If this actually makes it to his website, the meltdown on the left will be EPIC and GLORIOUS! Tucker has a lot of courage because the deep state will not take this lying down.

I've done a complete 180 on Tucker over the past three years. I have tremendous admiration for his courage and mettle... and it's only increasing with his choices like this.

Imagine a world in which leaders of government - especially the president of the USA, and congressional leaders, congress people and public administrators in general - were as as intellectually and emotionally capable and interested in perspectives contrary to whatever is most widely believed as Tucker Carlson.

There was a movie, I think from the 1950s or 60s, of a future United States when it had become widely accepted that anyone who wanted to be president of the USA was insane and/or bad, not to be trusted etc. The population had recognised that volunteers were not the best candidates for the job.

So a system was implemented akin to Jury service (where the same principles probably apply and have been widely understood for a century or more). The future president would be chosen by some mechanism I don't recall and then drafted, likely against their will, on pain of some kind of punishment, to do their patriotic duty and lead the country, I guess for 4 years.

I know of no Western nation which went into a leadership election, 9 months away, with the two leading candidates (individuals in this case, rather than parties in the UK or Australian model, though they are always voted for in part according to who their current leadership and starter prime minister may be) who are more obviously unfit for the job, in numerous ways which can never be fixed or adjusted for.

RFK Jr is clearly of an intellectual and emotional intelligence class way above most people, including most in politics. But he is fighting the uniparty system and he seems to be avoiding difficult issues concerning Israel and Jewish supremacist Zionism. See other critiques of him in the comments to this article, which starts with a NYT graphic on 18-29 year old voting intentions: Biden 30%, Trump 29% and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. 34%. A medical doctor wrote of RFK Jr. "support of reparations, mandatory vaccines IF they are deemed ABSOLUTELY safe and effective by the National Institute of Medicine".

A Google search for draft "Tucker Carlson" has 1.3M hits. Tucker Carlson threatened a draft Tucker Carlson PAC with legal action in May last year, so they closed down. Further evidence of how smart he is and why it is all the more important to draft him!

(Written from sunny Australia, far from the looming disaster of the forthcoming U.S. presidential election, but everyone will be profoundly affected by how it turns out.)

I bet there could be a good chance that Tucker will meet with Putin and walk away with a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine.

In the meantime I pray for Tucker. I worry about his safety while he is in Russia and what angry mobs he'll face when he returns to the states. "Traitor," some are screaming loudly. That he shouldn't be allowed back into the United States. I say "F you. If you can't support the freedom of journalists, you're a traitor too!!

Our ruling class does not want “a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine.” They want to have a base on Russia’s border that they can use to incite regime change in Russia, install a puppet regime and then proceed to loot Russia’s vast natural resources which are far great than even Ukraine’s resources.

I appreciate the link to the video and did watch it. I know these things in my mind. I am just an old woman who wants peace. I can dream and pray for it.

I just believe that Tucker Carlson is someone special. There's a reason he's going after so much right now. He feels free to pursue journalism his way. He vows honesty to us. I will listen always listen to him. Miracles happen in the most unsuspecting ways.

And yes, I take in all points of view. I may not like everything I read or hear but as I have aged, more than ever, I look closely at opinions that are wildly different from my own.

I worry about that too.

I am just an old woman, who really understands a lot more than my statement about Tucker may represent. I probably appear ignorant. But I can always dream.

Life has taught me that miracles do happen. A lot of us has been praying for peace, for many years. Often prayers are answered. I can only hope.

I will remain hopeful and optimistic.

Putin has long been against the decades-planned New World Order and has denounced the central banking familial-dynastic cartels that control everything (Rockefellers, Rothschildes, etc.). We don't have to like Putin to agree with him, and right now, it's critical we have as many truth tellers on the world stage as possible.

Recently (before his alleged death) Putin put up a monument to Felix Dzerzhinsky, first head of the Cheka.

That was before Stalin's purges reduced the Jewish element in the Party, cut Party ties with Freemasonry (which existed under Trotsky) and threatened a complete rupture with the international bankers who financed Lenin and Trotsky. (Monuments to Stalin are also being erected).

Putin had ties for decades with both Muslim and Jewish oligarchs. This isn't my idea of how to upset the New World Order.

What's still unclear is whether Tucker is going to interview a body double for a corpse.

Putin's body count is nothing compared to Stalin's, and we called him "Uncle Joe".

The world is not going to explode if Putin talks to Carlson. (Some heads that deserve to explode may.)

Putin seems to be fundamentally a Russian nationalist. According to Konstantin Kisin, who should know, the Russians (like the Chinese) do not believe in democracy, considering it weakening and divisive. So of course the leader of Russia is going to be dictator, for as long as Russia remains paranoid, mainly about us. "Our 'containment' is their 'encirclement'".

Expand full comment
David White's avatar

The idea that democracy is weakening and divisive has considerable truth to it. But that does not mean that autocracy is the only alternative.

Here is what I would do: mandate a 2/3 vote in legislatures. In my state, we got along doing that for years. (Of course it was eventually abandoned as partisanship increased.) To avoid gridlock, defined as no budget being passed, we would adopt the British practice of unscheduled "snap" elections. Since there is nothing elected officials hate more than elections, that would give them a powerful incentive to reach a compromise. I would also implement 1) ranked choice voting instead of primaries, which promote extremism, and 2) strict measures (minimizing boundary distance) against gerrymandering, which also promotes extremism. Such measures would at least give us a chance to turn back from the abyss we are now sliding into.

Didn't Time magazine interview Hitler leading up to the start of WW2? I think they even made him the "Person of the Year", putting him on the cover of an issue in the 1930s. There is nothing wrong with interviewing someone just to hear their side of the story.

He wouldn’t be our adversary if we weren’t waging war on him and Russia. All the years of the Cold War a top priority was to keep the USSR and China apart. For decades but especially since 2016 when the “Russia Collusion!” bs began our leaders have done everything they could possibly do to force Russia to align itself with China. We could have very easily been friends with Putin and Russia. They considered themselves European and wanted to be part of the West. Too late now. One of the most insanely stupid things our leaders have ever done, damaged America and destabilized our whole world. And the worst is yet to come.

Agreed, Seva. Russia should have been our natural ally in the GWOT, especially with AQ, ISIS, & Taliban. I think that for this and other sensical reasons, Trump treated Putin with respect. Then Biden comes along with his insults and refusal to engage with Russia's leader and ruins whatever positive relations we had with them.
