Thanks for this. I appreciate you posting these. And I admire your strength enormously. I guess I should go say this on your post from the other day — bearing up under shunning from friends and colleagues is rough, especially while staying put and not leaving the field or changing.
Watching as I type... the question I want answered is who and what was behind the approval, creation, and implementation of Trump Derangement Syndrome on the American public.
You give me that answer, and we'll know all we need to proceed.
“You give me that answer, and we'll know all we need to proceed.”
Some excerpts below from a Quillette review of a book about the irrational side of human nature. The last one says: “One comes away with the sense that civilization operates on narrow margins and is always on the verge of collapsing into irrationality.” That sure is the truth.
“Mackay makes the case, often in gory detail, that episodes of collective mania seem to be an inevitable consequence of human nature. Humans in every time and place have cast aside their better judgment and allowed themselves to be caught up in all manner of irrational hoopla.“
“His chapters on the Swabian Peasants’ War and Anabaptist uprisings are terrifying depictions of the end-times frenzy that wreaked havoc on northern Europe throughout the 16th and 17th centuries. The distance between these events in the German-speaking world and, say, the Reign of Terror in France or the Chinese Cultural Revolution is not that great. And the speed with which apparently reasonable people moved from the embrace of a new theological idea to a willingness to torture those whose own theological ideas diverged even slightly is startling.“
“There is plenty to recommend about The Delusions of Crowds. It is laden with great anecdotes and the writing is always engaging. One comes away with the sense that civilization operates on narrow margins and is always on the verge of collapsing into irrationality.”
Thanks for posting the Matt - Tucker show . Very interesting! I don’t listen to Tucker too often but I’d also recommend his fascinating discussion with Miranda Devine. And any of you who aren’t listening to Matt and Walter Kirn weekly on Racket News are missing out.
One benefit of this dystopian period of the last 10 plus years is the demise of Legacy media. We don’t have Lyndon Johnson saying “if I have lost Cronkite I have lost the nation” and pull out of a run for a second term in 1968. The long form podcast gives all manner of people voice, Ms. Stone as example on Megyn Kelly, Trump on Rogan, and many many guests on Tucker. Oddly most if not all of the long form podcasts feature hosts that actually ask interesting questions and allow the guests time to thoughtfully answer. This writer would point everyone to the Curt Mills “interview” that Ms. Stone makes note of in her post. 1 hour and 24 minutes, it was hard to listen to, bit like a swirly, but the last 7-10 minutes gave rise to some hope. Mr. Mills speaks of friction between the generations, “we don’t get along”. As a Baby Boomer, and an Infantry Officer in the USMC from 1978 to 1982, I came to dislike most of my generation and for good reason. The list too long for here, but what is not lost on the warfighters of the Y generation is that wars, which they fought for the last 20 years are bad. They may indeed be the a key ingredient to getting some meaningful change in our defense establishment and state craft. The reason the ancient fossils in the US Senate and House of Representatives hate Pete Hegseth and his picks for deputies at DOD is that he knows actually KNOWS how to fight his way out of a frontal near ambush in a tight urban environment. The greatest generation had similar experience, only in far larger numbers. But the mentality is the same, never again. When John Bolton isn’t reheating the soup in his mustache he is starting global conflicts, in which of course he won’t be doing any of the fighting, sort of like President who was a male cheer leader at Yale. Fingers crossed “the kids” figure it out!
I think we are going to have a massive sweep towards contractor conservative journalism where the MSM journalism and most liberal journalism will die out and become an ultra-minority. Cronkite was the peak of liberal journalism ever since then its decline and descendance of corruption has borne its fruit. Thats the problem of liberalism journalist they made it elite and untouchable and now it's no better than the rest and the fall is a hurt liberalism in general.
Hi Sasha! I am new to your page and to you - I saw your interview with Megyn and loved your story, which resonated with mine (sans the film industry connection...). I see now that you're sharing Tucker's interviews - I don't know to what extent and I don't know what your take is on the subject of huge rise in antisemitism since 10/7 and in particular, Tucker's. Since he came out as a Jew hater, I am no longer interested in what he has to say. I'd love to know where you stand on this issue. Thanks!
