I thought this was Tucker’s worst interview. This guy revealed nothing & gave us little insight into how the CIA works. Tucker kept pressing. He asked him about the CIA being involved in the JFK assassination.

Mr Hudson responded with an immediate & curt denial. End of discussion. It was like this the whole way through. Towards the end Tucker commented on how “diplomatic” he was. I’d call it chicken shit.

I’d bet my subscription to TCN.com that Tucker felt the same way.

I'm in 100% agreement. He brings on a CIA apologist and doesn't really challenge him at all. Easily his worst interview -- even worse than the interview of the guy who blew Obama.

I agree. I was hoping for more but I guess the guy is both still working and also at risk of punishment if he reveals too much.

This interview seemed like the deep state decided to send someone around to be interviewed by Tucker before Trump takes office. Nice respectable retiree telling us how the CIA kept us safe all these years. Nothing to see here. Just move along.

Heyyyy, this ex-CIA guy basically says WMD was a false flag. How is that possible?! Next someone will suggest the CIA/FBI also fabricated or lied about J6, Nordstream, Steel dossier, Hunter laptop, Butler sniper, Green Beret Vegas bombing, Army vet NO attack, Israel attack on USS Liberty, Gulf of Tonkin incident leading to Vietnam war, etc.

I for one say that what the CIA/FBI/NYT prints is truth and if it means going to war than by golly we should send every single 18 year old girl and boy to go to Iran and Gaza and die for our Allie’s in need.

Question Seva: do you have your own Substack?

If not, perhaps you should consider doing so, rather than hijacking other people’s sites to expound upon whatever it is you are excited about that day.

Obviously, you are all for the new Revolution of AI, but interjecting it here almost obsessively is, #1, completely off topic of Sasha’s articles, and actually most inconsiderate if not downright rude.

I suggest you create your own Substack or website where you can freely propound on all the wonders of AI or whatever you like, and where others so likeminded can join in. But to use others Substack’s for your own ends is no different than spamming.

In short, please stick to the subject, or peddle your wares elsewhere.

I suggest you block me so you won’t have to see anything about AI again. Shouldn’t that be the obvious solution to stop being irritated by what I post? Believe it or not, I don’t care what you think so if you don’t block me you’ll just have to learn to live with the pain and suffering you feel when seeing me post about AI on Sasha’s site. Plus I don’t only post about AI. When I see an exceptionally beautiful video such as the one from GoPro I post it for others to see. If beauty also irritates you then that’s just all the more reason to block me. Perhaps you should consider getting a new Substack name. My suggestion is “Ms Grumpy.”

Hi Suzie, i disagree because AI is indeed frequently becoming an ever more important aspect of our lives politically, culturally and in nearly every way. Plus, many subscribers have replied to Seva mentioning how much more informed they were because of him. Seva has a large group of military veteran followers here also; he’s a Marine. He is obviously not trying to sell or hijack anything. Relative to most of us, he’s expert in AI and shares that expertise to compliment the stories. Maybe you could thank Seva for his military service in defending your right to freedom of speech?

I have absolutely nothing against Seva, and his enthusiasm for AI and much of what he propounds is interesting and informative, which is why I recommend he open his own Substack or website, where he can do so freely and breathlessly.

But if I had a Substack about cooking, say, it would be something I worked hard on, and put a lot of my time and effort into creating and sharing with others, and the comment section I would expect would be the place for my readers to share their same thoughts and ideas on the subject of cooking, and not AI.

As for Seva’s service, yes, I am grateful for that, and as I said, his knowledge and enthusiasm for AI is all well and good.

But inserting it here, as he does time and again, having nothing to do with this Substack author’s article, serves only as a thoroughly off-topic distraction, as well as inconsiderate, to say the least, to the actual Substack author’s hard work, and to their readership.

Thanks Suzie. Would be interesting to hear Sasha’s view on this. I see you point. For me, part of why I like Sasha’s work is because of commenters like you, Richard, grandma, and especially the many veterans that subscribe like Seva, Matt, Danimal and others. Anyway, Happy New Year and hopefully we can find some middle ground.

Thanks, Libertarian. I’m not an expert on AI but I am bright enough to recognize those who are such as Elon, Ilya Sutskever, Ray Kurzweil and others like them. Most people don’t understand how amazing this is, not because they’re too stupid but because it’s too new and seemingly too impossible. This is the collapse of our old reality and the emergence of a new reality in real time before our very eyes. Not surprising then that so many don’t see it. They soon will.

