Two things on YouTube channels:

1. LEMMiNO - It's a channel done by, as he says of himself, "a Swedish guy in his twenties who enjoys making videos." Whoever he is, he undersells himself. The time and care he takes with his videos are wonderful, especially in a world in which pride in craft is a dying phenomenon. His most recent video is a ninety minute long, graphic analysis of exactly what happened in Dealey Plaza on November 22, 1963. I've never seen anything like it. His abilities to reason and build a case are so remarkable that if I were President, I'd want to hire him as a defense advisor.

2. Sean Munger. Munger is a credentialed historian. He has a two part analysis of the JFK assassination which answers any doubts anyone might have after having watched the LEMMiNO video. The whole thing lasts about three hours, I think.

If you're going to watch only one, make it the LEMMiNO video.

The shouting was ‘get off my lawn’ like shouting.

I will say this next part and perhaps others won’t agree. I agree with Biden Administration call to build that seaport in Gaza, bring in food to hungry Gazan people. I know that panders to Arab votes domestically, but regardless of administration, I think it’s the right thing to do.

4 additional thoughts on this.

1) This effort could help undermine UNRWA, the UN agency that makes every new Palestinian birth classified as a refugee, and is headed almost exclusively by Palestinians, who also support schools that teach Jew-hate. UNRWA promotes perpetual victimhood. US funding to UNRWA already suspended, make it permanent. Deliver aid to Gazan’s that is not ‘confiscated’ by Hamas because UNRWA is in cahoots. Or if it is…

2) Bring Hamas out of their holes to ‘follow the aid’ so they are easier targets to IDF

3) Allow Hamas to attack US troops for trying to feed people, if they dare. Use that to fight back against the youth in West absurdity supporting ‘From the River to the Sea’. Yeah you wanna continue supporting people that are harming those trying to feed hungry kids?

4. Bring non-fighting Gazans out of their holes to get aid. Allowing IDF to better target Hamas combatants who stay behind, or those that try to infiltrate. Sift the wheat.

I hear conservative voices in opposition to this move. I think it’s because Biden Administration doing this - it has become a natural reflex to oppose whatever is said, after 3-years of piss poor decisions by this White House. In this particular case, I think he’s right. I’ll be interested to hear what Trump says. As a Christian I approve this move.

The only way I would oppose this is if it came out that 10/7 was a false flag event.

I like your commentary, especially undermining UNRWA. We have provided aid for decades only for them to build tunnels and gather weapons rather than take care of their people; a port will only further this behavior.

There is a reason NO OTHER Arab country will accept 'Palestinians' and we should heed their example.

Matt, Danimal, Jeff, Pacificus, al, I respectfully disagree about seaport in Gaza and indeed don’t want to send another dollar to that region (Arab or Jewish). Add Ukraine to the list I don’t want send anymore money too. I pay several hundred thousand dollars a year in taxes and I am fed up with funding foreigners and illegal immigration. Gaza, Ukraine, Israel are endless money lots of war, conflict and corruption. 99 cents on every dollar sent there is spent on neocon wars and the subjugation of the poorest there. Take care, guys, on most issues I am on your team.

What’s being done to the Palestinians by Israel is demonic. It’s genocide and ethnic cleansing. They are literally starving to death in Gaza while Israelis block food aid trucks trying to get in and Israeli soldiers just stand by and watch. Something like 12,000 children have been killed either by the bombs, by being crushed by the collapsing buildings or, worst of all, simply buried alive. More than a thousand children have lost limbs. This is evil. This is Satanic. Most of the world considers this genocide and this will have profoundly negative consequences for Israel and even for America since our ruling class enabled it by supplying money and 2,000 lb bombs to destroy Gaza. I am not on the same “team” as the many conservatives who delight in the destruction of the Palestinians who have a right to exist. This bloodlust among conservatives is grotesque and deeply repulsive to me. I simply despise them for it.

Kim Iversen, Glenn Greenwald, John Mearsheimer and others say Netanyahu has never wanted a two state solution. That’s also what this Jewish professor of economics in London says in this Quillette article. Why was Israel’s border with Gaza so defenseless on Oct 7 when Hamas launched their deadly attack? Because the troops that were supposed to be guarding the border were redeployed to the West Bank to help Israeli settlers steal land from the Palestinians.

“How could the catastrophe on 7 October, which claimed the lives of at least 1,400 Israelis and has left 220 as hostages of Hamas, have happened? How could Israel lose control, over the course of a few hours, of an entire swath of its sovereign territory, including twenty-two kibbutzim and other villages? Beyond the obvious intelligence failure, one reason is that a good portion of the troops in the enlarged division that was meant to be guarding the Gaza border had been redeployed to keep order and protect an ever-expanding archipelago of tiny, often unauthorized West Bank settlements and roads leading to them. The sole purpose of these outposts was to establish a de facto Jewish presence in the West Bank and hence restrict the actions available to future Israeli governments. Objections and warnings by the defence establishment that the military and security services were overstretched, that the army no longer had the requisite forces or the time to train soldiers properly, were dismissed as the defeatism of an old and tired secular elite, by a growing chorus of hyper-patriotic, right-wing zealots, people often with little or no practical military experience.”

“A Generation of Misguided Policy in Israel.”

For more than a generation, defense policy and much else has been increasingly determined by the dictates of Israel’s religious settler lobby and its Messianic visions.

“From the river to the sea.”

How is this different from what the Likud Charter says? The Likud Party Charter, Netanyahu’s party, says “between the Sea and the Jordan there will only be Israeli sovereignty.” Isn’t this the Israeli version of the Palestinian chant “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.”? If the Palestinian slogan is calling for genocide against Jews then isn’t the Israeli slogan calling for genocide against the Palestinians? Right about the 13:40 min point in this video Kim shows the text of the Likud Party. This is an impossible situation but that doesn’t mean the Israelis have a right to exterminate the Palestinians. This will turn Israel into a global pariah state which will be severely damaging to them.