Tucker Carlson hosted and promoted Nazi apologist and Holocaust denier Darryl Cooper on his podcast. Cooper made deeply troubling statements, including that the United States was on the ‘wrong side’ in the Second World War, and falsely claiming that millions of Jews in concentration camps 'ended up dead' only because the Nazis did not have the resources to care for them. Not only did Carlson provide a platform for Cooper’s ignorance and hate to millions of viewers, he also promoted Cooper by calling him ‘the most important popular historian in the United States.’
Carlson also enthusiastically interviewed Palestinian pastor Munther Isaac. The pastor — who has reportedly praised the “strength” of the October 7 attackers — argued that Israel is no friend to Christians: It bombs them in Gaza, represses them in the West Bank, and restricts their ability to proselytize inside Israel proper.
In general, Carlson avoids the Jewish / Israel subject, as he's smart enough to know that many conservatives are pro Israel and I hope he realizes that sometimes he gets a "little" too far with his conspiracies. However to me, an Israeli-American, the signs are pretty clear. Jew haters love to come up with incredible stories and excuses, dig out conspiracies, all to vilify and accuse 0.2% of the world's population.
Antisemitism is raging out there. I have been personally attacked and harassed by rabid psychopaths. But, it looks like it's perfectly legit. I am not accusing anyone, just genuinely want to know Sasha's take on it. It's her right to think what she thinks and feel what she feels, I just don't want to waste my time on those who hate me (for no reason).
Tucker openly questions Israel’s leadership decisions as well as America’s role in funding their war effort when as a country we are broke. His questions don’t make him an antisemite.
No, they don't. It's who he chooses to interview and in that, give his widely popular platform to, his focus on one and only angle, and lack of balance.
Bottom line, we’re all free to decide if we want to watch a Tucker episode or not. Sasha just makes it available for those who are interested as a service to her readers.
Absolutely. I am just asking her because I couldn't find any other way to communicate. We're all free, as far as I understand it, to make comments here, and also free to choose how we react. Peace.
I think it's unfair to accuse Tucker Carlson of being a Jew hater. I use that exact term frequently in my online interactions with genuine Jew haters, and Tucker Carlson and those people have nothing in common.
I think it's right to see Carlson as an isolationist who doesn't have a great grasp of foreign and military policy. He would like the United States to adopt a less avidly pro Israel foreign policy because he is haunted to the point of obsession by the Iraq/Afghanistan lunacy. He's extremely aware that far out of proportion to their numbers in the population, American Jews were leaders in the making of neoconservative foreign and military policy. I think it's probable this has made him skeptical toward Israel, wary of it. That's a universe away from saying the man is a Jew hater. He isn't a Jew hater, and he couldn't be: Carlson is a Christian, as am I, and no genuine Christian, as opposed to the nominalists, can possibly be a Jew hater. We worship God, who when He took on human form, did it not just as a Jew, but as The King of the Jews.
I agree with you about the Darryl Cooper interview. I am seventeen years older than Tucker Carlson. I remember when Eichmann was caught in Buenos Aires, and it was then or during the Eichmann trial that my mother explained what The Holocaust was to me. In the later 1960s, I met Holocaust survivors.
Tucker Carlson had nothing of this kind of experience. He is a serious man, but an uneducated one. He himself has made fun of his less than serious attempt to be a college student. I think this, and the passage of time, combined with his isolationism, account for the Darryl Cooper embarrassment. Carlson has been a lightweight with the potential to be something better, but he has not had the terrible crisis in life which might have driven him to become a deeper man. He reminds me of what people said about Franklin Roosevelt before Roosevelt was felled by polio.
This, to me, is proof of the unfairness of your accusation that Tucker Carlson is a Jew hater: When the topic of the JFK assassination comes up on his program, Carlson will say something like, "We know that the CIA killed John Kennedy." Well, no, we don't, because they didn't. It's safe to assume that Carlson knows no more about the JFK assassination than he does about The Holocaust.
Really, I am shocked by your calling Tucker Carlson a Jew hater. It's wildly out of whack with what is so clearly perceptible about Carlson if you pay attention to him. There's an old maxim which I am sure applies in the matter of Tucker Carlson and The Holocaust: never attribute to malice that which can be explained by ignorance.
