Very interesting interview, all 2 hours. The description of Kamala as being thin-skinned (just like Obama comes to mind), narcissistic, easily offended and angered is a good summation of her.

Funny you should say that. I just dealt with a Substack host like that. Everything was dandy as long as I agreed with her and offered many compliments. The moment I had a different opinion -- based upon formal study -- she flipped-out in the Cluster-B manner. And banned me. Removed all my months of posts too.

They walk amonsgt us...... And some of them have Substacks.

There are several on here that it’s not worth engaging with their rhetoric. A difference in opinion is fine and expected, but when resorting to name-calling and hatefulness, it’s best to avoid. Can’t argue with stupid or pig-headed.

Some of the Substack hosts believe they are celebrities, and that commenters must stay strictly in the groupie-mode, or else.

Though the funny thing is that many of the commenters are better educated and experienced on the topic than the hosts. They simply hoped for some enlightened discussion with other intelligent commenters. The posting from the host is sometimes incidental, in fact.

I have to giggle, because anyone can open a Substack. Thousands do. These people are not gods. Many of them just hope to make a buck. Although some commenters seem to indulge in the cult of personality over these Substack hosts. That whatever they say must be divinely inspired. So there can be nonsense both ways.

Some Substack hosts groom their commenters.....you do not receive their gold star equivalent (red heart and the "Liked by" banner across your comment) unless you jump through their THEIR hoops and compliment them. It's a control game.

This can even be done by Substack hosts who vehemently claim they are writing for the sake of free speech and democracy. Yeah...right. It is actually all about how much and how well you curry favour with them.

The difference is one has built things, put his own capital at risk, created jobs, monuments providing entertainment around the world, and wants to preserve God given rights as outlined in the greatest document ever drafted by mankind, the US constitution.

The other is a prostitute.

I think that was true of Truman too. His difficulties were why pensions were established for ex-Presidents. Jefferson also struggled but that was more about being a poor businessman after he left office Similar problem for Grant though he redeemed it at the last minute, finishing his wildly successful memoir just a few days before he died.

It’s very easy to be offended and angered by things like open borders, the demonization of “Whiteness!” and the war on meritocracy which is being replaced with Equity aka race based Equal Outcomes. No society can survive this level of stupidity and flat out insanity. Someday even Woke leftists as densely befuddled as you will realize this obvious fact.

On the proper pronunciation of “Kamala”: it is important to note that the Camel has been described as “a horse designed by a committee” and Kamala is certainly a thing produced by and controlled by a committee so just make that association and it’s easy to remember- camel-ah. 🐪

When authoritarians demand conformity, it is best to mock them with comedy!!

The authoritarian leader demands we speak, write and communicate in ways “the experts" deem proper. If we challenge their "constructs" and "pronunciations" and "progressive medicines" (aka hypotheticals) they will censor you for failure to comply to their "social" standards with “teachable moments” …aka "...it's not what you say, it's how you say it." So say the helpful authoritarian.

But when we reply, "it's not what I say, it's how you defend it." You will be threatened with exclusion, prison, isolation if you refuse to self-censor. At this point, any independently minded voter will turn and say, "No. You GTFO, this is We, the People's house!" AKA "You're fired"

Whenever possible, this is best served with a comedic flair. And sometimes crudely and offensively. Shock and awe comedy sketches as folks defend their right to be “assholes” lol

ICYMI but of some relevance to your comments about the "Left's gender ideology", you might note that Andrew Sullivan is at least considering voting for Trump as a result of that:

"Rachel Levine Must Resign: A case study in politics and ideology overruling science. With children as victims."

Good article. I followed Sullivan since at least his time at the New Republic in the nineties when it was at least a sane magazine as was the Atlantic. I lost track of him a few years ago when he got fired from some news site for not being Woke enough. During the Trump years though he’d often write an article about how horribly insane the left had become and then the second half of the article would be about how utterly incomprehensible it is that anyone could actually support a man like Trump.

Never occurred to him he’d just spent the first half of his article pointing out why so many people support Trump. Truly bizarre. He does something similar here where he says at the beginning “I have to say that the news this week has made me reconsider voting for Kamala Harris.” and he then proceeds to tell us about how dreadful it is to promote trans ideology to children which then has the greatest by far impact on on effeminate boys and tomboy girls who would have grown up to be gay men or lesbians.

