the uh, steal.
Are you an attorney?
Awesome.
Confucious say she bail on one cult soon find nother.
Oh well.
Some people don't like change of any kind.