In the last almost 16 months I experienced really everything possible in the Jew hating book, and learned to identify the smallest of signs. I used to listen to Tucker (with my reservations, as sometimes he does step over to the loony universe).
As one that mocked antisemitism or at least thought it was a thing of the past - as a non practicing Jew - I can tell you, without any pride, that I am now an expert in the field.
Tucker brought these people in and gave them his popular platform. He did not do that to other voices, on the other side of those same subject matters. He refrains, as much as possible, to get into the subject of Israel and Jews (hopefully due to ignorance, but I have my doubts). In the inauguration, he sat down during a standing ovation for the hostage families that were brought to the stage.
There are several "levels" of antisemites. There's the rabid psychopaths, like Candence Owens, and the ones roaming the streets and on college campuses. Then there's the online freaks, and then there's the ones that sort of know they can't share their sentiments fully for it will hurt their popularity or status, but they do give out signs. I suspect Tucker as such. Again - he can feel whatever he feels and say whatever he wants to say. I am not "accusing" him. I just want to know if Sasha is onboard of that sentiment or not, that's all.
Clearly there's no repercussions or punishment for being a Jew hater. It is what it is. We see it very clearly. But as a Jew, I just want to know.
I have the same talent as you in being able to recognize an anti-something and like you I am also an expert in it. I too can recognize the slightest in determining an anti-something. My expert talent now recognizes you as an anti-Christian because you are attacking a popular Christian (Tucker) and defending Israel’s actions against Christians. It’s so cool we both have the same infallible anti-something recognition talent. I guess that makes you a Christian hater. There are several levels of Jewish hatred of Christians with the most vehement being the Zionists who like to quote the Talmud verse about Jesus boiling in excrement in Hell. Beginning to see how this works when we call others names? Btw Israel committed and moved from apartheid to ethnic cleansing to genocide in Gaza in 2024 by killing tens of thousands of defenseless women and children, wounding over 100,000 more and making homeless a million. I am a Catholic and US military veteran and I criticize those that committed these atrocities; Nazis and Israel Zionists both. Truth hurts and my data is accurate so don’t bother with the propaganda bit. Peace.
Oh hi, conspiracy theorist looney. Bye as well. Your response has nothing but ignorant, pathetic, ridiculous lies. No wonder you're "defending" Tucker. I bet you have wet dreams about Candence as well. Please move on and leave me alone. Last thing I heard is that I still have the same right as you do to comment here (Iknow you hate that).
I am glad to hear your opinions on Tucker and I will keep that in mind when I watch his interviews from now on. I have not seen a lot of them, particularly the Cooper one. Most of his interviews are very interesting. While it might be regretful that he interviewed that person, sometimes it is a good thing to expose such people so the world can see who they really are. I find it hard to believe that Tucker would agree with him, and I sincerely hope that is not at all true.
Gerald Posner, whose book, "Case Closed," I recommend wholeheartedly, believes that the CIA was "involved" in this way: they knew very well who Oswald was, they knew he'd been at the Cuban Embassy in Mexico City for five days in September, 1963, and they should have contacted the FBI about it, but failed to do so. Incompetence, not malevolence.
Why would the CIA have wanted to kill Kennedy? He was giving them everything they wanted. ( Operation Mongoose. ) In the same hour JFK was being murdered, a CIA officer in Paris was meeting with a guy the CIA thought might be willing to organize a conspiracy within Cuba to kill Castro.
Johnson had known nothing about this, and when in the first few days of his Presidency was told about it, he was shocked, and probably a little scared. He canceled Mongoose. For the rest of his life, he would say to people in private, "Kennedy tried to get Castro, but Castro got Kennedy first."
What always strikes me about conspiracy theologians, as I think of them, is their certainty that The Grand Conspiracy controls everything, while the nature of life is that people f*ck up more often than not.
I knew even before reading your reply, that you would post about his interview with that dude. Tucker talks to everyone, but doesn't necessarily support everyone he interviews (e.g. Putin). Jews see hate everywhere, and I can see why to some extent.
No, Jews don't see hate everywhere, but we definitely recognize it when we do. As I mentioned, there seems to be nothing wrong with hating Jews. My original question was aimed at Dasha, wanting to know if she feels the same. Still waiting for that reply. I just don't want to waste my time on people who share that sentiment. Thank you tho for the slap in.the wrist, I really needed it.
