I’m a nervous wreck!

Worst, if Trump loses I will be convinced that all the strategically place illegals will vote Harris and push her over the line

I keep praying for our nation

I’ll probably listen to Megyn Kelly- she’s been so impressive

That's true. But remember, God spared him from two assassination attempts, and it had to be for more than playing golf at Mar-a-Lago.

The illegals won’t vote. The NGO that shipped them I. Will vote for them. Tightening that screw should be one of Trumps highest priorities

Kathleen's avatar

The DOJ sued the state of Virginia when Virginia tried to purge illegal aliens from the voting rolls

They most certainly are voting

Richard's avatar

The NGOs are the key problem. Here and all over the world.

David White's avatar

Yes. They deserve some *severe* regulation. Or maybe a temporary banning while we sort things out ...

Richard's avatar

The way to do it is to pull their tax preferences. Got to leave the churches alone and a few legitimate charities but all the activist ones and their contributors have got to pay.

David White's avatar

That would reduce their money, but not (on a percentage basis) by a lot.

Richard's avatar

Mostly they are 401c(3). Their operations are exempt but the big deal is that contributions are deductible.

Hi Gio, I mean that God wants us to fight for goodness and even if we don’t win the fights on earth, we are doing our part to have a better chance of getting to Heaven. I learned as early as parochial grade school that there are two lives; a very short one here in earth and an eternal one of wonderfulness in Heaven or abject despair and suffering in Hell; I concluded I wanted Heaven. And I see fighting the good fight as fighting for goodness. God bless you, amigo.

When illegals are given driver’s licenses and they know if trump wins they could be deported; whereas Harris wants to reward them with amnesty

Of course they have plenty of motivation to vote- and how is proof even possible?

Kathy Christian's avatar

That's why they were allowed into the country. To permanently change the electorate.

Casey Jones's avatar

And do you think that any judge will hear it if they do? Overwhelming or nothing.

MyOpinion's avatar

I have been watching RCP in real time for hours.

AncientViking's avatar

RCP is slow, but generally accurate. Although, i'd like to find the raw vote there. I'll look around.

All you have to do is refresh your screen from time to time.

Just posted this comment on another stack...I"m a former Dem who had my first and only panic attack when DJT won in 2016. I was OVERJOYED when he was defeated in 2020.. and I laughed to myself today as I cast my ballot for him, realizing that even a few months ago I couldn't have conceived I would be voting for him and really hoping he wins.

Almost no one I know would suspect this vote.

I'm guessing and hoping there are many more "hidden" R votes like mine today.

(Edited to correct autocorrect)

Mista B's avatar

That was me in 2020. I voted Gary Johnson in 2016. I remember thinking about 6 months out to the election I thought "Am I really going to vote for Trump?". When election day arrived, I would've crawled through razor wire.

Kate Cahill's avatar

I voted for Gary in 2016 too (even though he's a big "meh"!) then Trump in 2020. Almost always voted 3rd party (NYS-so what does it matter?)

JJoshua's avatar

Well done. Excellent reasons and rational thinking.

Once you look from the outside, TDS is quite scary how it robs the individual of all rational thinking.

Madeline McCormick's avatar

Count me in as well. Life long liberal voted Trump and Republican all the way down in ballot in Chicago!

Bridget's avatar

Oh my gosh...I wonder if people like us are helping make the difference...

John B's avatar

The description of your path is exactly mine. Life long Democrat … voted all Republican this year.

Bridget's avatar

I think there might be a surprising number of us...

Mista B's avatar

I was a two time Obama guy, and a Kerry guy when I was 18 (shudder!)

JJoshua's avatar

What changed your vote to Trump?

Bridget's avatar

#1/#2 (tied): freedom of speech/press; bodily autonomy in terms of vaccine choice.

I also fear the ever-increasing "woke-ism" and cancel culture.

