Interesting interview. Ice Cube has seen both sides and clearly sees the bias and distrust. 👏👏👏

It seems obvious to me that Covid effed up the blue team worse than it did the red team. Why, when each time, it's 40-something to 40-something percent, with the same several swing states deciding the presidential election, must we be so hell-bent on shaving off/eliminating/canceling...Ice Cube, Glenn Greenwald, Dave Chapelle, all anti-war voices, anyone who questions Big Pharm/ Wall Street and so forth? This is a big problem for my blue team. We will be left down to only the most self-virtuous-signaling ones. You will recognize us because we are now dressing in all pink and telling everyone how much we love the movie 'Barbie' before we see it; in fact, following all the demands that movie makes, while back-patting because we are being told how to think, and shaming those 'bad' people who dissent or question. Will we still have enough votes to win?

Good comment Ben. But after all the issues you list, in the end your concern is - can your team still win?

well, I'm a team player. Like Jim Bouton with the Pilots ...or the Astros...

you know, once, I got a Tulsi Gabbard T-shirt, to wear in the Bay Area. I figured, we needed more of that. and did you know, she did what Kamala never did: win a democratic primary. (it was American Samoa, but that still counts). When she left I thought, what a shame. Now I understand. The problem for the red team is that Trump doesn't try to make the tent larger either.

After watching sports for decades, and having my heart broken more than once, I finally had to face the truth: some teams, as much as we might love them, don’t deserve to win.

The problem is that Trump has been so demonized by the democrats that easily 40% of the people now consider him another Hitler and one of the most monstrously evil men to have ever walked the earth. This would make it impossible for him to govern even if he won plus we have open borders, dumbed down schools that poison children with Woke race and gender ideology plus the demonization of white people as privileged oppressors of blacks and the demonization of the police, even black ones, as tools of white supremacy.

The problem is that your Democratic Party has become a criminally insane hate group actively waging a race war against white people, against anyone of any color who opposes them and against meritocracy. The campaign to replace meritocracy with equity, aka equal outcomes, wherever it can be found is quite literally insane as is pretty much everything done by the Democratic Party. This is not a game being played here. This is a deadly and disastrous situation that worsens by the day. Time for you to face the reality of how hideously evil your open borders, hate whitey, hate traditional values, globalist Party has become.

Seva, your fellow Marine is having ship named after him tomorrow in Maine. Medal of Honor winner for taking command during ambush in Vietnam. My brother is going to attend; he’s a Marine also and tight with the brotherhood.

The Marines was not a brotherhood when I was in due to endless conflict with the blacks and it sure is not a brotherhood now that it’s Woke. The top general of the Marines says “The core of America’s strength lies in its diversity.” Not true. The core of America’s strength was our internal commonality as Americans in spite of external differences of race, religion and ethnicity. America’s creed was “Out of Many, One.” The emphasis was on our commonality to promote cohesion and trust which are the essential ingredients of a functional society. This failed with blacks but at least nowhere near as bad as it has failed now with Woke ideology as our national creed.

Woke America, “Out of One, Many.” does the exact opposite which naturally has exactly the opposite effect. Not only are we now encouraged to judge each other by group identity but are also encouraged to believe that white people are oppressors and racial minorities, especially blacks, are the oppressed. This is not a recipe for a strong America. This is a recipe for tribalism and tribal warfare which we’re already in. I don’t mean to be Mr Gloom and Doom here. It’s just that this is what I see.

“Marine Corps is reinventing itself ‘to reflect America,’ focus on diversity: top general.”

The core of America’s strength lies in its diversity, the top general said, claiming that the same is true for the military.

Hey Seva, I went with Fidelity AI ETF AIQ based on your advice and it’s up over 20% since. Great call and thank-you, brother.

I think I did read about that Fidelity AI ETF but I stayed with Vanguard since I had it at work for years and feel comfortable with it. What I like about these AI tech stocks is that this is understandable by the average person. Anyone can go to YouTube and watch interviews with some of the worlds best AI scientists and understand what they’re saying and why this is such a game changer for humanity which then makes these AI stocks the place to be. I know nothing about real estate, gold, oil or any of these other sectors so I avoid them. AI is different though. This time really is different. Glad to hear you like it. I'm hearing a lot of complaints but not solutions. (ha).

You know, when Tony Bordain did his first show on San Francisco, he was "surprised," thinking it would be like Berkeley (which is, at worst, much of what you say), but he found it "a red meat and hard-drinking town." I would add where Secretary Schultz and his wife lived happily and the Hoover Institute and I believe the Ayn Rand people had a chapter, which is to say, before Covid, we really believed in 'do your own thing/tolerance of others' beliefs'. Now we don't, so I would start there.

Next Biden and Trump, besides criminality, are both too old and should stop down. I like Ro Khana, I like Gaven---who your red team media has falsely attacked as an idealogue--which he is not. He is held hostage by the loudest and most insane part of the blue team, that's all.