I listen to Tucker only on specific topics that interest me, such as his interview with Michael Shellenberger. Tucker is definitely hit or miss on the people he interviews.
If you’re calling what Israel is doing to the Palestinians “antisemitism” then I recommend listening to what people like John Mearsheimer, Jeffrey Sachs, Glenn Greenwald and Norman Finkelstein have to say about it. Finkelstein demolishes Victor Davis Hanson’s claim that Israel is a democracy and Mearsheimer does the same for the Israeli claim that what they’re doing in Gaza isn’t genocide/ethnic cleansing.
“Watch Jewish Doctor Norman Finkelstein Destroy Common Zionist Argument.” (11 min)
No Seva, what Israel "does" to the Palestinians is not antisemitism. It's war. What people like you are doing, is. Obsessed with a country the size of New Jersey and population that makes 0.2% of the world to the point of telling me, an Israeli, what the "truth" is and what not.
A simple test would prove this: is there any other country on earth you are equally so "knowledgeable" about? That you would take the time to "correct" a native? That you feel so strongly about? Any other conflict, 10x more deadly currently raging in the world you care for or even know about? Let me guess the answer.
That is antisemitism. Rabid obsession. By the way, this strange phenomenon, I learned in the last 16 months, does not discriminate. It happens in Jews as well, just like you demonstrate in your links.
It's a mental disorder that outbreaks, it seems, every few generations. Lucky us.
This is precisely what John Mearsheimer is debating with the Israeli in the video. As for me being “obsessed” with Israel, it’s a tiny country which controls America’s foreign policy in the Middle East which has been disastrous for America. Israel is destroying itself and bringing America down with it. I have good reason to be concerned about it.
“John Mearsheimer Destroys Woke Israel Supporter When Asked For Genocide Proof.” (12 min)
As Sasha herself says, there's a big distinction between criticizing the Israeli government and being a "Jew hater." The latter is indeed antisemitism, while the former is absolutely NOT.
The line is very blurred at the moment and for the past 16 months.
There's no bigger critique than me of the Israeli government. Big part of why I live in the US is because of the shitshow happening there. HOWEVER. The magnitude of the obsession with Israel - and Jews - there's no separation - is far beyond any other "critique" towards any other country. THAT is antisemitism. There is no comparison between the "critique" and "treatment" Israel - and its government - get, and any other country. It's been in the works for many years now. The UN is basically in place ONLY to "criticize" Israel. A country the size of New Jersey, the only democracy in the middle east, the only country where Jews and Muslims live in peace. "criticizing the Israeli government" has proven itself to be nothing but an excuse to spew hate. Which is strange, because clearly, no excuses are needed. Nobody really cares, and the law enforcement let it be. I know it from experience.
Ask yourself what pushes you to even respond to my comments. It's beyond bizarre. I was asking Sasha a simple question. Yet this became a nasty exchange. Why? What makes you so fired up? Are you from the region? If not, then why? Are you getting into similar angry exchanges with Russians? Ukrainians? Pakistanis? Sudanese? Their issues are exponentially larger than the Israeli-Palestinian. Are you concerned in the same way?
The conversation between Tucker and Matt Taibbi is well worth your time. Their insights and the questions they pose are on the mark — I agree that the new age of transparency will reveal all (eventually).
Tucker, thank you from deep inside flyover country. I realized this morning during your interview with Matt Taibbi that the media has been throwing us garbage for years. Taibbi is incredible. After being treated with about the same respect as junk yard dogs your interviews are deep & wide—no longer are we expected to exist on table scraps.
"Will We Ever Truly Know the Purpose of the COVID Regime?" Quoting Matt Tiabbi, or whomever from the video above.