I spent the past couple of months coming to grips with my TDS and realizing how much media manipulation had shaped my opinion of him. I still don't love him, but I now realize so much of my opinion wasn't my own.

RFK joining the team was a HUGE draw for me. I felt dubious initially, but once it seemed like Trump was taking MAHA seriously, that made a very big difference (and regardless - Kamala sure wasn't going to care about any of the RFK issues!). I think the MAHA platform could honestly transform America all by itself (it any of that stuff can get through legislation).

It's hard to make the choice to swim upstream when most of your loved ones suffer from severe TDS - even if you're thinking you're making the right choice. Ultimately I HAD to cast this vote, because I live in a swing state and I really, really didn't want her to win.

And I felt at peace with it today. That was the part that surprised me. It took me a while to get from "I'll just hold my nose, oh my gosh, I can't believe I'm even considering this" to "This could lead to really big changes." Hopefully good ones :)

Kate Cahill's avatar

and look at Megyn Kelly!! Damn she really spoke her truth as to why she was on team Trump!

Kate Cahill's avatar

Bridget-- I pray that you are correct and there are many more of "you" out there!!

I'm cautiously optimistic. I just don't understand why any woman would want the first female president to be a moron! It's like Meygn Kelly said today. She'll set women back decades

madaboutmd's avatar

Right! Of ALL the women, this is the woman you want to be the first? If she wins, HRC will literally die inside!

Madeline McCormick's avatar

Spot on. She's a vapid, empty woman who has been given access to power through sleeping with the married mayor of San Francisco right after she graduated law school. It's every stereotype about female success.

Cobalt blue Massachusetts here. I voted an R ticket, except for those Ds running unopposed; for them I just left the bubble blank. My vote has no chance to give Trump/Vance any electoral votes from MA, but it’ll count toward the popular vote.

I’m a socially liberal libertarian who has voted L my entire life. I’m 43 years old. Voting Republican for the first time tonight.

JJoshua's avatar

I'm in Mass too. Mass will stay blue forever. Lizzie Warren is going to win, sadly.

Libertarian's avatar

I went to vote at 6:30 am this morning in PA and polls opened at 7. By that time the one line was out the school door and to the street. To me, the vast majority looked like hard-working conservatives rushing to vote and get to work in the private sector (since the public sector is closed today).

Mad Dog's avatar

Watching the Daily Wire report and listening to these Kamala Harris voters. Good Lord, they're stupid.

I’ll be watching Tucker on TV & following Matt & Walter commentary on my phone.

Bill Pieper's avatar

Take solace in the likelihood that no matter the outcome of this election, legacy media numbers are toast, no one takes them seriously or ever will. It's over.

That doesn't mean they disappear, they will probably get income from elsewhere, but no one watches them, so who cares?

Sasha Stone's avatar

I hope it's the end for them.

JJoshua's avatar

It doesn't matter. The school system still brainwashed and is a toxic sewer that raises these zombie lemmings. Even without the media they see still brainwashed. It starts young.

Bill Pieper's avatar

School choice will be yuuuuge under Trump.

Bill Pieper's avatar

I saw posts on FB, which I have not used for a decade, stating that Trump is going to put people into concentration camps.

These people are beyond reach. Almost all of them are women, boomer/x-gen, mostly childless and divorced, living in extremely liberal regions, Madison, WI, NYC, Telluride in my case.

How do people become this delusional? Amazing.

JJoshua's avatar

They are brainwashed and have TDS. It's truly mindblowing.

Bill Pieper's avatar

They are not stupid. They are mostly 'well educated' i.e. credentialed, highly indoctrinated and more invested in the shitty status quo. ... They have become the same people I routinely mocked while in university, for all the same reasons. Perpetually juvenile in many ways even though they have 'respectable' careers.

I rarely talk to them now and never about politics.

Lis's avatar

I'm feeling very calm today. Which is kinda crazy after the last go-round. But I feel in my gut that we got this. I feel it will be bigger than they think. I sure hope I'm right.
