I watched this earlier today and I have to tell you, Piers Morgan was disgusting. He interrupted Tucker the entire time. Tucker could barely get an entire sentence out.

And before this, I would have said I really liked Piers Morgan.

Tucker did fine. I am the one who had a problem with it.

Anyhow, as usual, TY , Sasha, for the post. You are the best!

I’ve never liked Piers. He’s always been an obnoxious know it all.

I don't give a rat's rear end what an Englishman has to say, or the Guardian, Caller, etc. I can't believe we give them a voice in the U.S.

We're not all like Morgan or the Guardian, you know, both of whom I detest.

Sorry mate, didn't mean to suggest all Englishmen. I know some of you are still for free speech and freedom.

Piers does not seem to remember that the Russians halted their invasion after a few days offering to negotiate a settlement. He also fails to realize that it is not just Putin who fears NATO in Ukraine, but the entire Russian intelligentsia.

Piers Morgan is a moron and even worse, an annoying moron. Typical obnoxious and superior thinking Englishman, and a fine example of the decay of Great Britain. I'm no fan of Tucker Carlson, but might need to rethink it after seeing how intelligent, rational, and less annoying Tucker is compared to PM.

I typically like Tucker's exchanges and find his conversational interview style engaging. He allows the guest to share about their life while delving deeper into the subject matter. Today, I was disappointed in the show with Piers. Piers was a guest on Tucker's show and Tucker didn't treat him like a guest. Maybe it is the Southern gal in me, but I felt Tucker should have asked Piers more questions and let Piers share his perspective or opinion. Instead Tucker was confrontational from the start and frankly, insulting at times. I love a good debate, but Tucker was down right rude. Very disappointed in what could have been a great show.

That is what Tucker is and people wonder why liberals refuse to be on his show?

Listen to Tucker’s other shows. Tucker is not like that with other guests. Piers is not a liberal, more an independent. I am not a Piers’ fan, but I believe if you invite a guest on your show you should do a proper interview and be a good host. Tucker doesn’t have to agree with Piers and clearly doesn’t, but talking over people and gotcha kind of questions and avoiding questions and answering a question with a question is juvenile. You should want people on your show that challenge your view. It only makes your argument stronger when challenged. Hopefully he will reflect on the show and do better when hosting and challenging and invite Piers back for a second interview.

Also, why have a guest on if you don’t care what they have to say or at least want to have a constructive debate? I mean, why invite them on your show? Just have guests you agree with and keep going forward with your usual content.

We are not a nation of immigrants. Immigration means joining an existing polity. It is not as if the English colonists joined various Amerindian tribes. America was "settler colonialism" from the start.

I put this on and got in the shower. Big mistake. Yap fest and interruptions abound. Neither one stopped to breathe. Worst shower ever.

It was kind of fun to listen to them banter and debate. The UK needs an enema. But Piers won’t be the guy to do it.

Lord! “What would you let Putin take”. The obvious answer, even in February 22 is, you go and talk to Putin and Zelensky. Tell Zelensky you’re not going to help Ukraine keep abusing the eastern Ukrainians so he has to “de Nazify” as Putin says. Tell Putin, if that’s not enough for you, we’ll back Ukraine in repelling this”. It’s pretty clear Tucker’s not remembering that aspect. Maybe he will. I’m not through the whole thing and just could not refrain from a comment. It’s that infuriating. Piers has gone on with this “it’s moral” for far too long. Once was too much.

I think Carlson has gone off the deep end.

For example, he does not mention 1) reviving democracy, and 2) inventing science as among the achievements of Western Civilization. It also seems that he never met a conspiracy theory he didn't like. I have a brother who never rejects one conspiracy theory unless it contradicts another ...

Particularly "off the Deep End" was Carlson's argument about Poland. The Russians had military control, and there was nothing the Allies could do about it.

Certainly there are conspiracies, or no one would ever be charged with conspiracy. The problem with conspiracy theories in the bad sense is that they are unfalsifiable.

Zelensky has shut down elections and arrested church officials. He is a disgusting human and got rich from US billion-dollar aid in the last couple of years. He wears guerilla clothes and yet has never picked up a real weapon. Ukraine has been abusing the Russian-speaking citizens in the Donbas. Plus, Nazis had been in power since the US-sponsored coup and had engineered a violent coup against the Donbas for years. After the invasion, the Donbas citizens voted to join Russia

Piers recently interviewed John Mearsheimer, and it is clear that Piers follows the West's lies. i.e., Russia's economy is on the verge of collapse; Russia's army is weak and falling apart; sanctions against Russia could end the war; Putin is a dictator and evil; Ukraine is a Democratic country. Ukraine in NATO is no threat to Russia.

Quotations from Chairman Tucker

Scott Johnson

Feb. 2 2025

Watching Tucker Carlson and Piers Morgan argue is like the war between Iran and Iraq. As Henry Kissinger said of that war, “It’s a pity both sides can’t lose.” In the their recent conversation for Piers Morgan Uncensored, however, both can and do lose at various points (whole thing here, live from Riyadh).

(Snip)

Carlson is a certified thought leader of the conservative movement, a friend of Donald Trump Jr., and a voice that cannot safetly be ignored. Now Tucker recycles Cooper’s teaching with Morgan in this form: “People want to tell me Churchill’s an incredible guy – really? Well, why didn’t he save Western civilization?” He uses scare quotes to add: “I know he helped defeat the Nazis.”

Tucker is anything but stupid, yet that is a profoundly stupid statement supported by a profoundly stupid argument. His comments are idiotic. Given Carlson’s patent intelligence, one has to wonder what is going on here. One may wonder if his manic laughter is symptomatic of something other than amusement. He appears to be in a very dark place.