This has mostly, already been answered in all places, the local news for anyone paying attention. What I’m about to divulge can easily be googled and then follow the covid trail verbatim, but not including Dr. David Martin’s important discoveries, concerning. his documentation of all the patents for covid related corona viruses going back to 1999. However, the covid19 saga began in the Washington DC suburbs during the late Spring of 2019, when senior residents were dying from a mysterious pneumonia like respiratory disease at Greensprings, which is an upscale retirement community in Springfield, Va.. The disease spread rather quickly to several other upscale retirement communities in both northern Va. and suburban Md. At least those facilities were capturing the news back then. The plot thickens when the CDC in conjunction with Maryland’s health department close down the bio lab at Ft. Detrick iduring July 2019, in nearby Fredrick, Md. They were shut down for pathogens escaping their bio lab’s s waste systems and various other serious violations. Maryland wanted them closed permanently, because of all the various and frequent violations spanning decades, however the army citing national security concerns, quietly reopened it during the Spring of 2020. Again all of this can be found in mainstream media news during the Spring and Summer of 2019. Nobody's attempted to cover this up.
By the following autumn the respiratory news had faded to the backseat, but a deadly vaping disease, which was later attributed to people vaping substances that had been tainted with liquid vitamin E, which can be toxic, if trying to smoke the stuff. Yet again those deaths also faded to oblivion, for other tales of Bill Gates holding exercises in NYC in late Oct. 2019 to practice for a pandemic for whenever one ‘might’ occur? During this time the army used some of their most gifted athletes to train on the grounds of Ft. Detrick to train for upcoming games to be held in November of that year. The event is Olympic like, since it’s held ever four years in different locals, but is meant for military personnel only. These particular games were held during November 2019, in Wuhan, China. The American team not only performed uncharacteristically poorly, but some also needed to fly home early, because of serious illness. All the above can be confirmed with minimum investigative endeavor. Unconfirmed though, for want of better sources would be whether that U.S. ’team’ stayed in a Wuhan hotel aptly named the American hotel, which is still across the street from the wet market where China reportedly recognized their first covid case in December 2019?
Only then did Trump accuse China of causing this pandemic and the true fact, but ultimately red herring of who caused this world plannedemic. His lockdown in March was kind of late since the disease had been killing folks for nine months previously. I believe Trump oughta be answering that question, with ignorance not being an option, especially with his futile attempt at locking down the economy more than nine months after the fact.
However, none of that answers the above question, which is why plan all this malarkey and kill as many “useless eaters” as possible? That was a sideshow, but an added bonus to shed some of the most elderly deplorables. The manufactured disease, which can cause a wide spectrum of differences amongst the population had to be made particularly scary, by sending patients to nursing homes of all places and putting folks on ventilators, which was proven early to not be the way to treat the disease, but continued here, because it was done to make the disease “scarier”. The disease was a setup to get the populaces worldwide (as much as possible), to voluntarily thru outright coercion, to take the experimental gene therapies masquerading as a ‘vaccine’. The above is pretty accurate, from just the events that occurred leading up to the clot shots that came to us not only at ‘warp speed’ but with the ‘speed of science’, also. The setup of the medical community was facilitated by folks like Bill Gates who was very much involved with this plannedemic’s initial planning phases, no doubt helping to get hospital administrators on the same page as our feds needed them to be.
Below is purely speculation of why this elaborate scheme to fool everyone into an experimental shot? I believe the nanobots, (sp?) in conjunction with the graphene they injected into everyone in various amounts was to see how well people would tolerate the concoctions, at various levels, with meticulously kept records, to later evaluate how much the average person at whatever particular ages could survive and continue to live a relatively normal life thereafter and after later boosters? Imho, mankind urgently needs this information, so they can bring on transhumanism, when and only when, they’ve perfected a perfect artificial intelligence, because between the two emerging technologies folks can purportedly live forever, disease free and zero aging! Science fiction come to life and I believe we’ve got enough crazy oligarchs to set this whole thing in motion a little early, but perhaps early enough they too can all hitch a ride on this technology?
Hopefully this reaches Matt Tiabbi and he chooses to do some snooping, that desperately needs snooping, by a reputable journalist, which Matt has proven to be.
This is one of the best combos of real journalism. Tucker and Matt. All you need is Walter Kirn, Megyn Kelly Michael Shellenberger and Sy Hersh and of course you Sasha. It really is a golden age of joiurnalism. Thank you.
Thanks Sasha...as a journalist, Tucker identifies, and discusses treating, the symptoms of ills in society.
That is what most people find interesting.
* The cause of the ills in society is that several of the original colonies did not get rid of Starred Chamber policies from their legal systems when Britain did (1640s Britain ended Starred Chamber).