Same rhetoric but there is a diversity of opinion in Israel but not among the Palestinians. Likud is simply the biggest faction in a shaky majority. There is also no diversity among the Arab states. None of them want anything to do with Palestinians.

Israel is already a pariah state and always will be because they are Jews not because of any actions they have taken. Israel is more restrained than practically any other state, including the US.

Maybe this could be step #1 towards developing the Gaza Marine natural gas field, and funneling those revenues towards wholesome outcomes for Gaza & West Bank. Israel has opposed and prevented this development for the last 24 years, out of (rightful) fear that Hamas would use the $ to promote more terrorism/war.

There will be no lasting peace in that region until Hamas/OA leadership sees a more $$ compelling sponsor than Iran/Syria/Qatar and to lesser extent Turkey & Egypt. I think prior to Syria going into chaos, Iran/Syria was pumping ~$13-$15M per month to PA/Hamas. Could Gaza Marine natural gas field development be the catalyst towards a better, peaceful, future?

https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/israel-gives-nod-gaza-marine-gas-development-wants-security-assurances-2023-06-18/

Did Iran see this (along w/ Saudi’s about to formally recognizing Israel nation status) as a ‘threat’ to their $ influence over Hamas, and this helped spark 10/7?

Last week, BP and Adnoc (UAE biggest oil company) pulled out of deal to buy up 50% stake in Israel largest natural gas development company, NewMed Energy:

Very true. Thinkers vs. Feelers. Most men are Thinkers; most women, Feelers. And that, a Myers-Briggs concept, explains Men are from Mars; Women are from Venus. It also best explains the differences in who we vote for: men are generally more inclined to make decisions using logic first, then people's values; women, the opposite.

It's far from 100%, but this explains the vast majority of the differences in how we think.

No, I thought she sounded pathetic too. My theory is that she was nervous and tried to cover for that by over-acting and turning her talk into a performance. But she desperately needs a media coach to teach her how to speak without sounding like a kindergarten teacher.

Beeswax, I do not think it is important how she feels or why she delivered her speech the way she did. What is important is that Republicans are bad at winning. Extremely bad. She surely will not attract additional voters to GOP. And it is a big strategic mistake. Not on her part - she is obviously inexperienced and did the best she could. But where were adults in the GOP? And the rumor that Trumps views her as a candidate for VP. I don’t even know what to say. They should have learned from Sarah Palin, but Palin looks like a brilliant politician compared to her. Do Republicans even want to win? I am beginning to seriously doubt it.

Democrats on the other hand are so good at it. They stand shoulder to shoulder, all their differences swept aside, socialists and moderates, pro-Palestinians and pro-Israel Jews, with clear message that everyone who is not with them is an enemy and should be silenced, ignored or persecuted. Just to stay in power. No one challenges the empty suit of a president because that’s the sure way to keep the grip on the country. We are on a direct path to become Soviet type or NK one party tyranny. That is unless the GOP gets their act together.

Loved RFK Jr’s message. I’m in CA, which I know will go Biden, so my vote doesn’t count. I’m still going to vote anyway, and I plan to vote for Trump. Mainly because of the Dems’ efforts to supplant Democracy, and put the man in prison one way or another. I hate the lawfare, the creepy and medically horrific stuff the Dems support doing to kids, and that’s enough for me. However, RFK Jr, is compelling in his message. Yes, I know he’s made extreme statements relating to ‘disbelievers of climate change.’ The other thing is,

RFK Jr will not make a definitive statement on transing kids in relation to the pharma and medical industries. That is troubling to me in light of all his other work on big pharma. I wish he would take a clear stand on this but he won’t.

I couldn’t listen to Katie Britt for more than a couple of minutes. She speaks like she’s talking to children, and I get annoyed by the infantilization. I don’t know why some women do this. Nikki Haley and Kamala Harris do it too. It’s very inauthentic. She seems like a nice lady by all means though.

As soon as I hear the phrases, ‘kitchen table’ and ‘difficult conversations’ I check out. Same with ‘walking and chewing gum at the same time’ which really drives me nuts.

I didn’t watch the State of the Union. Biden disgusts me in every sense. The finger pointing/stabbing motion, the hands moving like a priest, the shouting, the slurred shouting, the tiny, beady eyes, sunken in his skull. Hate oozes from him. He’s revolting both in appearance and character.

Politics is such a turn off. I keep up and at the same time, keep a distance to maintain my health and happiness. My husband and I are watching John Adams, with Paul Giamatti, and that’s what we tuned into last night. It’s very good, by the way.

Kennedy's position on climate change has evolved. Read his environmental policy on his website. I'm sure he's opposed to surgical and pharmaceutical transitioning for children, because he is universally skeptical of all pharmaceuticals and unnecessary surgeries. He's also very concerned about the effect culture and social media is having on children.

Expand full comment
Marsali S.'s avatar

I think he has tamed on climate, and I respect and agree with his environmentalism. However, I have watched him on several different long form podcasts where he was specifically asked about the transing of kids and he says, “I don’t know, I don’t have enough information on that.” Even pressed, he keeps giving the same answer. It’s surprising to me, given his stance on big pharma and how it hurts people, and vaccines injuring kids. I saw him say this over a year ago, and he’s still giving the same answer. I saw him say this again only a couple of months ago. I don’t know if he’s afraid of the activists, or if it is his liberal background (which I share), or what? It’s puzzling and surprising to me, since he’s so informed about big pharma. Maybe he truly doesn’t know, but he should take the time to get informed about all sides of this issue. I know he supports parental rights, which is good. Some of us consider this to be a voter issue.