I doubt if there is a solution to the damage done which democrats are quite determined to continue doing. How many of these democrats like Ro Khana and Gaven have ever objected to things like open borders and the demonization of “Whiteness!” If anyone can save this sinking ship though it would be Vivek Ramaswamy. Super smart, articulate and knowledgeable in so many areas. Committed to meritocracy which your democrats are replacing with “Equity” aka Equal Outcomes.

Vivek would be okay, if he did not demonize China so much. Blinken is NOT more educated than Vivek on the subject, he just seems to be based on what they say in public. How would Vivek' "de-couple"? It is ridiculous, more so than anything Gaven ever said at his most pandering. Also, Just can't get there with you on the persecution of white people, they seem to be doing all right in America...

uh, hope you will not be too upset with my screen-name, egg-head white person translates pretty much the same into English. It fits for someone who went to college for 20 years in three different states, but has no Ph.D. It is self-effacing, so please do not overreact to my screen name. thanks.

Vivek considers China our number one adversary in the world and is appalled that China and Russia are now allies due to our proxy war on Russia in Ukraine. As for race, you consider bias against whites as nonsense because that’s what your Woke leftist media tells you. Same with black racial attacks on white people due to the constant demonization of whites by democrats and their media with their endless talk of how white racism, “systemic racism” permeates our society and is always everywhere at all times oppressing blacks and keeping them down. Obviously this generates intense hatred of whites by blacks which has destroyed the trust and cohesion needed to be a functional society.

When a black man drove his SUV into a Christmas parade in Waukesha to kill as many white people, including children, as possible your media blamed it on the SUV and then went back to their favorite pastime of demonizing white people as privileged oppressors. You believe that black on white hate crimes in America are very rare because your media rarely, if ever, reports anything as black racism. I believe America has already ceased to exist as a country internally which is why it’s so rapidly unraveling externally. No doubt the disastrous failure of the American experiment has already drastically altered the course of world history.

Wisdom is an achievement, not something that just happens to you. It is a narrow and challenging path, it seems to me. One with pitfalls of foolishness, minefields of hubris and tarpits of greed on all sides.

Expand full comment
BigGuy49's avatar

Wisdom is not a personal achievement. It is granted to us through God's grace. Proof? You know people who never seem to learn from their experiences AND you know people who became very wise and thoughtful citizens and/or leaders *because* of their experiences. The Lord does not grant everyone wisdom but you'll have to ask Him as to why.

But He also gave us volition to choose how to use and apply the wisdom He gave us. Depending on our spirit, we may make righteous and productive choices or we may make evil and unproductive choices.

That’s not a universal truth. Only those who have been graced with the ability to learn from experience and who volitionally choose to learn from experience, are able to gain wisdom from that experience.

These days we see millions of people who are experiencing tough times - high inflation, high costs, high crime, poor job markets - because they previously made bad choices in the voting booth. Yet they continue to vote for America-hating Democrats or selfish greedy Republicans. That shows a real serious lack of wisdom despite lots of experiences.

I wish I could have been part of writing the questions here. I'd love to know his thoughts on Suge Knight and how they moved from the bullying of a staid old guard record company standard to bullying from one of their compatriots. Was he disappointed, how did he feel that when they gained control from outside the usual "system", a system of abuse was created that mirrored the sins of the old guard.

Superb video I just watched about Ukraine. I had thought our ruling class wanted to use Ukraine as a base close to Russia so they could easily incite regime change to get control of Russia to plunder their resources but they can also do the same in Ukraine. No wonder they want to keep the war going in an attempt to push the Russians out and gain control of all of Ukraine. That’s quite a prize. They don’t care about the people in Ukraine. They care about those vast resource there. Such evil pigs they are yet they are our ruling class. This is unsustainable. Too many people now know how evil they are for this to continue.

This Yahoo News article about Tucker and Ice Cube was the top story on Yahoo at 11:00 am. I check Yahoo News every day because it’s owned and operated by our ruling class and very Woke, very anti-white, very pro-black, totally committed to LGBTQIA+ ideology. Video about the “migrant crisis” in Chicago is also worth watching. You can see how severely it’s damaging the city in so many ways yet these news reports never mention the obvious fact that the “crisis” is a direct result of our open southern border. Truly bizarre. I always post in the videos to point this out and say what I think. They don’t delete the posts but often later in the day just refresh the video which wipes out all the old posts and starts out new with the same video with new comments. I often then just post my old comments. I wage war on the Woke like this. Every little bit helps. I pound them relentlessly. My favorite pastime.

Internal restraints are gone among a rapidly growing segment of people in our society who lack a sense of right and wrong and external restraints such as arrest and prosecution have been gutted by our progressive elite ruling class. The war on traditional values has pulverized our moral values. This has led to increasing social breakdown aka civilizational collapse. Certainly a very unfortunate development for us all.

“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

“John Adams, a remarkable political philosopher, served as the second President of the United States (1797-1801), after serving as the first Vice President under President George Washington. Learned and thoughtful, John Adams was more remarkable as a political philosopher than as a politician.”