* Even after the US Constitution was ratified in 1788-89, a couple of 'states' kept Starred Chamber policies in their legal system.
* The motive was two-fold: unequal justice to ensure blacks were not treated the same as the Christians of European descent; the wealthy often want to buy outcomes in the legal system, which most citizens can't afford.
Star Chambers rely on case law.
Judicial Review replaces constitutional law with case law.
There are charts showing the number of licensed attorneys of many countries in the world.
On a per capita basis, Israel and the US have, by far, the highest ratios of lawyers.
Those two countries do not have equal justice under law.
In many ways he has given a platform to those who outright hate liberal Democrats and wants to unite them. He doesnt care who he sides with as long as their hate for the democrats are there. I suspect the next person will be Erik Adames who is trying to get a pardon since Democrats threw him to the wolves.
You're reading far too much into Trump's objectives.
All he wants is to protect our borders, protect our rights, which Democrats have been trampling on, unleash our own natural sources of energy, leveling the global trade field so we can compete, and not be taken advantage of by foreigners.
This will make our country great again, which it now is not.
The only thing I agree is on border protection he only protects GOP rights. Global trade he has done a very poor job allowing the abuse of H1B to go on and realistically we dont have the work force to back to the even the 2000s. Worst part is he uses click bait to enrage MAGA on democrats like a good salesman. Trump also done one aspect he has managed to unite a base that has outright hatred of liberals the question is how long can that hatred be maintained. JD Vance seems to be a easy heir and Democrats are not doing themselves any favors with infighting.
See the thing is the EOs are easy the repair the economy cutting debt that is where his good will is going to quickly run out especially if he cuts services many people need. MAGA will agree with everything but the voter who doesn't cult both parties they wont like it.
I watched Tucker's interview of Eric Adams and it was very good. Mr. Adams is very intelligent and seems very reasonable. He was also very pleasant. Maybe since his own persecution by the Biden administration for complaining about the illegal immigrants' impact on NYC, he has a better appreciation for President Trump and his policies.
New Yorker, here. Adams started exposing the crisis in immigration in the city not long after his election. There was talk of turning Central Park and Roosevelt Island into encampments for migrants. Suddenly there were people with babies begging for food, sitting all day long on the streets of Brooklyn.
It seems pretty clear that Adams was guilty of nothing more than asking publicly for help from the federal government instead of just keeping his mouth shut and sucking it up like a good Democrat soldier. He had the misfortune to get elected at the same time that Biden, or whoever was making decisions at the time, decided to treat NYC like one of the Southern border states, and just dump thousands of desperate people in his lap with a little note: “you deal with it.”
I don’t see Adams becoming MAGA, however. That’s a lose-lose choice in New York City for a politician.
What really surprised me about the Tucker interview was the total blackout concerning Adams’ alleged crimes and his conflicts with the Fed.
Sasha you have a great voice as Megyn Kelly has said . Your thoughts wisdom and inspiration have helped me see the promise of 2025
Thanks for this. I appreciate you posting these. And I admire your strength enormously. I guess I should go say this on your post from the other day — bearing up under shunning from friends and colleagues is rough, especially while staying put and not leaving the field or changing.

Before you accuse someone of hatred, could you at least provide a quote of his so we can understand if you’re correct?
Tucker Carlson hosted and promoted Nazi apologist and Holocaust denier Darryl Cooper on his podcast.
Thanks for asking.
Thank you for your lengthy response.
Thank you again.
What a freak.
( I see I wrote an earlier version of my reply, but it happens when you let too many days ago slip by without checking your notifications. )
I like your comment, but I would say that the CIA was definitely involved in JFK’s assasination…

Lucky us.
“It’s war.”

Thank you for proving my point.
Preemptive pardons should be found illegal or unconstitutional by the Supreme Court, since you cannot be pardoned, unless you first commit a crime.
Thank you.
I think its the golden age of conservativism and the dark ages of anything liberalism.
You are so out of touch......yo'll never get it.
Best to just enjoy the ride, the repair he's doing to our country, and thank us later
Of course, he is a politician but I think he is going to switch to being a MAGA only because he is guilty and looking for a pardon.
I think the omission in on purpose.