The fact that gay marriage has been a Pyrrhic victory for gays and lesbians has been known for years and was predicted right from the start of gay marriage when the significance of gender in marriage, consisting of a man and a woman, was erased so that gays and lesbians could marry and this would be considered normal. Yet Sullivan acts as if he just now realized that the democrats are fully on board with this travesty. And they have been for years, even to the point of trying to export it globally! Truly bizarre.

You may have read his article a bit more closely than I did, but you might be misinterpreting his "made me reconsider voting for Kamala Harris". Seem to recollect reading an earlier post of his -- currently paywalled if I'm not mistaken -- where he had argued in favour of Harris over Trump. Why that post of his seemed so significant -- a major volte face, a sea change, if not outright heresy! 😉🙂

But I think he's generally been critical of transgenderism, though the Levine case might have been the final straw for him:

“though the Levine case might have been the final straw for him:”

But how could it have been when there was nothing new about what was exposed? What was exposed has been standard operating procedure for the democrats on pretty much everything they do whether on law enforcement, immigration, education or whatever. They really are quite insane. I live in Chicago which is being destroyed by out of control crime, and the 47,000 “migrants,” mostly Venezuelan, that we can’t afford to take care of. What do the democrats think of this? They don’t think of it since it means nothing at all to them.

Keep posting Tucker, Shasha ... by the way it would be interesting to see Tucker interview one of the worst examples of Trump Derangement Syndrome, Nate Silver, if Silver would accept such an interview.

See below Nate Silver’s rampant pro Harris TDS.

https://www.natesilver.net/p/24-reasons-that-trump-could-win

Especially point 5, where he doubles down on the infamous Hillary Clinton “deplorables” comment.

I had to read this more than twice to make sure I am not misunderstanding it, but Nate Silver explicitly doubles down:

"Populism is often a highly effective strategy, and many Trump voters are indeed “deplorable” in the Hillary Clinton sense of the term."

I am still not sure that I am reading this correctly, surely, surely, surely not 😅

Silver must be a substantially intelligent professional in the field of sampling, but it goes to show that intelligence is no guarantee against stupidity!

The other extraordinary statement by Silver is:

"Harris is the favorite to win the popular vote, but the Electoral College bias favors Republicans by about 2 percentage points. "

The Electoral College is one of the most fundamental structures of American democracy. To use the word “bias” is disingenuous on the part of Silver because he means it in a negative way. If he did not he could have used many other alternatives to describe the “tilt” for the time being at least towards Republicans. What if the “tilt” was towards the Democrats? Would it still be “bias” or would it be “tilt”?

I like the Eastern religions and Western mystics like Meister Eckhart, Eriugena and the French Christian mystic Simone Weil. She was ethnically Jewish but religiously committed to Christianity although was never baptized since she also very much liked Hinduism and felt that Christianity was a path to God rather than the one and only true religion.

Infinite and finite, complex and simple, He is nature above nature, being above being. Maker of all, he is made in all, Unmoving, he enters the world, Timeless in time, unlimited in limited space, And he who is no thing becomes all things.” Eriugena, medieval theologian.

“Freedom and God are objects of faith, not of knowledge; in other words, freedom and God are infinite abysses whose bottoms cannot be sounded by knowledge.” Simone Weil. French Christian mystic. 1909-1943

The Roman Republic and Empire up to Constantine were officially pagan but mostly tolerant of and open to other religions. They pretty much transmogrified their gods into Greek equivalents and there were many practitioners of various other religions, especially Egyptian ones.

In another example, the Mongols practiced a close to modern version of religious tolerance. Chinggis was a pagan but his inner circle was approximately equal parts, pagan, Christian, Muslim and Buddhist. Trying to establish an official religions was a sure way to get on his bad side which was ill advised.

"Clearly" this is a "hit piece" ...Conformist insist we must dismiss; move on!

Because why would anyone begrudge Harris' willingness to have sex with Willy Brown and learn tactics to exploit rich, overly educated neurotic white liberals' afraid of being labeled a racist xenophobe? Plenty of "pretty interns" out there just trying to learn the ropes. Willy Brown rewarding her with two, ~ $100k/yr ($200x2 today) committee gigs and a BMW? Hell, that's no different than Joe Biden securing his son a corporate gig at MBNA for ~$140kyr (~280k today)

"Clearly a hit piece" to point this out. If you don't dismiss and conform, you're a NAZI or ...possibly worse --- KAREN!

Why would anyone want to deflect attention away from the successful career of the craven, glib, smarmy politico Kamala Harris?
