Who remembers Gonzalo Lira, a US citizen who died in an Ukrainian prison because he criticized Zelensky?

Sorry but the case of Gonzalo Lira is not as negative as you suggest.

While a resident of the Ukraine Lira was convicted of a crime comparable to wartime sedition. He was released on bail. When he violated the terms of his release he was rejailed. While in prison he contracted and died of pneumonia.

Here is the Wikipedia summary (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gonzalo_Lira):

"As a resident of Kharkiv, Ukraine, he vlogged about the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine and was described as spreading Russian disinformation and propaganda. In April 2022, Lira briefly disappeared and claimed to have been detained by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). In May 2023 Lira was arrested and charged with producing and publishing material that attempted to justify the ongoing Russian invasion, which is illegal under Ukrainian law. Lira was released on bail, but attempted to flee the country. He was arrested again for violating his bail conditions, and died of pneumonia in custody on January 12, 2024."

I don't understand why people still believe official accounts from our government and news agencies at this point. Has our news media explained that the US overthrew Ukraine in 2014, and we have absolute proof of this, and this led to a civil war in Ukraine for 8 years where the US supplied their puppet government to bomb Eastern Ukraine?

But you think you can trust these people to be truthful about Lira.

Look up Bana Alabed on Wikipedia. Remember the little girl in Syria that lived in Aleppo who was having a hard time finding food and water, but was able to post on Twitter every day to please bomb Syria more?

We have the most ridiculous, stupid, propaganda, and I'm tired of people believing it. If you're an idiot that believes garbage off from Wikipedia, YouTube, and television - why are you here? This site exists, because we want to escape the stupidity of people like you.

The right move is just to ignore the corporate media entirely. I'd be hesitant to trust Tucker Carlson as well. This man helped spread the lies needed to get us into the Iraq War. I consider him completely compromised, and probably controlled opposition.

I know and I appreciate that, but I recognized he was wrong when he was wrong, and I'm an engineer. I had less information than he did at the time, I was correct, and his job is to know, my job isn't. What I knew at the time was more than he claimed to know, how is this possible when I'm doing this work in my spare time?

I'm not handsome enough to be on television, I don't have the connections either. I can't see this as an error.

Just be suspicious of him. That's all I'm saying. I know people who have been driven out of the nation, literally, for speaking what they consider the truth. I know real truth tellers, and if Carlson was one of them, he'd be talking to them, and he doesn't.

It's a real cost, very heavy cost, to speak your mind and exercise your most fundamental right to speak. I know from experience, but a lot of people have paid a far higher cost than I have, but it's debilitating. Gary Webb was either driven to suicide or was murdered by our government. James Corbett has fled to Japan.

I don't speak out against corruption just to expose it, I speak against it to save the soul of this nation - we must have integrity and moral authority to survive. If we lose that, we'll just revert to a feudal system. The Feudal system, was just a slave system.

Due Dissidence - https://rumble.com/c/DueDissidence

Jimmy Dore - https://rumble.com/c/TheJimmyDoreShow

I'd be happy to hear if you think these people are incorrect, but I'd like to know how. These people DO make mistakes, but they don't lie as far as I've experienced. Dawson is also an expat now in South Korea.

It's really difficult to be honest today. I worked on the fundamentals of this communication system as an engineer, I never imagined corporations we helped to create would betray our ability to speak. I was very naive.

Again, welcome!! We are seekers of truth, we do our own homework and don't rely on the propagandists to tell us what and how to think. Have a great day ma'am!

It is definitely a concern that so much money is given to Ukraine w/o any valid oversight. Maybe, just maybe, Zelensky is one player in a scheme to set aside provisions for some of the players in the "great re-set" (Biden? Obama? Clinton?) etc. You know... building HIDDEN fortified, castle-type shelters for themselves... stockpiling food supplies, weapons, fuels, transportation, and funds for themselves. What sneakier way is there to do it than with "lost" funds. Then, when the SHTF, they all are sure to have safe places to escape to. Call this a conspiracy theory if you want to.

This is not a high point for TC. Lots of ignorance and not enough curiosity. Zero discussion of the government (both Russian and Ukranian) use of the church in the region. Pure manipulation of an audience who likely doesn't already know and isn't presented with perspective on this persecution by national police.

The difference here is not a religious one like Tucker. Carlson's guest leads us to believe. This is very much more the co-opting of religious organizations by state and government organizations. This is a well-known and long-standing factor in the area. This fact is completely left out of the discussion. He makes it sound like the big issue is the persecution of Christians when, for better or for worse, both sides are Christian. Perspective.

There are more problems with what Carlson says than I have the energy to mention. It is traditional in the Orthodox world for churches to be aligned with nation/states. The monarch chooses the Patriarch. And stranger things have happened than for "established" religions to go after their rivals. (See: Protestants and Catholics, early modern England.) None of this is outrageous by the standards of the region.

Didn't you call me e-illiterate? I just want to know how to embed videos. We CANNOT depend on YouTube at this point anymore. The site constantly censors, it shadowbans, and it lies to the public and promoted propaganda constantly. If it didn't do this we probably could have avoided this conflict in Ukraine.

We caused that conflict by overthrowing Ukraine in 2014, it began a civil war, Zelenskyy was elected to END that war and implement the Minsk Accords, something he promised to do, and didn't.

I knew Victoria Nuland admitted this coup in 2014, that's her famous "F the EU" phone call in which she and Geoffrey Pyatt were picking out the government of Ukraine BEFORE the old one had gone. There was no revolution.

We have upset and frustrating bad decisions in this government before. We attacked Syria, but we were about to have boots on the ground. People knew that we were being lied to, and. That's why YouTube is in part so censored.

If only we could just talk, we can reduce violence and improve the world.

No, I called myself e-illiterate.

Didn't the part about being too old to care give you a clue?

People need to become less hyper sensitive and thoroughly read and understand the context of the written word. I'm a business owner for over 40 years and degrees are meaningless to me and the success of my company. I have a degree in business management but without common sense, I'd have found myself working for someone else rather than working for myself. I certainly didn't not mean to trigger you. I agree 100% with your you tube assessment as it's become a sound chamber for the left and conservatives are being squelching just like the propagandists of the msm.

I’m sorry, I could care less about Ukraine and Russia. What I care about is right here, the nation I live in.
