Hey Sasha, thank-you for continuing to post these because it is from your brief introductions and the commentators that I learn. Regarding Abbot, it is my understanding that he is is two years late to the game, especially for a Texan and nominal Republican, in trying to protect Texans. It seems like the Democratic Party is punishing Texans by flooding them with immigrants from Africa and South America. Like a very effective ethnic cleansing of Texans and coming soon to a state the rest of us are in.
I would have preferred quicker action too but it is hard for someone steeped in normal politics to come to the realization of exactly how lawless the *Biden junta and the Supreme Court actually are. Even the Founders took years after the first incidents and more than a year after after the first large scale battles to get to the Declaration. They weren't bloviating when they pledged their lives, fortunes and sacred honor. It remains to be seen whether we get to April 18 but the possibility exists.
Here’s a video about the most amazing thing I’ve seen so far about AI. Are we living in a simulation? Some scientists believe we are and quantum physics also indicates we are. This video is about yet another indication of why some scientists believe this. This scientist in the video clip is a top scientist at Nvidia. Believe me, this is well worth listening to very carefully plus besides what it’s telling us about the nature of reality (I personally believer the “simulation” is a dream in the mind of God who also infinitely transcends his creation) this is also telling us that the exponential advance of AI is now going to be on steroids. Strange days are upon us. No denying that. The best of times. The worst of times. Our situation in a nutshell.

I was able to still get the video on my iPad but they did change the title. I added the new title and copied the video again so it should work now. I recommend watching at least the first minute where the quote is from although the whole video is well done and worth watching. I highly recommend looking into what scientists like Rizwan Virk are saying about quantum physics. There is a section in the book “The Simulation Hypothesis” by Rizwan Virk about religion and science. Quite fascinating. Article and quotes below are from article about him. I just now checked to see if the article is still there. It is but the quotes are gone. Perhaps it was edited to shorten it. I’m sure they’re by him though so I left them here. I might have even gotten the quotes from his book.

