Sasha, you are the best. No one else even comes close to your podcast production value. With your delivery, video clips and music you are in a class by yourself. You Rock!
When you attract enough attention, someone’s not going to like it. That’s the price of success. Let it go and bask in the adulation of your loyal fanbase.
Sometimes the music piece is so good I will search it out and put it in my playlist! Other times I may not take the time to listen to it or even some of the sound bites. You know, whatever.
It's obvious that most people LOVE your work, including the music selections. I sure do!
I don’t think their is a better podcast out there. I unabashedly love each interview snippet, film cut and the brilliant insights you offer. Don’t change a thing and keep it coming please! ❤️
Sometimes I listen to the music at the end, and sometimes I don't. But I never thought to complain about it, since it's always possible that my tastes are more suspect than the musical selection. Most of the time I appreciate being exposed to songs I normally wouldn't listen to. That's a good thing. Thank you for that.
Totally agree. I don’t always listen to the music, or just a sampling of it. However, I would never complain about the music because ‘to each their own’ style. Sasha please learn to take it as not worth a grain of thought and continue as usual.
Don’t you love unsolicited advice?🙄 I have had a (non-paying) subscriber tell me that my GIFs are distracting from the content (hi, I’m a humor writer… The GIFs are often times the punchlines), and another essentially told me I was going to hell for using AF in a post. As in the acronym, not even written out. 🤦♀️ My profile photo is a sweatshirt that I own that says I’M NOT FOR EVERYONE. Enjoy your movie!🤣🤣🤣
Lots of us value and appreciate all of the work you put into your stacks. I’d tell you “just move on” but then I would be a hypocrite.😉
I doubt you could find any music that would appeal to everyone. I’m a Boomer, so the music of my youth was 60s rock, but my favorites were all written in the 18th century. It’s your podcast, and you choose the music. Those who find it objectionable seem to be missing the point - it’s at the END of the podcast. You can just quit right there. To get the music you like, subscribe to Spotify or Apple Music.
You do YOU! And I love the recordings. The more the better. I thought today’s was fantastic, as usual. Um, would you consider rethinking your stance on Steely Dan? 🤷🏻♂️😶😜. Keep up the GREAT work Ms. Stone!
One of the reasons I love your podcasts is the music. I love how you integrate it! I look forward to everyone of them! Please continue giving us your wonderful perspectives! Thank you 😊
Music is generational. I hated my parents' music and my kids hate mine...I never paid any attention to Springsteen, even before he went full moonbat. Wrong half generation. On the other hand, I still like Grace Slick who was always a moonbat. Reminds me of being young.
I grew up listening to Steely Dan. It was always playing at the college bar where I played and worked. So I liked the music on the last cast. Sorry Rich if you were offended. Your content and perspective was spot on. All we can do is “stay true” to ourselves. Hope you enjoyed your road trip but glad you are back.
Well, I actually like Steely Dan, but I didn't until I was in my 50's, 20+ years ago. And so, different strokes for different folks.
Sasha, you take criticism too much to heart. I think it is because you care so much about both your product and your customers. But to quote the late, great Ricky Nelson "You can't please everyone so you got to please yourself" (from Garden Party).
I mourn the passing of Brian Wilson. May he find the peace he so richly deserves.
I'm heart broken that Sasha is not a fan of Steely Dan. I'm primarily a jazz/fusion enthusiast but it was an evolution that started with the Beatles and Stones and somewhere along the way took a detour on a road that led to the music of Return to Forever and Mahavishnu Orchestra. Those are bands that I'm sure Sasha would dislike much more than Steely Dan. ;-)
Knowing that my musical taste is not popular, has led me to refrain from being critical of other people's tastes in music. Honestly though, I can't recall any music that Sasha has used that I disliked.
I’m not so much of a music aficionado but I’ve never had an issue with it. What I do totally appreciate is your speaking voice, the tone, volume, and depth of feeling that comes through.
I’ve even had the thought that you would be an excellent reader/actor of audiobooks.
WHAT?! Say it ain't so, Sasha – say it ain't so. It's difficult to believe, but okay.
You DO know, of course, that Steely Dan existed as a band for maybe the first album – after that, it was Donald and Walter, and a collection of session players, many contributing on a regular basis.
Not that any of this matters, of course – for example, I've never cared for U2, and no one will ever convince me that they're anything more than just another band from the UK.
Musical tastes are, of course, varied. I haven't done any of your Stack videos yet, but your clips in the written stacks are almost always compatible to my tastes. I think I recall only one that I didn't care for that much.

Haters gonna hate. Oh well.
And nobody is forcing anybody to listen to the music if they don't want to. Just enjoy the rest of the excellent podcast and skip the music part.

Please never change.

I'm not a fan of the animated GIF's either so I just block them.

Dear RICHY BOY. The music is "horrible"? Huh??
It's not like Sasha is the DJ at your important event, Dude!
What is your hassle??

Mee too. Except I did like Springsteen.

Like they say, you can't please everyone. I have a personal hatred of all things Beatles, and the Stones, Doors and Springsteen are barely tolerable.
I’m curious what song triggered his comment? Music is so subjective, one person’s gold is another person’s trash…

I agree, her voice is special! I love it!!!
"Look, I never liked Steely Dan."

Same here NotHead....I had no prob with SteelyDan, but nevver understood an affinity for U2. I even prefer Sonny BONO over U2 BONO.
Wasn’t that an eye opener when Sonny ran for office as a republican? What an original!
Musical tastes are, of course, varied. I haven't done any of your Stack videos yet, but your clips in the written stacks are almost always compatible to my tastes. I think I recall only one that I didn't care for that much.
So, here's just one vote For your taste in music.
Keep up the great work.
I hear he took flute lessons but it wasn’t for him.