Really impressive. A good example of why I’m such a huge fan of the internet and of YouTube. So much information about all kinds of things, so easy to find such beautiful things like this video. My cats are my family. I have no social life, not because I’m anti-social but because I prefer my online, indoor life with my cats. A strange life but I enjoy it and it has enabled me to shape my life very well, no financial problems, excellent health and fitness plus I’m endlessly fascinated by this strange new AI reality that’s already upon us and moving so fast. The best of times. The worst of times. That’s our situation in a nutshell.

Probably will be like that in a real war. Elon says these big aircraft carriers and planes are just sitting ducks and will easily be taken down by drones. I hope Elon can prevail. Fortunately he’s got Trump on his (our)side. A new one by Jo A Ram on the violin. She likes to do remakes of those old songs. She’s very talented. It is strange though how everything is so global now. And it’s also great to see Elon pounding the Woke leaders in UK and Germany who’ve ruined those countries.

Simone Weil is my favorite Western mystic. Ethnically Jewish but a Christian mystic who also admired the Eastern religions and believed they also led to God.

Many say we need to return to Christianity to save America but we have totally failed to control our dark side though and even in medieval times when everyone believed in God, Satan, Sin, Heaven and Hell people did a very poor job of it. They were always killing witches and their cats, Jews and other Christians. History seems to often be just a story of people killing each other for all kinds of reasons or no particular reason at all. Isn’t it time to face the fact that religion is not going to save us?

A standard response to this is that these people in the past weren’t practicing “real religion.” But this reasoning is no different than leftists who say “real socialism/communism” would be wonderful but people keep making a mess of it. Blame people, not socialism/communism. If only we tried “real socialism/communism” it’d be wonderful. Far too wonderful to give up on. Let’s try it again. Maybe it’ll work this time. Wouldn’t that be wonderful?

Isn’t it time we face the fact that human nature is the problem that always plagues us? Since self aware AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) would be aware of both the good and the evil in human nature wouldn’t it be more likely to follow the good side just as many humans do? Wouldn’t it be likely to have a sense of commonality with humans since we created and raised it? At least that’s how it all seems to me.

“Our Constitutional Republic system is probably best that we can do in this life, I believe.”

I agree but it’s obviously not good enough. Few people have any interest in AI but I follow it and believe it will be a game changer for us all and will alter our present path which is taking us to the abyss. A year from now most people will be aware of it.

Here’s a couple of excerpts I saw from a Wikipedia article about these “Neural Networks” and a quote from one of them: “They can learn from experience, and can derive conclusions from a complex and seemingly unrelated set of information.” In other words, they are capable of learning, reasoning and some say are already indicating a level of self-awareness. This is spooky, astonishing and already upon us. This is what Elon understands and is committed to guiding to a successful outcome. We should all support him. And if you paid any attention to what I post about AI you’d already know this.

“In machine learning, a neural network (also artificial neural network or neural net, abbreviated ANN or NN) is a model inspired by the structure and function of biological neural networks in animal brains.”

“Artificial neural networks are used for various tasks, including predictive modeling, adaptive control, and solving problems in artificial intelligence. They can learn from experience, and can derive conclusions from a complex and seemingly unrelated set of information.”

There's a difference, I believe, between Christianity the religion with many different interpretations, and what we think of as Christian morals, which could also be viewed as natural law: a system of law based on observation of human nature and values intrinsic to human nature. It's a kind of do unto others philosophy.

As well as much positive, Christianity also brought us the Inquisition and numerous other atrocities and abuses. Why? Because people still decide how to implement the moral foundation whether religion or politics is in charge. And people are easily corrupted by power.

The answer, I believe, is not a decision between whether we want potentially corrupt politicians or a potentially corrupt priest class to rule us, but how do we teach people to take responsibility for themselves, their families and their own communities.

Looking at the Bible for insight, we learn that once the Isrealites are in the promised land, God is hesitant to assign any one person to the role of leader. He offers a system of self government that seems workable. But the people insist and he acquiesces. And aside from a very few great leaders, the rest take them further and further from God and from a good life over many generations.

There's a profound lesson to be learned there ... one we've ignored for thousands of years.
