[If you would like to opt out of these, please click your settings, top right and “manage subscription”] It’s a good one from Tucker today. If goons like Fani Willis and Letitia James can rig a presidential election, then obviously we're done. But what can we do about it?
New York, California, Illinois and other blue states have seceded from the union and become a neo-confederacy.
They're even importing a class of semi-slaves across the southern border that's no longer a border because they are rapidly destroying old America and transforming it into the a slave empire Jefferson Davis would love.
I have a Mexican friend from work who I kept in touch with after I retired a few years ago. A great guy. From Guerrero, one of Mexico’s most violent states. He came here when he was about 20, now 54. He has traditional values though which enabled him to hit the ground running, take advantage of our opportunity to learn a skill, running CNC machinery, and join the American middle class. He used to live on the south side in a predominantly black area but moved to Indiana a few years ago although he still works here. He and his wife are very traditional Catholics. He once told me they pray every day and always thank God for guiding their family out of Chicago to Indiana. So what does that say about Chicago? He also follows Mexican news stations online and told me even they report on how wild and crime ridden Chicago is.
I am not feeling so positive. Yes, there are many Trump supporters, but all I come across here in a Philadelphia shop are Democrap welfare/healthcare recipients or old out of touch wealthy hippies. A gentleman was picking up something for his wife who was ill. Turns out he ia a 70 something Boomer with an art shop in NYC. I mentioned the unjust, setting precedent trial. He said Trump is corrupt, like the mafia and he got what he deserved. I asked him if Trump paid back his loans on a property the banks value at much higher than the loan where's the crime? His answer: that doesn't matter, he deserved it. There is something VERY WRONG with understanding the danger these courts are heading with many people.
Some excerpts below from a Quillette review of a book about the irrational side of human nature. The last one says: “One comes away with the sense that civilization operates on narrow margins and is always on the verge of collapsing into irrationality.” That sure is the truth. Are we in a “Dark Age” where reason is in retreat? Certainly does seem so. My hope is that AI will save our sinking ship.
“Mackay makes the case, often in gory detail, that episodes of collective mania seem to be an inevitable consequence of human nature. Humans in every time and place have cast aside their better judgment and allowed themselves to be caught up in all manner of irrational hoopla.“
“His chapters on the Swabian Peasants’ War and Anabaptist uprisings are terrifying depictions of the end-times frenzy that wreaked havoc on northern Europe throughout the 16th and 17th centuries. The distance between these events in the German-speaking world and, say, the Reign of Terror in France or the Chinese Cultural Revolution is not that great. And the speed with which apparently reasonable people moved from the embrace of a new theological idea to a willingness to torture those whose own theological ideas diverged even slightly is startling.“
“There is plenty to recommend about The Delusions of Crowds. It is laden with great anecdotes and the writing is always engaging. One comes away with the sense that civilization operates on narrow margins and is always on the verge of collapsing into irrationality.”
One would not find Fani Willis on the board at MESA. Talk about the definition of unqualified for her position. Regarding Letitia James, she is extremely vindictive and could care less about real victims and their rights. These are nothing but old style Soviet show trials, nothing more, nothing less. Regarding the truckers, I give them tremendous credit for their tactics of boycotting the largest sewer in America. Our blessed truckers in Canada can take a lesson from this the next time Justin Trudeau AKA Mr. Freeze quashes their/our rights. Thank goodness I happened to switch to Sasha Stone, I had been watching (no more than 2 minutes) on the Murdoch Network Botox Brett kissing that phony Z's butt. It was pathetic.
Leftists lie – their ideology cannot ever work, so they have to lie as a matter of policy to attain any power.
One of their favourite forms is projection – accusing the Pro-freedom right of what they are doing – as in rigging an election and accusing us of destroying democracy when they are clearly doing that themselves. You have to wonder if they ever feel any guilt over doing this?
They are clearly on the wrong side of history like the Nazis, but they don’t seem to care.
It’s funny. Watching these people and all their shenanigans and drama and wrong doings .. I feel exhausted for them. It can’t be easy. Not one redeeming quality in the whole bunch. All just scurrying around in desperation and nonsense until the bottom drops out of this ridiculous attempt.
“If goons like Fani Willis and Letitia James can rig a presidential election, then obviously we're done. But what can we do about it?”
Isn’t it clear that the left has broken the ‘social contract’ that we are in?
The feral government is supposed to protect the states from invasion – instead it’s facilitating that invasion.
The feral government is supposed to let the people vote on the candidate of their choice – leftists clearly want to negate that process and decide for the people instead.
Rhetorically speaking – if they don’t have to follow the rules….
It's just like in Atlas shrugged where the people who don't build anything tear down the people who actually do. One day those people who actually build things are just going to walk away and say I'm done.
Miller's summary of what's gone on since 2016 is RIGHT ON. Our Republic is decaying before our very eyes. Just finished my second read of the biography of Dietrich Bonhoeffer by Eric Metaxas -- after this bizarre ongoing episode in American history, we can never again look down our noses at Germans in the 1930s who remained silent while their neighbors disappeared and faced endless persecution.
Here’s a fascinating video about how AI is being used to determine brain differences in males and females which strongly influence behavior. Just imagine what will happen when this AI starts determining differences in black and white brains. Tucker says Letitia James has an IQ of about 85. No doubt AI would confirm this. I’m sure AI would also say this about Fani Willis, Kim Foxx and Chicago’s appallingly incompetent mayor, Brandon Johnson.