Noting that hindsight is 20 20; I think i could have a) boycotted MSM sooner and harder, b) donated more to PACs, politicians and journalists that better represent our principles, c) been more vocal in opposing evil, d) listened more carefully to independent voices, and e) been less confident that good would readily prevail over corruption.
To expand on Tucker's speech, how much of the problems of mankind stem from the lack of these three things in the hearts of those who are not otherwise evil? How many people are not so much bad as weak? How many good deeds are not done by people who do not have the strength, either physical or mental to accomplish them? How much trouble comes from a simple lack of wisdom? I would maintain that they are critical for maintaining a good and free country. Lacking in all three, I make it a point to every day ask God for wisdom, strength and courage. Why should Solomon have all the fun?
To clarify, a person who lacks critical thinking skills is not wise, so critical thinking is under the heading of wisdom. Wisdom then requires a bit more, such as life experience, etc. Your comment caused me to think more about that. Don't know if you've seen this essay of mine:
In theory, what you say is true. But in practice, the word "wisdom" does not particularly suggest "critical thinking". For example, the saying "With age comes wisdom" does not conjure up images of codgers pointing out fallacies. The main reason that the old are traditionally considered wise is that they have, for obvious reasons, a much greater knowledge base than do youngsters. Some of this is pattern recognition, like "If you start talking bad about him, he's going to hear about it". And some of this is one kind of critical thinking: "X -> Y, not Y -> not X".
But another part of critical thinking, not having any necessary connection with "greater knowledge base", is recognizing fallacies. (I was very disappointed to see Douglas Murray use the word "fallacy", only to find out that by fallacy he meant "argument that is wrong", not "argument that is logically invalid". And he's a Oxford guy. How the once mighty have fallen ...) I have found that Lefty arguments are simply riddled with fallacies, routinely employed with an air of triumphalism. An adequate education in fallacies could be achieved in about 30 minutes, enabling any one of us to have, in most cases, a three-word One-Size-Fits-All response to their nonsense: "Name the fallacy". It seems to me that the main thing we need at this very dangerous moment in our history is a self-education in fallacies. Talking to each other is not going to change any minds. But if we are going to get out of the echo chamber, we need to have something to say ...
Tucker is spot-on about Canadians. They can’t seem to discus the hard topics of it involves them not being ‘nice’. At least that’s what I see from the west coast Canadians.
The fact that we own guns and aren’t afraid to use them to provide food or to protect those we love, drives them crazy.
Their desire to always be nice is going to back them into a corner soon. There are people you just can’t be nice to.
Love your neighbor if he’s worthy.
Otherwise build a big fence, and as Jordan Peterson says, be dangerous. It’s the only way you can be strong enough to be moral.
Carlson at one point said the phrase "acts of hostility". As far as I can see, what might be called Former Far Left ideology is nothing but a set of pretexts for "acts of hostility".
Tucker for Prime Minister! Alberta and Saskatchewan are the two sane provinces in this country. Justin (Mr. Freeze) Trudeau has almost destroyed this once great nation. British Columbia is our California. The feds want to make sure we have enough weed and fentanyl to keep us dopey and sick so then they can get rid of us through MAID which is actuallhy Mediacally Assisted Homicide. Unless these political parasites are defeated in 2025 this once great beautiful and magnificent Dominion will be laid to rest. Mr. Freeze has no time for this country and its values and traditions, and like Barry and the Docile Mannequin he is on a mission to totally chande us. Sadly many Canucks are to too immersed in themslves to se what is going on.
I love to watch Jordan Peterson's inveighing against Trudeau. Consider the following three people: Jordan Peterson, Tucker Carlson, Douglas Murray. Consider how sane each man is, how perceptive. People who follow them understand that each man's country would have a first rate leader if Peterson were Prime Minister; Carlson, President; and Murray, Prime Minister.
I remember the IRA hunger strike and think it significantly, though not completely, improved the situation for Irish. “One hunger striker, Bobby Sands, was elected as a member of parliament during the strike, prompting media interest from around the world.[2] The strike was called off after ten prisoners had starved themselves to death, including Sands, whose funeral was attended by 100,000 people.[1] The strike radicalised Irish nationalist politics and was the driving force that enabled Sinn Féin to become a mainstream political party.” https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1981_Irish_hunger_strike
Takes very brave people to starve themselves to death for others.
My father was Irish Catholic. Seems to me we should get some reparations from the English for the centuries of oppression our ancestors experienced under the English. I’ll always remember an Assyrian from Iraq at work telling me how his people were also hunted for extermination by the Turks during the Armenian genocide. I told him his people have a terrible history. He said “Oh yes! Very terrible!” No denying our fallen world is full of evil but also many beautiful things so it’s not all bad, at least for those of us who can avoid being the victims of an extermination campaign.
I’ve never understood how the whole ‘Cloward-Piven’ strategy was supposed to work out.
The nation’s authoritarian socialist left massively messes everything up, overloading the system, and we’re supposed to put the same people in charge of FIXING it?
Step 1 in a wider secession movement. If we're lucky, All the flyover states will vote to secede from the coasts in time for the election. One can only hope!
No, the Damm city Yankees got all the lawyers and money. Guns and ammo we got. The political map of CT. looks a lot like the national one, a whole lot of rural red with islands of blue.
I’m from Minnesota and it’s the same thing here we’re right close to the border of Canada and the whole avoidance of open discussion is real but I will say the Minnesotans are more ruthless and evil in the liberal party because they will rip you apart
I moved back MN, when I grew up, after 14 years in France, to see how the evil left is destroying the state; if they already haven’t. Walz is a murdered for killing the elderly during the plandemic, he lied while the city of Minneapolis burned. George Floyd was not murdered. Now they’ll take you kids from you if you don’t let them be castrated and have legalized infanticide. Evil people !
Many good people though do terrible things because they’re misinformed and believe they’re doing good things. The road to hell is paved with good intentions by good people. Your friends and family on the left are supporting people who are leading us to hell with things like open borders, their war on meritocracy, their demonizing of “Whiteness!” and poisoning public school children with their Woke race and gender ideology which are destroying the country. They strongly support people who are leading us to hell so what good is their goodness?
"what good is their goodness?" you ask. Very good question. The only answer I can come up with is that they can still be 'converted' and that they can, once awakened, still serve good purposes. I see them as future allies in this struggle, kind of like a tug-o-war between good and evil over public opinion. “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.”
People with good hearts and faulty minds are the ones who’ve paved the road to hell with the best of intentions. I live in Chicago and often see news videos about the “migrant crisis” here which worsens by the day not only here but nation-wide. Many of the white people they interview say we need to do everything we can to help them. They have the best of intentions but don’t understand that no borders means no country and no country is one of the many roads to hell.
As far as Abbott, better late than never. Kudos to the 13 states that have already committed to sending troops to Texas: Arkansas, Florida, Oklahoma, Idaho, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, and West Virginia
This is a bit of a silly ‘Mexican standoff’ in that Cartels can take thier human $ immigrants to different areas for passage, other than Eagle Pass. Cartels charge these illegal immigrants for cross border and in some cases ‘collect’ over time after new migrant gain work in USA. Cartels are even now directing migrants to settle down in certain counties in USA where the Cartel is entrenched. It’s a lucrative, no risk business for Cartels, and when there’s a big push of 500/600 people at once, easier to smuggle in drugs.
Here is story on Cartels using colored wrist band system, perhaps to keep track of who’s paid and who hasn’t, or to ID who’s muling drugs:
Illegal immigration on south border was an estimated $13B dollar biz for Cartels in 2022, likely now even higher.
If Trump gets elected, there is going to be even more massive surges of illegal migrants between Nov ‘24 and Jan ‘25. More will try to get in before Trump drops the hammer
Thanks, Sasha. Isn't Texas the only state that can leave the United States because they were an independent nation when they joined the US? Be interesting to see how that works out.
I just learned that Abbott called up the Texas STATE Guard to Eagle Pass and not the Texas National Guard. This is an important distinction. Because the Texas State Guard cannot be nationalized, and only reports to Gov. Abbott. I never knew Texas had this and it’s brilliant they do. Indeed, this makes things even more interesting.
No, but it entered the Union under a provision that it could divide into as many as five states if it wished. I wonder what the Department of Justice and the Supreme Court would make of it if Texas set about to do that?

And it's not like the schools are helping.
In a sense, they are helping themselves: indoctrination and critical thinking are mortal enemies.