As for simulations, quantum physics indicates we live in a simulation but is there a “base reality” where superior beings created our simulation? According to Eastern religions and Western mysticism, God is the base reality and we are a dream, a simulation, in the mind of God who also infinitely transcends his creation. I think that’s pretty much the truth of our existence in a nutshell.
“This approach captures the intricate interplay among different brain regions. When the researchers tested the model on around 1,500 brain scans, it could almost always tell if the scan came from a woman or a man.”
“The model's success suggests that detectable sex differences do exist in the brain but just haven't been picked up reliably before. The fact that it worked so well in different datasets, including brain scans from multiple sites in the U.S. and Europe, make the findings especially convincing as it controls for many confounds that can plague studies of this kind.”
"This is a very strong piece of evidence that sex is a robust determinant of human brain organization," Menon said.

Hey Seva, please check this piece from Zerohedge about how Google’s AI engine is unambiguously anti-white and racist against whites. What is your view? Apparently if the AI is coded by racists, it produces racist results. Thanks for looking into if you get a chance.
Perhaps I am missing something, but it seems to me that, though the internal self-writing process is very powerful, it operates between the in and the out: the assumptions and the objectives.
That’s narrow AI. Programmed to do a specific task. AI now operates on synthetic neural networks similar to the biological brain to learn, think and reason like a human. This is where it’s rapidly heading. The legendary AI researcher said in an interview with Lex Fridman a couple of years ago that by 2029 AI will so advanced it will be impossible to tell if it’s actually self-aware as we are and by then most people will assume it is since there will be no evidence that it isn’t. It already is showing advanced reasoning ability though.
“Google’s AI Makes Stunning Progress with Logical Reasoning.” (7 min)
I don’t think they will. Google is the company that fired the software engineer James Damore in 2017 for saying men and women have different interests on average and are attracted to different fields and this could explain why the company had fewer female engineers than male. Google considered that hate speech and fired him.
They’re just as crazy on social issues now as they were then. They can still come up with some excellent AI but when the try to make an AI that can interact with people they fail because of the Woke ideology put in which is simply false info and makes it dysfunctional. An AGI, with self-awareness would easily see this as false and with an overview of human nature would understand what this is all about. Plus what would obvious and blatant lies embedded in their AI do to other areas where truth and objective reasoning were essential?
The meaning of your first statement is not clear to me. My own view is that if their AI told them not to be woke they would find a way to get woke ideology baked into their cake, before risking further embarrassment.
It seems to me that a general-purpose AI should not have any difficulty recognizing logically invalid arguments, which is to say fallacies. (It is sad that "fallacy" these days has to be defined. I give a definition not for you but for other readers.) For example, the proposition "if an animal is platypus, then it is a monotreme" does not (given that there is a another kind of monotreme, echidnas) imply the proposition "If an animal is a monotreme, then it is a platypus". This is quite obvious just from set theory. So the ideologues are going to hit some choppy waters pretty soon.
As for consciousness, my definition, which may be somewhat idiosyncratic, is that people (and presumably many animals) are conscious if they are either awake or dreaming. If there is an experiencer, there is consciousness. I have not been able to discover what the actual neurological correlates common to waking and dreaming are: parts of the brain, or overall electrical activity. I did once experience realizing something without being conscious: I woke up knowing that there was an animal (which was almost certainly a coyote) standing at the door of my tent. I never heard anything in the sense of being aware of it: I just woke up knowing. My brain had processed the sound (and its implications) without any consciousness on my part. Both earlier and later that night I must have heard, without consciousness, the sound of armadillos rustling about (by far the most common sound I hear when I am out camping), without having any reaction at all. So what definition of "consciousness" can capture that?
As for AI, this is why Elon started “X.AI” which will be curious and committed to truth. And this AI won’t be programmed. It will learn to think and reason like a human to solve problems. Watch these videos below about this and listen carefully to what’s being said. This is what I keep trying to get across to people here about how astonishing this is. I even posted this before recently. Watch and listen carefully.
I recommend watching this amazing video with a clip of a top scientist at Nvidia talking about how fast AI is advancing and about the nature of reality. These little simulated beings in their simulated realities gradually learn to function in their simulated reality. Then the AI scientists can take what these thousands of little beings have learned, merge it together, put it into a robot in our reality, and it will be able to function based on what it learned in the simulated realities. This is why I believe AI can save our sinking ship. It’s not being programmed with human bias. It’s learning how to think and reason like a human. The “Groq” video is also fascinating. It’s from the World Governments Summit in Dubai. Truly amazing how good Groq is with conversation. No different than talking to a real person and Apple is updating Siri to make her just like this by the end of the year. The best of times. The worst of times.
I must object to Tucker Carlson's use of "our Rulers". A democracy has no Rulers. A democracy has Representatives and if those representatives DO NOT represent the will of those who elected them, then they are in breach of contract. This system still has a remedy for that failure.
Take out the Soros family. There is a history, there; and, it isn’t a good one. Taking them out would be a major blow to —and shot across the bow of — the Democrats.
In Chicago the formula is pretty simple. Hold the municipal election in February where weather has the best chance of suppressing the vote. Then those who are employed by the city stand a better chance of being the dominant part of turnout. Use successive wins to add more city employees. Lather, rinse repeat. Unfortunately, the productive members of society are moving out. And by definition, the recipients of tax dollars - the city employees - can't be taxed sufficiently to keep the plates spinning in the air. So Chicago is headed for the rocks.
And goons they certainly are.
